Tres Nuit

CONTEXT: 65yo professional gentleman with the mature, old-school tastes one would expect from a man my age. These are just one man's humble opinions. Your mileage may vary with taste and age. Armaf Tres Nuit Introduction: TN started out as an easy reach for warmer weather. However, it's mid-November now and I'm still rockin' it as I brush the snow from my car! Despite the seasonal votes near the top of the page, TN performs strongly for me in cold weather. I will continue pushing the seasonal boundaries of this as far as I can, both day and evening. I like it so very much that I've got a bottle of it's inspiration—Creed GIT on order, along with a similar frag by the same nose that created GIT—Davidoff Cool Water, and another clone—Al Haramain Amber Oud Carbon. When they all get here and I've had an opportunity to compare them all, I'll do so in the GIT review. TN right from the box was gorgeous, albeit slightly rough in the opening, but after owning it a few months it has matured and stabilized marvelously. I performed this test at home, in quiet solitude, and was really paying close attention to how this fragrance unfolds. TN develops so naturally and seamlessly that when I'm out and about, or have other competing stimuli, I am scarcely aware of the details related below, just the exquisite overall experience. As I was writing this, the description sort of organically developed into a ballroom metaphor, so I ran with it. Opening: The citrus guests arrive early as the orchestra tunes up and begins to play. The lavender and violet florals arrive on their heels and the dance begins quietly, with a little bit of citrus sparkle. Then it just keeps getting better as more guests arrive. Drydown: In about 20 minutes a troop of iris appear and the citruses fade some, but not completely. They sit down around the perimeter to watch and chat softly but do not leave. The iris check their cloaks, powder their noses and join the dance of the flowers that the violet and lavender are still doing, making it more complex and interesting. After about 90 minutes the citrus have finished their drinks, collect their wraps and vanish quietly. Meanwhile, the ambergris and sandalwood have entered the room, subtly but powerfully. These new guests don't dominate the dance, but their presence strengthens and renews the efforts of the others. The ballroom becomes darker and warmer, and the tempo and intensity of the dance slowly increases. The ballet gradually becomes more complex and more sensual, all the while with reserve and control. After about three hours the tempo and intensity have reached their apex and begin to subside. One by one the dancers leave the room, slowly and unobtrusively. At about six hours all the guests have gone, the orchestra packs up, and all that remains is a beautiful memory in the form of a skin scent. If you want the dance to last all night... carry a travel spray and apply some more at about 3-4 hours. Gender: Again, I'm older and often consider floral fragrances to be feminine. Tres Nuit? Au contraire! Perfumery and alchemy are both occult practices IMO. I don't understand how Armaf took a boatload of iris, lavender, and violet and created something unmistakably masculine from them. It's not too sweet, and it ain't girlie at all. Tres Nuit a masterpiece of perfumery. Kudos to Armaf on this one. Bottom Line: Scent:--------10/10 Longevity:-----7/10 Sillage:---------9/10 Value:---------10/10 Edit: Comparison to GIT Although Tres Nuit is a pretty good clone of GIT, and they do share many characteristics, I find them a little different. GIT is sharper and has more sparkle in the opening, while TN is smoother. In the drydown Tres Nuit evolves into something more deeply smooth, powdery and floral than the ozonic/aquatic direction that GIT takes. The iris, violet and lavender notes of TN lead you down a darker garden path than the trail through a green sunlit meadow bordering the forest and ocean that GIT will take you. Both of these fragrances are absolutely exquisite in their own way, but if I had to make a choice between the two... I'd wear the Armaf Tres Nuit. Better yet, since I have both, I'll wear GIT in the morning and the TN in the evening.

****ATTENTION**** Read this if you are planning to purchase Tres Nuit..... I've been posting fragrance reviews and commentary on Fragrantica for over 8 years, and didn't want to have to post this---as I intentionally try NOT to post "negative" commentary for any fragrance, and rarely have. But after lengthy consideration, I thought it was warranted for the benefit of those in the community presently considering the purchase of Tres Nuit (TN): I absolutely LOVE TN and have been wearing it quite regularly during spring and summer for about 4 years now. I also have a very positive and extensive review of TN on this thread. That said, this past December 2025 I needed to purchase my 4th bottle of TN and did so. My previous 3 bottles smelled expectedly amazing with no issues. (During 2025 there had been more than a few posts here indicating that this fragrance smelled like "bug spray" (from first spray) which frankly perturbed me because I had always thought similar statements on Fragrantica were just dramatic and highly overstated). That was until I received mine, and it smelled JUST LIKE bug spray. (So much so that I LITERALLY almost vomited when I took my first full breath of it upon application). At that point I was going to make a similar post as this, but decided to wait and let the composition "mature", to see what happened..... After a month it was not much better, so I ordered yet another bottle of TN from another large and HIGHLY TRUSTED online fragrance company in the U.S. .....only to receive "bug spray" once again. (fyi--BOTH batches are relatively "fresh" and produced in late 2024). Fast forward to now, with the first bottle being initially sprayed and then sat for about 3 months..... The fragrance has progressed to smell about 90%+ of what it normally "should" smell like and of "typical" performance, with about another month (estimated) when it will likely be 100% of what it "should be". The second bottle is also "progressing" similarly......I'm sorry for the news, but I just thought those seriously considering a purchase of TN should know what to potentially expect and how to remedy the situation if it happened to them ..... (It would be nice if Armaf was somehow made aware of this unfortunate issue. My assumption/ theory is that Armaf needs to mature TN longer in their production facilities, PRIOR TO bottling and distribution .....rather than apparently rushing bottles prematurely to market).

