Kaleidoscope

Update: Cannot detect a difference between perfume and body spray. Very similar to Glossier You and Lacoste Femme. I wear them together interchangeably. Kaleidoscope body cream is a good back-up too. === Iris + cedar + vanilla + pink pepper. The last note gives it a wonderful freshness that I don't get but want with Prada Iris. This is a skin scent that I can barely smell 10 minutes after spraying the body spray, so disappointing. I will try a small portion of the perfume but expect the same performance given your reports here, too bad. This also reminds me of Flower's musky Cherished (which has less iris and more wood). I love the shimmery colorwave label too and have finally learned to spell kaleidoscope, lol. 2018 and already the EDP is discontinued. I guess they always have to have something new. This is a little more grown-up than many of their floral-fruity stuff. Too bad it is not stronger and not still in the stores. I wish I could get shower gel or fragrance oil -- oh, I see the shower gel is still out there.

Kaleidoscope is a beautiful blend of iris, cedar, and pink pepper with an underlying sweetness, like a Swedish fish candy type of sweetness. I'm so in love with this smell that I don't even care about its poor longevity. Bath and Bodyworks are idiots for retiring this. They used to at least bring it back for the semi-annual sale, but after speaking with an employee while shopping recently, I think Kaleidoscope is gone for good. There is still a chance it will return for the semi-annual summer sale, but I feel like it is unlikely. My bottle is starting to run low, and I'm experiencing genuine stress over it. I have Glossier You, but it is missing the sweet Swedish Fish aspect. I theorize that if I layer You with God is a Woman, the result will be close to Kaleidoscope. Hopefully, I'm right because I genuinely can't live life without this scent. Anyways, until the dreaded day I run out, I will cherish my bottle as if it is the Venus de Milo.

Lovely strong peppery notes to the point I didn't even pick up any sweetness upon first sniff. Later it became obvious that the pepperiness was just balancing the sweet out, but they are both prominent though not competing against each other. A wonderful your-skin-but-better scent, one which reminds me of being told "you smell good" vs "your perfume smells good". Difficult to pick out individual notes/it's one of those fragrances which morphs and messes with your mind trying to figure exactly WHAT it smells like! I like the warheads comparison someone else mentioned. Reminds me of the original Love Spell body spray from Victoria's Secret!

Why does the lotion, body spray , and perfume all smell differently? Believe it or not,, the body spray is the best one.. I’m not a fan of body sprays.. but it actually smells more feminine and like twizzlers.. the perfume I can smell oud and it’s more unisex.. maybe it’s my nose .. I have the Zara cotton kiss.. and it’s a step sister of Kaleidoscope.. I can only use the lotion in the winter.. I feel in the summer it completely changes the scent., I bought like 10 a couple years ago. Thank goodness it’s still good.

This review I’m writing is for the mist, I don’t have the EDP, but this fragrance is what led me to finding glossier you. I absolutely love it and I hope one day BBW will bring this back atleast to be able to stock up on the lotions to layer with glossier you. Also this is very similar to sonic flower by room 1015. And if you’re looking for a lotion that’s not a dupe to Kaleidoscope but vibes VERY well with it, flamingo lotion from target in the green bottle-just trust me!!! 💕

I remember getting this during B&BW’s semi annual sale in December 2019. Was able to snag 2 full size perfume as well as a mini spray for 75% off. Fast forward to August 2023 and all I have left is one full size perfume. I’ll be very sad when I get to finish it. Hoping that they’ll bring it back as it’s such a unique, very potent and long lasting, warm, unisex scent that as a guy I enjoy wearing all year round.

beautiful smell with a perfect flower/wood balance. It gives me a strong Lanvin Eclat de Arpege vibes, which is weird as it is not even mentioned in here in the "reminds of" section. I love the smell itself even more than Lanvin,but longevity is obviously lacking. Also, slightly pricey now since it was discontinued:(

I was given the body lotion recently and when I tell you this is a new love, obsession even? Why did I miss out on this? Please let's all come together and pray Bath and Body Works bring this back again even for a short moment like they did lovely dreamer? I love that one too and was able to grab a few of those. 🤞🙏🏿

the way i would sell my soul for an unlimited supply of this. i made an account just to gush over this scent. definitely top of my list! i've bought some over ebay and it's hit or miss, it's either the actual scent with no tampering or it's reminiscent and very clearly not the scent it's trying to be.

