Odyssey Spectra

I've got sufficient enough a collection, now, that I could, if I wanted, wear a different fragrance to work, every evening. At one point, I actually was doing that, prided myself that I could flex like that. But, it turned into more of a hassle than it was worth, trying to remember what I wore most recently, and, not be redundant. So, eventually, I settled into selecting a fragrance for the week. This week's big winner was, obviously, Odyssey Spectra Rainbow. I knew that it smelled decently good. I trust my own judgement, at least that much. But, every now & then, it's nice to receive some affirmation from unexpected sources, too. So, I work Security at a condo-building, where a lot of fairly-wealthy, retirement-aged individuals reside. There's one guy, a high-dollar attorney, who took me up & showed me his Tom Ford collection -- huge bottles, some of them discontinued, owns just about every one of them -- who's now beginning to expand into the brand, Initio. I mention him, just to illustrate that, even though, I know that I'm smelling quite well, I'm well aware that these aren't the folks that I'm gonna be impressing with my dupes, quite so much...not when they, more than likely, own the expensive OG, if it's something that they're impressed with. Long story short: last night, one of the most attractive, classy women there had been out, had a couple of beverages, was feeling quite talkative, friendly. During the course of our talking, she just blurted out, "why do you always smell so good?" She's the type of woman that you would most desire to have taken notice of you, for any reason whatsoever, but, that it was partially because of the fragrance I was wearing, and, that fragrance happened to be Odyssey Spectra Rainbow, well,...I'M SHOUTING IT OUT!

One spray and you'll instantly recognize this is a play on JPG's runaway hit Ultra Male and Afnan's equally successful clone 9 PM and even Lattafa's Ramz Silver, though it does actually do a good job distinguishing itself. This is a great blend of sweet, spicy, vanilla, amber, fruity, floral, tobacco, powdery and musky aromas. You'll find prominent notes of apple, vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco, lavender and fresh patchouli musk. The final product performs very well and younger male users who are gourmand lovers will love this. Older users who dislike sweet fragrances should avoid. Recommended unless you already own Ultra Male or 9 PM or Ramz Silver, in which case it might feel redundant.

I always macerate my fragrances upon arrival -- give 'em a couple spritzes, then, hopefully, have the will-power to sit it down for a month or so, see what it's like afterward. So, this was my first time wearing Odyssey Spectra out anywhere, since I received it, little over a month ago. Now, mind you, I do trust my nose, as far as it giving me a general idea about the scent I'm wearing, and, after spraying it on, I was relatively certain that I was wearing something quite nice, indeed. Skip ahead...I'm at the store shopping, going up & down the aisles, like one does. I passed this one woman, and, as I was about to turn to the next aisle, she turned around and said, "Sir, I'm sorry, but, I just HAVE TO know what that is you're wearing. It is SO good!" She explained that her son is "into colognes", and, that she just was gonna HAVE TO purchase it for him. So, I'm not one of those people who's going to throw that out there, like, "oh, it's a compliment BEAST", or, any propaganda like that, but, reality is what it is, and, in my estimation, both your nose AND those who come in contact with you will feel as though your effort at presenting yourself in your best light has been pleasantly successful.

This smells beautiful. Words cannot describe how great this smells. It has this sweet vanilla paired up with the warm cinammon and the citrusy bergamot at the start and dries to this beautiful tonka bean and hint of amber and tobacco while the vanilla is still very much prominent. I cant believe Im saying this but it genuinely smells better than the original JPG ultramale. It is long lasting 8hrs+ with strong projection. I feel this can be worn all year round but Im not sure about hot summer days. Definitely a great date scent, I am sure the ladies will dig this. I would rate this a 9.5/10. This is the best perfume in my collection so far.

It's JPG Ultra Male... Without being rude I have no idea what some noses are on here to say this is nothing like Ultra Male. They are almost identical, just like Afnan 9PM, Ramz Silver. I have all four and they all respresent the same scent, sweet bubblegum. Not much else to say, really. This is just another Ultra Male in a different bottle. No reason to own all 4 if you have them. I got this one because I was expecting maybe similar to Ultra Male with a twist because of the Warm Spicy, Cinammon, Vanilla, Lavender leading accords but nope, it's the same

Performance is impressive to say the least. The smell seems slightly synthetic opening but quickly balances out. I'd never smelled Ultra Male before, and bought this blind. My friend wore Ultra Male recently and it smells close enough for me to be able to guess what it was, that tells me all I need to know about Spectra. 1/4 of the price for far better value and the scent is certainly close enough if you're buying it for what it's inspired by.