Armaf Tres Nuit is an intriguing scent that captivates right from the opening. The initial blast of lavender and lemongrass quickly sets the tone, but it's the underlying animalistic characteristics that truly capture the essence of this fragrance. It brings to mind a walk in the forest — earthy, natural, and deeply comforting. The first impression leaves you curious for what's next, as if setting you up for an aromatic journey. One of its most commendable features is its rich, musky ambergris, which adds a luxurious depth to the scent profile. While there's a woody base, it's the ambergris that takes center stage, making the fragrance seem far more premium than one might expect from its price point. In fact, it doesn't smell cheap at all; instead, it exudes a natural and high-quality aura. This adds an additional layer of richness, almost as if the fragrance has multiple dimensions that unfold with time. As for the florals, the prominent iris and violet offer a sophisticated touch, further elevating the scent. Interestingly, despite these floral notes, the fragrance strikes me as distinctly animalistic, a characteristic often overlooked in others' reviews but undeniable in my experience. These notes harmonize to create a unique blend. Performance-wise, Tres Nuit doesn't disappoint. It offers strong sillage, especially impressive for a summer scent. The longevity is also commendable, ensuring that the fragrance stays with you for an extended period. The performance is solid enough to last through various activities, meaning you don't have to worry about reapplying too often. Overall, Armaf Tres Nuit stands as a solid choice for those looking for a complex yet accessible fragrance. It performs well, smells luxurious, and offers a rich olfactory experience that's surprisingly natural and deeply evocative. The complexity and versatility make it well-suited for various occasions, not just confined to casual wear. Armaf Le Parfait Pour Homme serves as a near 1:1 copy, so much so that I felt compelled to sell it. While it bears some similarities to Rasasi Egra Men, the distinctions are notable enough to warrant keeping it in the collection, or considering it for a future purchase. Opening note: 8 Sillage/Projection: 8 Dry down: 8+ Longevity: 8 Blend/Composition: 9 Versatility: 7+ Uniqueness: 6 Value for money: 9 Bottle design/Aesthetics: 6+ Overall experience: 8 Blind-buy rating: 6+

Anyone searching for the BEST alternative to GIT should try Tres Nuit first! Because there is simply nothing better...... It all started with my obsession of Creed's Green Irish Tweed from 2000 to 2015 when I really couldn't afford it. Yet I spent enough on small decants during that time that I probably should have initially just bought a bottle anyway! Over the next 7 years or so I subsequently tried all but one of the top-voted fragrances under "This fragrance reminds me of.....(GIT)" on GIT's fragrance page--(the exception being Al Haramain's Carbon Ed.).....until I firmly settled on TN. What I would highly recommend most do before trying TN, would be to visit a local department store and ACTUALLY spray/test GIT on your skin. Why? Because GIT is not "the same" sparkly/dewy and notably outstanding composition that it once was. It's not that it's no longer good (because it is), it's just not nearly as exceptional as it used to be (or as people "remember") ..... after 5-generation Creed was sold to an investment banking firm and notoriously began altering their fragrances, performance, etc. Smelling GIT will then give you a realistic baseline in which to judge. That said, as most are aware Tres Nuit is not a 95-100% "clone" of GIT, but it is a VERY exceptional and admirably close "twist" on today's GIT (generally adding a light creamy-citrusy amber, and soft-spicy quality; while being less green and ozonic than GIT).....yet comparatively closer/better than ANY of the other competing alternatives on the market today. Sadly, my personal view is that Tres Nuit will NEVER get the "ratings" that it truly deserves. (ie. presently with a respectable 4.13 out of 5 rating). Why? Because for twelve years now it's inevitably "down-voted" by most GIT wearers or fanbase, AND buyers of the numerous noted alternatives to GIT. But DON'T miss out on TN because of any of these "negative" reviews..... Try it yourself. You'll be glad you did! (The reason I wrote this post is that I've been into men's fragrance for over 30 years and TN is BY FAR the biggest LOVE I've EVER experienced for a fragrance priced at LESS than $25! And mainly because of my extreme appreciation of GIT.) So if you cherish GIT aside from its $250+ price tag, like me-- look forward to being overjoyed (with a smile) each and every time you spray on Tres Nuit!

