Fragrance 01 Taunt

i love love love it. it's one of a kind and i haven't smelled anything like it. it's kind of like the smell of old blush in your mom's purse, a cosmetic bag, or what you thought a perfume store would smell like as a kid. i went to a couple of parties wearing this perfume, and i can definitely say it's perfect for nighttime because it gives me this quiet confidence (tip: pair it with a good brown lip liner). i can't stop sniffing my arm whenever i spray it. one problem is, literally no one can smell it on me. and it wears down within half an hour. i had a travel-sized version twice, and at first i had decided not to buy another one because i felt like it only existed in my mind. tried to experiment by spraying it on my hair, my clothes, my skin - no success, it would still wear down very quickly. but i just couldn't forget it, and bought another one. now i just use it when i want to feel like i'm the main character in a romcom. again, it gives me this feeling of quiet confidence and optimism, but in a very nonchalant, cool girl way? i also purchased their room + linen spray in taunt and hated it. sadly it lacked the sweet notes that i love in taunt. it projects better but there's literally no sweetness left, almost like it's deprived of the optimism and rom-com-ish quality the perfume has. planning to buy a full-sized version and just spray it on my skin and clothes in generous amounts (which is hard when you have a travel size bottle) lol

I'm just beginning my perfume collecting hobby and so far I am a big fan of: Indigo by Nest, Dedcool Milk, Dedcool Blonde, and Fulton and Roark Cloudland. My favorite notes are tea, petrichor (like Mitti Attar), and florals. I have yet to try more fragrances though. I actually really like this surprisingly, as I am not usually a fan of vanilla. I think I have a misconception about vanilla that it is very gourmand-y. All the vanilla's I've smelled have been very gourmand and fruit heavy which tends to give me a headache. For example YSL Libre Intense. But with this fragrance, the vanilla is not overpowering. I have found that it projects well with 3 sprays, a couple on my clothes and one on my skin right after showering and putting lotion on, on my way out to meet my mom for lunch. My mom complimented the fragrance right away when she stepped in my car, and she liked it. It's not a heavy scent, but I would wear it for an evening out. It takes on my skin very well, wraps around it like a hug. I notice that fragrances tend to become warm on my skin, and does not seem to absorb sweet sugar fragrances very well. So this fragrance compliments that very well because it's more of a warm fragrance to me. It isn't too heavy though, but that's what I like otherwise I get headaches. It feels like Blonde's mature sister.

This is a wonderfully understated, cute scent. This smells like sweet musky skin, and clean laundry, and floral, all in a subdued way. I will be wearing this frag every day until further notice. I LOVE! It has moderate sillage in the beginning. After about 4 hours of wear, it turns into an intimate skin scent on me. Disclaimer: JHAG Not a Perfume and You by Glossier both smell like BO on me; I think it's a certain type of wood, as well as pink pepper that has this unfortunate effect when left on my skin. So, I wouldn't say this is like a typical skin scent. I apply 2-3 sprays in the morning, and then 2 more sprays after lunch, and that lasts me until I'm ready for bed. I would say it lasts as long as an average scent. It's not eternal, but because of this quality I have more control over the strength and sillage. My controversial opinion is that not everyone wants a scent with eternal duration! If I were to link this scent to a scene it would mostly be scenes like: wearing your partners flannel because you're cold, accidentally splashing vanilla extract on your clothes when baking and not noticing until afterwards, being the sibling of a sister that wears viva la juicy and her leaving a little bit of caramel/vanilla everywhere she goes.

I really, really like this one. Something about the way this smells is so nostalgic for me. It's just a gorgeous blend of sweet, powdery, fresh, clean and comforting. It gives off "young and carefree" vibes but isn't a "young" perfume. I've been wearing it all winter and spring and I cannot wait to wear it this summer. I get the most beautiful, yummy whiffs of it when I'm outside and the wind blows. My husband who doesn't usually like perfume loves this one. I quickly scanned through some reviews to see what others thought of it and I noticed lots of people downvoting it because it smells like fruit loops, as if that's a bad thing LOL. It definitely does smell like the fruit loop milk left in the bowl after the cereal has been eaten. SO GOOD!! Or like a London Fog. I stop at a small local coffee shop on my way to camp every summer to get a London Fog and wearing this perfume gives me the same happy carefree feeling I get from starting my summer holidays! I don't like musk and I find the musk in this is very soft and doesn't bother me. It's a perfect wear to work kind of perfume. It won't be overwhelming to other people's noses but they'll notice that you smell nice, warm and clean.

