Iconic Oud

Iconic Oud is one of those few combinations of rose, saffron and oud that made me literally fall in love. I would define it as a gala evening oud, so elegant is it, without the animalic overtones that sometimes distinguish it and which do not make it lose the personality it has, and I have fallen madly in love with this side of it. Beautiful, that's all I can say, on the wishlist.

Wow I feel like my smell is hypersensitive with this one. Maybe it's me today, or my perfume experience, or the perfume being super well done but I feel every single note in this pyramid (apart from the jasmine which is maybe just a bit overpowered.) Fresh geranium - there. Rose - absolutely. Oud - yes very present, not overpowering, not skanky, but very woody and a touch rubbery leathery. Leather - there. Saffron - adding that medicinal fragrant spiciness. Musk maybe not so present but it is there too, not animalic, more chemical in a way but in a good way. Like pheromoney. Vanilla sweetens it all up. It's really powerful perfume, I think it's definitely special occasion, not sure i could wear this day to day.

Starts with the burst of spices: peppery notes (which I guess is geranium) and some saffron. Also lots of musky rose in the background. The oud is not very animalic here, but somewhat sour on my skin.

Un très bon parfum l'ouverture me rappelle Koloff Royal Oud mais ce dernier est plus léger. Iconic Oud dure toute la journée son sillage rempli toute une pièce. Ce parfum est vraiment hors du commun.
