Artisan Santal Musk

I just got the travel spray today and I'm obsessed. It smells luxurious and effortless. I usually don't go for woody scents but the musk really brings out the sexy in this perfume. I already ordered the full size bottle lol. Edit: got the full size and as much as I love it, it's more masculine and smells so sexy on my boyfriend, so I gifted him the full bottle. Its a unisex perfume but it smells better on a guy, more something I want to smell on someone else than myself 😍 Edit: NOPE I hate this on me now, every time I get a whiff i get a headache and nauseous immediately. My boyfriend somehow makes it work once it’s on him and it smells great, but I can’t be in the room when it’s sprayed right out of the bottle and I definitely can’t wear it.

I really like this cologne. I’m easily getting 10 plus hours of longevity. It also projects really well. Although listed as unisex, I think that is more masculine than unisex. This is well made cologne and I would buy it again if I’m able. I believe it’s discontinued.

Let me preface this by saying: I love Avon scents; musk (and certainly Avon musks!) are a winner for me nearly always; I love sandalwood as a note and it’s common in most of my favorite fragrances. I really, really wanted to love this - it was fairly pricey for an avon scent, but I thought for sure it would be a winner. It might be...if it didn’t trigger horrible headaches for me. 2nd day wearing it, 1 spray at my knees (to try to enjoy it without burying my face in it) and it’s a 2nd day with a migraine. I don’t think that’s a coincidence. I’m very sad. The scent itself I think I could otherwise enjoy. It starts as a sweet, slightly cloying musk - the pear maybe, a fruity sweetness. The sandalwood is not milky, smooth or creamy - it seems to have the cypress type note of Tam Dao or be mimicking the prickly, peppery-ness of Santal Blush. This version of sandal I find harsh and too challenging; I’d prefer a smoother style, even if that style of sandalwood isn’t as trendy or avant- guard. It makes the fragrance difficult to wear, it may even be what triggered my headaches. I do think it has potential - when it dries way down and becomes a skin scent, it is a sweet and slightly woody musk where the sharpness is just a faint, sweet cedar-woody-sandal that is quite pleasant. But by then it is very faint. Lasts about 4 hours. The headache lasts about 6 hours 😩

Wanted to love this, but do not at all. Too weak, too powdery, nowhere near enough sandalwood OR musk! Very disappointed, especially at this price point.

This is exactly what it says - an extremely musky sandalwood, heavy on the musk. About 4 hours in, I get a little bit of the rose, but it's a barely-there softness. It smells a lot like Grey Flannel for most of its life on me. I have the Avon Artisan Cherry Vetiver too and I love that. This one doesn't last as long for me as the CV and doesn't project as much either.
