Nomade Lumiere d'Egypte

Tried a sample today, this is a jasmine dominant scent but in a sweet and fresh way! Personally I really like floral fragrances that’s why I’m very into all the Chloe releases. This opens with a very fresh aquatic lotus accord since it’s inspired by the Nile River it smells kinda veggie to me (?) like the one from Hermes Jardin series. It turns into a fruity jasmine in the middle stage kinda reminds me of Nomade EDT (my fav from the line) the pink pepper is missing from the middle notes from what I’ve smelt (some press release mentioned pink berries? Not quite sure which is correct but it smells quite fruity to me) I think this flanker is a mixture of Nomade edt and the Nuit Egypt the middle stage really reminds a lot of the OG Nomade DNA but when it finally dry down on my skin I can detect the Nuit Egypt dna without the vanilla. It swifts between these two versions from time to time quite interesting! But the sweet fresh a bit vegetal jasmine lingers on my skin for a very very long time. Not sure is it a love but it is a like 👍🏻 EDIT: The more I wear the more I love this version!!!! so so good very fresh and aquatic at the same time, I used to hate lotus note as a very aquatic ingredient but in this it makes it more fresh and calm like other have said I like it very much! Hope this is not a limited edition if yes, I'm gonna buy backups! Also received compliments twice from friend and co-worker!

Some people say it's a mature scent, but I disagree. I picture an elegant woman who knows what she wants. This isn't a sweet or energetic perfume; it has a slight greenish edge, but it's not entirely green; the floral aspect is prominent. It's a very clean scent, suitable for office use. The longevity is quite satisfactory. I can smell the jasmine, and I adore it. It's lighter, more aquatic, and shares the same DNA as Nuit d'Egypte. I'd say it's a scent for those who don't like to take risks. When I'm unsure what to wear and don't want to draw too much attention, I'd spray this scent :) It's not very diffused, but someone hugging you or sitting next to you will definitely smell it. Longevity on clothing: 7/10

I purchased this without sampling, wasn’t really sure what to expect as this flanker seems to be getting some mixed reviews. Well, it arrived today and upon first sniff, I fell in love. It is so beautiful and classy. I actually like this better than Nomade Nuit d’Egypte, which I also have. This Lumiere flanker is honestly not really similar to Nuit, this is a light, fresh, kinda aquatic, elegant jasmine with some noticeable green notes. (Whereas Nuit is more of a sweet, vaguely spicy orange blossom and vanilla.) Lumiere apparently has the same “spice” backbone as Nuit d’Egypte but I’m not really picking up on it. This will be a perfect spring/summer daytime fragrance.

Initial blast of slightly bitter jasmine, and as it gets settled in it starts to warm up and get sweeter. Someone in the reviews mentioned that it reminds them of a lake, and I think that matches the vibe quite well. Perhaps the aquatic note comes from the blue lotus accord? It feels like being among sweet jasmine plants next to the water. You get a sense of warm earth from the base notes, but it's not spicy on me. It's been around 75F here, so I'll come back and update this when it gets really hot. A brief note about longevity: I have detected it after a full day of wear and after washing my wrists. It's truly one of my longest-lasting freshies.

This is such a happy, radiant fragrance. It somehow feels warm and fresh at the same time, fruity, floral and softly spicy, with a lovely smoothness underneath. What surprised me most is that the notes did not interest me at all on paper. Some of them even sounded slightly off-putting. But once everything comes together, it works beautifully. I keep catching the scent on my blouse and cannot stop smelling it. It lasts very well on me, and I have already received compliments while wearing it. Most importantly, it genuinely lifts my mood. Bright, comforting and a little addictive.

I have complicated feeling at the first sniff. It has nice aquatic scent but I can smell green and spices at the same time. So I cannot decide if I like it or not. I keep telling myself 'This is the worst Nomade flankers ever!' and 'I do not want to smell like this all day'. BUT the scent became so heavenly after dry down. It is very sweet and sensual. I keep sniffing myself all the time. I do not expected much about the sillage and longevity from aquatic fragrance but this one is actually good. I still prefer Nuit d’Egypte but I am glad I give this one a try.

Nicest of the Nomades IMO. It's juicier, fruitier, younger and brighter than the others, and more summer fun energy/solar vibes than the OG. Unsure what note is giving the tarty, juicy, slightly green edge - but it gets more subtle in the dry-down and when the whole thing becomes more reminiscent of the OG (but stays younger and brighter overall). I can't really spot the resins & spices in this that are strong players in the Nuit flanker and in this note list. Unique and addictive to sniff - will enjoy playing with it in different weather.

