Sunwashed Santal

not sure why this is so underrated, but i absolutely love this scent. it's not what i usually go for, gourmands, but this is so beautiful and i think it would work for a wide age range too. on first spray, if you're just getting a passing whiff, i guess i can see the comparison to iridescent pink gas station soap (which personally, i love the smell of), but i wouldn't say this smells like that. initially, it's a touch sharp and powdery, like clean laundry, but there's an addictive underlying sweetness from the amberwood that pulls vanillic without being gourmand--it's the kind of ozonic sweetness from b&bw's "cashmere" note, if that helps. after a while of wearing it, the amberwood gets richer and sweeter, with soft powdery notes from the violet, and the bergamot largely disappears.to me, this is a year-round scent that could be unisex (although leans feminine) and would suit anyone 20+ years old. it might not appeal to younger audiences, but i think it's beautiful. performance-wise, it's about average for a mist, but better than you'd expect from a clean scent. also, this isn't as linear as other b&bw fragrances, which i love

Genuinely really pretty sandalwood scent for so cheap. Just comforting and versatile, I suppose it is a laundry scent but a really pleasant one that I don't mind at all wearing as a skin fragrance. "Sunwashed Santal" feels like a good name because it just feels like the this warm, sunny, sweet, blanketing combo of light woods, musk, citrus, and florals, that aren't too sweet (trust me, I am not a fan of BBW sugar-loading every scent). Very cozy but still something I'd wear to a beach. Hadn't heard of this scent at all beforehand and so it was one of the first BBW scents I gravitated towards without any prior influence or bias. I'm very glad I found it and snagged it at such a low price!

This smells amazing. It's a creamy ambery only slightly sweet almost musky scent. It would pair well with vanilla perfumes but I'm so obsessed I bought the matching body wash and lotion. Out of the 3 "fresh" White Barn scents released, this was my fave. Can be worn all year round imo.

This works as a perfect base for Lost in Santal. I guess it's like the missing notes from Lost in Santal blend together to get closer to Santal 33. Such a beautiful soft, powdery, woody violet.

I have this in sanitizer form, I love it! I wish I could've gotten it as the spray; I'd love to layer this with other musky fragrances. The violet is very pronounced, it's great!

Smells really cozy, like a soft amber with a slight sweet/floral note to it..almost a little powdery. I'm not huge on body sprays but this one isn't overpowering or sickly-sweet and it was only $5 with their mid-year sale so I grabbed it. I actually like it quite a lot! Projection and sillage aren't great, lasts as a skin scent around 4-6 hours. Good for lazy days around the house

It is so effortlessly wearable. I find myself spraying it often. The nature of it being such a clean, laundry like scent means that its a safe choice no matter wear you go. Not too sweet... not too powdery... not too much of anything. Just perfectly balanced

So slept on! A great cheapie. Definitely recommend testing if you are looking for something inexpensive, but are not into the typical Bath & Body Works types of fragrances.

Anyone remember Rice Flower and Shea from Bath & Bath Works? This is exactly what it smells like and I’m here for it.

this one is a bit of a doozy. she’s very volatile— sometimes she smells great and sometimes she doesn’t. i was hoping that this would be a nice, simple sandalwood-ish scent. this is not her. the “amber wood” is very strong, and gives it a sweet, wooden, almost caramel smell. sugarcoated wood. then the bergamot hits at odd times, and with the slight powderiness of the violet, it’s reminiscent of that pink pearlescent gas station hand soap. you know what i’m talking about? the kind that’s always dripped onto the counter and looks like watered down, sparkly pink syrup? i don’t mind the sweet wood smell, but i am not a fan of gas station hand soap and thus i quite literally never wear this.

The BBW, VS & to a lesser degree PINK SAS’s have ruined me for any of their other sales. Note: beware VS & PINK SAS Body Care moisturizers & Mists ... the bad news is that even if you start your online shopping as soon as the SAS starts, if you haven’t personally smelled it for yourself & recently (same packaging check, or just check by packaging how long it’s been stored, shelved) winter SAS all the stuff they were getting rid of because of holiday packaging was absolutely fine BUT full size PINK body oil & matching deodorant in lavender vanilla was a nightmare. The oil literally smelled like old cooking oil without the faintest trace of scent at all & the deodorant was one of those vintage type plastic ball rollers that get stuck sometimes only this one was perma stuck, on the VS side I was excited to get starlit bare vanilla mist & cream & the packaging was uber luxe with bronze hued metal components on both the mist cap & the cream cap... colors so beautiful & the iridescent glitter really did its thing BUT I slathered the lotion thinking that I could somehow get some scent from it to no avail & sprayed 20-25% of the spray & I got the most pathetically faint hint of something but only with my nose against my skin - no even a skin scent - I so badly wanted to love it, still the prettiest non Indy, niche body product packaging I will likely ever see in my life. The good news though is that VS customer service is so much better than BBW which can be fine so long as the rep knew how to solve the issue- if it didn’t fit in a box- I was lied to multiple times that a supervisor would contact me for some resolution which has never happened not even once - seeing as how all are under the very same umbrella corp you would think their resolutions would be similar but no dice. I asked the VS & PINK rep to please send me a return label & maybe note my account as I would really like for someone to smell for themselves & not take my word for it but they weren’t into all that. They gave me a credit for the items & a small credit for my birthday. I will continue to do business with all 3

I don’t understand the review about the gas station bathroom soap because this smells amazing. It is like a laundry scent but slightly sweet. It’s so beautiful and elevated. I would say it could even be unisex. It smells amazing in the body cream as well. The violet and woody notes together are stunning

This one has got a lot of potential, but there is something that makes it flat. Not sure if it lacks or has too much of whatever it is. Like soda that’s lost all its fizz. I think it has to do with the violet note. Nothing about this resembles Missing Person. Much closer to Oud Satin Mood.

This smells like clean fabric, and it does maintain an even sweetness throughout the scent. I personally like that. It smells like violet, light woods, and smooth and clean, wool fabric.

i dont get pink gas station soap lol this reminds me of a woodier version of missing person (phlur) and without a trace (finery). i've been into skin musk scents lately and i love this!

Nothing too compelling but SUCH A FANTASTIC BASE. I was just recently into layering, this one’s amazing for vanilla scents.
