Rose Croquante

I bought this as soon as it was available. It is a sharp green scent that wears best in summer. If I could make one tweak it would be to add oakmoss, not the synthetic version but the real thing. As is, Rose Croquant is an invigorating, floral green. It wears all day on me and I enjoy it more after the 30 minute mark (the sharp opening takes awhile to fade). I also found it wears better when spritzed on the back of the neck. Perfumistas who would like this already have a well rounded collection of floral greens on their shelf that aren't 'mainstream' or 'commercial'. All in all, this is a good modern fragrance by Caron who are trying to make the best of what is available to work with nowadays.

Opens with green roses and melon but soon turns a little bit too cucumbery on me. Fades to ozonic, rosy, soppy green fresh vibe. More beautiful in trail than to smell from close. Can understand comparison to air freshener tho :) Moderate longevity and silage. Overall nice easy summer fragrance for very hot days or for those who doesn’t like deep complex perfumes.

From the blotter. Actually i like it. Description “roses on ice” suits here better :) Fresh and crispy, cucumber is not loud.

From far away smells like air freshener, but if you stay with it and give it your attention it opens up as rose and watermelon followed by peaches. Quite fun perfume for summer :)

It seems like cedar/Iso E Super masked as cedar? is in everything these days. This takes a very chemical, sharp and fuzzy path later on. -

This is a horrible, cheap, disgusting mess. Watermelon that's starting to go off. It's fresh for two minutes then the warm, stale melon odour really starts to set in. It's a scrubber, I'm really losing interest in Caron's overpriced, uninspired private collection.

Be ware those who are sensitive to Ambrocenide/amberwood, lots of it here.

Why do I need a review to tell me there's oud aka amberwood in here?! Do I need a new perfume site? This profile says cedar only. Amberwood aka Oud is a dealbreaker and I wouldn't know if I didn't see the reviews.
