CK One Collector Bottle 2008

Well I don't think so! This new collection was redesigned to get a stronger longevity. And it does! I tested it yesterday(the new purple bottle), the scent is still similar but the logevity is much better than the original. And the bottle, OMG it's just amazing! Gotta buy it!!!

This review is for the purple/black 2010 CE bottle (according to basenotes-they are the same.) I agree with Lance, this does last longer than the original and despite the more streamlined note list it feels stronger and lasts better on my skin. The original was a collaboration between Harry Fremont and Alberto Morillas and this is redone by Morillas only. This begins with the fruity combination of papaya and pineapple tempered with bergamot and spiced with cardamom. The lemons and overly green juicy opening of the original have been shed in favor of the sweeter more tropical notes while keeping the bitter green bergamot and soft spice. The heavier flowers have been removed and only violet and jasmine remain to soften and slightly freshen the fruitiness. There is more green tea here and nutmeg warms the heart where cardamom left off. The base is musky amber only, without the woods and mosses. This keeps things simple and gives it a sexier slightly darker finish than the '96 classic. Overall this is cK 1 through and through, just reformulated for the next generation and in my opinion...still a classic! AM just streamlined the formula and turned it up a notch. Sillage: better Longevity: longer Overall: 4.25/5 They say if it ain't broken, don't fix it; however, what Calivin Klein did here was great. The 'new' version is less citric, and less floral, slightly stronger and sexier,yet not quite as clean but still fresh and uniquely genderless. It has been 12 years since cK1 was released and what was done to this was appropriate. This flanker has earned it's place in my collection. When I bought this at TJ Maxx I assumed it was the same juice in a groovy flacon but as it turns out, it is different and in a good way... This is a good thing to remember, people, we are all the same but some of our 'notes' may be different and despite our differences in preference or opinion-We Are One...

The bottle is great but the fragrance is extremely low quality. 3-4 sprays last only for an hour!
