CK One Summer 2019

CK One Summer 2019 was one I skipped on for several years. Then I found my love of unisex fragrances through getting CK Everyone. I stewed on getting CK One Summer 2019 due to the similarities and then said, what the Hell? I got one and it is a great purchase. CK One Summer 2019 is the "This is brillant, but I love this" meme of fragrance. It is basically the prototype to CK Everyone and honestly is a better smelling fragrance than CK Everyone. CK One Summer 2019 is basically two CK Everyone sprays to 1 Ed Hardy Love & Luck (for men) sprays. That said it also smells like a number of other fragrances (as I already mentioned.) CK One Summer 2019 opens with a citrus and watery note opening. I can't distinctly tell you what citrus it is, but I do think it is orangy as others have. The mid gives the CK Everyone matcha tea accord and it is distinctly similar to CK Everyone's. The base is where IMHO, we see the most difference to CK Everyone. I really just get the driftwood woodsy note. Now I think this is due to the fact that the musk and amber is a common skin scent drydown while driftwood is not. CK One Summer 2019 is not unique but I do enjoy it because I love the type of scent that it is. A citrus aquatic. As mentioned before CK Everyone is nearly a carbon copy of it, but swapping driftwood with cedar. Ed Hardy Love & Luck is another scent with another similar scent profile to my nose. Calvin Klein even double downed with this idea in 2019 with the similar smelling Eternity for Men Summer release (which to my nose smelt like a more sea salty take on Love & Luck.) Zara also has a pair of releases (perhaps more but that is debated since at most it is note swaps) with similar smells. Blue Hole (their Dior Homme Cologne clone), Vibrant Leather Cologne, Vibrant Leather Summer and Vibrant Leather Eclat de Bergamot (their Vibrant Leather Cologne with a mandarin orange open.) That said, as mentioned earlier, I do love CK One Summer 2019. CK One Summer 2019 doesn't perform that great, but it is common with CK One, let alone Calvin Klein fragrances period. CK One Summer 2019 lasts about four hours tops. I find it is a fragrance that projects OK. That said, it means it can work in work and causal settings during summer and even warmer spring days. CK One Summer 2019 is a slightly masuculine leaning unisex fragrance. I do however think that CK Everyone is a bit more usable in Spring and even Fall. CK One Summer 2019 I find as a 7.8 out of 10 and my favorite of the CK One flankers I've smelt. I do have to get a back-up bottle of it, similar to 2020. I fully enjoy it and want it to last. Even with my amount of fragrances, I see myself wearing this easy going dumb reach a lot in summer and re-spraying it several times throughout the day.

I blind bought this months ago because I love the original CK One, like many of us do, and it sat in my collection unbothered because it is very light and could not smell anything after spraying in my wrist. Finally I decided to solve it by overspraying like I don't usually do ( I usually only use 2-3 spritz of fragance in my wrist and hairline and that's it) and I found using 6-8 sprays is the solution. I am left swimming in a full morning of fresh, green, sunny, aquatic, green leaves bliss. I really love this scent so much, I will surely buy a couple of back up bottles. I don't think I can smell the driftwood, but as other commenter remarked, that is a concept and not a note per se. It makes me so happy it makes me think of travels, sea, clear sky and wind in your face; truly almost perfection to me. Try it if you enjoy cool, relaxing, fresh fragances; I think this is true to the concept and is 100% unisex.

The best in Summer Collection, it smells like green tea, so take this in mind. What it did to me - this is the best sport fragrance if you want to go to the gym and still stay fresh and not stinking like you have never taken a shower. It is the best beach scent someone can imagine because we are sick of all coconut sunscreens. Take it until it is on the market. The scent - absolutely masculine, no doubts about it, to be unisex is very controversial. No comparisons with Everyone or Green Tea, nothing to do with it because it has no citruses, fortunate for me. No apples or fruity notes, no musc, it is all about green tea and wood. Overall: I have 5 bottles unpacked because I know it is limited edition and I will keep it so close. I love it. Everyone makes compliments and everyone loves it BUT on the skin, not the bottle. Try it, that's it

Eternity Summer 2019 (women's) has been my summer scent and while last year's version was similar the longevity just wasn't there. I also didn't see a 2021 release when I saw this in Kohls (at an awesome price) I had to pick it up. I have read previous reviews so this was always in the back of my mind as a possible purchase but the price sealed the deal. So essentially this was a blind buy for me and one I am very happy with! I was afraid that this would be too masculine for me but I really enjoy it. It is a nice refreshing scent! I pick up a lime scent (well to me it smells like lime) but perhaps that is the aquatic note that I am picking up. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a refreshing non-offensive scent!

