602 Bois Narcotique Intense

Sampling Bon Parfumeur 602 Bois Narcotique Intense, released in 2024 as part of the extrait line, a woody, spicy, fresh, green and mossy blend that has notes of black pepper, patchouli, vetiver, woods, and berries. It’s nuanced and green woods first, a bit vaguely reminiscent of Tom Ford Vert des Bois but a little more multifaceted with the spicy aspects, though overall a little less dark than VDB. This is perhaps even more versatile and easygoing than Iris Cartagena (certainly) and Myrrh Shadow (pretty sure). I could even manage wearing it in very warm weather and having it still be quite pleasant, an aspect not likely shared by the abovementioned entries. It’s a winning formula, a varied but wooded-centered blend that is not so defined by one particular note or category. This is extrait concentration and priced at $220/70 for 100/15ml, sold in the US via the house website and great boutiques like Perfumology. As with the other entries in the extrait line that I’ve tried recently, the value here is strong, the performance very good, and the option of the 15ml bottle size really exceptional, even if it shouldn’t be, as a middle ground between a sample size and a “full” bottle size of 50ml or greater. 8 out of 10

My second favourite scent from Les Extraits, after Myrrh Shadow. Bois Narcotique Intense is a resinous, warm spicy, fruity perfumes with a ambery patchouli base. It’s an interesting one because it has an alluring combination of neroli, crisp, green apple, olibanum and pimento. It’s so many different notes mixed together that creates a delicious blend. It’s very easy reach and mass appealing scent, fairly versatile as far as seasons go and unisex. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a fresh resinous perfume, with a classic French accent.

Reviewing a sample from 2024. 602 was launched in 2024. A beautiful aromatic wood fragrance. 602 opens with fresh peppery notes in a cloud of incense followed by vetiver and cedar wrapped in mossy amber. Resinous in the long lasting dry down. Well blended. Marketed to both men and women but that may be a stretch as it is clearly masculine. Quality- very good Masculine Performance- excellent ( this is the Intense version) Overall a quality vetiver forward classy fragrance for men. 8/10

This thing is sharp! Nose stingingly so. Not my jam. But not unpleasant either. 2/5 Reminds me of Elysium and creed Aventus a bit. If you like those two. You might like this twist with the extra spice. Not for me. Too sharp and personally gives me headache due to the sharpness. Just get aventus i’d say. It does the dna better

Smells like an elevated version of a generic male frag. I think it would smell nice on a man it seems rather dated, reminds me of 2010 scents, rather sterile, boring...

Well done fragrance for those who appreciate this old-school kind of scent. This smells like how all of the men my dad's age smelled in church when I was a kid.

Do you ever test a fragrance and as soon as you spray the scent strip you immediately know that it must banished from your life immediately? For me, its this Bois Narcotique, which neither smells much like wood nor is it narcotic, unless inducing nausea and drawing out rage is considered as such nowadays. This is much like that brides' saying "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." Something old is just that generic shaving cream accord that has haunted mainstream men's fragrances for at least 40 years. Something new is that assault of singeing aromachems that is now the inescapable component of contemporary mainstream men's fragrances. Something borrowed—the same tired Aventus trope that the perfume industry has riding on for sixteen years now. Something blue, because yes—after all is said and done, it's just another one: alien-cold "lime"-and-"bergamot"-citrus, amberwoods, ambroxan, and no soul. Get this shit away from me.

I got this sample as a freebie with some others I bought and I can see why. This was my first scrub (although the ghost of it remains even after a wash with soap and a scrub with a coffee scrub). For one brief shining moment it smelled like hot dad but it went almost immediately into the most generic "masc cologne" it could be without actually being Axe. I'm pretty sure a teen boyfriend wore way too much of something similar. I have a strong scent memory of adolescent sweat and uniform polo that I can taste.

As usual , very nice fragrance from this house . In the same category of creed aventus abs, sauvage elixir, loewe7 cobalt . Very masculine, a touch old school with modernity . Perfect for office or formal event . If you have already smelled loewe7 cobalt , imagine a more woody version of this 9/10
