Sweet Like Candy

My main goal at the perfume shop today was to test and compare SLC & Ari, neither of which I have tested before. Sadly I dropped the paper strip right after leaving the shop! I had sprayed some on my arm, just not on a pulse point. To my nose 'Sweet Like Candy' is not as sweet as Ari. This is also sweet but WAY more subtle. The dark berries are there, not sharp or chemical-smelling, very nicely done. The whipped cream and marshmallow are there too. If you think of dark berries mixed with whipped cream and marshmallows, that's how SLC smells like, without too much added sugar. In a way the name is misleading because Ari is extra sweet - it's literally sweet like candy - so these two perfumes should swap names. 😉 Reminds me of Viva La Juicy Noir. Very nice, soft, sweet but not too sweet, comforting scent. Quite dreamy too. Sadly I don't pick up the pear. And you need to be into dark berries to like this perfume, they create the atmosphere. I might prefer this during cooler seasons as a warm comforting scent. I don't necessarily associate whipped cream with summer ~ I want something ultra fresh and light this time of the year. SLC is not heavy though, I found Moonlight heavier thanks to the plum note. If you're thinking about blind-buying Ari, SLC or Moonlight, and don't know which one to choose, I'd say: -If you want the sweetest option out there, that's strong and bright, then go for Ari. -If you want a dark berry cream dessert that's still sweet yet more subtle, then go for SLC. -If you want a heavier plum dessert, which is also good for night-time, then go for Moonlight. They're all well done and beautiful in their own way, and the marshmallow is in all of them. To me, SLC and Ari are very different from each other. In fact, I find SLC to have more in common with Moonlight, though they're different too. All three are clearly in the same family though, share that same Ariana DNA. Lastly; I will not recommend these scents for specific age groups because putting age-limits on smells is unnecessary and restrictive. Also grown adults have sweet tooth's and therefor sweet smells don't belong only to kids, teenagers and early 20s. 😉🍬

Guys. Guys. GUYS. What a beauty. I literally want to infuse this scent in my freakin scalp and veins. ITS JUST SO GOOD. You smell it and IMMEDIATELY THINK "so good". (Okay look....first time I smelt it in a store, all I got was alcohol. But trust me. Spray it on ur wrists real well (and ur clothing), come home, and you'll see.) With every whiff you get of this, you will just be in absolute ecstasy because it smells SO NICE. (atleast for me). I dont know what the heck it is- but it just smells like someone you walk past in town or something who just smells LOVELY. Gosh- I literally spray this everywhere. I first smelt this scent when I was on the back of my friends bicycle and I just COULDNT stop smelling her hair LOL. Thats how nice it is. Its like......."beautifully sweet????-ish skin thats kind of....fresh? BUT NOT IN A "💥CITRUS💥LEMON💥ORANGE💥BOOM" kind of way....just very "🌬🎐💞😍 ". So so nice. Its not too fruity at all. Heck- its not even fruity....its just...a cream-y...pleasant.."instantly in awe" kind of scent. Not harsh or bitter or "too sweet" like all these other folks are out here saying. Trust me I KNOW what sickly sweet smells like- and its bloody disgusting. This, however is not sickly sweet. Just...please....try it.....AND I ALSO REALLY WANT SOME PERFUMES THAT SMELL LIKE THIS LOL 😭😭

When I tried this for the very first time, I instantly knew that I had smelled this before somewhere. I had never owned it, never knew anyone who owned this growing up (surprisingly), but the smell was so familiar - I definitely have smelled this somewhere or on someone before. It's so familiar!! I was also a bit disappointed though because my expectations were really high thanks to the name but I found it was actually more subtle soft juicy scent rather than a screaming in-your-face sugar overload sweetness that I get with Vanilla Suede. The name made me think it was going to be either very sugary or just way more sweet than what it actually is, or at least much more bold but no, it has a much more subtle, underlying sweetness whilst still being incredibly sweet. This, like Ari, had issues when I first got them because it felt like no matter how much I sprayed, even smelling directly from the bottle, I couldn't smell a thing at first. I had to give it time before I could start actually detecting the scent of it but now there's no issues. The scent itself smells like a bittersweet fruity blackberry. It's so hard to describe but it smells so nostalgic coming from someone who never owned this growing up. Very signature scent worthy.