Admittedly, I love CK One Summer editions, some more than others, but I can’t think of a single one I’ve disliked. While 2019 is not my favorite, it is a solid edition and a solid addition to my collection. Tea notes usually aren’t my favorite, but here, the fizzy fresh tea note with the driftwood note makes for a lovely beachy wood scent, and I adore wood. I like it in my fragrance; I like it in my wine; I like it on my dash and steering wheel; I like it in my...ahem, well, you get the point. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with this one for the summer. And the stickers to add to the bottle if you’re so inclined are a cute, nostalgic touch.

I bought it couple years ago and let it sit in my drawer for the winter... i took it out yesterday. for some reason, it feel more potent now, last longer and projects better, especially if sprayed on the clothes. As for the scent , it’s a good CK1 flanker, fresh and clean, the middle tea note is pretty dominant and adding this sweetness to it which makes it a bit more on the feminine side, but in a good way! so for boys it could be a summer day/gym sent, girls may wear it anywhere anytime throughout the summer. And because the CK summer flankers are limited editions, ill put it back in the drawer when summer is over :)

I really like this. The opening reminds me a lot of Mandarina Duck in New York for Him. The CK is a little less sweet and has a more aquatic vibe and is a little less serious and I actually prefer it. To me, it's quite linear but that's not such a bad thing if you like the fresh sweet combination it offers. I get 1-2 hours of projection which I'm fine with. I probably wouldn't be if I bought it retail but for the current price of 13-15 euros, it's a great deal. I don't smell anything potentially annoying or risky in this fragrance so For anything under 20 euros/dollars, this is an easy blind buy.

I tested this beautiful perfume for the first time this summer, and wow - it was love at first sniff!! I bought it online and got it yesterday, and I can't stop smelling my skin. First I smell lots of citrus, very much citrus, and I also smell the CK-dna in the background. There is some notes I think is the watery-note. This beauty is very fresh and clean, and it fits perfect for everybody of all ages, it's office-safe, it will be very nice for use in summertime, but I will use it now for full winter, much snow and minus 10 degrees. I give it 10 / 10

I've been trying a tester of this. The opening smells very sweet and aquatic, then it dries down to a sweet tea smell. Sometimes it even reminds me of bubble gum. Great casual, fun, dumb reach scent for the summer. Unfortunately longevity is quite poor, so don't spend your shiny penny on it but if you're just looking for something cheap to good off with in the summer this is great and I think that’s the point of this whole line. The good thing about it is that once its gone, its gone, it doesn’t leave any musky smells that give you a headache.

I can't wait for the annual CK One Summer fragrance, and I enjoyed having this one over the (short) British Summer. It worked better during the hotter days, it conjured up images of a shack by the sea. I got bright citrus notes, soft wood, and a lovely zingy tea note at the end. As the bottle would suggest, this is a fun fragrance, casual and carefree, less serious then last year's more sober release. Sadly, it doesn't last very well on skin or clothes. Longevity apart, I loved it. I've stashed a few bottles away for future use.

Bought for $19 to use mainly as an out-of-the-shower scent (bc I mostly get a shower after work) Honestly, think I might buy a 2nd bottle, bc this stuff smells fantastic! Water notes are definitely there, as well as a nice tea note, not too overpowering, nor underpowering in my opinion, smells like I just made some iced tea for a summer day. Don't really get a driftwood or wood note but I don't mind, the tea is the reason I bought it after all. Anyways, for $19, it's 100% worth buying

What an amazing scent this time around. It’s weird but I get citruses, grapefruit to be exact, but it’s nowhere to be found in the pyramid. I picked this up for 75$ after tax. I collect these summer frags. I find these summer CK Ones are hit and miss for a lot of people. I really liked the 2016 version, but others hated it. On my skin I get 5 to 6 hours, and if on my clothes it lasts for a couple of days. You could do a lot worse than this one. Fresh, Fresh, Fresh.

