Ella Ella

I love this!! Ella Ella will be a purchase for me for next summer. It’s such a creamy, buttery, coconuty, jasmine/orange blossom perfume with a very bright citrus opening and a semi sweet vanilla in the base. What a beauty! Elegant and light, but it's still there, like a subtle breeze in a tropical floral garden on a warm day.. As with many new releases, Ella Ella does reminds me of other tropical vanilla from my collection, butI find this scent so addictive and alluring. From a test store on a blotter is seems to have good lingerie power and a soft sillage. What intrigues me about this is the fact that smells expensive. It’s not screechy, neither synthetic bnor sharp, and smells very well. The bottle looks nice, not necessarily matching the juice, but that plastcky cheap, white butterfly ruins it a bit! Nonetheless with Ella Ella I am sold!!! I don’t know if it’s Dominique Ropion’s magic, but it is amazing. Get this, not Soleil Blanc, it’s similar and ten times cheaper...

The 1st thing that caught my attention was the bottle, it’s simple, minimalistic and feminine. At that the perfume color, a vibrant orange, makes it gourmand and for some reason i was very attracted to it before even knowing the notes. As soon as i read about the notes, i knew i HAD to smell it a.s.a.p and i was right I was extremely pleased! The fruity notes blend with the white flowers and a touch of woods make it a feminine, inoffensive and comforting scent. This is the type of fragrance i spray on myself for people to remember me in a friendly way, like I’m approachable and fun. I dont think it’s supposed to be a perfume signature or statement but it will do the work if you want to make a friendly and young impression.

I'm a Cacharel devotee, so I've ordered this, but my expectations are a little low. I'm anticipating a flowery beachy scent (that I probably already have in my collection, like Alien Goddess or LVEB Cristal Soleil.) I've avoided some of the other recent vanilla/coconut forward releases, though, so maybe Ella Ella won't be TOO samesy. I'll update soon! Update: I came for the bottle, and stayed for the bergamot. It's present from top to mid and then dries down to a LVEB Cristal Soleil smell-alike. I'm a fan, even though it's not very original (And overall a slight bummer for a new pillar.) Lasts for an eternity; 8+ hrs

I was given sample of this and I didn't like it. I used it up spraying in bathroom. Day later, the scent from the bathroom was so nice - I felt I need 30ml bottle. Now I am thinking, this is so lovely - I may end up needing bigger. Yes, it feels familiar - but it is very pretty, soft and the right balance of sweet, flowery and summary. Beautifully blended.

What can I say, my favourite perfumer - DR - I love this perfect spring summer fragrance. Uncomplicated, pretty, light and airy. Juicy and sweet. Definitely a sunny perfume. It’s aimed for a younger market however it’s easy to wear and a nice addition to my collection.

Beautiful! This is a soft and gentle perfume that is perfectly blended. It is coconut done right; sunshine in a bottle that makes me feel bright and happy.

I tried a sample yesterday. It reminds me bronze goddess I loved it, it might be a great summer perfume,I would buy it if only it was lasting longer

Sweet, milky, flowery, jasmine, white flowers. Very pleasant, feminine, soft, great for daily use. Makes me feel very soft, pleasant, clean.

IT SMELLS SO MUCH LIKE SHAWN MENDES PERFUME!!!!!!! not as magical though but its gorgeous!! has an aquatic twist?

I got this mid March when it was released in the US because its a Dominique Ropion creation and because Cacharel usually does well by me. Upon opening the bottle I was surprised how faint it is for an EDP. To my nose it was faint and fleeting as a body spray. Maybe it would get better with a little age? I won't use the M word because I'm not looking for arguments that have already been had in plenty of other threads. After nearly 6 months of time out in a dark corner of a cabinet, in the heat of August, she's just right. Nearly twice as strong to my nose as the day she was opened. Is it a little age and air? The change of weather? All of the above? I can't say for sure but she is definitely a soft slightly sweet vanilla coconut floral best for hot summer days when a little goes a long way. Yes, you have smelled this scent profile many times before but if you can find her on sale, she's a safe, crowd pleasing, pretty version perfect to bring on your summer vacation. All the classic summer scent profile with none of the salt that has been so popular lately, that disagrees with my skin. Edit: It's even hotter today and the bergamot has finally come out to play in the opening. I think this one really just needs a little time and the right weather conditions to bloom into its intended incarnation. It's vastly different than when I opened the bottle in March.

