Cashmere Kush

I adore this fragrance! It truly smells just like the name, like a high-quality cashmere blanket and a freshly opened 1/8th from a fancy dispensary. It is warm, cozy, and intriguing. The cannabis note is quite prominent, which some may be averse to, but I personally love it. The performance is just strong enough to be noticeable without being overbearing, though it isn't incredibly long lasting. It is very lightly floral and preserves a bit of the classic rhubarb BoySmells DNA. This is a year-round fragrance for me, it could work in any season, for any gender, at any time of day. This isn't necessarily a crowd-pleaser, but if you're looking for a light, fresh, and cozy cannabis perfume at a good price point, this is a perfect perfume for you! 8.5/10 for me overall! (Side note: I had some unfortunate issues with the packaging, the label was peeling off, the atomizer was put on wonky, and after a few months of owning it, the beautiful glass cap on the bottle cracked! I believe it may have been from heat or changing temperatures, but it's still unfortunate to see such a beautiful, artful bottle break!)

This was a blind buy, and I was a bit nervous after seeing some so-so reviews. However, I love this scent so much. For me, it really radiates rhubarb on my skin, and I'm guessing cashmere wood which smells like a lovely fresh cedar and almost lends a smoky note. There's a hint of cannabis, but just enough to make it interesting.(My husband works in a medical grow so I am very familiar with those notes (and FYI: this plant in its fresh on the stem state is a much different smell for those of you who haven't experienced it)), but at least on me, it barely makes an appearance in the notes. It's both comforting and fresh with a slightly herbal twist. I think it's truly unisex, as it smells woody but not overpowering, fresh, and comforting.I feel super sexy wearing this fragrance, but i also think it's appropriate for daily wear due to its lightness. i'm glad I took a chance on this one!

I got this when the collection launched because I was a huge fan of the candle. It's spot on to the original product - sparkling, peppery, aldehylic opening, light floral notes, and a cozy, musk-and-ambroxan base that smells like that bougie dispensary that looks like an Apple store with the impossibly cool budtenders that kind of intimidate you. This is a love or hate scent and not safe for blind buying. I certainly wouldn't wear it to a business meeting or going to the bank. My only other complaint would be that, like other candle-to-perfume pivots, there's a lack of a story to the fragrance; what you see in the notes is pretty much what you get, beginning middle and end.

I want to review this, but honestly, @spamchow took the words right out of my mouth. It *is* a bougie dispensary, the kind that sells Edie Parker disposables and $400 glass bowls. It smells slightly leathery on me as well, like I have a fancy, floral preroll tucked in my purse. It's definitely not a blind buy, but the cozy musk dry down makes the fragrance more approachable and rounds out the experience. I've been layering it with Glossier You to create an edgy yet wearable day-to-day scent. This is my first of the Kush line, but I'm excited to try the others.

Think of Grandfather coming out of his study for the night. It smells like luxury tobacco pipe smoke trapped in the fibers of an expensive wool sweater. It tells me a comforting story and is very bold.

this perfume blew me away when i had it in 2022. I wish BS would bring it back :(

cashmere kush is a powdery, musky fragrance that smells both a bit clean and earthy simultaneously. opening can be a little strong on the aldehydes and cannabis notes but that quickly becomes subdued. eventually melts into a cozy, lightly woody scent. easy to throw on and a unique light wear - almost like a grungy take on a plain white tee fragrance. while the cannabis note isn’t intense it’s enough that i wouldn’t wear it to the office. boy smells fragrances can be a hit or miss but this one may be my favorite, definitely my favorite from the kush line at least. the fragrance does a good job of capturing the essence of the candle of the same name without making you feel like you’re wearing a candle (i find this isn’t always the case with them - for me i love hinoki fantome and marble fruit in their candle form but not the perfumes) similar experience to the review below regarding quality control. i received mine with the label slightly peeling, wonky atomizer (more of a stream than a mist), and after having it awhile the glass cap cracked (cracks are all inside, no jagged glass to the touch.) i bought mine last summer so maybe a batch issue considering my other bottle from them had none of these issues. no issues with the juice and the bottle is still usable but still maybe worth noting!

The opening is as unique as I've smelled in a fragrance. I have spent more than six years living and working in India in an official capacity. The scent that hits me on open reminds me of walking into someone's kitchen, someone's pooja room, temple-side markets, and insular villages... dupa incense and spices, at least for the first 30ish minutes. Dry down reminds me of a more powdery Another 13, leaning feminine. However, once it drys down, it parks in the same spot as A13. So - at least on my skin - call it Another Another 13, with a more interesting journey to the destination. ETA: Smelled it on my wife's skin and the cannabis note really does come through on her skin - ripe, mature leaves and the nondescript terpenes of a flowering plant - whereas the cannabis note didn't make so much as a cameo appearance on mine.

