Seplasia – Pure Essence

Love the review from AveParfum! It was disconcerting to read something that so perfectly describes my own experience with Seplasia - although I have the oil and not the edp spray she reviewed (however the oils and the edp have an identical composition) Incidentally, this oil doesn't have the typical BA mushroomy beginning that the Musc and Inranzol oils have. I have both a sample of Seplasia oil and a full bottle but they are from different batches and although, like AveParfum I find the tuberose noticeable at first in the sample (although never too much) this note does not stand out at all in my FB - which meant I liked the FB even more than the sample! I noticed (in the 40 years of BA article on this site) that BA does say that since their perfumes are made in small batches, there will be variations from batch to batch. Based on my experience with Seplasia this is worth bearing in mind ...

Rosewood, and tuberose. The mildly sweet rosewood and that creamy ylang tuberose blend is charming. It has that red sharp roses within but in minimal doses that keeps the nose itch away and softens it with that white floral blend. Geranium, citrus, and violets are there, but the musk isn't there that much and i wonder why the vote of it to be the dominant! it's NOT the dominant note at all! And thank GOD vetiver isn't there, it would've ruined the scene. This is a strong blend with red roses and rosewood base.

Seplasia was nearly my perfect perfume, when it starts, it was really lovely, pretty, dewy sweet floral bouquet makes me think of pink rose and a hint of gardenia and a tiny trace of clean non-aggressive jasmine. It reminds me one of the very popular baby facial cream in China, in the really early 1990s, before all the supermarket shelves are flooded with Johnson’s & Johnson’s. Somewhat it’s really pretty and nostalgic to me because the scent is nearly the same as the baby facial cream scent, which contributes to my early memories. However, about 20 minutes later, it changes to somewhat a creamy gardenia monotone. Somewhat it reminds me of the cult following of Kai oil, which I’m not a fan of. The dry down is pleasant, a less creamy, slightly more woody-powdery-sweet-quite-floral version of the above. Nice scent! However due to my loathe of big creamy white flowers, it’s not my cup-of-tea. Give it a try, maybe you’ll like it, especially the quality of oil, it’s superb. :)

I think the Bruno Acampora vibe is that certain someone you're intensely attracted to, someone who always smells subtly amazing; skin scents you may think come naturally but give a person a supernatural aura. Coconut-floral musk skin supernatural. I love applying it because the brief bright green opening is also such a pleasure. I enjoy every stage of wearing this. Drooling is never attractive, so be careful.
