Smoked Old Fashioned

My husband, in a bottle. Usually I am a fragrance snob, and don't truly expect to find anything at BBW. Everything there is like Avon, various synthetic notes blended into the same base. Generic and cliche. My daughter loves the place, so one day I indulged her. Bored, I saw a bottle in a seductive hue, a dark greyish green. The label was simple looking, and the bottle seemed luxurious in a way that most of their products usually aren't. Masculine, chic and practical. I took a chance whiff. The rest is history. This is the notes of a mature man, not a young one. This man works with his hands: outside. This man smokes and drinks, and smiles a lot. This man owns no skincare, and absolutely wouldn't be caught dead in Old Spice or Axe. He doesn't like cologne. No frills, no time. His truck is lined in leather, the floorboards are full of mud. He has crow's feet and bills. His jeans are faded. His boots are dirty. You can smell the smoke and leather, the fresh mountain air, pine wood and dark whiskey. There is diesel fuel on his shirt, but the laundry soap is still there too. Somewhere behind all of that is a dark and rich woody note you cannot explain, but it makes you weak in the knees. This scent makes kids hug Dad a little longer. I've seen it. He hates cologne, but I've seen him reach for it more than a few times. It is a very specific scent, it is not for everyone. It is simple, yet complex. It is warm and inviting, but sexy, hard and clean at the same time. I was quite impressed with it for the price. He sprays it on his coats, and I can smell it a few days afterward. Spray lightly in the summer.

ONE WHIFF OF THIS AND I'M TIPSY..... ....So I guess I'm a cheap date because the projection and and silage is unbelievable!! But come one...if you have read any of my other reviews... you know I do 10-15 sprays at the very least. So after 5 sprays I'm above the legal limit. I can't believe B&BW put out this gem.....and then took it away!!!!! If you had the chance to experience this be glad you did because it really set a new standard for them. I loved it so much I went back and bought the shower gel and body lotion. This reminded me of a classy gentleman having a drink all by himself at the bar and then going home with him....I love this drink! Move over Cherry Blossom, Champagne Toast...and everything else they sell...this one was one to remember.

I purchased the body cream and shower gel for my husband a few months ago. The other day I walked into the kitchen and got a whiff of this amazing scent. He had rubbed some onto this hands and I asked him what it was. He replied that it was the body cream that I had gave him. I just went back and purchased the cologne. Layering the shower gel with the body cream and fragrance can only improve the longevity which is already at least 6 hrs. BBW has hit a home run with this one and there is nothing old fashioned about this scent! There is just the right amount of sweetness incorporated into the sexy smokiness with a little cedar in the background. For the price, you can't go wrong if you like smoky scents. Love it! 8/10

I have to say I actually kinda like this one. Reminds me of the illegitimate love child of Instant Crush by Mancera and PDM Kalan. Now I must say that I have not spent a ton of time with it, I only tried the lotion on skin and the perfume on paper, so this is only a very initial opinion. I do however keep getting whiffs of it and quite like it where I wasn’t a huge fan of either Kalan nor Instant Crush.

This fragrance is intoxicating to me. Everyone mentions a smokey note but nobody mentions the subtle leather note that’s not listed that I keep smelling. The bottle is simplistic elegance & the sprayer is as good as any on the market. The price for this posh scent is shockingly low! Go get some & tell them Bryant from Fragrantica sent you! LOL