For some reason, I expected this to smell like Cool Water. However, it's eerily similar to Michael Malul's Heartland, which MIGHT be discontinued, but doesn't have the longevity or push the Heartland has. Being a fan of violet is a must. 7/7/2025: I'm in the middle of my first wear in the wild and it's an excellent scent for what it does. I also might be at an advantage to enjoy this as I have not smelled the OG GIT. I just have 3 other fragrances that has it's DNA: Cool Water, Heartland, and now this. The Heartland is way more expensive than CW and TN...I just happened to have gotten a very good deal at half it's price several years ago. CW is a much more aquatic presentation to this DNA. Tres Nuit is much more interesting than CW to my nose and is what I like best out of these. This has a good dose of lemon verbena and violet. Very powdery. The drydown has more musk off my skin. I get the smell of green, purple, and a hint of blue when I smell this. This is much more appropriate for everyday wear than Heartland. This last longer than CW, although I think the sillage on CW is slightly better. I sprayed this at 6am and it's just past 3pm, I can still smell this clearly without having to shove my arm into my nose. Now, my skin does hold fragrances pretty well in general. For the first wear in the wild, this has performed very good. First impressions, two thumbs up. Will leave full review once this has sat for a few weeks (if I allow it to sit that long lol). 7/18/2025: Just an excellent fragrance for what it is! This has had no problem lasting more than a workday, so 9+ hours off my skin, with projection being good for about 2.5 hours. I always like to make the disclaimer that fragrances do tend to last a bit longer than norm off me, so parse what you need with that. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, this is an amazing smelling fragrance for my tastes. Several unsolicited compliments. Big fan of the violet and lemon (verbena) tandem. Should have gotten this sooner! Projection: 9 Longevity: 9 Scent: 10 Price: 10 Overall: 9.5

So when Id first gotten my bottle of Tres Nuit, I hadn't yet smelled Green Irish Tweed, but I had tried Cool Water. I must admit that when I'd first sprayed Tres Nuit on myself, I was VERY dissapointed bc it immediately reminded me of Cool Water. Now, thats NOT to say that I dislike Cool Water, it's just that it's (one of) my brothers signature scents, and I HATE smelling of someone who's close to me signature is all. Anyhow, I did a side by side comparison between Tres Nuit and Cool Water and to my surprise, YES! The heart/dna is very similar, but they actually wear very, VERY differently! Cool water is much more powdery/fresh/musky, while Tres Nuit is just ultra clean/brisk/crisp. Also, Tres Nuit's performance is WAYYY better than Cool Water's is (7-8 hr's on skin, next day on clothes), and I find that Cool Water is much more "linear", whereas Tres Nuit def evolves on my skin. I've been getting into Lattafa a lot lately, but I must admit, that Armaf's quality/sillage/performance has Lattafa's beat in my humble opinion. Tres Nuit is one of those "Rare Frags" which honestly makes my eyes roll in back of my head whenever I take a good whiff wherever it is I'd sprayed. It's really intoxicating to me which I was NOT at all expected. Again, the performance is great (especially for a freshie), and I've gotten SO MANY compliments when I've worn it to work which is a huge bonus imo. Sometimes, I feel that wearing a "tired dna" is sorta "tacky" especially considering that I own close to 70 frags, but then I spray some on me and I remember how freakin' great is smells, and I just dont care! This dna is still being used/copied for a VERY good reason. This classic beauty is a 9 outta 10 in my book and I truley recommend getting Tres Nuit over Cool Water any day! Plus it's much more affordable! Thanks to whomever took the time to read my 2 cents on Tres Nuit!

So, Idk WTH people on here mean by "Repugnant" or "Cheap Smelling", but Tres Nuit is honestly ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I purchased my bottle a little over a year ago, so it may be that folks just need to let their bottle "macerate" a bit (Highly recommended), or there's a quality control issue over at Armaf where the batches vary greatly nowadays? Idk, but when I smell Tres Nuit up close to wherever it is that Id sprayed it, like my eyes roll in back of my head it smells so nice! Admittedly, I was NOT familiar with Creed's Green Irish Tweed when Id purchased Tres Nuit, but I was very familiar with Davidoff's Cool Water, and I must admit that when Id first recieved Tres Nuit I was pretty Dissapointed bc I wasn't aware of how.similar the dna's are, and the fact that Cool Water is one of my brother's signature Scents, made it harder for me to wear. Well, one day I grabbed my brother's CW and my Tres Nuit to do a side by side comparison and they are actually quite different. Tres Nuit is much soapier, cleaner, sharper and more green, where as Cool Water is way more powdery, fresher and more aquatic. Also, Tres Nuit really just blows CW out the water when it comes to performance, and I like Tres Nuit way more than CW. One of the first times id worn it to work people several feet away from me would compliment me even upto 6 hours after id applied it, so I feel id over done the sprays, therefore I feel that less is more with Tres Nuit bc it really does project pretty far and last a good 7 to 8 hrs on skin, plus an over-dose of a classic men's fragrance just may not appeal to everyone around you. Tres Nuit is just a gorgeous, masculine, classic 8 outta 10 interpretation of GIT, and a MUST for any collector, ESPECIALLY if your into more "classic dna's"! In looking for an everyday inexpensive replacement for Green Irish Tweed, Tres Nuit is the most recommended so it was worth a try. It does open with a lemon candy blast, but the "cut grass" note is still there, just overpowered a bit. As the lemon fades, the candy sweetness doesn't and sticks around a bit. But the florals come forward and the GIT similarities come out. It's way closer to GIT than Cool Water, which I don't think is close at all. As it drys down further, the GIT similarities get close to 90+%. I just wish they'd dial back the lemon sweetness. The other notes are all there. The sweetness does make it a bit more modern and younger, and I did get immediate compliments from it which I'm sure the sweetness contributes to. I'd compare GIT and Tres Nuit as the same movie, but GIT is in 4K and TN is DVD. Both provide you with the same experience, but one just pops more and is so much more smooth, sharp, colorful, and expansive. The first time I wore TN, I wasn't impressed. A bit sweet for my tastes. The second time wearing it the shock of expectations wasn't there and I really enjoy it. It fulfills my needs. I know early on TN came as an EDT and then some got boxes with EDP but the bottles still said EDT. My bottle is from 04/23 and both say EDP now. And the performance was really good, especially for colder weather. Got a full workday out of it sprayed on skin and people and I still noticed it. It's a really nice scent regardless of any comparisons to another scent. I will likely buy another bottle when this one empties, but I do hope they reformulate with a smidge less lemon. PS: I did notice the bottle had a strong smell of contact cement that was likely used to glue the pleather band to the bottle. I wonder if that could be why some get a chemical smell when they first use it.

