Rosén

First of all. This is NOT a designer fragrance. If you have no true niche experience, this will probably be too challenging. If you know that "Dark Tales" is not just the brand, but also what to expect in terms of theme, you'll be pleasantly surprised I purchased the "complete collection set". So this is a review from the sample. On me: The opening is strong. I get; cocoa, woods, a balsamic/ambery note, and mushrooms. It shouldn't be pleasant, but it Really is. It reminds me of a liquor chocolate (closest comparison i can think of is Tom Ford, Black Orchid. But they don't smell the same at all). A touch sweet, strong liquor-like, and almost soft texture to the nose. It doesn't make sense, but it smells divine (if you enjoy these kind of fragrances) In the mid, i feel like it turns towards a wet cave floor, with a cocoa note in the background. It has that dark, damp, earthy, moss and mushroom smell. Very interesting, and like noting else i've ever smelled (getting close to 1000 different smelled fragrances now). It still smells like a perfume, and is quite wearable. For the dry down, the scent has pulled back quite a bit, and is now a nice medium-close scent bobble of glorious "damp cave". I struggle to find specific notes. But the damp mushroom with cocoa/cacao. Very wearable in the dry-down. This is a fall/winter fragrance. Night time. For when you want to stand out and get All the attention from anyone who gets inside your scent bobble. Not what i'd call a teen fragrance in any way. Personal score: 9.25/10. I love it, and i had to get a full bottle. The versatility score isn't high. This is a "specific situations" fragrance. But OMFG is it good!

First impression, isch! It has something sour almost rancid peaking through at first with some weird almost coca-cola note in the background. This is so not my type of scent, it feels almost like an attack on my perception of smell. You definitely pick up on the cocoa and woods but they're offset by something sour, almost like vinegar. I might be the grapefruit. This is not the powdery cacao that you find in witching hour, but a more perfumey one almost giving potpurri. 2/10.
