Musk Butterfly

Really fantastic. This perfume hits all of the notes I truly love. Aldehydes, pink rose, white musk, and sandalwood + ambrette. It's a perfume for the sensitive minimalist. I have taken off all other soapy/ambrette perfumes off of my wishlist. This is the one. The first soapy, slightly floral, effortless scent that doesn't give me a headache. Reminds me of a floral laundry detergent or soap bar. Dries down to a sweet, clean, skin musk that's not animalic at all. White musk, soapy fragrance lovers would love this. Unsure of where the Oud is in this - I do not detect it at all and believe it is incorrectly listed above. It does, however, remind me of freshly washed clean sheets drying under a hot summer sun. Quite powdery on some days. Reminds me of Glass Blooms from Regimes Des Fleurs. Comparably, Glass Blooms opens up more soft, fuzzy, and floral. Then it turns soapy in the heart while the dry-down is an ambergris-type skin scent. It's a great dry-down similar to Mojave Ghost, but whatever skin scent aroma is used in both gives me a headache. Musk Butterfly, however, opens up soapy, tad floral, then quickly turns into an intimate, simple, minimal skin scent. It has a slight sweet and creaminess from an exquisite sandalwood note. No headaches at all and a beautiful dry down.

Musk Butterfly is definitely a musky powder and rose-violet baby soap. The reviewer who stated this is the perfume version of Johnson & Johnson baby soap was accurate! The dry down is sort of a less patchouli-spicy Diptyque Fleur de Peau. Glad I was able to get my hand on this UAE exclusive, but not sure if this will be a future repurchase. Maybe I will, but unsure because of how intimate it was after 2-3 hours after starting out strong for the first 30 min. I will say my impression changed after wearing this to the gym. The sweat and warmth of my skin activated the scent, radiated it to moderate projection, and slightly sweetened the violet and rose while still maintaining the clean, musky, soapy accords. I prefer this over molecular or citrus scents at the gym, and I'll be going more this year along with outside activity. So maybe it'll be a repurchase if I designate it for those activities. I don't really see this for special occasions due to the longevity or regular outings. I will probably wear this for short errands and to bed, besides the gym. Regardless, I love the scent and I needed a clean soapy scent that wasn't sharp. I can also get if someone thinks this is too mature if the florals lean more towards powdery than fresh.

Omg this fragrance is bipolar af the very first time I sprayed this frag I hated it I threw a tantrum! I was so angry because it spelled like straight rubbing alcohol and nothing else! I tried it again a week later and I was shocked this that time it smelled like violet & a powdery note along with musk which I am not a fan of musk & it didn’t last long at all! Well today which was about two months later I sprayed it again this time I smell baby shampoo Johnson and Johnson, the yellow one lmao idk if my batch needed time to develop but this one is super good! I feel awful for leaving a negative review about this fragrance if I can I will for sure fix it on Kilian website because this fragrance is very pleasant! It’s a safe blind buy but the question is are you willing to pay 400+ for this fragrance that smell like a baby shampoo that is very pleasant the more it dries down It starts to smell like the pink baby lotion they did very good at mimicking this scent! I am so happy I have it in my collection because I almost got rid of it and was even willing to take a loss if you purchased this fragrance and absolutely hate it give it time to blossom I think my batch was very new and needed some time to mature kind of like wine.

The bad thing: this perfume is only available in the middle-east region & Russia. The good thing: I have a friend in the UAE so I finally could get my hands on this one. So obviously it was a blind buy, but I am not disappointed! The first few minutes - aldehydes, but in a new way. I have never smelled aldehydes which were not old fashioned nor soapy. Instead, this is a sparkling, young, clean kind of aldehyde, with some sweetness. Only for the first 5 or 10 minutes, then it settles into a rose scent on me. Yep, the roses are dominant, but I can still smell that WONDERFUL new kind of aldehydic something in the background, with some powdery sweetness. The overall feeling is a little spicy (I don't know how do I get spices, but i do), fresh, young rose with a warm powdery base. I couldn't be more in love! Longetivity & sillage is both very good.

I received a sample from an amazing person who was generous enough to share some of her most favorite scents with me to try. Omg I fell in absolute love with this beautiful musky clean scent. It falls somewhere between musk 12 by kayali and Marshmallow musk by IRFE this is such a gem and I’m glad I was able to order it recently. Excited to add this to my collection.

this perfume is insanely good. i get a lot of compliments from my mom and people at my office love this on me (AND I'M A GUY). so watery . good thing not a lot of people know this perfume . Sadly, i gave my bottle away to my office coworker when I resigned (Maybe I shouldn't have because It's the only bottle I have)

I love it! It’s very sexy and flirtatious. A bit sparkly and very sensual, quite musky too but not in offensive way. Bought it a month ago and already too much of it gone. I heard it’s a limited edition so I don’t want to lose it too fast. It’s probably a sweeter version of the Musc Shamal which I also love.

Very unisex with a tat on the soft side. An after shower scent with slight violet rose hint. Really wearable and light. Totally tame and blind buyable.

The Oud note is just a sharp ambery smell like Norlimbanol, which bothered me a bit, but with time the powerful dirty musk came through and it is better for me. It's pretty rose-centered florals, creamy, and some litch nuance from Geranium. At first glance, it's a common aldehyde-centered floral soap scent with a sharp amber twist. but personally, It would be better for me it has not that amber-chemical twist.

I sense the rose quite strongly in this, but it's also wet, it's not a super cloying scent of rose (I don't generally like rose in perfumes). It's musky, rosy and aquatic - pleasant but not exactly my cup of tea due to the rose.

I understand why this was a limited release for UAE only. This perfume needs heat. I'm talking +45C/110F and higher! If you live in a hot climate - give this one a chance. It's a whole different perfume in this kind of unbearable heat. Instead of harsh and somewhat sour nail polish remover smell that you get in cold and warm weather - in +45C heat you will get a very modern aldehydic musk - clean (like in white musk clean) but sensual, a tad sweet and mysterious, the one that makes people lean in to smell you :-D It is more approachable than Apollonia but by no means friendly. "Butterfly" in its name is very misleading. In fact, I think it's the opposite of friendly flirty bubbly "butterfly" perfumes. It's dominant, not flirty. Like, in "shut up and do what I tell you" dominant. Definitely sample first.

This is very different and really pretty. I’m a sucker for collecting region specific releases and knew I needed musk butterfly in my collection. It did not disappoint, right off the delivery truck it’s a clean laundry watery scent the oud adds an airy quality to it while the violet rose and geranium give off a soft laundry vibe. It reminds me of the smell of fresh laundered clothes left to air dry on a breezy spring day. I love this, mind you it’s being worn in 55 degree weather, I can’t wait for the summer and high heat where this can really shine

I received a sample for this one and it does not wow me because after trying it many times it's not very unique and it's not a new smell, what I noticed is classic fresh musk for baby and it's very old fashion nothing ground breaking I prefer ''musc shamal ''by Armani prive and ''iris celadon'' also by Armani prive they are very pretty and deserve every piny along with ''wow'' factor is there. overall :5/10

This one is only good on cloths, on my skin it's horrible.