I don't care if it's close to GIT or not, it's amazing. It was my blind buy, because with this price, why not? I thought that at worst I'd use it as a gym/workout enhancing smell, maybe some refresher for the laundry and at best I'd take it as inoffensive "blue" scent alternative for the office work, but it still exceeded my expectations by a lot. It's a mature, elegant, sexy and a masculine scent that will elevate you in any situation. It may invoke some initial impressions that remind you of your grandma, but it has some serious masculine energy behind it. It's dark, it's musky, it's powdery and it's creamy. I'd not call it a feminine smell - it has some good vintage resemblance in it. Give it a few wears. It really grows on you. If you're a confident guy that has no need to explain himself you'll wear it with no difficulty. It's dry with some subtle flowery sweetness, it's all blue-purple flowers and sandalwood... but it's so damn smooth and screams confidence. I love it. Yes, it's flowery, it's soapy, it's fresh but it retains a somewhat dark presence and it's really masculine. Extremely captivating. I find myself sniffing my arm every 5 min despite having it for more than a month already. It's intoxicating, it draws attention, it may sound far stretched and oversold but to my surprise it indeed pulls compliments from girls. I really mean it. Even if you won't initially like how flowery it is people will positively notice you much more, and with the passing time you'll absolutely learn to love this fragrance. 8/10 and I'm not really the person to give out 8's so easily.

I just want to say that this lived up to the hype for me personally. This was one of my most anticipated purchases, because I love Green Irish Tweed and if this could be close, I would be more than happy. Wow, is it ever close. Not sure if there is another fragrance that is so closely matching to another. It doesn't smell generic at all, and it lasted a good 4-5 hours on bare skin. It's easily one of my favorite scents and I honestly don't feel the need to purchase GiT because of it. But,....what's a collection without it right? The opening scent is a very nice, slightly citrus, clean green scent, and you can also catch the violet in it as well. From there, at least for me, the green never really went away, but a little woods and some lavender showed up to compliment it. The staying power isn't the best, and the projection isn't the strongest, but my son who smelled it on me, thought it smelled really good. I'll update as I continue to explore using it. All in all, I say get it if you're on the fence, it's cheap and it's a lot better than most designer sprays. The bottle is a bit awkward to hold, but as others have said,it is very well put together and nice looking. The sprayer is not bad either, not elite, but not bad. 9/10 for me, because I love the scent so much, but I take a point off because the projection and sillage isn't all that great. Still a very good fragrance that deserves more attention. LOVE YOU NAB

Really refreshing warm-weather scent. LEEEMOOON BOOOOMB! The lemon verbena, and lemon are main players here, but the violet, and lavender settle these two high energy scents down a bit. The iris only pokes its head out in the dry down when the sandalwood and ambergris join the fragrant gathering. When I smell this, I get very nostalgic flashbacks to high school when Aspen was just being released as a popular fragrance. Tres Nuit is like an updated take on Aspen to me. It has a bit more richness than Aspen, and the touch of floral in Tres Nuit makes this fragrance a bit less biting to smell than Aspen was. I love Tres Nuit. When I wear it, I just can't help but smile and hear the distant sound of Greenday's "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)". Update: This perfume LASTS!!! I sprayed this on my wrist for my first try of it, and in the process some of it got on the sleeve of my hoodie. 2 days later, when I move my arm around, I keep getting wafts of this perfume from the sleeve of my hoodie. At this point the lemon verbena is almost gone, but slightly present... the main players right now are the violet, iris, and ambergris, making it this smooth, almost creamy sweet floral scent with just a touch of citrus.... BEAUTIFUL... and this 2 DAYS LATER, after spraying!!! To anyone saying this perfume does not perform... I don't know what to say, because this perfume has STAYING POWER!

Right... so this one time, I'm in the kitchen making a brew and I spot this bottle on the side – Tres Nuit by Armaf. Fresh. Green. Citrusy with that lavender edge. Smells like a posh garden after rain. Proper clean and sophisticated. Like you've got your life together. I start wearing it. Feeling good. Then one day I'm in a meeting with the Swindon lot and Finchy pipes up, 'Alright David, new aftershave?' Turns out he'd been nicking sprays from the bottle I left in the communal area. The little parasite. Couple weeks later we're at the team-building day – paintballing, trust falls, the lot. I'm in the real Tres Nuit, smelling fresh as a daisy. Finchy turns up reeking of it. Later on I hear from one of the girls in sales that they 'had a moment' behind the Portaloos. Proper romantic, apparently. Meanwhile I'm stuck doing the trust fall with Gareth, who spends the whole afternoon going on about his fantasy football team. Some woman from accounts sees us two lads having a laugh and gives us that sideways look like 'Ooh, are they...?' For crying out loud. The fragrance? Cracking. Fresh, versatile, great value. Nine out of ten. But next time I bring scent into the office, I'm keeping it in my locked drawer.