I’m not completely changing my mind about my review below, no, BUT I’m an anachronistic girl, and the way Ella Ella’s warm milky notes are enveloping me is delightful. Guess this is my sun in the dark? Testing Ella Ella today. Cacharel is a reference for me, by several of their historical fragrances, so, after Anaïs Anaïs, Amor Amor and Loulou, a sweet echo with each their title, let’s discover Ella Ella. « Ella Elle l’a », France Gall, 1987, in her album Babacar, in hommage to Ella Fitzgerald ? I’m not a baby coconuty floral I want to smell sexy on the beach girl. Cultural matter, a beach doesn’t smell like a coconut in my head. It smells likes cold sand, salty wind, seaweed, rocks, waffles, and rain. Boots and k-ways. So, do I want to smell like sweet sun grease and languid exotic flowers ? Not really. Or not in September ? I must say that in this particular criterion, the composition is pertinent and really well done, I respect the dialogue that Cacharel is trying to make with a different public, but Ella Ella isn’t singing for me. I wish her a lot a success, though.

Although this is marketed as a tropical summer scent, I would counter it is best for spring and fall, especially if you live in a hot, humid climate. The top notes burn off quickly, leaving behind a patchouli and vanilla bomb. It becomes sickenly sweet and sticky. I would reserve this for cool summer nights, if you really want to wear it in the summer. It is a lovely fragrance with superb sillage, but it just isn't tropical or bright enough to overpower that strong patchouli base. Coconut is a listed note, but I cannot detect its presence. I do like this but feel Cacharel marketed this incorrectly. It will be stunning when the cooler weather finally rolls in.

First of all, is this the most exciting perfume that I have ever smelled? Nope. But is it a beautiful fragrance? Absolutely. For me it’s a nice blend of classic florals and modern fruity notes. It’s not a groundbreaking new scent that you never have smelled before, but a summertime crowd pleaser. If you like your vanilla and floral scents this could be a perfect option for the summer since it’s not too strong or heavy. If I would describe the feeling this scent gives me it’s a ” dancing in a white cotton dress on a field of flowers in the warm summer night” kind of scent.

Ella Ella is playful and energetic, perfect for daytime wear, especially in warmer months. It's not a groundbreaking or particularly complex fragrance, but its easy-going sweetness and light floral touch make it an enjoyable and inoffensive choice for those who appreciate a bright and fruity scent with a touch of youthful charm. The longevity is moderate, requiring reapplication throughout the day.

honestly, it's not a bad parfume. Many scents in the summer are too heavy, and many are citrusy, fresh compromises, or just a cute fruit salad. I felt it on me for 7-8 hours, and among the ingredients, coconut and jasmine did appear on me, then bergamot and a little vanilla. If someone expects some magical difference from every scent, always "completely different", that's a another story.

I was gifted this by influenster. I read the reviews before I received it and expected to be underwhelmed. HOWEVER! This is beautiful! If you like Born In Roma, you’d like this. It starts off very warm, then dries down into a sweet, clean scent. For the $65 price point, it’s steal. Could easily pass as a $120 designer fragrance.

A warm, sweet flicker of subtle coconut sparkles over a organge flower base—like a delicate glimmer. These are lovely perfumes, yet so fleeting that they slip away before revealing their full depth. With only a sample to explore, they remained somewhat elusive. Perhaps an overspray would unveil more of their nuance.

Cocunut, bergamot and vanilla with lovely jasmin and orange blossoms. To me its sweet, light and fresh spicy. Can't wait to use this one on summer!

