Greenpoint

I probably have ten Bond No 9s and this may be my favorite. An extremely wearable and enjoyable floral-aquatic. The top notes come and go quickly; I get more of a fresh lemony-citrus than pear and really no cardamom. Its middle notes that shine, a beautiful, slightly seaweed forward marine note with a backdrop of mixed florals. This is by far the best blend of marine and florals that I have come accross. The marine notes stay around for the dry down to be blended with musk and maybe a hint of amber. I do not really detect the other notes mentioned in the dry down. I am a lover of marine scents and this has quickly risen towards the top as a kinder version of Black Sea.

Very sweet aquatic green. Cantaloupe, marjoram, pear, and more than a bit of Rabanne-style bubblegum make for a modern yet viscerally pleasing profile. Greenpoint has above average staying power but it's stupid expensive for something that would otherwise be a decent daily driver. I would not be surprised if this had been a rejected prototype for a celebrity fragrance. Which celeb? IDK, but they would be young, inoffensive, and androgynous were such an individual to exist.

I hate when reviews on here are overly persuaded by price over substance but it’s unavoidable here. $470 is ridiculous especially for a bottle this size. That being said, I absolutely love this scent and ran to eBay to buy some sample bottles. The opening is subdued oceanic sweetness but gets sweeter and sweeter as it drys down. It’s truly unisex and could be anyone’s signature spring/summer scent (it would be ridiculous to not be signature scent at that price point).

Dolce Amalfi’s sexy, androgynous slightly older sibling. I have an absolutely obnoxious variety of fragrances and few of them satisfy my dopamine needs. I am half sorry I even looked this up because I don’t want to be negatively influenced by others’ opinions or a breakdown of notes. I am obsessed and want to remain blissfully, madly and ignorantly in love.

It smells good but I want to return it because the performance kinda let me down as goes for all bond no 9... well majority.... Idk , maybe I’ll keep it to macerate and just have it in my collection . But the scent is captivating

Honestly, this fragrance has so much going on that you'd feel it to be overwhelming but everything works so well together, each note is pure bliss with every smell of this fragrance

Smells very similar to Eau des Merveilles Bleue Hermès. Breezy sweet aquatic , what is not to love ❤️ this one lasts longer and projects better.

Greenpoint The opening in Greenpoint is similar to that of Beekman, however there is no spice present. Greenpoint starts off with pear, bergamot, and cardamon. The cardamom does not give the same level of spice as the black pepper in Beekman. Also, I am on my rose kick so I notice its presence immediately. I am not sure what pimento leaf smells like, so I cannot speak on it. Within 10 minutes, the florals begin to set in and blend nicely with the top notes. There is a white floral that is a little punchy and overwhelming, but it works well to balance the rest of the notes AND that is what separates it from Beekman. Sandalwood, amber, cedar, musk and moss are all present in the dry down. While typical, and redundant, those notes are also very reliable. I tend to flock to fragrances that have 4 out of 7 of my favorite notes in the dry down, and have yet to be let down. Greenpoint is a unisex fragrance, but it most certainly leans feminine in my honest opinion. It is definitely mass appealing and a safe blind buy if you like the notes. I normally say get a sample and let me know what you think, in this case, go get Beekmen. Its better. In my writeups, I prefer not to talk about cost. Most fragrances are too expensive at retail, but between the gray market and second hand “buy and release” options, price is totally subjective. With all due respect, this has minimal resemblance to Blue Talisman and zero to Greenley as far as I'm concerned. The closest fragrance that it resembles, in my mind, is LV's Cactus Garden. I was able to get one spray off of a tester at Niemann Marcus and wasn't blown away but thought, there's something to this I like. A couple weeks later, I found it for a tremendous price and pulled the trigger. Never had any intention of owning Greenpoint but I must say, I'm quite happy with this purchase. It's very green, clean and the dry down is where this shines. It may not blow anyone away or garner compliments but it's a fragrance you wear for yourself. This scent is uplifting and provides a sense of well being which is why I primarily enjoy it. I do believe it's blind buy safe but always a good idea to sample first, especially at this price point. Green, vibrant, juicy, fresh, and salty! A very charming marine scent; not a “dive into the sea” kind, but a “watch the sea from within nature and sip something” atmosphere. Perfect for lifting the spirits. Clean white florals lend a wind-blown air. I’m not usually into Bond No. 9, but this one genuinely changed my mind. With this, I’m swept to the Mediterranean coast (never been to Greenpoint): The salt level is ideal, the marine note is never harsh, and the green facet stays balanced. I normally sprint away from fresh scents, but the freshness here makes me close my eyes and relax instead. I loved it; FBW!