#363 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This scent has aspects of Creed's Green Irish Tweed, but much sweeter, more ambery. Similarities to Davidoff Cool Water, Aspen, even a touch of the animalic aspects of Memo Paris Irish Leather, you catch them all for roughly ten minutes of a really boffo character in the opening. It's labeled as an EDP, but performs like an Eau de Toilette that really doesn't perform more than a couple of hours. I'd would say the same of ten of the twenty Armaf EDPs I've evaluated thus far. When you're talking about a scent this good for under $30, I kind of feel like no one should care about whether this is an exact clone of anything or if it needs a respray at lunch. If there was no Green Irish Tweed ever and you encountered this scent for the first time, you wouldn't believe your luck. You'd be like, "This is only $25? Are you kidding me?" SO, niggling aside, this is a damn fine scent for the money, though I'd like actual EDP potency. It's funny that on Amazon it's sold as an EDP in the product title, but you read the product description and it says "Concentration: eau_de_toilette." And that's the truth.

I went through 4 bottles of this about 6 years ago. 1) - To say I really liked it would be a significant understatement. 2 - ) It doesn’t last. I constantly re-sprayed (and thus 4 bottles in 1 1/2 years). 3) - It is very different and unique compared to other men’s fragrances today. It isn’t as sweet, it isn’t a citrus ocean type and it doesn’t have the pungent amber note of Sauvage. It opens with green, herbal, leather and fresh air notes. It is more like a vintage herbal fragrance that has been expertly updated to the 21st century. Leather is not listed as a note, but to me, it is as strong as it’s green and herbal notes. As it dries down, the leather subsides a bit and pleasant soft floral notes ermerge. It is different from the mainstream fragrances today, so I’m guessing that some may find it odd or strange, but loved it. I don’t think it is close to being a clone of Green Irish Tweed. I have GIT and the only thing they have in common is their green herbal notes. If that is what you’re looking for, look at L’Aventure Knight (which I also have). It is as good a clone as you can get and it is a bit stronger.

This fragrance is lovely, and definetly not what I'd lean towards normally. I was sniffing samples in Vegas at the mall, getting lost in numerous test strips, but this one stood out despite its soft nature. I typically prefer heavy, sharp-edged scents like danh al oud. I welcome the barnyard funk, and cannabis type of notes as well. This one is on the other side of the spectrum. Very soothing, soft, and relaxing. I absolutely love the florals in this, as its very captivating and refreshing to my nose (especially during the spring). It smells like nothing else in my collection, and I also think the bottle is extremely cool; super quirky. I love leather, and for some reason this oddly shaped bottle is wrapped in it. I see ambergris as a big base note, but I still can't clearly describe what it even smells like lol. Overall, after wearing it for about a month, I love that this is more than just a floral powdery scent. It's somehow very soft, and still masculine which is amazing. Very work friendly, and it cannot offend anyone in my opinion.

My bottle seems to get better with time. I've had it for two years and I swear it's better now than when I bought it. I went to Neiman Marcus this week and sprayed GIT all over my arm. When I got home I sprayed Tres Nuit to compare and I would say the drydowns are extremely close. Tres Nuit actually lasted way longer than the Creed. The main difference between the two is that GIT has an earthy, realistic fabric smell (tweed) that Tres Nuit doesn't. TN seems to also be much brighter while GIT is more subdued. For the price here you just can't go wrong. The performance of the GIT sucked so bad that I would never pay more than $100 for it. It was completely gone in a few hours while the TN hung around for 5 hours. It definitely has a laundry vibe to me. It smells more like laundry detergent than fabric softener and I understand why it's not for everyone but for me it works well when I want to just smell fresh and clean.

Revisiting this one many years after first stumbling upon Armaf, at the very beginning of the clone craze pre-COVID. Back then Middle Eastern clone houses weren't nearly as popular as they are today; you had Armaf, Rasasi, Al Haramain, and that was pretty much it, and oftentimes you'd have to pay crazy prices to get their fragrances shipped internationally. I go back and forth on which is the better clone of Green Irish Tweed - this, or Rasasi Egra. To me, Tres Nuit is a little denser and a little sweeter, while Egra is a little more airy and perhaps a tad less "synthetic" smelling. That being said, the overall quality is not in doubt. This remains one of Armaf's best fragrances (and one of their worst bottles), and while you could probably do better in terms of an exact 1:1 replica of GIT, Tres Nuit stands on its own pretty well. Grab a travel atomizer and enjoy your summer! :)

I am the first reviewer for al haramain L'aventure Knight. My first encounter with Tres Nuit was very meh. Now, fast forward to today. I found out that Tres Nuit became a parfum. I was skeptical but for the price, it was worth at least seeing. And, so here I am. The original EDT was always far, far too sweet. But the EDP is tempered. It's greener and fresher. The sweetness is severely weakened, for the better. This is soapy, green, freshness that, for me, is far and above good enough to replace Green Irish Tweed. The EDP is well rounded and surprisingly, doesn't cost more money. Blind buy worthy if you like fresh-green scents. Undoubtedly. I put this above L'aventure Knight because it's approachable and pleasant. L'aventure Knight is much darker and less approachable. The green freshness of Tres Nuit is generally equal to the sweetness now. It's a great mix.

