Les Creations de Monsieur Dior Diorissimo Eau de Parfum

09/05/14 19:10 Best rework of the vintage Juice by far today - the more you know. As it turns out, It was the worst case scenario for my relationship with this perfume. It's a testament of how cheap Dior has become, the bottle for my cap broke in the least amazing way possible. It was a shock when It was springtime 2024, went to reach for my bottle to happily layer it over Gabrielle Essence only to find It ORANGE AND GONE. It somewhat feels like the death of a friend, or like when you see a persons the true self. There is no metal ring below the plastic cap-holder, and the base of the nozzle does not have an isolating rubber, a portion of the perfume evaporated and the oils and some water remained on the bottle. I know It Will never smell the same way as a fresh bottle, but while decanting the leftovers, I tried the oils on my skin. Besides the opening -which smells like an incredibly synthetic and sharp "illusion" of Diorissimo - the Jasmine and musk prevail, I'd say It dries down to a very faint Pure Poison. Projection does not exist, I am waiting for a batch of cosmetic grade ethanol to arrive so I can disolve and give back some "power" by adding an evaporator back to the formula. However, this is nothing new. I've been using this for layering for the last four years or so, on top of Tresor in Love and Dior Addict eau Sensuelle. Like I said, I probably had this bottle over a decade, after some while the decrease in the formula quality was pretty evident. It never turned, but It started smelling more synthetic and chemical. Like Laundry soap, a very expensive one. Thankfully I was able to get a half 100ml bottle of Diorissimo EDT (batch code from 2008). Vintage, definite takeaway it's linear but still radiates, and stays true to the original composition, prevails on skin over Diorissimo CdM. It's terrible that this is the replacement for Diorissimo :( they should invest on natural materials again.

Stunning and Definitive! Diorissimo EDP is a beautiful Lily of the Valley perfume. The LOTV is blended with jasmine and a bouquet of greenery. I can spray 1 or 2 sprays and it lasts for several hours. I only spray my wrists. I don't wear this on my chest. This is a strong floral. When I do touch up, I just use one spray. It never becomes cloying because of the greenery and the light underpinning of musk. The fragrance is beautifully nuanced with notes additional to what are listed. The dry down is not to be missed. I had a travel size of the EDT. For me, the EDP is definitely more concentrated. It is also smoother and less indolic. The EDP is a bit denser and doesn’t open up quite as much as the EDT. I will be purchasing a large bottle of the EDT also because I think both blends are beautiful. I like having many different types of fragrances in my collection. This is a must for me because it is unique and beautiful. If you are considering buying a bottle don’t wait. I shudder to think what MFK will do to this beauty if he gets his hands on it. Not to cast any shade but I’m not a fan of any of his Dior fragrances that I have tested to date. I do love Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait. However, Dior is a luxury brand and the fragrances have been exceptional and time honored. I’m not liking the change. There are several Dior fragrances I intend to purchase this year before they are reformulated.

This is strictly for EDP version of Diorissimo. EDT is sharper and somewhat different, I was not impressed with EDT. Diorissimo EDP is hands down the best lily of the valley or shall I say it's the truest lily of the valley. I used to wear Lulu Guinness which has lot of lotv, but is sweeter and girlish and I grew out of it . Diorissimo is not sweet, it's fresh, it's dewy, it starts green and dries to white blossoms. To me Diorissimo is grown up, established, elegant, sophisticated, "respect me" lily of the valley. I totally get it why it was Princess Diana's signature fragrance, these two were made for each other :) With appropriate outfit and occasion Diorissimo makes you feel like a princess yourself. However, Diorissimo has one very big con - staying power. It's gone within 2 hours. I reach for it often, as it is my "I don't know what to wear today" scent and my bottle is getting empty fast. Oh well, but that's usually the case with these frag's you love, they disappear fast, but those you don't like, they linger there for 12+ hours (after scrubbing).