A nice Green and Fruity Pear/citrus combo with a smooth salty/marine musk vibe and some sweet rose florals and ambery vibes.I also get a nice but very brief Peppery/spicy feel which complements these flavors nicely. Definitely gets sweeter and gourmand the longer you wear it I’ve noticed although starting out fresh and green. A sneaky aquatic/marine scent riding under a green pear, musky and slight gourmand facade. Solid and unique blend of scents. Average performance but a great scent to my nose.

When I spray this, I smell a mixture of oceanic notes, mixed with rose/floral notes, and finally a fruity note. It can be quite feminine leaning over unisex, but I don't mind wearing it either way. It is still a very nice scent. But boy does this thing last long on clothes. I sprayed it while wearing a sweatshirt, fast forward to me doing laundry a few days later and I could still smell Greenpoint on it. Definitely enjoyed this.

You don't hear much about this one but it is phenomenal. A very unique scent that garners compliments and is so enjoyable to wear. I don't see the comparison to Blue Talisman as it does its own thing but it's just as good. It's just a feel good, green scent that is uplifting and one that any collector should attempt to add to their collection.

I love how this opens, the mid kind of reminds me of LV Meteore however, the dry down kind of suck and gives a lotion type of smell. It’s lasts a long time but if it rode out the opening for the entire longevity of the fragrance then I’d be fully onboard.

Pear in a bottle. Loud and delicious 4/5

Fresh, fruity, floral fragrance that reminds me more of Blue Talisman by Ex Nihilo with the sweet pear than Greenley's green apple shampoo. Squarely unisex in the opening. As it dries down, it begins to smell feminine to me as the fruits fade and you are left with sweet florals. Best for spring and summer, casual settings. Smells pleasant but not what I was hoping it would be. Definitely too expensive at MRSP of +$450. If you are looking for a modern masculine woody-aquatic fragrance from Bond No. 9, check out Beekman Place, which smells fantastic and can be purchased for about $150 on the grey market. Scent: 6.5/10 - Smells nice, not my style and not very memorable Bottom Line: If you like Greenley: try Beekman Place (They don't smell the same but more your style) If you like Blue Talisman: try Greenpoint (More fruity floral than marine)

Greenpoint is an interesting take on the aquatic theme, one that is not overtly aquatic at all, more of a subtle nautical theme overridden by this strange green attack. At first I thought I was smelling angelica, as it felt green, bitter and herbal yet slightly sweet. It’s that contrast between the pear, white florals and green notes, backed up against an aquatic accord which just makes the scent feel too busy to me. It’s not unpleasant by any means, but I don’t find it impressive or even that enjoyable. This house has failed time and time again to present me with anything of interest.

Straight out the bottle, it's pretty nice stuff. Much more green than any yards or gardens I smelled when I lived in Greenpoint. After about 20 minutes, the musk really starts coming through and it starts smelling a little too sweet. ANything more than just a bit of musk doesnt mix with my own skin scent, so it starts to get a bit much. You know what ISN'T a bit much? the price. It's a LOT much. Way overpriced unless you're really looking for something heavy and sweet. Bond Beekman is similar but much more subtle and less in your face.

