Chasing the Dragon Hypnotic

Best of the addictive arts line IMO. Cinnamon, cherry, myrrh with a kick of clove. I hate cloves but it's well blended here. You would think that for the price and notes this would be super dense, but it's actually not at all. It's very elegant and smooth. Very good fragrance. Worth 576? Hell no 🤣.However, if I could get a tester or find a reasonably priced bottle, I absolutely would pick this up without blinking. This is extremely good! Scent 8.5/10 Performance 7/10

Almost a dead ringer for vintage 1991 Versace Versus Uomo. Never mind the reformulations. So, all in all CC Hynotic is in quite good company. Longevity is incredible. Sillage is prominent and projection is impressive. Endless joy exploring the different notes contained in this scent, there is a danger of your nose never leaving your wrist. You will be hypnotized for certain. One spray lasts forever, and at that price one would hope so. 8.25/10

I have never Chased The Dagon or taken Heroine in any form. All I can think to say about this Perfume is that if this Aroma is akin to the supposed feeling of being wrapped in cotton wool’ like a lot of addicts say then I’m glad I’ve never tried the real thing as I am totally addicted to this Masterpiece.

Stunning perfume. Lasts ages on me with great sillage. Have received a lot of compliments while wearing it. Received sample now thinking of investing in a bottle

Among the "crazy priced niche" I've tried, this is really the best. Intoxicatingly sexy. But i would never afford 75ml/700 eur, so pass

Hmmmm...there’s no way these are the only notes. I got the promotional material with them and I don’t recall it listing notes but I should double check really. I think both the male and female versions of this release have incredibly opulent openings, complex floral and sensual in the extreme. I get why people are slightly against them, due to price and performance etc...but I think this is a brand where if price is an issue you really ought not to be considering them. The opening to me is a kind of intense, boozy, gourmand, definite warm spices in there and the cherry element does come through backed with a heart of florals. I’d say jasmine or tuberose or something, definitely more feminine leaning to my nose. The drydown is a soft vanillary, smell with more of that cherry edged vibe, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting. Hypnotic is broadly speaking more woody and masculine In the base than Euphoric. I’d say both the perfumes in this release fulfill the promise of an intoxicating, narcotic experience if only limited to the opening 30 mins or so because although I only applied a tiny amount and am still yet to wear properly, Hypnotic was fairly short lived. On the whole I really liked the mixture of gourmand and floral spices it was certainly like nothing I’ve tried before and that to me at least counts for something.

Just received my bottle. It’s good juice, but was it worth $700? No, but really none of this stuff is, but I keep buying them! Back to the juice. I smelled the black cherry but not as the main note, I’m assuming I’m getting more Clove? Not much cinnamon either? Dry down is so much nicer than the initial opening. Leathery, smooth, dark, very well blended. I received sample of ecstatic with my bottle of hypnotic and it’s very nice as well! Very fruity burst, but settles down nicely !

Reminds me of Chanel Egoiste a fair bit, except toned way down, way weaker (at least my sample is), more refined and a bit sweeter.

This is the one of the three of the series for men that I can rather quickly say a clear no to. Spicy, incense, pepper. Then, for quite a while, a soapy, cherry, clove thing, some of which gives me a bit of an allergic reaction, and which I don't find in any way desirable. Yeah, like a small Asian supermarket where everything is right next to each other. Soap, spices, and fruit. What it eventually dries down as is actually really nice, nutty, incense, but it is too late. If I can't stand the steps of getting there, it can't really work.

Crumbs! This was certainly not what I was expecting from just these 3 notes. It does remind me of Amouage Interlude. A rather eccentric fragrance. There is almost a skankiness. Just like I get from 4160 Tuesdays Dark heart of Havana. It makes me feel a bit queasy. Of course it's a scrubber. A real shame as it sounded quite promising. I'd say it was unisex. Good sillage and longevity.

Chasing the Dragon Hypnotic (Masculine) "This heavy door creaks open, you slip within. To find. Noble, addictive accord. From smoky incense, pink pepper, elemi, bergamot and a brief, dying spark of fiery ginger. Whilst rich clove, black cherry and cinnamon sit within basil, fir balsam and labdanum. Rich dry ambers, resinous myrrh and leathery, liquid amber call out from a darkening crack below. Rich in mosses, dark patchouli and smoky notes of vetiver. A whispered incantation of a truth imagined." Ugh turned out this one is pretty bad too... If you have the money go pick up one of the Rojas instead.

Smells exactly like an Asian Supermarket in Ashton Under Lyne. You paid WHAT for this? More money than sense. You can get that "scent" for free just waiting in line for your groceries. Psychedelic is a different story, however, the price causes a cerebral meltdown, insofar as if I were willing to spend that much on a perfume, I would be incredibly wealthy, selfish, greedy and could find a million and one ways to dispose of that cash and improve someone's life beyond measure. No.

I get berries, suede, citrus, and cloves. In-between Clive Christian C & X. Less sharp than C, but with more depth than X. I like it a lot.