I bought this on my way to Egypt. Tried Nuit and Jardin and this, and liked this aquatic aura the most, and wearability on day. I found Lumiere smelling of egyptian flowers and spices, and how they mixed cinnamon and myrrh. For a long time I have not loved a fragrance so much, as I tested only on paper at the airport. I really get the freshness of Nile. As I wore Lumiere my whole egyptian holiday, it will always remind me of my lovely holiday in Egypt. Love!

This is so good! Bright, solar, aquatic, fresh, sweet and summery. I love it :) Perfect for spring and summer. It lifts my mood and I feel like I just wake up in a luxury resort by the french riviera, eating breakfast at the balcony. Sillage is moderate and it lasts on my skin for about 6-7 hours. Chic and elegant :)

This is an ode to the romantic, magic notion of Egypt that many of us carry in our memories from history lessons in school. It's the sight of a Felucca with crisp, white sails floating down the shimmering Nile while a light breeze carries the sigh of blooming jasmine along the banks of the river.

Fig, fig...and more fig. A fig dominated fragrance even though the note is not listed !!! As many others state there is definitely fig/ fig leaf in this perfume. To me it's similar to Davidoff Goodlife (for Men).

Broke my no-buy for this, because it is just that good. Such a nicely balanced and intoxicating scent that develops in a lovely way. I can see myself wearing this for almost all situations and seasons

Don’t own this one yet but I just tested it today and it is so beautiful. Very jasmine forward on me, I even was complimented as I walked around the mall.

Maravellous fragrance, aquatic jasmine, on a base of a creamy fig. Prettiest jasmine based one i ever came across with.It’s very alike to « fame parfum »

Gorgeous summer scent! An absolute favourite🥰

Chloé's Nomade Lumiére E'gypte is a nice and fresh fragrance and it is very pleasant to smell, but it didn't greatly stand out to me. It was slightly too watery and limp for my tastes and I would have preferred a bit more sweetness and maybe a bit less spiciness from the pink pepper and a bit less woodiness from the base. I love the jasmine and the lotus though, since it reminds me of being next to a pond or a lake during a summer's day! It is very light, cheerful and perfect for the spring or summer day, when you are doing something casual and don't want anything too complicated or showy. Longevity was good at 5 hours and the projection was at arm-s length. It is a feminine fragrance, but it is not an ultra feminine fragrance that is very va va voom. I would have liked a bit more pizzaz and uniqueness, but this perfume ain't half bad and it is definitely worth the money Chloé are charging for it. This fragrance has an ethereal and yet happy vibe to it and I don't imagine anyone feeling sad when wearing this. It has a painterly impressionist view of nature to me, like Monet's water lillies. Something about it smells slightly common and department storesie to it though, like something from a 1990's fashion magazine. Altogether, I'd give Chloé Nomade Lumiére D'Egypte a 7/10.

On my skin: Very green, bright, ladylike, unique opening. Harmonious and it reminds me of a handmade body cream from Africa, very seductive and mystical. It's not sweet (my type of scents), but I love it. In the middle notes it gets resinous , rather than green. I definitely get the resins... thankfully it doesn't remind me too much "church", but myrrh is clearly there. It's the only thing that makes me hesitant to buy it. It keeps its feminine notes throughout (jasmine + something else), but not as in the amazing opening. I definitely prefer its opening. I get 0 cinnamon. Imo it suits mature, put together, old money, conservative, religious women. Not so "nomade" 😆 I smelled it next to Prada Paradoxe: same vibe, but this is the 40s mother and PP is the 20s daughter. Edit: yeah, it has something comforting, motherly, trustworthty, reassuring (I guess it's the myrrh). It's very elegant from the start till its drydown which stays consistent without dissapointing surprises. Hmm...then I'll might get a bottle.

It is lovely. Better than Nuit d'Egypte that is heavy on particular jasmine thats a bit sour. This is bright, crisp, floral without being obviously jasmine and lotus. This duo plays together nicely. There is something slightly bitter in the front that is so very Chloe. In the background this is sweet. The sandalwood is there but also not obvious. It is animalistic-resinous in the drydown, oriental but refined by the French. I think I like the classic Nomade edp the most, then Nomade Naturelle then this. I dont know only the Nomade Naturelle Jasmin. I think this is a safe blind buy and a lovely gift cause this is timeless, elegant, cheerful and universal with regards to weather. Today is a stormy, rainy hot spring day and I am so comfortable in it yet I feel it on myself 9 hours already.

