Murice Imperiale

The ambergris/musky feral accord and sweet, almost melonesque banana leaf/petrichor notes are reminiscent of the Bat’s rawness and banana soil fruitiness, this is where it vaguely resembles the Zoologists crude DNA. I mean, in a crowd, by presentation and performance, I could easily confuse Murice for some Zoologist. Beautiful, creamy, sea water softened tuberose is worth mentioning. The composition feels well blended, complete and natural. Potent and long lasting juice. I find the concept to be amazingly executed in both — bottle content and design imagery. Loving this truly enchanting mermaid potion 🧜🏻♀️♥️

A salty sea fragrance with musky rhubarb fruit notes and a green and slightly bubblegum tuberose floating on a wave of ozonic freshness. This is a blockbuster fragrance, it lasts a really long time and has massive sillage. MI is one of those stunning and unique fragrances you can’t get out of your head but is simultaneously really hard to describe. I recommend trying it.

An amazing fragrance! Never smelled a tuberose like this! A flower travelled the seven seas crawling the deepest ocean floor! Raised from the waves touch the rain and lie to be caressed by the sunshine! Great job🔝🔝🔝👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

From the same nose Cristian Cavagna I absolutely loved Musa Paradisiaca which I bought in a heartbeat. Murice Imperiale nearly chocked me. It’s potent and while it can be said for every perfume that it’s not for everyone, this is DEFINITELY NOT for everyone. It attacked my nose reminding me of mold, after a while the acquatic note started to emerge and it’s just not for me. I couldn’t even try it on the skin cause it was too offensive on the mouillette. Smell it by all means, but if you’re a flowery person that likes floral notes and light perfumes, this may not be your cup of tea.

After writing a very positive first-impression review and a much harsher one two years later, I think it’s finally time for a lukewarm verdict. Let’s start with the downside. Landi’s signature is unmistakable. Calone and Ambrocenide—the duo that never seems to die—are largely responsible for the fragrance’s longevity and projection. I’ll be honest: I find them rather vulgar. They tend to overpower everything else and linger for hours. That said, there is a technical point that, at least in this case, partly justifies their presence. Despite a base that remains almost unchanged throughout the drydown, these molecules are essential in recreating a remarkably convincing rain accord. It’s one of the few cases where I genuinely understand why they were used. As for the positives, I can complain all I want, but I still love this fragrance. In fact, it continues to move me. The picture it paints is almost identical to one of my deepest olfactory memories: summers spent at our seaside house, with a banana grove just beside it. There’s the salty sea breeze blending with the sweet green scent of banana leaves, the ethylene released by ripening fruit, and the smell of the large fallen bracts, damp and slowly decaying on the ground. But above all, there are the summer thunderstorms. The electrically charged air, the smell of ozone, and the petrichor rising from soil that has been longing for rain. To me, Murice Imperiale is exactly this: a continuous dialogue between atmosphere, sea and vegetation, translated into a tropical setting. With a little less reliance on those aggressive fixatives, it would have been a small masterpiece. Which is a shame, because the formula clearly reflects genuine research and dedication. It features some truly uncommon materials: French red coralline algae absolute, a vacuum extraction of red coral, tuberose absolute, and even natural ambergris. The latter is inevitably overshadowed by the synthetic amber materials, but its presence still speaks to a very deliberate creative vision. Finally, Cavagna strikes a deeply personal chord. My family comes from Trapani, where coral craftsmanship was once an important part of the local identity. Today that tradition has largely disappeared—and, in many ways, rightly so—but it remains a cherished memory. Every time I wear this fragrance, it quietly brings that world back to me.

Cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this scent! All the fragrance accords I want - marine, green, amber! It starts with a punch of gingery melon - a passing beat before it moves to a watery distant tuberose before setting into a rich long lasting musky amber that stays and stays. A good 7 to 8 hours. Very much the feeling of lazily floating on a wooden raft in a gentle salty inlet where a cacophony of tuberose plants have bloomed filing the air with their intoxicating scent. For reference lands somewhere between Jusbox Feel N' Chill and Cheeky Smile. Both amber base fragrances. Where is my FB??!!! on it's way. :)

Incredibly interesting and evocative. I'm transported to an undersea village, futuristic yet artisan cottages surrounded by serene kelp forests. There is a sense of movement, of the waters flow coming and going. However, as far as wearing it, and what it smells like if you don't let yourself fall into this imaginary landscape... well it smells of mold and damp earth under a more standard aquatic floral. That moldy geosmine is just too much.