This perfume is just unlike anything else I've ever smelt. Literally fell in love at first sniff. I'm a vanilla girly, and I've honestly never smelt a vanilla like this. It is such a clean, fresh vanilla scent and doesn't lean overly sweet or heavy gourmand. The dew drop note adds a beautiful crispness and freshness. This scent would be perfect for a spring/summer day out in the park or downtown, but could easily work for any season. To me this scent evokes the feeling of taking an everything shower and laying in freshly washed sheets before bed, or walking outside on a sunny day with a cool breeze. I LOVE the Xtra Milk perfume, it is one of my most complimented ones. This is like Xtra Milk's sister or cousin, as another comment mentions, it has the Xtra Milk DNA which I am not upset about. I have yet to purchase this but plan on doing so. I know a lot of comments say this is underwhelming but I find it to be one of the most unique scents I've ever smelt. I think this is a great option if you love vanilla scents but don't want a typical gourmand (coming from a gourmand lover), especially with all the hype around gourmand scents right now.

This is one of my favorite scents! Unfortunately, like DedCool’s Xtra Milk it doesn’t last very long after you spray it and the sillage isn’t very strong unless someone is up on you or you just sprayed it. BUT- they have a room and linen spray that actually smells like the perfume, it’s less expensive, so I use it as a room spray but also spray my clothes with it. And, if you like incense- the Taunt incense is the best smelling incense I’ve ever smelled and it burns for quite awhile. I know that’s not perfume, but just thought I’d share for those who love the way this perfume smells but are disappointed in the scent not lasting long in the perfume-at least your house can smell amazing. The candle is ok, it smells a tad different from the perfume. Oh, and they also make a pet fragrance in this scent. I sometimes use that like a body spray and my doggies smell good too! 😆

I had this over a year ago - bought it while on vacay in a quaint boutique in a beach town. I went thru a travel size in a few months. Never repurchased but i keep thinking about it... i really miss it! This is so good! This is not super sweet gourmand nor juvenile vanilla. It is more of a green vanilla. I used to use this to top off other perfumes with similar notes throughout the day. It is very wearable, inoffensive, but still has something unique that i cant find anywhere else. I received compliments on this one. I think i may get it again. That dew drop accord is really something else. I cant articulate why i like it, i just do! Update: i finally (after almost a year!) got it again today! It smells even better than i recall! I love it! I do get a fruitloop vibe but in a great way! I am so happy! I feel like i have been reunited with my long lost partner!

This is a perfect everyday scent. I'll admit I was hesitant about the brand because of all the hype on social media telling me to SMELL LIKE A COOL GIRL. I picked up a travel size a few months ago because I thought it was pleasant, and now I can't get enough of it. Definitely going to be buying a full bottle as soon as this smaller one is through. It's slightly sweet but not overtly so, and the bergamot adds some brightness and levity to prevent things from feeling too cloying. The amber base is also quite smooth, adding to the easygoing nature of the overall feel. Taunt doesn't try too hard, doesn't smell too loud, but it's more intentional than a subtle "your skin but better" situation. For me, it deserves the hype. After all these years and memories of eating lunch with the other weird kids in the cafeteria, I'm finally a cool girl!

I am IN LOVE with this fragrance. Taunt is a perfect everyday fragrance that works especially well as a warm, cozy, crowd-pleasing fall and winter scent. Bergamot is one of my favorite notes and it shines through without the perfume being too citrusy thanks to the gorgeous light amber and vanilla. HOWEVER, I simply cannot allow myself to buy it again because it simply does not last longer than an hour on my skin and clothes. I went through an entire bottle over the course of one winter season because I felt like I had to overspray it to make it last. Though the price is decent, it's not worth it if the scent doesn't last long. If I could find something with a similar DNA that lasted longer, then I think this would be a great layering fragrance to go with it, but alas, I have yet to find something similar that lasts longer.

I really love this perfume. It's a fresh vanilla with a bit of sweet greeness. It reminds me a bit of milk and clean laundry. It sits very close to the skin but actually lasts a long time (probably because of how oily it is). I think that even someone who doesn't typically like perfume would enjoy this. Its very light and clean. I don't usually gravitate towards perfumes in the "fresh and clean" category, but I love Taunt. Try the soap and lotion! The lotion layers so well with so many other fragrances. It amplifies and adapts to almost everything. Taunt got reformulated and I haven't tried the new one, but supposedly it is a higher concentration of the exact same scent and will last longer. Cant wait to try it!

Flower nectar droplets running down lush, soft cassis leaves meets supple, soft, vanilla. The sweetness the bergamot brings to the dew drops brings garden fairy imagery to mind. She's just watered the whole garden. To me, taunt is simple, yet unique, at the same time. It's bright, dewy, and sweet. Maybe it's basic to others, but I haven't smelled an *only* bergamot and vanilla combo like this before. It has the classic, warm, Dedcool "milk" dna, and combined with bergamot and vanilla, it's such a unique sweetness to me. I really like it.

