Burberry Sport for Women

BEAUTIFUL!! As I've mentioned in other reviews...about 95% of my fragrances are blind buys. And I've gotta say, this is my favorite blind buy in several months. (I buy 2-6 fragrances a month). This scent is more easily "described" by adjectives and emotions as opposed to using actual "notes." This is one of the few fragrances where I cannot pick out individual notes and in this case, that's a good thing. It's best described as a sunny, happy, summer, "bright," type of perfume. Very properly named. This actually smells almost IDENTICAL to a fragrance by Gap called "Sunshine" which for some reason is not in this database. I ordered the 3.4 ounce bottle of "Sunshine" by Gap on Ebay about 2 months ago and I liked it but there was just something "missing" shall I put it. It was a definite like but something seemed to be missing and therefore keeping it from being a love in my collection. (Although the bright yellow packaging for that one matches the scent much better than this Burberry packaging.) Anyway, as I said, this smells almost identical but whatever was "missing" from Gap Sunshine...this one HAS! It smells like a more expensive, better quality version of Sunshine. This one smells somewhat citrusy, I can somewhat smell the ginger I think...Idk, as I said...not a case where specific notes jump out at you. They all just work in harmony to create the final product that is "Burberry Sport." And I am in love! I should also mention that I got 2 compliments on my 1st day wearing this. Smells amazing and oh! Did I mention that this is the very DEFINITION of unisex?! This smells amazing and sporty...but not "feminine." Its most definitely wearable by a man. Scent Itself - 9.5/10 Longevity - If light handed...you'll get moderate duration of 4 hours or so. If heavy handed...you can get 7 hours out of this one. Projection - Again. If light handed...moderate projection at arm's length. If heavy handed...you can extend that to 5 or 6 feet projection. I'm on the heavy handed side. =) Overall Score - 9.5/10 I LOVE THIS! SAFE BLIND-BUY FOR SURE! NOW ONTO BURBERRY SPORT FOR MEN....BURBERRY HAS GAINED MY CONFIDENCE WITH THIS ONE! 2 THUMBS UP!

I used up my sample then missed it. I think this one is a unique gem, so I got a small bottle... Burberry Sport is a happy, sunny fragrance. This one is a good example of a textured scent that goes beyond what nature has given and presents a new experience! My impression is of a cool, almost powder-sand, sweet orange-honeysuckle. The flowers mix with this powdered orange to produce a really nice uplifting and energetic scent. Would be a good spa scent. The florals are very apparent but to me, not realistic, almost like a fun cartoon impression that supports the queen powdered-sand citrus. Maybe it’s the solar notes? Smooth, clean, and honestly is VERY close match to a wonderful creamy Olay shea moisture body wash that I need to track down again because it was my favorite! What a great layering combo that would be.... As for sillage and longevity, I had someone compliment this scent about 4 hours later so even though I thought it was gone the air was lifting it around me! Big yes to this and glad I snagged a bottle since they are getting harder to find. I’m reaching for this in the early spring and summer.

As much as I like this perfume, the bottle is a ridiculous, clunky monstrocity! Why isn't is sleek and aerodynamic, like anything of a sporty nature ought to be? Had to get that off my chest. On with the review. I typically do not like citrus or aquatic scents. This isn't really either of those, but it is definitely clean. The salt note seems to trick the brain into thinking the perfume is fresh and juicy. It's akin to the fact that tasting salt would activate the salivary glands. I think it's extremely clever. I think a man could wear this because it's a rather androgynous, "sporty," scent. The musk is not overbearing in any way. I hesitate to call this a floral because it's so heavy on petit grain and mandarine. I can smell a touch of honeysuckle, but I don't detect any magnolia on my skin. Strangely, this comes as an EDT yet sillage is better than most Burberry EDPs.

What does this smell like to me? Dove foaming body wash- and I adore that smell! Take the sweet aspects of orange, none of the sour, and mix in smooth honeysuckle, then make it airy. Soft, soapy, sheer/clean flowery citrus clean feel, nicely blended, and has the nicest smoothing billowy feel to it. Unique and hard to describe. I didn't feel the salt screaming at me like I expected. The next stage is sweet, citrusy floral whisper- wish the first hour of this extended out, but it becomes a very soft and lovely skin scent after that, fading out at around 4 hours. For a Burberry, it didn't last as long as I expected, but very lovely, clean soft- soapy citrus perfume. Possibly unisex I would think, for people who enjoy Dove shower foam and would like to extend that scent into their day. I can see this being a fantastic, clean, inoffensive perfume for the workplace.

Lovely fragrance, I have an original 2010 bottle courtesy of my mother who didn't wear a lot of perfume and gave it to me. Smells like thin cotton scarves and has a very 'fresh morning air' kind of smell on my skin, or maybe the smell of the sky just before it begins to snow for the first time when very fresh. Projection really fades in the dry down though, it's still definitely there but much weaker after about 30 minutes on the skin, although on a direct sniff it's still very present. Mine also has a bit of a weak tobacco scent after a few hours but I think that might be either my skin or the fact it was my mother's and I associate her with the smell of tobacco. A really delightful scent, I'd say best suited for late summer into autumn or a late summer afternoon.