Man oh man where do I start. Now, is this an exact clone of GIT? No but its pretty close. This one and L'Aventure Knight are the best ive smelled. But I didnt get this for it to clone GIT, I got it because I fell in LOVE with the smell. Something about this fragrance just screams masculine, fresh, and sexy to me. Its GIT, minus the Ozonic aspect and added a little more sweetness. This is PERFECT in any season other than Winter, as it doesnt cut through the cold as much as some others, but this is 100% one of my signature scents. I got this trying to find a Cool Water replacement actually, as Davidoff just reformulated it into the ground. This smells like vintage Cool Water and GIT had a baby. @WhoReallyNose? I'm glad you didn't have to experience that! And I never have with any other fragrance before in nearly 40 years. But when it happens twice--purchased with two of the most trusted online fragrance retailers in the U.S.--I thought the community should know about it. Because it seems like more than just extremely "bad luck", especially since an unusual number of people in the past year on the Tres Nuit thread here have complained and shared their comments related to it. My hope is that the post might offer an understanding "that all is not lost" to those who may unfortunately encounter the same issue..... rather than silently/unknowingly thinking they got a "bad batch" and never taking the chance to rebuy it, OR coming on here, slamming Tres Nuit for being nothing but "bug spray", and throwing it away.

After I sampled Creed Green Irish Tweed in store, I immediately loved it. However, I dont think GIT worth its price since the longevity and sillage are moderate. Then I looked it up and people says it is the closest dupe of the GIT, hence I blind bought it. After the first spray, I immediately loved this perfume too. It is very very very close to Creed GIT. No one can understand the difference who is not a perfume gourmet. The opening is a bit synthetic for sure, not as good quality as GIT but for this price, It is amazing. I always re-apply every 3-4 hours with 3-4 sprays because it is only $25, so why not? If you like GIT and are thinking twice because of its price, you should definetly buy this one. My bottle is incredible. Sorry guys but it seems like you have to get lucky with the batch for this fragrance and I did - from jomashop. My bottle was great right from the start and has only gotten better after many months of maceration. Felt that it was finally time to leave a good review. Regrettably I bought a few very popular and well reviewed clones when I first started getting in to fragrances and all of them were horrible besides tres nuit. The dna / scent profile of git is just so enjoyable and tres nuit does it just right. I still wear this fragrance at least once a week even though I have many great niche and designer fragrances. My go to when I want to wear a fresh fragrance. Side note I have worn tres nuit with git side by side one on each arm and they smell super close.

Tés Nuit was one of THEE FIRST fragrances in my crazy collection. I purchased this scent nearly 4 years ago, but havent worn it in over a year now so I decided to pull it out and give myself a few spritzes... FREAKIN' GORGEOUS! Wow! Very very beautiful, bright, clean, crisp and lasts FOREVER on my skin and nevermind my clothes! When Id first recieved Trés Nuit I was a tad dissapointed bc it did remind me of Cool Water (never smelled Green Irish Tweed) So I did a side by side with my brother's bottle of Cool Water and there's just no comparison! Trés Nuit blows Cool Water "Out the water!" LOL. They do have a similar core fna, but they wear SOO differently that they are easy to tell apart as Trés Nuit is much stronger, more crisp and WAAAAY greener! Amazing!

So this is supposedly a dupe of coolwater or GIT. I have GIT and its one of my favorites. And this does not smell like GIT. What it smells like is maybe a mix between GIT and coolwater. This is aquatic and it smells like aftershave, and Id say its closer to coolwater than GIT. Its a nice scent and for the price I cant complain. I wouldnt wear it for anything special. I use it for the gym or to spray in my bathroom like an air freshener. Its longevity is not good, its gone by like an hour. But during that hour it does perform. I do not see how people say it is similar to GIT, doesnt smell green or grassy here. The only thing that they share in common is Iris. Tres nuit is definitely fresher with the lemon. Overall its a good scent. 7/10.

Believe it or not, Très Nuit was recommended to me by an AI. I shared my favorite notes like violet, sandalwood, iris, citrus, and a craving for freshness and this fragrance came out on top an it checks every single box for me. It’s wonderfully fresh and citrusy, yet it retains a strong masculine edge. What surprised me most was the opening; unlike the typical 'Armaf harshness' some scents have, this one is smooth and pleasant from the very first spray. During the dry-down, the scent really evolves, becoming beautifully powdery and woody. Despite being out for a while, it feels very modern to me. Performance is solid, i can smell it on myself for quite a while, and I’ve already received my first compliments. Another winner from Armaf!

