Apple Blossom & Lavender

I didn't expect to like this at all, I anticipated another "meh" fragrance with apple, or to possibly even dislike this altogether. I had a shower gel tucked away for years because I got it for cheap, and I haven't been impressed by County Apple, Beautiful Day, or Pear Berry. I actually detest Winter Candy Apple and Champagne Apple & Honey too. I'm also totally unimpressed with designer apple-y fragrances like Dylan Blue. I'm just not a huge apple person. Unlike B&BW's other apple or pear featuring fragrances, this is much more balanced, and the florals sing equally alongside the fruit. I disagree with gourmond_girlie (sorry, nothing negative intended), as I'm around Beautiful Day quite often and I've owned products in the scent, BD has a much heavier, tart green apple tone that wrestles the florals out of focus. Both are decidedly shampoo-y and BD is the most similar B&BW release to this one (the others I mentioned are not at all), but they're not super similar to me. I much prefer this one, it's far prettier to my nose, the green apple is tempered and much *nicer*. AB&L is really freshly floral, and actually doesn't smell cheap at all. It's not elevated or expensive smelling necessarily, but it smells of a nice shampoo or body wash, which is exceptionally fitting if you have the shower gel. I don't get most of the notes in here, I'm only voting the apple and apricot for fruits, and the apple blossom with some lavender and a smidgen of magnolia, there's not much in terms of true basenotes at all. And of course, this review really has little point because this is now discontinued. I'm too little too late, but I had an unanticipated surprise in liking this today 😊🍏💜 (Cross posted to both entries.)

Bath And Body Works Apple Blossom and Lavender makes a great bedroom linen spray and air freshener.

The initial spray is refreshing fruity however the dry down smells like car freshener to me.

I thought this might smell like potpourri due to the lavender... but this is all 100% pure "fruity-fresh shampoo"! It's sweet, feminine, lovely. Projects well. You can't apply this with a heavy hand or you may choke people out. Lasts FOREVER. It stayed on my arm even after I got out of the shower (why can't BBW make their mists this strong anymore?).
