Ivory Cashmere

On me this is a beautiful your skin but better scent. I get a crisp refreshing fruit note in the beginning, like the skin of a pear but not it’s flesh or juices, and it’s lightly sweet but quite delicious and makes me want to take a deeper sniff. Then I get the aquatic atmospheric scent. I thought with a name like Ivory Cashmere it would smell warm and musky and not dissimilar to Donna Karan Cashmere Mist. What I get instead is a cooling sensation like the mist from a river that’s winding along a mountain hiking trail. This scent is one of those “barely” type of fragrances but not in the sense of it being barely there. I mean that it’s barely fruity, barely aquatic, barely atmospheric or ozonic. And yet all of these things combined all at once that really seem to lift off of the skin and float around you create this ethereal vibe that smells like what I would imagine the garden of Eden to smell like. This is a rare gem of a find from Bath & Body Works. While I find that 90% of their fragrance all smell the same or have some annoying underlying base, it thrills me that there’s still some hidden masterpieces lurking in those shelves, and this is one of them.

left a review for this on the 2023 version, but ig fragrantica deleted that one. either way, i have the newest version, and it's so, so good. i generally don't love clean scents (more of a warm/gourmand lover) but this is objectively beautiful and well-blended. definitely doesn't smell like a bath and body works scent. it's sweet and warm but not gourmand or cloying, clean but not in a powdery/laundry way, and it's got that ozonic note that's so popular nowadays. on the skin, i get some soft, sweet florals (reminds me of the summer's eve delicate blossoms wash, but rounder and softer) as well, though they're not listed in the notes. i could see this being an everyday, all-year-round scent for so many people, but for me, this is more of a special occasion fragrance--just classy, a bit unisex, but still feminine. the projection and longevity on this are also surprisingly good for a clean scented body mist, although some people are anosmic to these kinds of ozonic frags, so keep that in mind!

Bought this because it was supposedly a very close dupe to 11:11 by Lake & Skye. I love that perfume but I have to hold myself back fom spraying too much because I don't want to run out of it. So I was in need of something similar to douse myself with it. At first I thought it was similar but not quite. There's a note in the opening that is jammy sweet that makes it a tad different. Similar to the fig note in Indigo by Nest just way toned down. However, once it dries down, that note disappears and it develops basically into the same perfume. I can definitely smell the amber in this. I've also tried a lot of musks but Ethylene brassylate is my favorite kind. It's soft, sparkly and lightly sweet. Unlike other musks that smell more like powdered laundry. I'll be layering this fragrance mist with my 11:11 perfume oil and perfume spray for a stronger sillage and longevity. I think I might purchase the body wash as well as the lotion too.

This scent feels very familiar to me though im not sure why. It’s definitely strong for a b&bw spray, way more complex than I expected, and lasts a decent amount of time. I can still smell traces of it 4-5 hours after applying which I think is impressive for a spray. It starts off very musky and almost cologne like... then dries down to feel more cozy warm (but still fresh.) I’m excited to wear this on colder snowy days. Definitely a unisex one!

This is such a pretty smell. It’s warm but crisp. It’s clean but not laundry detergent clean. You can tell it’s there but it’s not overpowering. I really like this. I’ve seen multiple places it’s a dupe for 11:11 but I’ve never smelled that before actually. I wish this lasted longer but it is a bath and body works spray after all. I really like it. Truly reminds me of clean,cool, autumn air.

this is such a pretty scent. it's a skin but better kind of fragrance. very clean and airy, and it has a coolness to it, very refreshing and soft. i think it's pretty versatile and can be worn whenever you'd like since it's inoffensive and just smells like you just stepped out of the shower. overall really enjoy this.

idk how to even describe this, its a very airy crisp and clean scent. i really love it! i like to wear it to bed, but will def want to see how it holds up with wintery weather. wish it lasted longer :( but i guess i can bring it with me in my bag

I’m shocked that I don’t see Bond no 9 Greenwich Village in the reminds me of section... I own Greenwich Village, and this definitely smells similar. Not a dupe by any means, but definitely one to layer with the fragrance.