I love this fragrance. I can't stop smelling my wrist when I wear it. I don't like heavy gourmand vanillas and this one strikes the perfect balance. The dew notes in the top are really pleasant, and the cassis in the middle gives it depth. I don't think it's the most complex fragrance in the world, so if you're looking for something that really evolves on the skin this might not hit the mark for you, but if you're looking for a cozy, well-balanced vanilla that doesn't smell like a birthday cake you should give this a try.

the amber note in this fragrance is what really got me hooked. as soon as i smelt it i thought it reminded me of my childhood, like an argan oil my mom used in my hair after showers. its warm and cozy, light enough for daytime use. i like to wear it any time, and i'll even use it to lounge at home because it's just that comforting. its a simple fragrance with a pretty basic vanilla, ambery dry down with a more aquatic opening. regardless i love it. one of my signature scents that is just right for any occasion

I completely fell in love with this scent. I bought a full bottle the moment my sample ran out. It’s a beautiful, soft, dewy clean fragrance with just the right touch of sweetness from the vanilla. It smells like a lush garden on an early, dew-soaked morning. The only issue is the longevity, which is absolutely terrible. It doesn’t even dry down into a skin scent — it just disappears from my skin entirely after barely two hours. Incredibly frustrating, because it smells both fantastic and quite unique.

Got this as a sample... this is super yummy! I could see this being good for layering. I might have to get a full bottle or at least a mini spray of this. Could easily enhance other perfumes or give them a vanilla grounding. This is really nice! Can’t wait to smell it when my covid is completely gone and my nose is in full working order... Edit: dont buy anything while you have covid. What smells good then might not smell so good later. 😂 its not bad, but I dont like it quite as much as I did.

something magical happens when i spray this on my skin. it's 2000s friend's house, vanilla, musky, amber bliss. a scent that snuggles close to the skin and, also, makes you want to cuddle up with someone. this works on seriously anyone; my best friend and i have been swapping a sample back and forth, and i am totally planning on buying another bottle. only critiques is it's weakish longevity and.. don't overdo it (though that can be said about any fragrance).

I love this. It sits very close to the skin but it just smells... fluffy and light. I have this issue that my skin doesn't amplify vanilla notes very well and they're often overpowered by woods and herbal notes. But with this one I have this lovely light vanilla bubble closely around me without it being gourmand. It is so pleasant and works for office settings. I will definitely keep a bottle of this in my collection until the end of time.

Diverse perfume! Winter, summer, day, night, I think it works for all occasions but maybe that's just my biased opinion. I will add that Taunt and Milk are the only 2 perfumes that people have stopped me to ask what I was wearing. Taunt smells like a slightly sweeter Milk yet it is still musky and strong. It doesn't give me a headache but I would say I have to take breaks from wearing it after a while, still love it though.

I generally don’t get along with vanilla scents as I find them sickly sweet and overpowering. Taunt is the exception. It’s vanilla, but it’s still fresh and cool, with some floral and green notes to balance the sweetness. Weirdly, the citrus become more prominent during the drydown, and I’m left with something akin to an orange + vanilla ice cream. It’s lovely. I will pick up a full bottle for autumn.

I was shocked how much I like this one. Sweet, vanilla-y scents do not normally appeal to me but when I noticed on the ingredients that ginseng and carrot root were included, I gave it a whirl. I can't tell you exactly what it smells like because the scent notes are not what translates but I absolutely adore it. On me it smells VERY powerful unlike other scents that disappear quickly.

This is sooooo not my usual type of fragrance but I have been wearing it everyday because the nostalgia is UNREAL! As a 90s kid...this just transported me. It reminds me of brushing your Barbie's hair, hugging a cabbage patch doll, opening your Polly pocket. It just smells like that sweet scented plastic in the best way possible. I love it so much. It is like comfort in a bottle.

coming back to the taunt reviews to express how much i love this scent for the fall/winter months... it's the perfect colder weather going out scent- its a sexy ambery vanilla with a hint of green/spicy. i got the travel spray and literally bring it with me wherever i go because she's so gorgeous<33 edible but fresh at the same time. good projection and decent longevity too!

A delightfully dewy vanilla. Vapour-like and airy, akin to breathing in an unearthly, sweet smelling citrus fog, or inhaling the rising, spiralling steam from a warm vanilla citron drink. Comforting and familiar, yet texturally mysterious. Humid vanilla rain brewed and bottled by some godly elfin creature. Also has pretty good longevity at 6+ hours

This smells exactly like a freshly opened bag of fruity pebbles. When I layer it with Nest Indigo, it smells identical to a bag of loose leaf Earl Grey Crème tea. It’s a little citrusy from the bergamot, and the vanilla is so light and airy. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, and very comforting. I literally can’t stop sniffing my arm when I spray it.