I got this perfume for my partner and we both really liked it! I was surprised by how mixed the reactions are for this one. I felt like it was the perfect mix of florals, spice, herbs, linen scents and musk. I especially love how the pink pepper notes smell, it pairs wonderfully with the florals and musk. The only thing that we were both disappointed in was that there definitely wasn't any cannabis smell in this that we could pick up on. So the name is definitely a bit misleading. All in all though, this is a great masculine leaning gender neutral fragrance.

Bought this for my son. I had gifted him a boy smells discovery set for Christmas. He picked this as his favorite. It smells great on him. I sent him a package of the full bottle and a candle and he recently received it. He was thrilled because he forgot how much he loved it until he sprayed it again. I would say focus on the base notes. I’m not a fan of the top notes but I really like this fragrance.

almost bought this from someone off my fb marketplace and while it’s such a cool scent, it probably wouldn’t swing at the office...! the rhubarb in the opening is sharp and tangy, but unfortunately the dry down on my skin is veryyy reminiscent of cannabis (flower?),,, i don’t smoke but i think if i did, this would be so warm and cozy, kind of like wrapping yourself up in your partner’s blanket they keep in their car while they smoke. the cannabis does eventually start to mellow out into something less controversial but there is a lingering subtle whiff i still find myself catching. such a work of art, though!

this opens smelling quite synthetic and aldehydic. i get a ton of a soft/white musk with cashmere wood, ambroxan and a bit of pink pepper. i get something bright way in the background which i think might be the tulip. orris gets stronger over time and improves things a bit. i get a slight pencil shaving thing too, but not too strong. it's basically a light woody musk. it smells very modern. i do like this one the best out of the sample set, at the same time i don't find it to be all that interesting.

Interesting scent. I get an initial citrus - cannabis blend with pepper showing after a while. This type of scent isn't for me, but I very much appreciate any fragrance that isn't typical and doesn't smell like most options out there.

immediately after drydown it smelled like being at the dentist. 15 mins later i wasn't getting dentist but it was sort of an unremarkable warm perfume. lasted a whole shift though!

I bought it and I am glad I bought it but I wouldn't buy it again. It is sooooo powdery and dry, like that incredibly stuffy and warm sweater your grandmother bought you that you hate wearing. Not the itchy kind, just heavy and overwhelming, like a big thick cable knit. There is no levity to the perfume, nothing to offset the orris and cashmere, it's all just very cloying and old. As others have said, it does have that dusty, dry, unmoving quality of stale antique store air. Such a disappointment for me since I love everything else I have gotten from Boy Smells. I am glad also, that it does not last very long. Despite the orris, which is usually find to be a long lasting note, the perfume gets down to the blonde wood base pretty quickly and then dissipates completely after about 6-ish hours.

This smells exactly like my mother in a nearly traumatic way - she was a strict AP English Lang teacher who wore Chanel No. 5 (exclusively but occasionally) and graded papers out in the patio every night with a glass of white wine with ice cubes, a couple Marlboro Light 100s, and an ancient acrylic-blend Pink Sweater that will probably outlive me (it’s in the linen closet; ‘here, it is the beating of his hideous heart!’). Aldehydic, vetiver, smoky, haunted sweater. Scent memory is fascinating, she died in 2018 and yet at the first sniff of my sample vial I was back in high school, hoping the other kids who wouldn't talk to me didn’t see me stuck in her room after school and praying she wouldn’t chew me out too bad for getting a B on a calculus quiz. I can’t wear this, but dang, what a ride.

Such a disappointment. I knew it was a risky buy since people seemed to either really love or hate it. In my head it had potential to be a beautiful skin scent as some recommended it as, and the notes seemed really intriguing. However all I get is cannabis and old dusty antique store vibe. Personally that's not how I want to smell. I was expecting slight soapiness from the aldehydes, but there's nothing clean about this fragrance. I couldn't wear it long enough to figure out the longevity or even the base notes. I'll try to give it another chance but it's not gonna be easy.

If, and it's a big if, I could get past the initial screechy synthetic and cloyingly sweet rhubarb smell, then I would get to the lightly peppery warm musk smell beneath and I might enjoy it. Like a more intense 'You' or 'Not A Perfume' which are both also fairly synthetic smelling (I don't mind either btw) but softer and warmer smelling. I don't get cannabis or patchouli, just a fairly unremarkable and overly sweet skin scent. Not for me at all.

I had a sample of this - took one spray, wrinkled my nose and immediately gave it away. I don’t mind the smell of cannabis but I don’t want to smell like it. The initial blast was too much for me to hang around and find out how it settled. I sprayed another perfume over the top of it, and it was never detected again - hurrah!

Barely tolerated this scent before, has now developed into a white musky aldehyde bomb that devolves into a strong “sweaty foot” aroma into the dry down. Will leave my bottle in a public space for anyone curious to find.
