Blue Moon Ginger Dash

Quite underwhelming. Sure, it smells nice. If you are looking for a slightly more refined, smoother Acqua di Gio edt then this is it. You could throw a dart at a TJ Maxx fragrance bin and hit something that smells similar to this for a tiny fraction of the cost. I really wish a brand like Louis Vuitton would take a crack at this dna, they really know how to take a fragrance like this to that next luxurious level. Beautiful bottle, though! Just gorgeous! **UPDATE** Ok, after several straight day of wearing this, I have to admit this stuff is pretty awesome! It has a woodsier/acquatic smell I reallllly like, and the surprising thing is that despite wearing this in high heat, it has surprisingly good longevity. I'm sorry, Blue Moon Ginger Dash, I judged you too hastily and I think you are a very good fragrance to wear especially out in the heat. Gonna have to pick me up a bottle of this!! **UPDATE #2** I've done it...I've added this to my top 5 out of the 600+ bottles/samples I own. Just wow! This is my new favorite summer time fragrance. Just blown away at how this transitions throughout its lifespan and am still very surprised at the longevity I get out of this. Absolute picture perfect summer fragrance! Bravo, Kilian, bravo!

Remember the old school designer aquatics that you had to respray every few hours? Specifically, Bvlgari Aqva and that seaweed note in profondo lights? Well, Blue Moon is an olfactory trip down that memory lane, but with longevity (two sprays on my wrist and its still prevalent 10 hours later.) You'll instantly recognize the watery watermelon and seaweed notes. Those eventually morph into a subtle ginger and some sparkling musks which are the star of this show. There isn't any fish or other funky notes, disregard the haters, theyre lying to you. And hour into the wear, this actually starts smelling fantastic in the air. In 2005, this would've been the Rolls Royce of those popular aquatics that never delivered any performance. In 2023, I can probably live without it at this price point. If I would’ve listened to people on this forum I would’ve missed out on the best from the liquors line I absolutely love blue moon it arrived last week and I must say it’s fruity fresh with a hint of vodka and something else I just can’t put my finger on it. If you would take vodka on the rocks with roses on ice you get blue moon! The crazy part is I don’t like vodka on the rocks or roses on ice but blue moon is the perfect balance of the two it’s not sweet its just fresh juicy fruits on my skin it’s very unisex but my husband think it’s feminine but he’s weird like that but he said it smell good though. I regret not buying two. If you get the opportunity don’t sleep on this one because it’s a limited edition you don’t want to miss out on this gorgeous fragrance and the bottle is just beautiful. I am glad to make her my 24th bottle even though I would’ve had 26 but I gave my husband vodka on the rocks and straight to Heaven.

Yes. It’s expensive. I get it. But it’s fantastic. I think 70% Y Eau Fraiche and 30% Platinum Egoiste. It’s a beautiful union of the two. And it definitely out performs both. That makes it worth the high cost to me. My Y Eau Fraiche barely gets used because it’s overspray the shit out of it or it’s gone in an hour. My Platinum Egoiste gets used a lot more but doesn’t have the zesty cold lemony smell this has that I love. A freshie that performs well is super hard to find (take some notes Creed). This fits the bill. Absolutely zero regrets buying this and will always have a bottle for spring and summer use. Edit: I’ve gotten more compliments from this perfume than anything else I wear. No idea how this can be rated so low unless haters are hating on the price. It’s mass appealing, inoffensive, obviously niche quality greatness. Haters gonna hate what they can’t afford I guess.

This is a wonderful freshie. I love this scent. I think the bad rating this has on fragrantica is due to the calone note, which is extremely subjective. Ive heard some finds this fishy smelling. I dont get that at all - i get an extremely fresh, watery citrus. Its unlike anything ive smelt, its almost too fresh. Get your nose on this asap, its incredible. Some people also finds this boring, but i really dont get that. It smells so lovely and unique. This is an exclusive summer fragrance in my opinion, it’s way to fresh and bright for spring. As for the performance, it’s a little dissapointing. It sits close to skin with moderate longevity. It’s definetly an oversprayer It’s a little pricey but if you want a unique and fresh scent for the summer and have a good budget definetly cop this one. Also the bottle is the most gorgeous bottle ive ever seen