Many years later after the launch of Cloud, Love Notes, Mod, ect I still have the unpopular opinion that this is the best Ariana Grande fragrance. I'm not gonna pretend it's mature, but the powderiness of the marshmallow is cuddly in a very seductive way. The vanilla mixed with the whipped cream give it a lactonic twist. The blackberry adds fruitiness and it's so playful mixed with the marshmallow. I remember when I first tried this I thought yes, this is what I'm going for, and to this day I haven't found anything quite like it. It's so cute and innocent, not in the sense it has no sex appeal, but in the sense you'd wanna protect whoever is wearing it. Some days I almost smell a bready note to it. This is insanely sweet and gourmand; it's up there with Pink Sugar. If I get into a car with it people ask what I'm wearing so I guess that means it's noticeable. For me it lasts about 6 hours even on skin, but you may have better luck spraying it on clothes and hair because I think I'm in the minority. For years I've consistently seen reviews that this doesn't work for a lot of people's chemistry.

Delicious Fruits (berries) crystalized in sugar give this fragrance a fizzy opening to my nose, like champagne. The fizziness is soon lulled into the sweet comforting embrace of sweet florals and the fluffiness of marshmallow, whipped cream, and vanilla. This is my 3rd Ariana Grande Fragrance (I own both Cloud and Cloud Intense). One thing that I have noticed with all 3 fragrances is that I'll spray them, forget that I sprayed them, go about my day, and throughout my day I receive random compliments for smelling good. There are also instances when I'll be moving on the go and I'll catch delicious whiffs of this. I've sprayed this first thing in the morning and could still smell it on my clothes in the evening going into night. All in all, I am quite pleased with this fragrance and Ariana Grande fragrances in general. This is the first celebrity fragrance brand that I'm taking seriously. I can't wait to get my hands on Ari.

Before I even got this perfume. I knew I was gonna love it. From the reviews, design, scents notes, even the main accords other than the powdery accord! Sweet, but not too sweet. Soft, feminine, a great scent to lair perfumes with, long lasting, playful, immature, goes ALL YEAR ROUND. Goes well when it's hot a shit, cold as shit, rainy as shit, humid and shit. You can even wear this as a night perfume. Hell, you can use it as a bathroom spray when you get done taking a shit😭✌🏼 All I gotta say it that this perfume, is that girl. Edit: July 2026. I think the reason why it smells kinda different on me now is because the bottle might be expired, or the smell of my body chemistry has changed, maybe both. But it kinda smell like syrup on me now. Oh well, this and Yara Candy are still the best candy scents hands down, my opinion on it never changed. I probably just won't wear it, or I'll just get another bottle

This is the best celebrity fragrance I have tried so far. Why? Well I do Think it is a fragrance that is sweet in a way I like. As I said it is sweet, but not too sweet. Over all it is easy for me to wear. Very girly, cute and good both for day and night wear. Somehow I get a mental image in my head of ballerinas in pink tutus jumping on clouds of cream, marshmallows and cotton candy haha.But seriously tho, it is a nice mix of fruity/berry (Blackberry, pear and blackcurrant) notes, and gourmand notes (cream, marshmallow and vanilla). The bergamot gives a nice "sting" to the opening. Do not get much of the floral notes at all. Longevity is pretty good as well. 4-6h on my skin. The bottle is cute and very fitting for a fragrance like this. Over all a good buy for me. Great quality for the price.

something about ari and sweet like candy are both effortlessly pretty and easily lovable. sweet like candy is a good ol’ floral fruity marshmallow scent. this is not groundbreaking, but still great for anyone who wants a simple and sweet perfume they can wear anytime. i get compliments on this one a lot, in fact it’s my most complimented ariana perfume! crowd pleaser :) longevity is good for me! it lasts for most of an 8 hour work day. it doesn’t project very far unless you overspray and you won’t offend anyone if you do. i think it’s too soft and fluffy smelling to bother others unless they’re extremely sensitive to smells. ari: sparkly, rose, juicy, sweet red berries. sweet like candy: creamy, vanilla, fluffy, tart dark berries. both have that signature AG marshmallow!