A very clean freshie through and through!! Amazing to layer with any of your EDPs that are in the ambery/musky/fresh/airy category! So glad this scent is coming back to BBW in just a few short weeks 🙂

My husband just said "this smells like you!" I've wore it only a few times, so I don't know what he means, I think it's just a very safe, inoffensive clean amber/musk.

I loooove using this to layer with La vie est belle and even with ysl libre La parfum 🫶🏻 this is so difficult to find nowadays tho I hope they bring it back

Fresh and clean. Pairs well with Maison Margela Bubble Bath.

The white amber lends a masculine kinda sour, cigarette smell in this, quite dry and the musk gives an animalic breezy vibe, so both notes have a sour ambery effect similar to ambroxan (which gives an amber and musk smell) and so it reminds me of a lighter more breezy, less sweet Armani Si or La Rive In Woman due to the sour ambroxan (dry amber musk) of the latter and their sour-sweet green elements. Si and In Woman are both sweeter more vanilla-centered and more spicy by the pathcouli, but all of them have this sour balsamic cigarette smell to them from the black currant leaf or cassis, from the patchouli of course amplifying it and from the "dry" ambery musky ambroxan, the heart of the scent. It's also similar to Beauty by La Rive which derives its ambroxan-type sour tone from the black currant and amber while its actual musk note makes it as animalic as Ivory Cashmere. Beauty by La Rive, Armani Si and In Woman all have an intense floral element that Ivory Cashmere lacks. Ivory Cashmere is fresher without patchouli spice and more musky thus more wearable for me. To me they are in the same league and I am surprised people haven't noticed for so long. The notes are there as evidence of what I smell in common in these fragrances lol. Others may like Armani Si's sweeter vanilla vein, but Si/In Woman are more mature smelling while Ivory Cashmere is more youthful and carefree with nothing to weigh it down or spice it up. This is nothing like Kaleidoscope which is more herbal, peppery and metallic woody in the Glossier You, "god is a woman" clan, let alone In the Stars, no resemblance. I rarely wear Ivory Cashmere due to the sour ambery cigarette smell on me, but I still love it for autumn weather. A fresher, musky, but still tart scent similar (as in same league, not a dupe) to Ivory Cashmere (but not to Armani Si) is Guess Dare, the cactus/pear perfume that reminds me of the desert and the new VS Crisp Marigold Pear. Both remind me of BBW Ivory Cashmere due to their sour high pitched intense musky element, but Ivory Cashmere is spicy due to the white amber.

This is a cool fragrance. The musk makes it lean more on the masculine side, but there's also a citrusy note which resembles bergamot that my nose keeps on picking up. It smells exactly what I imagine cleanliness would be. The airy note makes it more ozonic and calm, then the amber keeps it more grounded. The sillage is strong, and the drydown is reminiscent of a pricey men's perfume. It lasts moderately. This is something I'd love my partner to wear. Sophisticated and well-balanced. I can't picture myself wearing this, but it would smell totally fantastic if someone else wears it instead.

I got the body cream today, and I really like it! This DOES resemble in the stars in the dry down even though the opening is totally different, so if you’re not a fan of that, id steer clear from this. But I actually have grown to love in the stars over time, so it doesn’t bother me at all. This is such a clean, fresh fragrance but also has that warm, amber-y fall like feel. This is another scent that’s perfect for layering, as it’s not too strong or polarizing so long as most of the notes match up. It’s a very “clean skin” type of scent, which is always a good non-offensive option.

Ivory Cashmere starts with calone. It has an airy aquatic feel to it, slightly sweet like melons. Occasionally I get hints of citrus. It then dries down to a mild ambroxane. It is warm ambery and slightly musky. Clean without being soapy. Comforting like a mother’s hug. It is mostly a skin scent. I spray my clothes with it whenever I’m wearing an aquatic (L’eau d’Issey, Cool Water, Escape, etc.). But since the calone topnote is transient and you’re left with an ambroxan skin scent, it is versatile to layer with almost any perfume.

