Essence of the Park

This is for the Parfum, which is simply a more concentrated version of the EDP- the notes are the same. The first word that comes to mind with this fragrance is "charming." It's an artfully constructed artemisia and vetiver offering that really does evoke a sun speckled park in a coastal Mediterranean town. I think of Greece. It is a touch rustic, very savory, very green and utterly delightful. I wear it when I'm feeling wistful or melancholy and want to escape to places that embrace a slower pace and simpler daily existence. Cheerful and nostalgic; it feels anonymous and free. The longevity for this version is very good. The Artemisia note comes and goes all day on me. It is not warm or cool but rather peppery, and I think it would be best in spring and fall but could be worn all year long. The bright green on the EDP bottle is totally fitting.

Was wearing this perfume to work today. The weather was rainy but warm, and this scent fit it perfectly. Somehow the smell of rain made it absolutely beautiful, felt like they complimented each other. Personally I think it is unisex, and leaning towards masculine. Great stuff, and completely different from what I usually go for. It will be interesting to see what I think of it when the sun is out, but can't wait to wear this while watching a thunder storm. Edit: Just received my full bottle today, and I love everything about this scent. There's evident almost bitter greenness in the beginning, but after awhile an underlying warmth comes forth, and to me the fragrance seems almost slightly sweet. This indeed is the scent of a garden, but to me it's a garden in the rain, just before a sky splitting thunder.

Essence of the Park is an exotic, spicy herbal scent, sweetened by florals in the drydown. The opening is a citrus - artemisia - clove chorus of notes. It’s strong and has a slight medicinal quality. I did not hate it, but for me this is all about the drydown which is a 180 degree turn from how it starts. The drydown reminds me of a mountain cabin retreat, you can smell the resin (elemi) of the wood when you’re inside but as soon as you open the door the meadow air hits you: magnolia, linden and honeysuckle. Essence of the Park is unisex so ignore the gender classification. There is a meditative quality to this perfume and I love it. Edit: acquired through a trade with a fragrantica member, love it. First time I wore it I received 2 compliments.

This delicate, sunny fragrance is beautifully herbal and refreshing. After the citrus - bergamot opening, it becomes slightly sweet and blossoms. The vanilla and vetiver are subtle: just enough to make the scent warm and not sharp. Base is not heavy, but adds character and depth. I really love the developing. In every moment it's inspiring, harmonious. This perfume smells very natural, yet it is masterly crafted and well calculated. Straight to the heart, I can say. After knowing that, I become very hard to other perfumes, because personally I consider this one on the top of the perfume-art. Too bad it is not easily aviable in my country - so I value it even more... Sillage is moderate, longevity 2-3 hrs. Unisex, spring-summer-autumn days.

This definitely has more than just 4 notes. It tells a story that has many twists and turns. The initial opening is ooh so fresh, soapy, lemony and a bit minty too. The dry down is as beautiful. Green herbaceous and a bit white floral too. It finally settles into a clean white musk with some sweet florals. It’s very hard to find a great green scent even though it’s my favorite type of scent. And though there’s no figs in the notes, it does smell like the greatest fig fragrance (If you can overlook the occasional smell of cat piss) I can detect the lime and the vetiver notes, The artemisia and the magnolia. But other than that, this is a very well blended fragrance. Perfect for spring and summer.