For some reason the perfume smells way better than the body mist to me. I think the sour smell is less noticeable and the scent overall feels smoother. The notes I smell the most are blackberry, marshmallow, and whipped cream. As it dries down, it becomes even better. It turns into this creamy, marshmallowy, super sweet scent that I love. It lasts a whole day on clothes and even longer on skin, which is honestly amazing for the price. The projection is great too, I get sweet little whiffs whenever I move. And of course, the bottle is gorgeous. If you’re wondering whether it actually smells like candy, yes, it does. I really love this perfume!! 🧁🎀🍭

this perfume is my favourite perfume ever. i wear this everyday and it has become my signature scent. sweet like candy comes off obviously, as a super sweet and creamy perfume, however i feel like it is not incredibly overly sugary candy headachy syrupy sweet, with berry notes balancing out the perfume! it doesnt quite fit in with scents like sweet tooth by sabrina carpenter and boujee marshmallow by kayali, with its unique bergamont to add freshness. this perfume lasts amazing on my skin and i always get compliments when i wear. this is definitley the best out of all her fragrances and so so worth it! ♡

Wonderful! It's a very well-balanced perfume, somewhere between sweet and creamy, fruity and fresh. I must say that, so far, from my old collection of gourmand perfumes, it's the only one that has survived. I find it perfect for any weather. On my skin, in the heat, it tends to become sweeter than it actually is; however, it retains its fresh blackberry note. It's excellent for reapplying without being bothersome. Now, if you're looking for a perfume with enormous projection, this isn't for you. I love that it's not cloying; it's simply delicious. My mouth waters when I wear it.

OBSESSED! This smells like marshmallow berry vanilla cupcake. But, for me I can still smell the floral notes which balances it all out. When you spray it it can be overwhelming very sweet and strong but, when it sets it smells like a warm marshmallow. I can still smell it on my clothes DAYS later. I would say on the skin it lasts around 5-6 hours. Not too bad, I disgaree with this being "juvenile" there is no such thing. Wear what YOU WANT. This has become my new favorite and has potential to become my signature scent. HIGHLY RECCOMEND. It was a blind buy and I am happy I did :)

This is my personal favorite from Ariana’s line of fragrance. My sister has thank u next, cloud, and rem. Out of those three, cloud reigns supreme followed by thank u next. REM does not stand out as much as her other scents but still pretty. Sweet like candy is just the perfect everyday scent for me when I wanna feel cute and feminine. I read a lot about Arianas perfumes and how they are for children which I think is just a low blow to her image. I don’t think any scent should have an age attached to it. If you wanna smell sweet like candy at 95 you are more than welcome to.

I am confused that I like this. I usually don't love the "youthful" smelling frags. The mid notes are much stronger than the opening. Flowers, fresh fruits, and sugar. The latonic vibe is super nice. I fully expected Ariana Grande to have really basic one note perfume, but this guy actually changes over time. I love the bottle and the pompom is not too much. 12 mins into spraying on skin is the perfect zone for me - It smells like a strawberry latte with whipped cream and extra sugar on top.

As a 54 year old perfume collector and I am admitting I love to wear. I don’t, however, wear it out of the house as that is what my niche frags are for. I find this to be all season. But I love this scent so much. I think it’s sweet and cozy without being cloying. My husband (also 54) says it smells delicious and that it is adorable on me lol. My son (age20) also likes it but agrees it smells very youthful. Men are simple beings, they rarely compliment my expensive complex niches.

Я с удовольствием им пользуюсь, хотя мне 51 год. Услышала его на своей знакомой год назад и заказала. Но в этом году он мне нравится еще больше. Цена удивительно низкая. Хотелось бы знать, кто создатель этого парфюма, потому что это прекрасная работа. Захотелось даже попробовать другие ароматы этой марки.

A cheapie comparisons to the scent of beyond romance by Ralph Lauren, which I will never repurchase that perfume. Ralph Lauren’s smells very similar to this however I’ve had farts last longer than that perfume. This on the other hand lasts much longer especially on clothing. I got this for $35 for a 3.4 oz and prefer this over beyond romance. You can’t go wrong with this. It’s an easy inoffensive reach. I’m 34 and don’t find it to be juvenile at all.

I've only tested this in a shop once so this isn't really a thorough review but Sweet Like Candy smells absolutely heavenly. I was so taken aback by this, I immediately got hit with a delicious creamy cotton candy (despite it not being a listed note) along with soft marshmallow and a subtle fruitiness. I genuinely couldn't stop smelling it on my wrist. Definitely need to get this in the future or try see if the body mist is accurate to the EDP

When it comes to celebrity perfumes for me, I don't care about the brand itself or the bottle, just the scent. "Sweet Like Candy" is delicious. True to it's name, Ariana's 3rd fragrance is precisely sweet like candy. There is nothing I can fault about this scent because the warning is already there that this perfume is absolutely SWEET! I love it, inoffensive, easy to wear and AMAZING on a pillowcase!