Fresh, crisp, clean, musky, slightly warm, and sensual. Think standing on a Rocky Mountain mountain top looking down at a beautiful clear blue lake. A fresh mountain breeze blows as you wrap yourself in a soft, cozy, and warm cashmere sweater. Ivory Cashmere is so lovely! My first thought of it was of a beautiful fresh mountain breeze! It opens with a fresh, crisp, and clean ozonic scent, with just a tiny aquatic hint, and then becomes more musky, sensual, and warm during the dry down.

ok listen, I don't have the body spray, but I do have the shower gel and it is just a lovely scent. It's comfortable, warm, and luscious. I wish B&BW would keep their new scents on the shelves for longer than 18 minutes because I'd love to continue buying the Ivory Cashmere line; it debuted just a few months ago and it's already nowhere to be seen.

Unisex and smells like pure, cold, crisp air. Very neutral smell, clean and put together, kind of good for a formal occasion. A kind of rare cool amber smell and smells much more expensive than it actually is. Great for day or for night, I enjoy it and it makes me feel mature.

Very beautiful pretty scent. Very good for layering with other frags as well. Can be work day and night and even at bedtime. Your skin but better. Intimate sillage. Skin scent.

This is what I expected Clean Reserve Skin to smell like. It's less sweet and a bit citrusy to my nose. Really good.

It is a fresh and clean scent. I strongly associate it with a facial cleanser I have tried before.

The dry-down is a dupe for Lake and Skye 11 11

I got this during bbw sale. $5 for the body wash, spray and lotion was a super deal! Ivory Cashmere is very clean smelling. It does remind me of my 11 11 oil. I’m guessing it’s the amber and musk. It helps to enchance the body oil. Seems some people are anosmic to this scent. It is not a typical fruity/vanilla scent from bbw. This is clean clean clean, but not super soapy. Age: This feels “older” to me, 30’s and up. Sillage: not great, but can be layered Season: this fragance could be worn all year long and work. It has a cool freshness that would work for summer or winter. I think adding some vanilla or would warm it up a bit, I like to layer stuff. I haven’t done it just yet. I also think rose could be added to this and still smell lovely. This isn’t for everyone. I’m in my early 40’s and I work with kids so I like some fragrance, but nothing heavy or offensive. I’m find the musk comforting and I think it is that exactly when others smell me. Just like a large cozy sweater skin scent, hence the “cashmere”. It’s almost unisex to be honest, that’s how clean and cozy it is.

I bought this back in the winter of 2021 because I wanted to try something sweet and vanilla-ish. At first spray in the store, I was kind of grossed out. But, I decided to take it home and spray it without all of the other body sprays and scents combining with it. I sprayed once at home and feel absolutely in love with it. It is the perfect cashmere sweater scent. On a first date in the winter, spray this one! I literally love it so much. It's light, flirty, and really sweet. I think it is the perfect winter scent. Smells so similar to Radiant Nectar by Clean and Sweet by Ellis Brooklyn. I'm currently obsessed with fragrances like this so I love it. It is such a fresh musky amber, and theres almost a sweet fruitiness to it (maybe melon?). SO GOOD. Of course it is a body spray so the longevity is lacking a considerate amount, but I don't mind reapplying on my clothes throughout the day.

I tried to convince myself that I like this. The 2023 packaging is beautiful and this is a somewhat hyped scent. Clean reserve skin is one of my favorite scents and was hoping to find a lotion and mist to layer with if. I kept smelling my arm layered with the lotion and spray to find good qualities, but on me it's just very synthetic smelling.

This smells masculine on me and I don't enjoy wearing it at all. It must be the "mountain air" note... it's a fresh, outdoorsy, deodorant soap type scent. I feel like I'd enjoy smelling this on a lumberjack. I wanted to love it because of the name and beautiful frosted bottle.

Take my review with a grain of salt cause I only sprayed it on my skin in store one time and thought it smelled very sterile like a hospital
