Musc X

I can’t even explain with words how in love I am with this perfume. I’m not much of a skin scent person, really, but this did something different to me brain. I go to bed almost every night with this and I make sure to spray it on my pillows as well. It feels salty but sweet at the same time and I literally want to drink it. It scratches something in my brain that needed to be scratched for a long time. It also smells quite synthetic to my nose but I think that’s what I love about it. This also reminds of JHAG - Not A Perfume Superdose even though I only smelled it once when I was in the US. That one has cetalox and also carries a more “synthetic”, skin perfume vibe that I seem to appreciate a lot. I can’t get enough of Musc X and I love it so much that I want to wear it all the time and can not try my dozens of other decants. I don’t think I’ll ever get so sick of it either. If Not A Perfume and Superdose are what androids smell like, Musc X is what the Megan Fox android in Subservience smelled like. Sexy, warm, sweet and artificial. But I mean that in a good way. A few of these from this new launch had my attention, but Musc X seemed right up my alley and I’m so happy with it. Cotton candy is the note that made me want this. It literally is Superdose sweetened by cotton candy. BORNTOSTANDOUT has an idea about what warm sugar smells like to them. The same sweetness that’s present in this is also there in Oud Candy and Sugar Addict, but I like it here the most. Creating a fantasy note must be so interesting! I love their take on sugar. It has a depth to it that I really like. And I know these are EDTs, but I got this, sprayed it, showered and could STILL smell it on me after I got out (that’s my ultimate longevity test) my skin was just clean and sweet. Such a love.

The projection is no joke. I live in a 4 story townhouse with my parents. Do a little spray (2 sprays specifically), delay, walk away from my bathroom on 1 then head to 2 to make myself breakfast. My mom is coming down from stairs of 3, fully across the room from me and goes is that your perfume I'm smelling? I'm like holy shit, maybe? She described it as good, musky and spicy. Admittedly she has a sensitive nose but I've definitely been smelling it all day. I was personally worried about the cotton candy note but I haven't really gotten it? Its just been this nice, genderneutral maybe leaning femme very musky scent. There's a bit of sweetness, maybe thats the cotton candy? I'm always looking for perfect sexy/slutty scents for when I'm doing burlesque and this will definitely be in my rotation

I blind bought this and Gold Juice and this is the winner. I get a bit of incense, cotton candy and musk. It’s unique and out of my huge collection and everything I’ve tried, I’ve never smelled anything like this. It does not smell like Pacifica Island Vanilla (as suggested), that one smells like frosting to me and this one has no vanilla frosting smell. Maybe slightly similar to Absolute Aphrodisiac but this one is actually not as sweet and vanillic- instead more musky. I also dont get BR540, which I can’t stand so that’s good. You’d have to try it for yourself though as I can see it being very polarizing. You must love musk and at least a little incense.

Oh wow.. this is everything. Cotton candy is one of my favorite notes and this is exactly what I’ve always wanted from a cotton candy fragrance. It’s clean, musky and sugary without being overly sweet or juvenile. There’s a softness to it that feels elevated rather than playful. On the dry down it reminds me a lot of Noyz Only Human which happens to be one of my favorite skin scents which makes me love it even more. It has that intimate, musky warmth that sits close to the skin in the most addictive way. I ordered a 30ml to start but I already know I’ll be upgrading to the 100ml. This is the kind of scent I can see myself reaching for constantly.