Sweet, girly, youthful but will not repurchase as I don’t find it that special but it’s smells good

13 February 2025 The bottle is basically a Helloween dupe, at first i thought ot was new Halloween flanker, white plastic cap and cheap looking butterfly. Very dissapointing, at least in this kind if Northern european weather. I hope it smells better in the summer, since it has a salty suntan lotion scent to it, basically something like Olympea's distinct cousin. I smell mostly vanilla and salty coconut, very linear, not impressive at all. Sadly it will be a pass for me, nothing to write home about here. Very low sillage snd lasting power max 3hrs, but on a sleeve of my jacket it lingers longer, up to 24hrs. Still not impressed by the simplicity of it all: ordinary bottle, ordinary scent.

Ella Ella, as a nod to her older sister Anaïs Anaïs, but also to the France Gall song that surely crossed the minds of many French speakers. The problem, however, is that this Ella doesn’t have "ce je ne sais quoi that others don't have" to make her stand out. In fact, she feels quite ordinary: a floral summer fragrance with an exotic allure (coconut). It’s not that it smells bad - it’s fresh and cute - but honestly, I’m getting a bit tired of this type of scent. I’d love to see more original releases. The good news? Like most Cacharels, the price will probably drop nicely online soon. And at that point, I’d say “why not?”, perfect for a vacation or a beach day. But that’s about it.

When I sprayed it on my wrist and smelt my wrist I couldn’t really smell the fragrance, just something sort of aquatic. However when I move my wrist away I get a summery floral scent. Quite unusual, haven’t had that happen to me before. It’s nice, nothing special and isn’t long lasting which frustrates me. I think it would be a good ‘safe’ perfume for a female friend or family member, it’s quite inoffensive.

To my nose this is an exact dupe for LVEB Soleil Cristal which I already have. If you like LVEB Soleil Cristal and you want an exact same perfume for less money, this is it. Of course, LVEB has slightly better performance and longevity, and it's slightly more powdery but on the whole almost no difference.

Youthful and free-spirited vibe, fresh and feminine. I acctually don't want to say more about it. For me, this perfume is commertial: it smells good, but I am not enchanted by its notes and originality. Ropion knows it better. But for the fun...

To my nose this is an exact dupe for Emanuel Ungaro Cosmic which I already had. Heavy enveloping and smothering coconut with vanilla. Definitely not the best and not for me.

I am editing this whole review just to say that this does indeed smell of old lipstick

At first I thought I liked it, the tester strip was really nice. UNFORTUNATELY. It is so sweet and lasts for so long and has such a powerful sillage on me that I thought I was literally going to suffocate just from one small spritz. It lasted overnight, it sunk into my clothes, it wouldn't come off my skin after a shower. I don't know what it is with me and anything with anything coconut in it - it just melds into one horrible soup with my skin. I like it, just not THAT much!

What a beautiful and feminine bottle, I love it :) The juice inside is not for me though - it’s very sweet and the sweetness is intensive. I thought that maybe patchouli will tone it down a bit, but I don’t detect it at all. Only coconut and vanilla duet mixed with shy jasmine that’s trying to be more present but, at least on my skin, failed to succeed. If you like scent profile of Prada Paradoxe or Armani My Way - I think you might like new Cacharel’s composition :)

I’m sad about this one because it’s Ropion + Cacharel. Normally when Cacharel release a new pillar fragrance it smells totally unique and interesting. Personally I find Ella Ella rather boring and unoriginal but worse, it’s also leaning into the orange blossom and citrus cleaning product realm. Too chemically and typically beachy floral. It’s nice to see that it smells good to others but there’s something here that just doesn’t work for me 😕

The patchouli ruins it. The opening is catchy but it quickly switches to a very artificial air freshener scent. It's a modern take on the classic "grandma" perfume form last century. If you don't like Flower by Kenzo you won't like this one either, they give off similar vibes but this one is more obnoxious.

I'm still waiting for my sample, but I just wanted to remind everyone that some people have the "poopy jasmine" gene and this perfume has one of the affected jasmine varieties. So please be considerate and don't overspray, some people may find it repulsive.