In dry, cold winter weather: Fresh creamy jasmine with a pinch of sweetness in the opening. Classy and subdued. Getting sweeter as time goes by, at some point the jasmine is a little indolic, or maybe it's just a somewhat weird combination of jasmine and pepper. A bit spicy and dry in the drydown, maintaining the initial creaminess at the same time. Turns into a skin scent after 2,5h. I like it, but I wish it were more unique. I will give it another go in spring as the dry and cold climate I'm experiencing right now is probably not doing it justice. Warm spring: It is now far more powerful and very long lasting. It's the same creamy and fresh jasmine, but with a dominating aquatic scent to it that stays until the end. It's still in my hair after 18h.

If Nuit d’Egypte is the whisper of an evening, Lumière d’Egypte is the sigh of a golden dawn. Both perfumes offer the same silky balm, the same tender ointment laid on the skin, still that warm breath of the Orient that gently caresses the senses without ever overwhelming them. It’s a velvety, spicy, and rounded scent. But here, the light enters. Jasmine blooms more clearly, lotus offers its fresh aquatic note without breaking the creamy base. It’s the same family, the same olfactory dynasty: that of oriental caresses, but this time under the clear sky of an Egypt bathed in daylight. Two faces of the same dream. I really like these Egyptian flankers.

To my nose, this is a green fig and warm jasmine fragrance. I think the warmth comes from the Myrrh but there has to be fig in this. That's what's coming across on my skin. It does settle down a bit as it transitions from the opening to the dry down, and the jasmine becomes equal with the fig (that I'm picking up but isn't a listed note). It's nice but nothing groundbreaking IMO. I appreciate that the Nomade DNA is still present in this fragrance, as it should be since it's a flanker.

This is a bright, clean, and easygoing fragrance. I usually don’t go for clean girl scents, since neither my style, makeup, nor wardrobe really fits that aesthetic. But this one stands out for me, it’s the most wearable clean fragrance I’ve come across. :) There’s something subtly edgy about it that I really enjoy. It’s perfect for daytime, I’d wear this to brunch, cinema, a cafe, or to a sunny walk.

This perfume smells like you're in Egypt, sitting by the bank of the Nile as the tall palm trees rustle above you on a hot summer's day. There is a calm, watery freshness from the lotus, blending with jasmine, spices and myrrh. I sense a green nuance (possibly a fig tree accord) and, from what I gather, I'm not the only one. If you enjoy fig scents, I think this is worth trying.

Opens up juicy green and aquatic. I guess it’s the lotus flower. It quickly settles down to a pleasant, sparkly, solar fragrance. It’s closer to the original EDT than to the recent Nuit edition. It’s a happy fragrance, slightly aquatic, great for summer and I totally agree - if you liked the original chypre edt but found it too strong - this is a great option to try.

Very tropical smelling to me, i get jasmine, even tuberose, with notes of coconut and banana (lol). Unfortunately it doesn't really make me think of Egypt, rather of a tropical country close to the beach in the summer. It is very pleasant though, a very sunny perfume, plus tbh the performance is great. The projection is good and it lasts even after a shower.

I like this, it’s pretty and very wearable, but I don’t get from it most of the listed notes. I’m getting soft spice layered with ripe stone fruit (maybe plum). Not too sweet, but definitely a juicy fruit in there somewhere. Maybe macerated and spiced. The floral elements are in the background and not specific. Much lighter and more modern than Nuit.

The Chloe Nomade line is my most favorite ever! That being said... Interestingly, this one is very sandalwood-heavy to me which is not my favorite, but does not come off “pickle-y” and blends well with the jasmine. I can’t discern the other notes in this one unfortunately.

It's a very fresh floral, almost aquatic. I get a little hint of cleanliness soap, the jasmine is grown up and pleasant. I love the dry down and the combination of Myrhh and cinnamon. If you like the notes, it's quite a safe purchase. Lovely perfume.

Fruity bright white floral perfume. Extremely likeable but also smells typical of a designer release! I cannot believe no fruits are listed here, I very strongly detect a tropical fruit note like mango or even the tangy tartness of passion fruit.

Easy to reach for, very calm scent. I can't smell anything particular other than very fresh sparkly jasmine. Very calm version of jasmine with a hint of incense. It will wear nicely this summer.

I just received the sample in my order, and I think it's pretty alright (not my thing tho) This one is a super creamy jasmine, it's not completely floral and get a slight green note, and a quite sour one, which is the red pepper. I'm really not a fan of pepper note sadly, but the overall is great.

The lotus note is one that is new to me, but the jasmine and pink pepper is clear and obvious. It’s quite a sensual, yet bright scent. I like it, but I don’t find it compelling enough to purchase, as I own the original nomade and I think I still prefer it.

I like this one. The jasmine is present but balanced through the other notes. It also has something green and fresh. Not nauseating at all, good daytime scent. It definitely takes a step back from generic designer frags and does something more unique.