Looks left, looks right...... I like this more than I like my bottle of Green Irish Tweed. In my opinion the opening is better and the hint of sweetness and powder in the dry down are more pleasing to my nose. GIT absolutely smells less synthetic which is too be expected when one is 10x the price of the other but those subtle differences make up for it in my opinion. I hate to say this as it almost sounds cliche but Creed is resting on its past greatness. The sillage and longevity just aren’t there for fragrances that retail at $400+ and it’s insulting that they continue to Up their prices without upping their game. If you’re on the fence about this vs GIT, go with this and use the money you saved to take your partner on a date.

This is an incredibly purple fragrance, very classy and somewhat unisex. Iris and lavender and violet make for something very powdery and perfect for the springtime but also versatile enough for use both warm and cool days. Tres nuit is sweet and fresh, very gentlemanly and appropriate for mature folks and younger folks alike. This is what I would imagine a classic dandy to smell like. Not the most amazing longevity or projection, but this isn't a fragrance that seems like it would benefit with loudness- its subtlety is its strong suit. Easy wear for casual and semi-formal events. This will be getting the most mileage from me during the springtime, right when it would shine the most.

Creed Green Irish Tweed dna has become one of my favorites, from the OG to Cool Water to Coty Aspen to all the various twists and interpretations. For a warm day like today it's a lighter interpretation in Tres Nuit. It does have the Armaf lemon (iykyk) which quickly fades into the verbana and iris then to the violet, spices and lavender before the sandalwood and ambergris take over. It's really well done. It's easy to like and as I understand it with deeper maturity the one month I've had it, it'll really start to imbue the overall profile better and better. As it is lighter and almost fresher take I think this is actually more wearable in somewhat unbearable Arizona Summer heat.

A stand alone review i don't have the OG. One of the frags I lean towards the most when I dont wanna think about it too much. Most of my collection is on my profile. Smell: To me it smells like a green apple. Crisp, green, zesty and fresh. It does give me shower gel vibes if I really focus on it. Good enough for me. Tres Nuit VS. French Avenue Aether: I'll take tres nuit every time. Aether is definitely greener and it ain't got that shower gel smell but it got grass clipping and little to no apple. Tres nuit VS Turathi Blue. Honestly I love both of them equally but I do lean more towards Tres nuit more so because it's cheaper than Turathi. Smell wise I give it to turathi blue.

I own this, L'Aventure Knight, and Raghba. Note I've never owned GIT. Tres Nuit is likely my favorite. It is the most feminine, brightest and violet of the three. However over time, the florals subside and it just smells uniquely fresh! It also lasts the longest. L'Aventure Knight is the most nostalgic to me and masculine. However it's also very powdery and 'vintage' to me. Raghba is my least favorite because it has the least character of the three. It's also the most linear. I don't find it really has any progression. It's just ok. It replaces the powdery freshness or the brightness of Tres Nuit with straight lemon... While it passes, it doesn't really work the best. 7/10

I can't believe I wasted money on L'Aventure Knight. I thought well Tres Nuit is an awesome fragrance and why don't I just pick up LAK since the reviews are positive. Oh boy, I was duped hard. This is straight up vile. Tres Nuit is so fresh, smooth and creamy while Knight smells like green crayon. I feel like it's stuck on the sharp and green top notes and never transitioned to the bottom where I get the smoothness from Tres Nuit. Maybe I had a batch bottle. I think I might try my luck on Rasasi Egra but reviews are saying the feel like shower gel/watery, is closer to Cool Water which I'm not a fan of.

I don't know how those notes are in this perfume. I get an apple, shower gel, fresh smell with a sweet drydown that again smells like a green apple to me. Very blown away to know it has lavender and violeta lol. My one seems to be fine out of the box unless this is the bug spray smell. P.S. I know how pure lavender essential oil smells as we a lemon, violet and iris. I like it and money well spent. Have quite a few frags that I'm not impressed with atm and using what seems great while the rest mature. My bottle might be from the 2024 batch or a fresh batch idk and really dont care to check.

Great fresh, green fragrance for the price. Does smell a little synthetic & the violet/lavender kind of overwhelms everything else when sprayed on clothes but on my skin this smells very nice. The sandalwood & ambergris base notes really shine and give off a rich, creamy & sweet yet masculine aroma. Although the performance is not great, to me this smells far more expensive & sophisticated than the price would suggest. Compared to GIT it’s not super accurate. It’s more powdery, floral & sweeter but the dry-down is pretty close. Nonetheless, it’s still a great alternative.

Tres Nuit costs more or less twice than Raghba, but in my opinion it is much more aligned to the original GIT albeit a little sweeter, as noted below by other reviewers. Raghba has a much duller lemony note that really smells like bug spray. So, all in all, if you are looking for a reasonably priced alternative to GIT, this is the way. I would also see this as wearable all year around round, including winter. Tres Nuit is a very versatile sporty and masculine leaning fragrance, which could appeal to a wider (younger) audience given its increased sweetness compared to GIT.

Yes this will be my latest addiction. Love iris. Airy verbena "cucumbery" vibrant lavender and iris and great musk & sandalwood base. Don't get really any citrus in mine (feb 2025 batch). Not very obviously synthetic like some other Armaf stuff but it isn't creed quality. How could it be? Those few who do not like it I feel are objecting to the slightly earthy verbena smell and cannot get past it. You may prefer davidoff cool water, young man. good pure-class old money type smell but not in a "elegant old guy" way like PS Fine Cologne or Givenchy Gentleman or something.