I recently bought this perfume and I must say: I really like it!!! It is a lighter version of a "normal" Burberry perfume, but still very nice and therefore more suitable for daily use instead of only for the evening or something special ;) I can understand why some of the reviewers think this is "too musculine", because it does smell a bit woody, but that's just what I like about this perfume. A strong femine perfume! Although I like this perfume very much, I don't really understand the "Sport" in it... Normally a sportive perfume smells very light and watery. This perfume doesn't smell like this at all. Maybe that's why I like it some much :D

This is my new favorite fragrance! I feel like a sophisticated girl whenever I have this on me! I feel so classy. I'm actually kind of surprised about the notes mentioned here. As soon as I spray it, I never get the notes mentioned. It smells more like musk and powder to me but in a very very distinct way. I hardly smell citrus or floral on me when I have this on. It has good sillage but when sprayed on three areas of your body it becomes overwhelming, the scent is so thick on me. One spray on each pulse is already too much often. Regardless, I will definitely repurchase.

Was walking around the local shoping center would be this time last year near to valatines day. A staff member from a pharmacy asking would i like to smell burberry sport when was on offer for 20 euro so i had a smell and fell deeply in love with it so got a bottle for my self. Then only to find out it had for women on the bottom i was so sure it was for guys by smelling it. But still love it that much i do continue to where it i just keep it hush hush its for ladies. Vary freash and yet glam and last a good while for the day ❤️

The only reason I have this fragrance in my collection is because it was my mother’s eldest sister’s gift to her years ago. She used this as her work scent. It was one of the things that made me smile when her belongings were slowly returned to us. Overall, I think it’s an absolute gem and I hope to smell more fragrances that remind me of this. It’s a heartwarming way to keep both my Tita and mother’s memory alive. Gone, but never forgotten. Apparently it’s true that perfumes are also a great memorabilia of a person you love.

Absolutely great! Light at first and it gets a little deeper as it settles on my skin. Sparkling and spicy at the same time. Interesting and delightful. I can only guess, but this might be my summerfavorite. The interesting thing is, that even I think BS-effect has gone, it's still there. For example, i spray perfume at 5:30 am, and my colleague still can smell it at 11:30 am. So all I can say, this is very lasting type of a fragrance. I just can't smell it, maybe my nose got used to this...

É un profumo molto femminile e di classe. Fiorito e fresco e, allo stesso tempo, intenso. Adoro le sue note agrumate. Quando lo indosso mi sento completa e sensuale. Ho ricevuto molti complimenti su questo profumo, inoltre è diventato il profumo preferito anche di mia sorella! Consiglio vivamente a tutte di testarlo per farvi rapire dalle sue meravigliose note. La persistenza è ottima, anche perché si tratta di un marchio di qualità. Perfetto per la bella stagione...

This is a lovely spicy citrus fragrance with a lingering herbaceous woodiness. The lemon is a bit salty and the spice is a bit gingery. To me this sits in between Dolce and Gabbana's light blue (for the citrus and wood) and Twilly d'Hermes for the ginger. This fragrance has a mix of sweetness and freshness which is delightful for the warmer weather. It's only flaw is longevity - this scent needs reapplication after a few hours. Highly recommended for summer day wear.

I had this one few years ago, and decided to purchase it again. I really do looove this one!! It smells so intriguing, fresh, and clean. The scent makes me happy and confident. I'm definitely a salty perfumes lover, so that explains it. I also have a small batch of Wood Sage & Sea Salt from Jo Malone, and they smell very much alike, with a big price difference. So, for everyone looking for a dupe, there you have it!

I have two bottles and am thinking of getting a third. This is easily a forever fragrance. To me, this is what Kate Winslet should smell like before she leaves her home in The Holiday. Just for a sweet, pretty, lovely person. Wholesomeness and fresh air. Woolens and winter, also spring, summer, and fall. It's Burberry and it's just as lovely as all their fragrances I own.

mmm... i'm not so sure about this one. I keep trying to wear it to see if my opinion of it changes, but no luck. Everytime I spray it on I feel a bit "manly", because of the ginger note (which is all I get). The citrus in it reminds me of the perfumes my dad wears. There's no way I wear it and feel sexy or womanly. And It's too fresh for my taste.

This is a beautiful wake me up fragrance! When you first put it on it may come off a bit too strong and citrusy! However, give it 5 minutes to calm down! The smell is pure summer and clean and beach! Definitely getting the magnolia and salt, sand and the bit of zing in there once it settles! LOVE this! Really enjoying it!

So, I wore my Burberry sport today....and I have many times before...but today it dawned on me that Burberry Sport has a similar spell to DG Light Blue...Idk, maybe it is just me, but once it died down throughout my day...I couldn't help but notice that it reminded me of Light Blue!!! In any case..I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!!

Very cool, decent, fresh but still making some definite and obvious statement. A bit lighter on the skin than in your nose. Salt and ginger bring it a moderate spicy flavour. I like it and would get it without any hesitation.

it was a blind buy for me cuz my friend in australia he told me to pick up any gift so i chose it, turned out i really like it, reminding me of the sea (and somehow the chloride smell of the swimming pool hahaha) love it!

Lovely everyday perfume,different than others "sport perfumes" I know.Not too green,not too lemon-y I mean. Fruity and fresh,longlasting,for everyday and especially nice on Spring and Summer time.Enjoyable !
