A little overwhelmingly licorice at first spray, but the dry down is a nice flowery honeyed musk. Good longevity; I can still smell 6+ hours after applying. I'm not sure I would buy a full bottle, but it's a good, sweet unisex scent.

This is another one of those "one spritz on the back of my hand from a sample vial, and holy cow, can I *ever* tell it's there!" perfumes. It's definitely no slouch in the sillage or longevity departments. I get a tiny bit of licorice in the initial stages, but I find that I truly need to pay attention in order to notice it -- this isn't a full-blown, licorice-centric scent, like Kerosene's Black Vines... instead, Canvas is a scent which just so happens to contain a licorice note as part of the composition. How I perceive this seems to depend on how close my nose is to my skin when I smell it. Up close, I can detect a bouquet of blended florals. The geranium and peony seem most prominent on me. (And, once again, they are *strong!* One spray is sufficient.) As I increase the distance from my skin to my nose, the perfume begins to feel less floral and a bit more "soapy/clean." The musk feels like it belongs in the "laundry musk" category, as I cannot detect anything dirty or animalic in the composition. I also feel like I am experiencing a watery or ozonic note at times -- which is not something I had expected, based upon the notes list. Try as I might, I can't pick up any seaweed, rhubarb, or patchouli... I'm sure they're in there, but they are quite well-disguised. After giving it a reasonable amount of time, I still detect the same notes -- although the peony becomes more prominent on me, whereas the geranium recedes into the background as time passes; the overall impression I come away with is a perfume that is fresh and soapy, with some squeaky-clean floral elements (nothing indolic here!). It strikes me as gender-neutral... I really could picture this scent on anyone. I can't picture myself purchasing a full bottle of this, simply because I don't feel as though it suits my style; however, there was nothing about it that made me actively dislike it, and I'd be open to trying the brand's other offerings.

as i am currently obsessed with honey notes in perfume, i keep on looking for them everywhere to find that perfect animalic sticky semi-sweet nuance. here i probably get what I wanted although the white florals, pepper and anise are so in your face that it pulls me in completely different direction. definitely unique, although i get these pepperminty vibes that I’m not sure I can handle.

Both ACT and CANVAS have this very prominent chlorine note, reminding of a swimming pool. These are OK fragrances leaning very masculine to me, so it's difficult to access the notes for me. Canvas does have this messy dusty note reminding of Bapteme de feu, if this is what you are look