The Nomad d'Egypte editions are so different to the other Nomads, I had to try them in the store and I was truly mesmerized. They don't even remind me of Nomad. I prefer Lumiere and bought it asap. Lumiere is so niche and weird, but in a very good way: its warm, creamy, ambery, spicy, all in a subtle non-cloying way, and at the same time its also fresh and aquatic. I would have thought these accords would clash, but it doesn't and its just so addictive. Its not a fill the room scent, which I love, I find this very classy. I don't get any coconut here like others review, I do not like coconut in a fragrance so that's lucky. Update: This performs very well in a cold season for me, when its warmer I don't like this on me at all, it went weirdly fishy on me, sooo weird, enough so it has been putting me off wanting to use it, its a sell. It must be a mix of the aquatic and the spices throwing it in that direction.

This is a jasmine bomb with oriental spices! It smells really green to me and reminds me of nature some how. Like a home filled with natural fragrances in every corner. This is not something I would ever wear but I would respect someone who could pull this off! It is quite a mature scent to me but not in the fancy lady kind of style, more lika an older woman living an organic life in a cottage and likes to spend time outside. A fresh, floral and spicy perfume all at once. I think I would like this as a candle to put in my bathroom for relaxation!

Actually I got this sample by mistake, I was thinking that I would be getting another Nuit d'Egypte. That is the only one from Nomade flankers that I really enjoy. This one... So green, at the start it was promising, but no, it turns a bit bitter and def green. If I would smell this on someone, I wouldn't think that it is perfume, that I am smelling, but like some herbs or gardening stuff. an easy pass for me.

This fragrance is so random. I don't get how it fits with the original Nomade or Nuit d'Egypte. I like both the original and Nuit, so I was really curious to try this. It's an aquatic FRUITY floral. So incredibly fruity and watery it makes me think of Escada summer tropical fragrances. I don't get the vision described at all.

The balsamic, ceremonial, sacred notes from the original Nuit d’Égypte have moved to the base here. In the OG, they’re woven through all three layers, with the myrrh making a grand entrance. Here, they’re in the background, and white florals take the lead. This is clearly an airy white floral spin on Nuit d’Égypte, and I have to say, I’m a bit surprised by it. It’s a fine fragrance on its own, but for me, the original is just on another level - a creation that holds a special place in perfumery. Because really... why would you want a light, airy version of something that is so essentially not light, airy, or white floral? Lumière is pretty, but it simply can’t compete with the depth and presence of Nuit.

The blend is formal and abstract. It opens with abundant honeyed wood and fresh green spices. The fragrance of the flowers is fresh and fruity for a moment, and then watery wafts carry a creamy air with a delightful mist of elemi. The effect is similar to the deep aroma of fig leaves (it lingers throughout), so the ambery resins and spices become creamy while remaining dusty, bitter, slightly citrusy, green and woody... IMHO, it brings a feeling of serenity, accentuated by stimulating sparkles.

The opening is spicy, pungent, very green. After a few minutes, the acquatic aspect starts to emerge, but the green note (or at least what I process as green note), is still the strongest, until you get to the final hour of the perfume, which is definitely more acquatic. I dont pick up any sweetness at all. It's quite refreshing, it smells of wet green leaves and water, but in a nice way. Summer weather appropriate. The name Egypt seems completely irrelevant here🍃☀️💧

Just a heads up, reviews below aren’t all for this bottle, Nomade Lumiere d’Egypte. I wish people would do a better job of making sure their info is correct before publishing 🙄 bunch of newbs. Bouncyolive is reviewing Nomade Jardins d’Egypte. Search and discover is obviously reviewing the original Nomade edp or edt OR Nomade Naturelle edp, because she mentions plum as a note and those 3 are the only ones with Mirabelle plum; none of the Egypte flankers have plum.

I really like this and mostly it smells like I expected from the notes listed - except it (also) smells so much SWEETER than I expected? Someone here said fruity/stone feuit and that must be it. I'd say it smells exactly like what the pyramid says plus cotton candy (i.e. almost-burnt, spun sugar).

I just humbly ask here CHLOÉ ~ please never ever stop making this absolutely perfect fresh’n still creamy, dimensional, happy, mystic jet professional scent! Lumiere d’ Egypt is really big love of mine even words are not enough. There is some clever compositioning, its a true gem. Thank You!

Was launched in 2025.... fragrantica is time-traveling again. 😂 Although not a fan of Jasmine, curious to try though. I'm a big fan of Nomade Nuit D'Egypte. It's as close as a signature scent I'll ever come, just so easy for everyday wear. Merry christmas!

It has the same base like "Nuit d'egypte", but way more spicier. I personnally don't like it because it has something "old aunt" like. Jasmin intense was wonderfull, sweet and spicy, but not my typical type. Nuit d'egypte is my favorite one.