When I first sprayed it (sample) the smell was strong and overwhelming, but has no longevity or silage. It’s described as floral fruity gourmand fragrance then I thought it would be a modern style fragrance but it reminds me of old fashioned fragrances.

Ella Ella was very disappointing. It's that typical Cacharel perfume. It either goes two ways: Sunscreen or Makeup Cake. This leans on the sunscreen side from that orange blossom.

It's definitely a disappointment, it doesn't have any special effect.

This is a bad joke. Sweet, generic with poor sillage and almost non-existent longevity. Nothing remarkable, like a cheap deo from the local drugstore. Some artificial coconut and vanilla done in the bad way. I assumed Cacharel & Ropion can do much better. Well I was wrong. This fragrance is just not worthy of Cacharel & Ropion. Its price is also ridicoulus. Back in the days many assaulted Yes I am EDP being too sweet/generic/superficial/low-key etc. I can say Yes I am is a real masterpiece comparing to this one. Yes I am has a distinctive cardamom-milky note while the latter has... wait.... yes, NOTHING. Hard pass :-(

Ella Ella, how I hoped you would be a fragrance with some individuality! Cacharel can be quite quirky, but this time around, at least to my nose, they failed to produce a fragrance of interest. Directly after spraying Ella Ella on my skin, I recoiled. What in the world is that? The first few moments smell like... harsh, cheap aftershave!? Confusion took over. Did they accidentally put a men's scent into my decant, instead of Ella Ella? After taking 5 seconds to clear my "olfactory palate", I took another whiff. Oh! The scent changed within this short moment. No traces of the initial harsh smell was left. Only problem was, I wasn't sure if what I was smelling now was any better. Ella Ella turns out to be yet another salty vanilla perfume in the vein of Olympēa. To be more precise, Cacharel's new offering takes after the salty vanilla & coconut mixture of Alien Goddess, which itself was heavily inspired by Olympēa, but modified enough to not be a clone. Either way, I never really liked that saltiness clashing with the sweet notes. It always felt... brash and dissonant to me. Especially the added Coconut in Alien Goddess added another layer of confusion to the mixture (the Intense version is much more agreeable to my nose, as it amplifies the sweetness in a beautiful way. Gaultier Divine is another exampe of how the otherwise unpleasant mixture of salty and sweet can work together pretty well). Now comes Ella Ella. The sweetness, the saltiness, the coconut; these notes clash in a most disastrous way and create such an unpleasant sensation that I really can't tolerate the overall scent, I had to wash it off my skin. To top it all off, Ella Ella smells as though they didn't put much money into the formula. While I do not like Olympēa and Alien Goddess at all, at least they appear to be of decent quality. Now I feel sad. Cacharel, your new fragrance is a no go for me! I'd like to compare it to Vénus by Nina Ricci, which also took the salty Vanilla note, but amped up the florals to the point the whole mixture smells like tide pods or dishwashing detergent. Ella Ella instead focuses on the coconut, which turns the scent into quite a musty experience. Both fragrances appear to me to be of lesser quality than usual, both fail to capture the fantasy their beautiful bottles evoke. Now please don't be angry with me if you love any of the fragrances I mentiones in this review. Remember: Perfume smells different to each of us, and every opinion is valid :-)

I sampled this after Flora Azura, but I will say these ain’t bad. I see Cacharel as a brand that poses as normal, but is a little weird on the inside, and it comes out slightly every so often. It’s not like it's theatrical, more like a nice girl that loves pink, flower bouquets, and reading, but has a secret drawer collecting murder stories. She’s not dangerous, but has a little weird secret. Perhaps she’s into spiders or something. That, to me, is Cacharel: lovely creations, but there is an angle from which you can spot some anomalies. Anyway, these latest releases are quite surprising. It’s not like I’m gonna break myself to buy everything, but I thought this was created to join the trendy waves, and I don’t think that’s the case. Both Ella Ellas are sweet florals, both are summer fragrances, and both have superb longevity (like insane, I smelled it after taking a shower and moisturizing my whole body with cream that had another scent). OG is a beach or a pool fragrance, but I wouldn’t call it tropical. Yes, there is coconut, but it’s not fruity, it’s not juicy, it’s more like a vanilla/coconut summer breeze with a jasmine top. Flora Azura is, in my opinion, a city girl. As I wrote, it’s very similar to Burberry Goddess in the type of vanilla they used and how it sits in the composition. Flora Azura has a little glamour too. Ella Ella is not as weird as Eden or Loulou, but I can still see Cacharel in it. Don't overspray this, or you will suffocate. Otherwise, if you like sweet fragrances, it's a great summer choice.