This was a pleasant surprise, reminded me of Erba Pura but a super light, watery cologne version. Like Erba Pura, it's woody yet floral, which is a surprise from a CK One summer that's typically fruity citrusy. Does well in the heat even if you have to overspray. I really enjoy this and I think it's worth a full bottle in your collection.

This is my favorite summer fragrance from CK. I smile everytime I put it on! Its pleasant and clean smelling, very much office safe. Its different from most citrus summer frags and I have a couple backup bottles on standby. Grab it while you still can!

Smells incredible this WINTER. I can’t help but think of Christmas Oranges. Maybe because I winter in Miami? But something about this scent warms me up in the northeastern cold. I feel like I just took that 7am shower after the gym. It’s very unisex.

This is a really good frag for the Spring/Summer! It has clean bright aquatic with a hint of tea and creamy woods. I would use this as a casual day time fragrance. So far this is one of my favorites and for the price I would buy a back up bottle.

I've tried a LOT of the summer editions. This is by far my favourite! It is light, carefree and yummie. The opening is a refreshing splash of tea, the dry down ends up at the beach, on a piece of driftwood, warmed up by the sun.

Very good frag i live in Los Angeles so i think i can use this year around but i wont, now long-lasting on my skin is good like 6-8 hours so in the en it's a good buy.

This is a very nice fragrance.. on skin I get about 5 hours.. on the clothes its going on 7 hours and is still projecting nicely.. Oh yeah go heavy on the trigger

A very pleasant more masculine scent this is my favourite out of the CK summer line.. It's smells amazing... And very good value for money as well....

I absolutely love aquatic fragrances and this is absolutely stunning.

I have received compliments on this fragrance from male friends. It smells like you’ve just stepped out of the shower. Fresh, clean, bright, and uplifting. Full of potential and optimism. Never offensive. Moderate longevity. I smell watery notes, citrus, and maybe a very light floral scent, like orange blossom? Perhaps even cucumber? Bergamot? Or cotton? It’s not a salty water scent, like the Tommy Bahama line, this is more fresh water with crisp breeze. Or fresh laundry in a good way, not exactly soapy, but clean. About an hour and a half later, I get that final driftwood note. But it’s not moody, it’s not too masculine. It’s definitely not beach-combing on a cloudy day. Rather, it smells like sitting on a sun drenched, splintering, old and weathered wooden deck in your bathing suit at the edge of a lake, eating a popsicle on the Fourth of July, under a bright blue sky with cumulus clouds. My only complaint is that it is somewhat sweet, and has a little artificial fragrance. I would say it leans a tad towards the feminine although it is unisex. As others have mentioned, it is a little young and a tad flirty. But overall, this perfume is much more elevated than a body mist, and I don’t get Bath & Body Works vibes. Sometimes, it’s just what I’m looking for, especially if I want a neutral, clean, uplifting scent. I reach for this when I don’t know what to wear, if I’m running to the grocery store, if I don’t feel great or put-together, it lifts my mood. I’m a big fan of CK Summer, and this didn’t disappoint. But it is somewhat less memorable than other years.

This is another fragrance I've had for a long time, and am almost done with, but have yet to write a review on. I think subconsciously I push CK fragrances towards the more unimportant part of my frag-brain because they've been around for so long, and are usually done so inoffensively, you spray them on without ever thinking about it. It's kind of crazy how us as our own little community on here are spread out all around the world, yet the fragrances we all wear connect us, almost cosmically. Like, for instance, before even writing this, I had just taken a shower, and afterwards I look around at what has grown into a rather large collection of fragrances that doesn't seem to be shrinking, and of all the ones I could choose, I grab CK One Summer 2019. I spray it on, all over, because it's a clean, refreshing scent that makes me care a bit less if I have a little heavier scent cloud around me. It's a simple scent, really. I wouldn't doubt the note breakdown for a second. There isn't much to expand upon, but its interesting to see how similar the times some of us seem to choose this fragrance are. After a shower, before bed, on a hot summer day...etc. There is beauty is simplicity, sometimes, and I think this is a fragrance that exemplifies that. It isn't divisive as a lot of others, can be worn by more people, and there is a pretty good chance someone else is wearing it in the same situations as you. 8/10

