Citrus Amber Perfume Oil

base of this leans more vanilla-y than amber, but I still like it even though I normally find vanilla overpowering. top note smells like the fainter, softer scent of mandarin oranges soaked in water, more so than the sharpness of the clementine you can get in the store (like the cuties). overall it's uplifting yet soft. i was looking for a fragrance that i could put on before doing chores or tasks that i normally would procrastinate on / avoid (like adhd aromatherapy lol) and this in the oil feels like the perfect thing, it's opening, centering, and hopeful - perfect for making dishes or paperwork more exciting :) edit: the lingering amber middle notes became too cocooning to me after a while.

This is a really pretty scent, to me it smells like a soapy grapefruit. It’s refreshing and easy to wear. As you’d expect from an oil, it sits close to the skin.

Purchased the discovery set, so I'll be trying five of the six fragrances. This smells like an expensive citrusy shampoo or soap. All of the fragrance notes are there, but the amber is quite subtle. There is also a fresh/green fragrance that reminds me of cucumbers. The overall effect is fresh-from-the-shower clean, rather than "perfumed." After about 2 hours, all I smell is the amber. It's still soft and subtle, but all of the fresh citrus is gone. Pretty, but the amber alone is not for me.

This has a nice, generically citrusy scent to it. After a while it becomes slightly plasticky on my skin, like a vinyl shower curtain right out of the package. Not a lot of projection or longevity, but it's a cheap Target product.
