Cool Water Pacific Summer Edition for Men

Underneath the unoriginal composition, Pacific summer edition 2017 is a good perfume. The notes are nothing new, in fact, they are as basic and common as it can get but it smells really nice. And in my head I'm screaming to myself "you should hate this fragrance!" But I don't. I'm enjoying it. Juniper is the predominant note, the citrus are noticeable at the opening, later the green herbs and finally the light woods. Sillage is alright at first but quickly decreases staying close to skin.

WEAK. I had never owned a weaker scent ! Shame on them for labelling it as an EdT, EdC more like. Reduced it to freshening my linens and bed sheets

I was comparing this with Azzaro chrome in the shop. I already know the original Cool Water scent, but in comparison with Azzaro Chrome, this fragrance is more dimensional/has more depth. At the time, the assistant also recommended CK Eternity Aqua. Overall, CK Eternity Aqua appeared to be better than Cool Water Pacific Summer Edition in terms of more complex notes used in the ingredients (from smelling it), but was more musky, which I was not so keen about. Although, I would have chosen Cool Water Pacific Summer Edition, I decided to buy Azzaro Chrome, as I knew it was a popular choice, and I didn't have it - it is more one dimensional, but that is not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion, especially if not wanting to attract attention too much, but still have a pleasant scent. I definitely think Cool Water Pacific Summer Edition would be a great choice (especially for those who already have, or have already tried the original Cool Water or Azzaro Chrome). I also think Aqva Amara was nice, but it is too bright for me I think.

I have a weird thing for Cool Waters so I had to add this one to the collection. It's not my favorite of flankers from the House of Davidoff but it's still enjoyable. It opens with a slightly spicy mint before quickly drying down to mostly a juniper and water scent which reminds me of a nice beach experience. If you already have other Cool Waters this is a nice variant to have but I'll still stick with Ocean Extreme for more casual wear.

I wore this yesterday and honestly thought it smelled identical to CW Coral Reef Edition. It's the original Cool Water with a heftier dose of mint, and not much else. Could be my imagination, but I thought I smelled a heavier violet note in Pacific, making it a little more like Green Irish Tweed with mint rather than CW, but my mind may have been trying to fill in the gaps. I think it's time for Davidoff to cool it with the Cool Waters.

Almost all of summer editions of cool water that i've tested are somehow exactly like cool water / green irish tweed, that's why i love them all! And this one of course too :D

All cool water flankers smelled same, but the bottles seems very attractive