This is just the perfect combination of warm sweet vanilla and fresh clean skin. Probably the most versatile fragrance in my collection, I love to wear this at work as it’s not too much and always get compliments when I do !! Definitely my favourite from Dedcool. I also love to layer this with Xtramilk for more of a fresh clean laundry vibe.

This is a clean vanilla yet warm at the same time and slightly sweet. It does remind me of fruity pebbles in an adult way it’s an all season scent leaning more towards fall winter and maybe spring for me . The dry down is amber and just gorgeous. It’s not a complex scent but one I reach for often , especially on date nights.

Smells like rain and vanilla cream. Clean, but creamy. Cooling and refreshing, but warm and cozy. Simple, easy to wear, inoffensive, but intoxicating. Gives Phlur Missing Person vibes, but the person wasn't missing - it's a cozy comforting calming person giving you a hug. Lasting power decent, spillage is soft and intimate.

got a sample as a freebie and i love it- very clean vanilla almost to the point of not being vanilla anymore, and prominent amber, the rest of the notes do fade very quickly, or aren't really present to me, unfortunately. i still really enjoy the versatility of it, being both sweet and clean, and not overpowering.

This perfume smells like a dream. Like wearing a soft robe that was just taken out of the laundry, it’s still warm from being in the drier. Taunt is so cozy and feels like a hug and being safe. It’s a dewy, sweet, milky vanilla with subdued sweetness. Reminiscent of fruit loops cereal with milk & drier sheets.

I like this it’s a fun flirty warm vanilla that isn’t like vanilla extract or too food cake like. It has a sweet fruity pebbles feel but in a sexy way. good for any season or occasion and it reminds me of cavalli just her that I used to wear many moons ago except this is a bit creamier and better.

This reminds me of a memory I have of standing in a freshly painted house, with all of the windows open, and getting a waft of some really sweet, vanillary flowers and springtime dew from the grassy garden outside. It's unique but also really wearable- this is definitely my kind of perfumery lol

This fragrance starts off with a refreshing vanilla, amber, and bergamot blend that's not too sweet, giving it a cool girl vibe. It's cozy and subtle, perfect for everyday wear. When it dries down, it smells a bit like fruity pebbles like a few mentioned but not in a childish or juvenile way.

Beautiful ambery vanilla. It’s very soft but gives enough to not make me feel I have to layer it under other fragrances. Definitely an intimate fragrance, you won’t be in a scent cloud when you walk down the hall (or make someone sneeze) but it will be noticeable if you’re very near someone.

one of my very favorite vanilla fragrances. I bought 15ml of this baby during my first ever trip to California, and its soothing aquatic notes will always bring me back to my week on the pacific. it's gentle, tasteful, evergreen, and youthful. super nostalgic. I love her <3

This is one of my favorite scents right now. It's very clean and relaxing. Milk isn't one of the notes in this scent but it's very creamy and laconic in the dry down. I don't know what it is, but I think it smells like a white amber musk. I would wear this all year round.

I feel naked not wearing any scent at all, so I reach for Taunt in occasions where a heavy perfume might not be appropriate. This is my go-to for the office since it sits so close to the skin. A nice, sweet, inoffensive vanilla which is freshened up by the dew drop note.

This is subtley sweet like Mochi Milk, but more sultry. Taunt is more femme and warm than Xtra Milk... It's intimate, but I can smell it eminating from my wrists when I usw my phone. This is what I needed as a light alternative to Burberry Goddess which I wear often.

Really lovely vanilla, but it’s a freshie vanilla, not a cupcake vanilla. I don’t have anything else like it. Like all of Dedcool’s fragrances, works best if you think of it as a body oil/base layer.

First tip - layer it with Dedcool milk, thus, the scent will remain on skin the whole day. It is absolutely beautiful fragrance that you can wear for absolutely any occasion or any season.

Think fresh laundry meets warm vanilla. It’s cozy and somehow very nostalgic to me. I could sniff this for hours because it’s just THAT good. I just wish it had more longevity and sillage.

smells like fruity pebbles from the bergamot! I was getting a whiff of sunscreen as well. reminds me of being younger and my mom smelled like suntan lotion, fresh out the salon.

Bought the travel size for a trip to Mexico. Perfect scent for lounging on the beach during the day or a hot sweaty night out. Very easy to wear and almost addicting.

I was to drown in it! so nicely sweet and clean, warm but not too much, it's fairly subtle but just beutiful!
