Del Mar Seychelles Limited Edition

For the longest time it was my favorite masculine smell. But when I quit smoking that fell flatter. Maybe that's because of a bad association and pipe tobacco note in it. Anyways the aroma is very unique, pleasant freshy with a smoky scent of leather sandals on the beach. So sexy

My absolute Nr 1 Summer fragrance. Everything about it is perfect. The melon and the tobacco ar the stars, providing this blend with an truly special DNA. Back up bottles secured. LOVE!

Fresh peppery watermelon tobacco. Definitely not aquatic. Someone said it was leathery and that is spot on.

Woody, spicy watermelon. Baldessarini Del Mar Seychelles (DMS) is all about the watermelon first. Fruity with slight sweetness. However, Baldessarini, being the older-age oriented house, have beautifully made the fragrance woodier and spicier with suede, tobacco, and black pepper. The resultant smell is a fruity, woody, and mildly spicy scent. It's warm and very pleasing. One might call it a bit generic as there is abundance of fragrances that share a very similar woody watermelon accord. Now, because they opted for woody watermelon, the watermelon doesn't smell very juicy and sweet. Still nice but do not come expecting salivating watermelon fruitiness. A lovely smell, indeed. DMS is more of a spring, daytime wear suitable for all ages. This would be a very good starter choice for a young person trying to get into woodier fragrances. DMS gets a big "like".

Blind bought this bottle, based on the notes shown here, as well as the fact I like Baldessarini and Hugo Boss fragrances. I had actually gotten this as well as the original Del Mar as a sample. Not sure about the original Del Mar - on me it seems too floral-soapy for my taste. But Del Mar Seychelles is beautiful. To me it opens similar to Hugo, but it's not quite as sharp and melon replaces Hugo's apple. It quickly passes through a bit of black pepper and woodiness, settling on a nice soapy suede. Just a little sad I don't get any of the tobacco.