.....A final update to my "ATTENTION" post on 3.13.26: Letting you know that after (4) FULL months of "maturing" a new bottle of Tres Nuit, it is now (definitely) 100% of what TN is known to smell like......An AMAZING alternative fragrance to GIT! So if you happen to receive a bottle of Tres Nuit that smells anything like "bug spray", or a "chemical mess", don't despair, or throw it away. It simply needs to mature .....Spray out 5-6 sprays of your new bottle and then let it sit in a cool dry place for it to mature to perfection.

I tried L’Aventure Knight first back in 2020. I really enjoy that fragrance and comparing the two is like comparing a blade meant for shaving and one to spread your jam on toast in the morning. Tres Nuit has the smoothness I was missing in Knight. To sum it up quickly, this smells much much more like GIT to my nose. It’s cheap enough still that every gentleman should have a bottle. That’s if the Creed original is out of the price range, or you’re just a clone freak like myself. 9/10 on this one!

So here's the real deal. It smells just clean a clean bar of Irish spring soap. If you like soapy scents this is it! I don't like to give away too many goods. I do like to gatekeep. I bought a small sample of Creed before this bottle and loved it so much I decided to push the button on this one. Glad I did. I won't give too much away cause honestly I hope you don't buy it. I don't want anybody else to smell like this scent. Leave it alone. Go buy a creed aventus clone.

Underrated. I have a decently large collection and have smelled literally hundreds of perfumes and colognes. This is among the very few I would call underrated on here. This should be 4.3 or so unless my bottle is just a good batch. Value in the performance and smell, mid $25 range is a worthy addition. The "Iris and freshness" Makes for a pretty darn good 60'F-80'F frag. I think over 80'F there are better options.

I actually like this better than Green Irish Tweed. I had tried GIT before in a sampler, but to me it smelled like a dressed up version of Cool Water. Not bad, but also not justified for the price. This has the GIT dna but less of the synthetic calone note of Cool Water. It's smoother and more natural like GIT, but definitely doesn't smell cheap by any means. Great daily wear for the summer and spring months.

Got my sample of this today and was pretty blown away at how close this is to GIT. Fresh, soft and clean without being synthetic. Other than it missing that amazing realistic grass smell in the opening, I'm not sure I'd know the difference between the two if compared after 15 minutes of spraying each. Considering you can grab a bottle of this for $25, if you're a fan of GIT it's a no brainer.

I have yet to try a decant of GIT, but with how much I love this I can already tell there's nothing GIT could add that makes the tag worth it to me. Better than the ALT clone which carries too much of a soap smell. Clean, green, goodness. Wish longevity was better, but can hardly complain given the price. Plus it allows me to apply a cologne more suited to nighttime once it's done.

My batch is very strong, and I found the opening isn't as light and airy as GIT. Once it dries down though, it gives you pretty much the exact same feeling as GIT. The projection and longevity are incredible too. My only issue is that it isn't quite as light and inviting as GIT. It's a little more in your face, but I'll just spray less of it. Definitely recommend.

I’m in love, I bought a Decant of GIT and then bought this, it’s similar in DNA but a little more powdery and floral and spicier. I like it more, to really enjoy it I have to overspray it but for the cost I’m fine with that! Love that I blind bought this! Will be a warm weather go to, early fall and spring, honestly I can see myself wearing this year round!

Not an exact clone of GIT. More of a clone of Davidoff Cool Water on the drydown. Smells like an entirely different cologne, and like the commenter before me, I also have a decent collection of cologne, but this one is different. The opening is woodsy, then it turns into Davidoff Cool Water (which is green, aquatic). Decent performance, not very strong.

Wonderful low price option to Creed GIT. You can defo tell the differences when side-by-side but they are very nice differences. This does not smell cheap!! Has a powedery / Parma Violet quality which I like. Atomiser is very nice too, not aerosol like but produces big mists. Worth every penny if you're starting to expand your collection.

Ive smelled Cool Water before and that was my first exposure to the GIT DNA. If you were to ask me, this is a MUCH better scent than Cool Water. Its so smooth and gentlemanly. I like the versatility that you can wear this in high heat or in AC conditions. Smells very green leaves type shi. Smells like that rich uncle but in a good way

Fresh, green, clean... this is the Creed Green Irish Tweed lane and a good take on it. It's a pleasing and relaxing fragrance. It's not offensive. I like it, and I usually throw it on before bed... something about how clean and calm it is just works at night for me. It's a lot of clean for the money. Personal subjective score: 8/10

I hate to do this to Creed but it has to be said. This $23 Tres Nuit out preforms GIT by a long shot. Yes of course GIT is nice and high quality. GIT opening is a bit sharper but overall it's so weak..This is slightly not as green as GIT but it's pretty close to a 1:1 for most of its performance, just a tad powdery-green.

I have both Cool Water and Tres Nuit. Identical side to side but Tres Nuit is lighter which is actually a good thing. Withstood 2 hours swimming in the ocean and the combination with the salt water breeze was so special and refreshing. If it does not smell like Cool Water it is probably a bad bottle or fake. 10 of 10.
