Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum

As if the bottle weren't enough to make you buy this, it's also gorgeous to smell! It smells like the bottle looks. It's also a pretty big bottle for the price, and for an EDP. I am a magpie and immediately went to the counter when I saw this bottle, which, as someone here said, is basically a giant gem. It reminds me of the Amethyst scent from Victoria's Secret's Second Skin Satin line in the 90s. I was obsessed with that entire line, and to this day I am always, always hunting for things that are like it. I have been mostly unsuccessful, but this one comes close! I am sure scents are packaged to give a sense of the fragrance inside, but I wonder just how much we can judge based on that, since it seems like a fairly subjective thing... but I do find it an interesting coincidence that this amethyst-like bottle also smells a lot like that old Amethyst perfume, which was the very same color. This may not be the most innovative scent, but that doesn't mean it isn't absolutely beautiful! It's not common, either. Yes, it's jasmine, musk, peony and tuberose, but not in that "been there, done that" way. It would make an amazingly impressive gift and is a safe buy for someone of any age or personality. It's a quiet, relaxing, dewy scent. Everyone seems to describe it as bright and springlike, but I find it more tranquil and like a warm bubble bath.

You all are totally sleeping on this new Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum. It’s soooooo good and my number one Spring scent. It’s soft and pretty and feminine and floral, fresh as a spring breeze, sparkling like champagne, and yet somehow also warm like sunshine reflecting off of waves. It’s unlike anything else in my whole collection and really special and unique. The bottle is so beautiful like a precious faceted amethyst gem and no one else has it. Even my husband loves it. A part of me just wants to keep it all to myself, but it’s too good! Beautiful, elegant, chic. Very much keeping in line with the style of the brand. Try it...or don’t. More for me!

Just a beautifully designed fragrance that has a unique Chemistry that appeals to everyone , but maintains an originality that makes it different than the rest . And the bottle is basically a jewel .... precious

I accidentally purchased a 10ml. travel sprayer of this thinking it was the original Badgley Mischka and couldn't understand why what I was smelling didn't match the note profile for that scent. It was a thoughtful frangrantica member,(thanks Bee!),who informed me of my error. I don't understand why perfumers keep doing that. Just give the perfume a different name and stop driving everyone nutz! LOL! Anyway, this comes off as a floral aquatic to me. It's a very light and watery fragrance where the pear, and calone (not listed in the notes) initially stands out. It is soon joined by florals that are rather non-descript. It's actually hard for me to determine what exactly they are. I certainly don't pick up tuberose, or jasmine, or any of the other floral notes for that matter. It's just a light, watery, floral bouquet. It's not a fragrance you can sink your teeth into as it lacks depth and heft. While it might be okay for warmer temps, it's not anything novel or new. For comparison purposes, it's on the line of Enjoy by Jean Patou, another watery, perfumy floral, but that is a little more distinct and better composed. This is just a SAFE fragrance, one that you can grab and go when you need something that doesn't stand out. It sure won't bowl anyone over, but it won't offend anyone either, mainly because I doubt anyone will be able to smell it. The silage is so light it's almost nonexistent, and the longevity is mediocre at best. I'm glad I only bought a travel sprayer.

I wish I got more jasmine, magnolia, and iris in this scent. I wouldn't say the description was inaccurate by any means, but with all the notes described, I expected this to be much more complex. It's a very easy-to-like white floral. If you like Kim Kardashian fragrances or are a fan of Bath and Body Works/Victoria's Secret perfumes, you will likely enjoy this fragrance. It's pleasant and sweet, but not at all unique or interesting. If someone smelled you wearing this, they wouldn't complain, but they probably wouldn't ask what perfume you're wearing. TL;DR - A sweet, simple white floral, a bit fruity. A few notes come through the most: pear blossom and (sweet) amber. Pleasant but not unique.