I tested this without having read the description and what I got was softly spicy. Maybe that was the bergamot but I really didn't perceive the coconut until I read the notes and then "looked" for it. Once I noticed it, it just seemed like a strange mix with the bergamot. Now for the bergamot, it wasn't the bright lemony bergamot of Joy but a very masculine, spicey sort of bergamot. After it all dried down it turned 100% masculine. Like if a man wants a cologne that isn't the typical overpowering mans scent, wear this, it's a softly masculine formula and definitely not for me.

Instant love! It reminds me of a more playful (and maybe slightly gourmand) version of MY ultimate signature perfume Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari - and I couldn't believe my.. nose! The opening Bergamot paired with the Jasmin Sambac & Orange Blossom is an all time fav combo. I'm not a fan of coconut, but I can't say it stands out for me. Buying it -as we speak- to use as my morning jasmin! Thank you legend Dominique Ropion!

@chimidoro Jomashop has it! Online. Stunning and beautiful simplicity of the bottle. Love My daughters name is Ella so of course I bought a bottle 🤩😉 Ok it finally arrived! What a simple beautiful bottle with a butterfly charm. As for the scent, it comes off powdery and floral. It does have the cacheral DNA. Very feminine soft and the drydown settles nicely on my skin. I really like this I’m happy I bought it.

Much sweeter than I expected! Quite floral but the jasmine and orange blossom are pretty smooth and it generally comes off kinda fruity. I only get a hint of coconut and patchouli. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 5 hours on me. Saw that this was compared to Mugler Alien Goddess but I disagree. Alien Goddess isn’t as sweet to me and is much more tropical with distinct coconut.

I think it's a beautiful fragrance, but it's fashionable these days to say that any new release is generic and boring. They used to say the same thing about Idole, and now everyone loves it. Suddenly, everyone who owns perfumes from just a few years ago has become a professional nose. It has a moderate sillage and is long-lasting. I think it's a beautiful scent.

I'm really excited to try/buy this one but haven't come across any deals yet or found a demonstration bottle. I love the design and the stated notes. I noticed that it's being called SHE SHE at a few places, literally translated? But thought that's kinda strange. The name is specifically Ella Ella, isn't it? 💐💐💐

this is oldschool, not in a bad way. reminds me of scents from the late nimeties, when fruity - flowery - vanilla combo was the thing! a rather commercial, pretty scent, not rally oryginał, but pretty and quite pleasant. not the most memorable work of Ropion ;) p.s. edited. the drydown was bleh

I liked the dry-down of this fragrance more. The first hours or even the same day it is too sweet for my taste; I cannot smell the vanilla, the coconut or the citruses. I was surprised when I smelled it on a linen shirt I forgot to wash the same day; it was smelling much better.

I’ve been on a tropical perfume kick recently and I’m trying to find fragrances that smell very distinct from each other, as there are many that smell similar. This one is lovely and has its own unique vibe. It’s vanilla forward and almost salty. Very, very nice!

You can stand under umbrella ella ella eh eh umbrella ella ella eh eh~ The bottle is gorgeous & maybe this scent might be a gorgeous one too looks fun & care-freee🏖️

all lOréal perfume smell the same thing , i just smell it at Nocibe France , adn it is similar to Alien Goddess and Born in roma Gold

Just a little review to share that Ella Ella by Cacharel reminds me very much of Eden by Cacharel in the green opaque bottle.