Tried it today blind, thought the fruits smelled good. It something kept smelling off to me and I didn’t know what. Now looking at the notes I can tell it’s the marine/sea notes that were throwing me off. If that wasn’t in it I’d like it because I can’t stand marine/sea/calone notes

Fresh, aquatic and green. Not my cup of tea. I find it unisex, leaning masculine. I’m very picky in marine, citrus scents and this is a no for me. Too basic.

No thank you. Big fan of Bond No 9. I got a sample and at first I thought the pear smelled nice but 5 minutes later and the remains of the scent , which is quite powerful, it’s just marine/ozone notes that have nothing to do with green point. Just a beach scent but Fire Island was way better and jones beach is much nicer than this . This is like Bond’s recent island fragrance. I thought marine ozone notes were discontinued in the late 90s.

This fragrance is one for the books and checks off all the boxes for me as one who prefers loud long lasting fragrances. It starts off fresh and cool and in the top smells like Ex Nihilo's beloved Blue Talisman, however that does not last. You get the marine notes in the middle and towards the end you get every last one of the bottom notes which on my skin smells like a strong citrus. It smells exactly like Gritti's Pomelo Assoluto at that point. The fragrance is in fact long lasting and you will smell on your skin through a shower. Performance is not an issue with this fragrance. If you love long lasting loud fragrances this would be one to check out, it never gets overwhelming, however some may find the ending cloying as it stays linear at the end and does not move. As a woman I'd wear it and feel for a woman who likes unisex fragrances this can be pulled off. If I ever see it for less than $470 I'd pick it up for sure, maybe I can find it next summer or so. This is a good one in my opinion.

There are a dozen solid discounters that sell Bond No 9 for $100-300, depending on the bottle. For instance, Riverside Drive is $114 on Joma right now. If your review must include complaining about the original retail you'd pay at Bond No 9, you're just doing this all wrong. I digress.....this is a wonderful, bright fragrance that doesn't lean on vanilla (thank you) or being overly sweet (double thank you). The pear definitely gives it a sweeter note, but not sugar sweet like most other Bond No 9. It's well balanced and the dry down turns to a wonderful musky/floral/leafy tone that makes me feel like I'm walking outside. I'm trying not to compare this to Greenley, because that's just lazy. But I can't lie that the similarity was enough to make me think of it. I'm not sure I need both Greenley and Greenpoint in my collection, but if/when I run out of Greenley, I wouldn't think twice to replace it with Greenpoint and give it a shot....of course, buying it from a discount retailer when I do.

Green is not my color nor my scent BUT, there are always exceptions to the rule and GREENPOINT is that exception. Love at first sniff and im so glad my skin and nose not like yalls lol because it beastly projects and radiates off my skin all day, 10/10 a recommend!!! And if you wanna play with it lol it pairs well with TF Rose prick 🌷😎

It's kind of a mash up of several Bond's. Has that sweet Marine element of New York Nights with a little bit of the Greenwich opening(the good part before it becomes a nauseating Baccarat interpretation). Also has a bit of Wall Street in the deep dry down the aquatic green musky aspect minus the salty seaweed. Not bad!

30yrs I lived in Greenpoint. In the late 70s all of the 80s and 90s and left in 2005. I had the best childhood friends ever. I have yet to smell this and I definitely can not wait. Hoping the Neiman Marcus by me gets it soon. Read the notes and I hope and pray it's a banger. Stay tuned family.

From the same perfumer that created Bond no. 9's Island released last year. One thing about Bond fragrances is their bottle designs tend to indicate whether they lean masculine or feminine. This one looks to be masculine.

I love bond number 9, but this one ain’t it. To my nose, it starts out fresh and fruity, but on my skin it dries down to a sticky syrup, rotting fruity nauseating mess. It’s a no for me.

I’ve smelt something like this before but I don’t know what it was. Super fresh and quite green, the rose is nice in it as well, very unisex

Nice green freshie perfect for the spring. The price at $475 is absolutely disrespectful. Not worth it
