Hot Fever

It'd be cool to see this reformulated by a designer, this was the scent that started it all for me back in 2009 when I was 10.

sharp and woody. a little bit citrusy. not bad for $5.

Are people even smelling these “reminds me of” suggestions? I used to keep a bottle of Axe Hot Fever in my gym bag for years; in fact, I still have a bottle. I also have the listed JPG Le Male Pride and Kenzo Home Marine edt, as well as a sample of Blockade. I know we all experience fragrances in a different way, but there is just no world in which this smells like any of these. Are people just looking at notes and throwing guesses? Wtf? I think LolitoLempicko’s insights on the “dirt accord” are good ones. The thing is, the fruity notes - especially the Mango - are not sharp or bright at all; so because of that and the deeper, darker dirt accord, I also question the mention of God of Fire. I won’t downvote it though, because all I have are 2 clones of that, but I just can’t imagine this being close to it. I still really enjoy this scent, though.

This was my jam in college. I just loved everything about it. I received it as a gift from my aunt, who was also in college at the time, and it was a major compliment getter. I remember it having a more incredible orange scent than the listed notes, but it is what it is. I eventually 'upgraded' to more masculine barber shop and classic mens colognes but as I grew I learned to embrace more of this side of what I like. Axe was most young men's introduction to fragrances and coming back to this reminds me of what I loved about them. I see that God of fire is on the smells like list and I dont agree personally. If they made a cologne with this scent I would be interested though. I remeber a warm tropical orange scent with a spicy sweetness. Almost a night time tropical orange but I would wear this thing anytime and everywhere.

Honestly one of the only axe scents I like. It smells pretty good. To me, most of the axe scents all smell the same, but this one really stands out. It is opens with kind of a strong woodsy/citrus scent. I guess I can smell the guava a little bit too. It does not have much lasting power, but still, its not bad. If you like spicy woodsy scents that are strong on the orange citrus, you will probably enjoy this. In a way it kind of smells like Clinique Happy for men or maybe Boss In Motion, not exactly like those two, but in the same category.

Hot Fever disappoints in the fact that it lists so many fruit notes yet it's not fruity at all. It's an orange citrus over a very vivid, natural smelling "dirt" accord. It smells like dirt when you go outside and start shoveling or planting flowers. I can't wear this as a deodorant as the dusty dirt accord is very noticeable and distracting. So I don't find it suitable for physical activity. One of the most unique inexpensive fragrances I've encountered. It's discontinued but you can still buy it online.

Can we talk about this? The note combination sounds incredible. Someone reviewed it on Amazon saying, "AXE 'Hot Fever' Body Spray is GREAT, if you like girls to think you're made of candy made just for her..." I want to smell like an earthy tropical forest god; is this my best bet?