This is quite lovely. I am not a big fan of CK One to start, but this piqued my interest thanks to the bottle design. It’s such a departure from the rest in this line, and I appreciate that. I also love the simple orange lettering at the bottom of the summer logo. I decided to give this a shot based on positive reviews, the cheap price, and my interest in getting into summery scents—a category I tend to shy away from. The tea in here is what really gives it its character. It serves as a teeter totter for the marine and wood notes. As it first developed on my skin, it kept tilting up and down. It gave me bold floral with this weird hint of something almost bodily. Probably just my underdeveloped nose In this genre. But ultimately, this is “basic,” which is what these fragrances are all about. No surprises there. Life of the fragrance is exactly what you’d expect from a cheap freshie. It’s there for a few moments, but it quickly settles and begins to fade. This is something you will want to keep on/near you and reapply because why not? Unless you’re a collector, the quick disappearance of this fragrance from its bottle should not keep you from reaching for it over and over again.

It starts with the sweet, intense quince and mandarin smell then tea and watery notes. The woody base note like driftwood and musk won't be noticeable until about 2~3 hours. Somewhat reminds me of ice fruit tea. My first Calvin Klein fragrance and not a bad experience. A young, unisex and refreshing one perfect for summer. (Although I believe that as the fragrance is very fruity, it might not be suitable to men above 30+ and/or with masculine characteristics). By the way, the package design is unique and attractive to me. It even attaches pop art style stickers to let you splash your creativity on the bottle. Like what some people would do to their suitcase or laptop.

On me this summer edition is more green/vetiver than aquatic. It starts very fizzy, like a carbonated lemon water but it lasts just seconds, and then somehow the driftwood (although to me it’s vetiver) appears and stays there unmovable. I get some light green notes and some sort of cotton/sweet note way back in the background. For once, it doesn’t smell like the original. And that’s a plus, otherwise why bother. I actually find this flanker more contemporary and wearable. But is it original? Is it something you can’t live without? Something truly remarkable? Well, no. Like most Ck fragrances, you can’t go wrong, they are safe, easy to wear but not memorable.

Pretty much OK summer juice. I didn't recognise any tea. It smells like fresh sun cream or bodylotion - something familiar there is. Price is good 20€/100ml, but for me this is too feminive and a little bit boring. Also it reminds me something that my mother-in-law wears all the time. I would say this is better than CK One Summer 2020 but much worse than Summer 2016. 7/10

Woody, watery and tea. Distinct notes. Clean fresh and leans towards the masculine. Love it Smells sophisticated and classy. Moderate silage and above moderate longevity. A bargain for the price. The only downside is the logo on the bottle...eeeww.. Perfect not just for summer. All year all days all genders. CK collection i genius.

This is a very inoffensive summer banger. I would say that it does lean more masculine. It does smell a little like a citrus iced tea during the drydown. Longevity and sillage are garbage. If you can find this for 20 bucks, go for it. Never, under any circumstances, pay full retail for a CK One frag.

A pleasant enough summer scent. Nothing mind blowing. But really nothing to not like either. You will need to respray every few hours if you plan on wearing this all day, but that shouldn't be surprising. I personally prefer the 2020 edition, but I am happy to have this one.

This one would send CK summer scents in the tea direction. I'd have gone for more dialed-in driftwood and less water accord. The tea keeps it from getting synthetic. A niche-quality release in a fun flacon that can be slipped into any bag or glove box for quick refreshment.

I really dont know what "watery notes" are? I get the bright opening, but dont find it THAT citrus. I quickly transforms to a much sweeter smell, mabey its tonka? I think is a pleasant smell and worthy of a blind buy. I doesnt last long, but again, not many CK's does

Smells fresh, a little aquatic, (I can pick up the tea note.) It's nice, performance better than some CKone's, but still moderate. Get it for a decent price and overspray, it's a nice pick-me-up spritz. Works best in the summer (duh,) daytime only. I like it.

A pleasant tea like fresh citrus & marine frag. Moderate longevity and silage. Nothing much wrong here. The dry down is the best bit - really nice. Great for the summer swimming pool. I like this a lot.

The opening is nice, but the drydown is a little too sweet for my taste in a unisex perfume. Not the best summer edition of CK One (my favourites are 2014 and 2015). It's okay though.

