Kimono Yui

Kimono Yui was such a pleasant surprise! I discovered Decorté while visiting Tokyo a few years ago and fell in love with their beautiful, luxurious branding. This perfume stood out to me in particular because its scent profile resembled other perfumes I love (such as Delina La Rosée and Ballerina No 1 by Les Parfums de Rosine). Last Christmas, my mom gifted me Kimono Yui and I instantly fell in love! It’s everything I want in a perfume — Sweet, rosy, and floral with a musk and woody base. It’s like springtime in a bottle! Overall, a very underrated perfume and I could not recommend it more.

This is a beautiful and happy little thing! It instantly lifts my mood when I spray it and I want to keep smelling this. It is inspired by a Japanese citrus fruit called Sudachi, which I read is zesty and sour, often used instead of lemon or lime in cooking. I get a blast of citrus and a gentle orange blossom in the initial spray and then it blends beautifully. Sillage is moderate and longevity is 3 to 5 hours, but it is an EDT, so pretty decent. I wear it as a daytime fragrance to run errands, go to the gym, or just feel fresh and beautiful at home. Full bottle worthy and 8/10 ❤😍

Elegant feminine scent. All Decorté kimono perfumes were amazing, It was so hard to pick just one of them. I think this would be safe blind buy, because it such comforting nice feminine fragrance. It's not loud or strong, very delicate, it doesn't last long, but you would expect that from Japanese brand.

It's more white floral than citrus for me, giving clean girl aesthetic. The longevity is moderate, but I'm satisfied. Suitable for everyday wear, even at work.

Yui opens bright, clean, a citrus-tinged neroli during the first stretch of morning. There’s a softness to it, something effortlessly pretty, like a freshly ironed dress, or rather, a kimono ribbon tied just so. The heart, a lightweight swirl of pastel florals, is dewy and delicate, never too heady, never too bold. A safe kind of feminine, distinctly japanese beauty. It fades into a skin-like hush of musk and woods. Easy. Also the kind of scent that makes you wonder if it was ever there at all. Yui is like a young maiden charming in the simplicity of her beauty, personality elegant yet demure, one that never quite insists on being noticed. With her, any man can feel put together, polished—but does she necessarily spark any special type of joy?, or romance? Maybe. Maybe not. Or maybe just enough.

Oh my.. I'm in love. I was not expecting much, as I didn't care for the other ones from this series. But this is everything I wanted and hoped for! It's so well rounded Light, airy, happy, fresh, clean, feminine. Not too much of anything, strikes a perfect balance. I only have the travel so far, but I foresee a full bottle in my collection soon <3 *Editing to mention that this smells nothing like Chloé Love Story (which I own), although I could see Chloé dropping a perfume just like it

I really like this perfume very light and fresh. With that of course, there’s no longevity I got 2 hours on skin. What made me laugh is I let my husband smell it and he said that smells like a Victoria’s Secret something or another I was like oh no it does, it smells like bombshell but more blended.oh well I love it but I wouldn’t buy it again. I like it enough to keep it for the half price I paid in Ultas sale.

First impressions: (small bottle) Am I crazy but this smells like Clinique happy without the dry note and more bright/citrusy. This smells like a luxurious shampoo which is nice. Edit 1: This is a pretty gym scent to me. Very light and faded away quickly. This wouldn’t be a signature scent for me but it’s quite a pick me up make me happy scent. Verdict- pass, but it’s a very girly I’m happy gym scent.

sooo light, fresh and citrusy. delicate and feminine, a really good scent if u want something very non offending but still noticeable. the dry down is a nice light musk. fades pretty fast from the skin but as expected as its a water based perfume. i blind bought this and am not let down!!!!

Like the first blush of dawn filtering through a silk shoji screen, Kimono Yui is gentle yet luminous. A soft breeze of mandarin and peach skin brushes the senses, sweet but never cloying, as if the petals themselves are exhaling. Beneath, sheer white florals sway in quiet harmony, draped in the whisper of airy musk. It feels like slipping into a freshly laundered kimono on a spring morning — clean, tender, and impossibly serene. A fragrance that doesn’t speak loudly, yet lingers like a cherished memory.

Wow this is gorgeous. It is a happy and super girly scent, with citrus, rose, magnolia, musk, cedar. After the citrus notes, I mostly get rose and magnolia with a woody base. It is well done, it feels like it has a good amount of natural oils, reminds me of some scents from the past. It doesn't smell synthetic. Very good.
