I think it great to see that Fragrantica is including Lynx/Axe deodorants as one of their fragrances. On a side note, here in Australia ''Axe'' is known as ''Lynx''. anyways, This has to be one of the best smelling Lynx's I have come across, Its got a really strong, sweet coconut smell and its just divine and girls would always compliment me when I wore this back in the day. Sadly now (2017) all of the axe/lynx have been reformulated. Yes they still smell the exact same but they have dramatically decreased the amount of ''perfume'' oils in these and the scents just do not last or project as they used to. That is why you no longer hear of people complaining about school locker rooms reeking of lynx/axe or smelling people with this over applied... Because it is simply impossible to over apply this now. But back then a few sprays to the neck and anyone would think you were wearing an Eau De Toilette or Eau De Parfum strength cologne. Although back to what I was first saying, apart from the performance, The scent is still the same and smells awesome.

Layer something like Demeter Salt Air over this and you get the complete suntan lotion at the beach effect. The combination also compensates for the fact that individually they are each very simple fragrances. p.s. Could someone correct the title to 'Axe Excite' ?

Axe scents, in general, are not that bad. The problem is the way most wearers (usually either young men or teenage schoolboys) use them. They overapply, and use Axe as a substitute for bathing. Excite does smell a bit like Joop Homme Wild, however I detect more caramel. I wonder if it would be a "deeper" fragrance in an EDT version rather than a body spray. To me it smells like a toffee candy bar, minus the chocolate. It is interesting when worn with Axe Dark Temptation, because that adds the missing chocolate. Sillage and longevity, when applied in a sensible manner, are good but not overpowering.

On its own, this is nothing to write home about. Hell it's axe. Its better than smelling like a Summer's day in Africa. However, I used to pair this with Nivea Silver aftershave and the result is pretty decent. The Nivea aftershave splash had a semi- sweet, gentle citric vibe to it. They danced together quite well. Even though I was a student, (in adulthood, older and matured) the addition of the aftershave didn't leave me smelling like a student. Make sense?

i'm totally addicted to this fragrance, the best Axe in my opinion. The smell reflect exatly the listed notes: coconut, caramel and hazelnuts, that's it. Sweet but also not annoying or cloying in some way, it's a sexy and warm scent with a little bit of freshness given by the coconut. I have the EDT of this and the quality it's not amazing but i don't complain at all for the price, the performances are okay. 8/10

Axe Excite is a little bit if you removed the coconut rum of Joop! Homme Wild but replaced it with coconut and then combined it with Valentino Uomo due to the hazelnut and to an extent the caramel. Really nice but as a bodyspray it can easily get cloying.

I have a bottle of this since 2013, the EDT version. The scent is very warm. There's a hint of citrus on the top, but just barely. When that dies down, you're left with the coconut. If you toast some dessicated coconuts, you pretty much nailed it.

I used to wear the Hyper Fresh version of this every day to cover up when I smelled like weed. Surprisingly it smells really really good for axe! I think just the brand alone throws people off, but it covered any smell pretty well.

Africa was very much the Lynx du Jour when I was a kid, but Excite was always my go-to. Contrarian from a very young age I guess. I always liked the smooth, milky sweetness of the coconut/hazelnut/caramel combo.

This is the best axe I've smelled until now. It is a nice combination of sweetness and freshness. Masculine but not vulgar like other axe fragrances. It has a comfy vibe too, that i really like. Thumbs up!

Smells of burnt hazelnuts, yuck!

Okay so I’ve seen that Joop Homme Wild is basically the same? If so, im buying it ASAP. Axe is usually known for very low quality and just very juvenile scents that are overused to death, but this...I really can’t say anything bad about. To me this is a scent that I really need as an actual frag because it just smells that good. It’s a go to for body wash since it stays for a while and I used to buy the body spray all the time before I got into frags. It just smells way too good to be from Axe. This and dark temptations are the 2 scents from Axe that I have no shame in saying I absolutely adore.

Axe Excite is all coconut and nutty goodness. I only purchased this as so many people kept saying this smells like 1 Million. I purchased the bodywash to pair with 1 Million. It doesn't smell remotely similar to 1 Million at all.

all i get here is lavandin, coconut, sweet woody notes, and pepper. probably the only axe you'll ever catch me using. layers well with smoky niche profiles, i must admit.

Paring this with Aura by MUGLER is otherworldly. It gives Aura an Angel like gormandness which works incredibly well with the oriental-floral-botanical composition.

4scentsin1day - I think they included it because it's also an EDT. I, for example, have the perfume version, not the deodorant.

@bodda: headspace technology uses gas chromatography, so I wouldn't consider those to be 2 different techniques

This was the body wash my dad would get for me when I was a teen. It was pretty unisex and I really liked it!

I usually hate axe but Exite smells delicious a coconut hazelnut that resembles JPG Le Beau.