I really enjoy this perfume! On me it smells like soft clean musk with a hint of a woody note. Its so sad that its only available now in body spray and travel size perfume. Anyway I’m one of the few who enjoy this perfume but ai have a feeling it might get discontinued.

This was love, and definitely one of the most beloved fragrances of BBW! I loved it so much and I cannot count how many times I picked up a bottle whenever I go to a BBW store. Woody and earthy, truly feminine without being cloying

I’m using the body spray so i can’t really speak on the perfume, but it smells really good. When you first spray it there’s more of the pink pepper and it smells kinda sour? But in a good way lol. My boyfriend likes it.

RIP Kaleidoscope. You were a beautiful, gentle, comforting soul. We will miss the way you floated in on a soft iris cloud and your warm cedar embrace. Edit: If you need a SUPER SIMILAR scent, try mix bar “cloud musk”.

If anyone wants to buy this again Bath and Body Works just brought it back under the name If You Musk. I could cry right now!!! 😭😭😭 They listened!!!

Maybe I’m crazy but to me this smells like raspberries, perhaps with some whites chocolate.

I don't really gravitate toward the category of floral woody musks, but sometimes I buy something a little outside my wheelhouse as a sort of olfactory disguise. I'm not generally a fan of white musk, but it's not sharp or cloying here, just cool and clean. I like the soft powdery iris, and in the base there's a touch of something my hippie heart loves, some approximation of sandalwood, vetiver, and patchouli in the dry down. SJP Lovely and DSquared2 She Wood are the only other examples of this perfume category that I own, but this is true to type: soft florals and clean white musk on a base of those pleasantly persistent cedary and sandalwood-ish artifical aromachemicals like iso E super and cashmeran that will annoy you to no end if you start smelling them in literally every fragrance around you. I spritz it on after a shower and I smell scrubbed clean, perfectly inoffensive, radiating a sexless femininity. This is a good fragrance for the workplace or for those days when you're not sure what you'll get into and don't want to find yourself smelling out of place. It's hard to overspray because it fades to a skin scent in less than an hour. I don't love it but I don't dislike it. It's just the thing to spray when I don't want to smell like my usual incense/spices/patchouli/etc., but also don't want to smell like nothing.

A Very nice, clean, soft scent. I purchased the the "edp" a few months ago. I wasn't fond of the performance, so i didn't wear it or spray it as much because i didn't want to run through the bottle. I got about two hours max on my skin, which is very disappointing for a "edp". I guess it was limited edition because B&BW stopped selling it and later released it as a body mist. I just received the mist today and it performs just as well as the "edp"lol. It's a Iris based scent so if you have Prada Infusion D'Iris, you can pair it as a base so that the scent last longer. I'm pretty sure there are other Iris scents out there that smell similar to this. The only reason why i mentioned PID is because i have it and they smell very similar to my nose. Scent: 8/10 Packaging: 7/10 Performance: 6/10

Something about this smells very, very y2k. It makes me think of a fashionable helicopter mom walking around with their honor student kid at the scholastic book fair back in elementary school. I don't get the iris. It's just pink pepper and cedar to me. It's also oddly sweet in an almost gourmand type of way without being a gourmand. It smells kinda nice but I wouldn't wear it because of the strong moms-at-the-PTA-meeting vibes it gives off. I'd spray it in my room for the nostalgia because it really does remind me of my elementary school days.

This smells like Glossier You, just a bit less peppery. If You is a more toned-down version of Fleur de Peau by Diptyque, then Kaleidoscope is a more toned-down version of Glossier You.