Gosh i just LOVE THIS,really sweet spicy vanillish scent,bought this as a blind buy and can def say its amazing,Opening is this spicy sweet citrusy smell but as it dries down u can smell the vanilla in there.Beautiful smell,ABSOLUTELY Blind buy safe imo.However,it kinda lasts around 3-6 hours,def long lasting on the clothes but yeah.Sillage is okay tbh. Overall,Blind buy safe and smells amazing!

Blind bought and got this yesterday, sprayed the back of my left hand and WOW! It's powerful and it was still going a good 9 hours later. I don't know how Armaf manage to produce such high quality juice for the price, but please don't stop. This is a banger!

To my nose, this is the best of the Ultra Male type fragrances, especially in the drydown where it's a bit spicier and richer. Perhaps it's the substitution of apple for the usual pear. Performance is excellent. I think this can be worn by anyone, anytime.

90% ultra male, 10% spicebomb extreme. It is almost the same as ultramale except the prominent cinnamon note which is identical as in spicebomb. Last long, good projection, good value.

Honestly another bang for your buck from Armaf. This is in no way cheap feeling. Makes you wonder about the mark-up these other brands push.

I blind bought this together with some other armaf frags from the odyssey line. All of them have the same thermos look 60ml bottles with different colours. So how do I feel about this one? Well, it's supposed to be a take on JPG Ultra male if I'm not misstanken. I also have the Afnan 9PM version which I think is a better and stronger take on the OG. This one smells similar but more playful I guess. I couldn't tell you how close it is to the OG which is the same case with A9PM. Besides , giving you a comparison is only based on personal experience which makes it a subjective matter. In conclusion: It's ok , very youthful and playful compared to A9PM which is stronger , longer lasting and a bit more serious. They are very similar and perhaps hard to tell apart of you just caught a whiff of them but up close and personal A9PM somehow feels higher quality in my very humble opinion. Many reviewers disagree but as I said , it's my personal beginners opinion. Still , it's ok.

What a wild ride this one takes you on. Firstly, it's an absolute cinnamon bomb the first 5 minutes. Not harsh cinnamon, but super powdery and potent, not unpleasant. It then settles down and that pitchuli start to shine through with that floral backend. It seemed to be really good for about 4 hours. Then it kinda .. disappeared for about an hour, only to reemerge with all the elements perfectly blended into a delicious gourmand-ish fragrance for another 3 hours or so. Like everything just came to life for a this amazing finale like at a July 4th fireworks show. This is a very dry tobacco, cinnamon/nutmeg scent. Highly recommended for the value. Edit: this stuff lasts ...applied at 615am, it's now 545pm and I can still smell it. Powerhouse. Edit 2: I am not sure where people are getting Ultra Male from, but this is not like it at all.

🤔 I wasn't sure about it but then saw my husband smile! 😮 IT'S A TOTAL WIN! My first impression was weirdly good cleaning chemical with a pleasant vanilla sweetness but then it morphs into a sweeter more fruity scent, then changes again depending on the other scents in the air. 😋 The sweetness is deceptively rich, layered over a 90s CK One vibe, an Acqua di Gio breeze with a NETTE The Vanille, spicy note. It's lovely! It's complex and it's unique. I appreciate this formulation very much. 🥰👍 9.5/10 👈 Spectacular❗

very sweet, opening is somewhat reminiscent of diesel's only the brave tattoo (mostly due to the tobacco and cinnamon notes scrambling to find their footing), this develops into a cozy but racy vanilla with fruits and slightly settles down into something warmer and spicier, but definitely not what i was expecting, although thats likely due to this being one of the more modern scents in my collection. Performance isnt great though, unfortunately, decent longevity but very intimate sillage.

I have tried a few other versions of ultra male, this one is my favorite of them. I get the cinnamon, apple, vanilla, and lavender. for whatever reason it sort of reminds me of banana candy. it performs and projects well.

Smells good but the performance is ass.

This is really mid. Not in a bad way...? It’s mass appealing, and not special feeling. Generally kind of synthetic with all the notes mushed together. But it’s very, very mundane. Smells like a Macy's. Not my preference. Probably great for someone under 30 and looking for a signature fragrance that isn’t Sauvage. The 4.42 rating isn’t deserved IMO.

Spicy, sweet, vanilla scent. Definitely a masculine scent giving me Rabanne Phantom vibes. Nothing really groundbreaking though. Still like the bottle and worth the price.

Tried this, This actually smells like Ultra Male / Afnan 9 Pm. Sweet Cinnamon Bomb with a hint of fruity vanilla.
