Blind buy. I haven't smelled Interlude Black Iris for quite some time, but if memory serves me, it was rather similar to Interlude Man, only with the addition of Orris. This has no similarities to Interlude Man, and therefore, apart from the Orris, no similarities to Interlude Black Iris. On its own, once the citruses subside, it's a lovely Iris forward fragrance hovering somewhere between what I call 'Green Iris' (green like the stem/stalk of the flower), and powdery. Though I wanted it to be an Amouage clone, I like it even more for not being an Amouage clone, and for being such a refreshing Iris scent. Though the performance seems like there's room for improvement, I think it's a safe blind buy for Orris lovers. So far, everything I've tried from Aurora (Pharaoh and this), seems to be of good quality.

Nose Note #682 So far all Aurora Scents fragrances have produced a very positive impression on me. This one is such an interesting iris scent. It's not like Dior Homme Intense or Armani Code, it's a thing on its own. This is earthier than DHI and this earthiness is such a wonderful touch. Smells very expensive and very elegant, but mind that it's not an everyday scent. It's complex and a little niche. Masculine leaning, but not 100% masculine. 7.5/10, not my type, but I highly appreciate this effort. If it's an original creation - great job!

It has some kind of aniseed feeling to me. Actually I expected more from the fragrance given the description and notes. Not blind buy recommended.
