Aries

This is a beautiful perfume for the beginning of Spring (Aries is the sign that starts the Spring) -- a floral with underlying warmth to keep cold away. The first notes are calling to action with a fresh burst of citrus -- lemony yet somewhat sweet. The floral part comes next, and this is what I wanted Guerlain Idylle to be -- but no perfection in this world, it doesn't last long on me, going almost straight into the warm smell. That is delicious, and truly is warm, my only regret is that the floral part leaves me too soon. Perhaps, because I am not Aries?

The whole line was the biggest disappointment... Looks like they took one mixture as a base for all of the zodiac perfumes and just added one distinct ingredient for each, to make it look different. Just sniffed all 12 for women and 12 for men... Sadly, no character, all smelled like air freshners to me. Sales girl said they are very popular "as gifts" and people buy them according to their zodiac signs! This line should not be called "niche", it is too weak and uniform.

As much as I succor Black Locust (would have liked MORE of it in here, sooooo much more! Someone who creates a Fragrance for an Aries woman and forgets that she is a FIRE sign, omitting the animal factor in any of its forms - civet, musk, ambergris - has clearly not ever met one before. they tend to leave a mark - whether they wish to or not....they tend to be memorable, fool-hardy, sensual, impulsive, eratic or exciting, whichever way you look at it. Citrus is too save. and this juice not bold enough, not packed enough....should have gone more towards Chanel 5 - ever wondered why go-getters like Marilyn, Nicole Kidman, Catherine deneuve associated with it? And thank you very much, I AM an Aries, myself...just saying - I would have liked this with more warmth, depth & daring :D KEEP the Black Locust note THAT is delightful!