Simple and summery. For $10 I can’t complain. Usually spray this one on before bed or workout, doesn’t last but it’s a pleasant, soft, soapy scent.

Yes!!! After a year or more on the shelf...it’s turned into an excellent fresh, sweet, orange/tea frag. Extremely pleasant.

8/7/22 update: my opinion hasn't changed ... this 2019 flanker smells sweet, citrusy, and with just a bit of muskiness ... it smells very light and pleasant, and it's a perfect scent for the hot weather/summer time... you can smell the ck one dna, but you also get hint of other popular aquatic scents... the performance on this scent is incredibly weak in both terms of how strong it projects and how long it lasts ... you have to really be incredibly liberal on the sprays to get much performance out of this scent ... i took a shot at this fragrance because i've heard good things... for $20, it's a great value and smells nice, but the performance? ... yikes, it's probably the worst performing fragrance i own... would i recommend this cologne? still yes, because it smells really nice and people really seem to like the scent, on 4 separate occasions i've been asked what i'm wearing and how good it smells ... would i buy it after i've finished the bottle? sadly no, because the projection is just so poor it's really starting to bother me

The opening is fresh citrus, the dry-down is a sweet tea-aquatic combo. The dry-down does not have any depth, it does not project, and is not especially great. It's definitely masculine, but probably for younger guys.

So, I'm a big fan of CK frags in general, as they always seem to work well with my body chemistry. I've been getting into unisex freshies lately and have a soft spot for aquatics, so when I saw a bottle for testing while out shopping it seemed like a natural choice, especially when I saw matcha tea and driftwood notes. Also, due to luck and decent moisturizing habits, my skin doesn't eat perfume. I can expect moderate longevity out of most anything that people on here vote poor to weak, including notoriously weak ones like Jo Malones. 4 hefty sprays of this stuff completely vanished less than three hours after spraying. As badly as I wanted to, I couldn't find driftwood nor matcha nor tea of any kind. All I got was a cheap aquatic reminiscent of cleaning spray or at best an air freshener. I really wanted to like this, so it was a huge disappointment. Don't waste your money.

I am female and do own a few of these. My favorites are ck summer 06 & 2013. I just bought summer 2019 and was disappointed. Smells too woodsy and masculine so more appealing to men. I smell the water notes for a sec, but driftwood will take over and in 30 minutes, that's all I smell. I do not notice tea at all. This at least lasts about 6-7 hours. But I just didn't like it. :/ meh!

I don't understand about the dislikes. This is my first ck one summer, I remember when I first sprayed it, it disappeared really quickly. But now it actually last pretty long, I think it might because I've never smelled something like this before. I love the base notes, a very light sweet tea scent.

The worst CK Summer yet, it is so weak, smells almost nothing! Since 2017 the summer editions have been really bad and this year is the worst. You might as well spray yourself with a bottle of water, there is almost no difference. Don't spend money on this!

Smells like straight women’s perfume and even at that it’s still very basic and average. Something your mom probably already owns 👎🏾

Classic summer ck edt plus tea notes. Orrible performance.

The sea is clean, slightly frothed. Distantly I hear cries of gulls and feel soft sand underfoot. The water is rather cold, and the sea wind blows hair and clothing, touches face.Silence. Only sometimes and I hear lapping, or the fish splashing or another small sea creature. This is how this summer scene of CK smells for me. The aroma is not a beachy type of sunbathing and exotic oil. It consists largely of mixed citrus fruits with the addition of crystalline water, but without saltiness. And so it lasts until the end, revealing slowly a light male note, which makes it a total unisex. Quiet, safe, very sea and fresh. I do not feel tea at all. A successful version of the classic, although the parameters aren ́t good.

The woodiness hits me at the top and it infuses this watery aquatic with creaminess. Think of the soft, matte, smoothness of driftwood. Driftwood is a conceptual note in perfumery, anyway. The combination of "matcha tea" and "driftwood" concept makes a pleasant and almost vanillic splash. I could see this on bright warm days but not sweltering ones. It also has a spa vibe. Quality candle burning - not too cheap, not too luxurious - not cloying - in a tranquil protected space. Your ZEN garden, your private sahn with a water feature. This is far from a fruity, floral, or citrus freshie. If you want that, this could be your base for a fun soliflore freshie.
