Cristal de Musc

This musk is to sheer and beautiful! It's like a white gossamer veil of perfume. It's earthy and just lightly floral, like wearing a thin wreath of baby's breath as a crown. I don't usually like scents with musk because they are often too heavy, but this one is perfect. I once attended the simplest, sweetest wedding in the park. It was a very impromptu ceremony and only a handful of people were invited. The bride wore a simple spaghetti strap sundress and the groom wore a white shirt and simple black pants. She carried a bunch of daisies and had a crown of daisies in her hair. One of their talented friends sang a cappela as they walked hand in hand down the "aisle" of daisies. This would be the perfect fragrance for that type of gathering. Simple, sweet, unpretentious, memorable, earthy, pure.

I'm collecting these special perfumes Comptoir Pacifique so even if a little lightweight and not very durable ... This musc is mellow, but so delicate that I do not feel around me. But if I sniff my wrist: oh! it is delicious ... I have the feeling of sinking my face into the crook of the neck of a young girl just blossomed and breathe the clean and soft scent of her silk skin... And I still see myself back in time, young women to enter into life with the heart and mind full of dreams, so lovely and unconsciously erotic ...

I'm not a musk person(I know what you are thinking. How? What? Why?) What I mean is, I prefer ambergris. That said, this musk is the right amount of soft. While the presence of the animalistic tone can be detected, it isn't strong nor cloying. This musk holds true to its nature. And smells great on my skin.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique CRISTAL DE MUSC is an incredibly light but very pleasant clean musk skin scent. It has a very tiny bit of sweetness and actually smells like a baby's freshly bathed bottom. Or maybe like the idea of that image. The scent is definitely not that of baby powder or diapers (à la Kenzo FLOWER or the many laundry musk scents out today), but that of clean skin. This would be the perfect perfume for people who hate perfume--were they for some reason, under some bizarre circumstances forced at gunpoint to don what they take to be the evil substance--but it can also be used as a base, to give more complex compositions with poor longevity a bit of staying power. The scent is so light that there's no real way that it can conflict any other perfume, it seems to me, although it does have just a touch of sweetness to it. This composition could have been named "Not a perfume..."

Hi I recently discovered this range (it is no longer available in my country so I have to buy them online) and am totally besotted and am building up my collection. I totally get Cristal de Musc - Boggi who mentioned scented letters is on the right track. My impression is that it conveys the image of an elegant English woman in colonial times living in an exotic location, writing home to her family and friends. It is delicate, musky, rosy and refined. I just love this range for its uniqueness and ability to capture unique impressions of places. They work wonderfully outdoors without being sporty or masculine as I find most outdoorsy perfumes. My city is having a heatwave this week and I am wearing Fleurs des Caraibes which really blooms in the heat. Pure, true Jasmine note. Fantastic. I'm in heaven.

I sprayed the tester in the store a few times on my hand, and i fell inlove with this delicate powdery scent, and as Boggi described, it does reminded me of scented letter sets!!! very unique, and very close to the skin...

Rose and talcum powder musk on me. Pretty and sheer, but it's a powder note that edges into territory that might be aging. Not going to be a staple in my cabinet, despite being an interesting, different take on musk.

This is a nice light white musk. The hibiscus leans it tropical. I layer it with other tropical scents in summer.

This one is very odd. It reminds me of baby powder or scented letter sets. It's funny and original.

The scent lasts only about 15 minutes, but it’s truly beautiful, soft, clean musk.
