Hekate

Hekate is a very addict warm, spicy fragrance. While absolutely unisex, it might mean slightly more masculine. Darren blends his fragrances masterfully, so picking out all the notes becomes a challenge. You definitely get the spices, honey, fir, resins and castoreum. I don’t feel his scents are ever grossly animalic but more added to give a fullness and richness to the scents. I highly recommend sampling this, and I’m content niche/indie enthusiasts will go nuts for this unique beauty.

Hard to discern the multiple elements that make up this fragrance as it is wonderfully crafted and blended. It comes of syrupy sweet and spices with animalic touches to ground it. It is definitely unisex to me and long lasting. Well made and strong... as others have mentioned, I can actually get the vibe of a witch or Halloween.

Feral chthonic prunes, a name scratched backward into their sticky surface, dropped into a thousand-year-old well. A cursèd exhale of incense, ghostly smoke, dank stone, a mist of acrid acid fog. Earthen, rooty, and funky, the damp, gloomy underside of things. Soil rich with a vein of raisin, chutney trapped in amber, wrapped in a leather scroll. Something that emerged from the crossroads' darkness, walks through shadows and leaves no footprints, something that demons would cross the street to avoid but that the wolves would follow home.

Plastic smoke, green loam, and sweet syrup, possibly vanilla syrup. Really not great on me, so I scrubbed it and THEN it was much nicer, with a spiced witchy incense feel. So points for longevity but the scrubbed version was so much more pleasant for me!

If the ending of Robbert Egger's The Witch was a perfume. Warm, woodsy, spicy, and definitely animalic where it counts. Truly it smells like the Salem Witch Trials but like also you're a celebrity at the Oscars?