Oh this is absolutely stunning!! While I know the original 1956 Roudnitska creation is considered to be the ultimate version of this -- and I can only imagine how incredible that must be -- I am 100% thrilled with this version. I first smelled this at a perfume shop in Charles de Gaulle and very nearly bought it on the spot, but restrained myself for some silly reason. From the first sniff it's the most drop dead gorgeous, photorealistic lily of the valley scent you've ever encountered. As if that weren't enough, it wafts beautifully and LASTS throughout the day, with the floral aspects fading and a very clean and comforting facet developing some hours later. I actually wore this to bed recently and the next night when I went to bed I thought: "What smells so nice??" Ahhhh, the inimitable, breathtaking Diorissimo!!! And perhaps this is the first perfume in my collection that made me think ..."if i had to choose only one...." Bravissimo, Demachy!!

Diorissimo is the most perfectly imagined muguet (lily of the valley) bouquet, a classic French beauty that has withstood the test of time. Originally introduced by Christian Dior in 1956, Diorissimo is the epitome of femininity, charm, and timeless elegance. A favorite of Princess Diana, Diorissimo was also reportedly worn by Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, Princess Grace and her daughter, Princess Caroline. As muguet symbolizes purity, joy, love, sincerity, happiness and luck, Diorissimo would be perfect for a bride. It's also one of my favorite perfumes to wear to church. I adore Diorissimo in its current EDP form. Three spritzes last about 5 hours with the loveliest, enveloping silage... A truly exquisite fragrance!

Lovely, pure and demure velvety white lilies gracefully leaning against a sparkling crystal vase. Very powdery and sombre, cold and distant... I may even say the fragrance is reminiscent of the funeral of a beautiful, elegant porcelain lady with ebony hair and delicate features. She’s laying in a bed of grey silk on a cold early spring morning, adorned in a lace bridal dress, bones protruding from her décolletage. This conjures images of purity and grace. It’s a polar feminine expression of the beautiful lily flower, however as opposed to Baiser vole, this focuses on the petals rather than the stem. There is very slightly spicy, bitter green bite in the dry down that adds maturity and seriousness to the scent trail.

White blooming spring bushes, bottled. It is June now and here in England, wherever I walk I am greeted with the most gorgeous natural whitw floral bushes. Some are jasmine, some are gardenias, some I cannot identify but they all are magnetic and mesmerizing. I inhale all I can while having my walks. I dream I could have those bushes growing under my window so that when the warm summer air gushes I can enjoy the scent... now I can. Diorissimo eau de parfum concentration smells like a million of those bushes! I imagine myself opening the window, it is a warm summer night with a full moon out, a light wind blows... this floral mystery is all I can smell :) 10/10

My signature scent! My partner got me this as it was my grail perfume for a very long time as a LotV fiend. I adore how this one is just elegant, fresh, and just beautiful. A lot of LotV are very sparkly green fresh to me, which I adore. Diorissimo EDP is different in the way that it's elevated by the jasmine and musk. For me, it last a good while and one of my bigger projectors, while still being intimate. I have almost every formulation of diorissimo, even vintage ones, and this one is still my favorite of them!

I have this one and the vintage Diorissimo edp. The vintage is a BIG boosh of indole, almost petroleum like in intensity, then settles into heavily indolic lilies. This has a brief indole very strong for the first few seconds, then quickly settles into lilies with a faint background of real vanilla, that gives an almost gourmand and voluptuous quality to the background of the heavy white flowers. Gorgeous, well worth a try if you can find it. Goodness knows why they discontinued it

It's an absolute masterpiece of a fragrance, an exquisite white floral that you can't help but fall in love with. Lily of the Valley can be unpleasant if it's badly formulated, but this is sumptuous and creamy, the notes are bright and glorious. It's not heavy, nor does it have great staying power, but it is a glorious creation. It's so different what's considered on trend right now, it's not sugary, not sweet, but it's ultimately feminine.

It’s my mom’s signature scent since forever so of course I love it and will always do :) But objectively speaking - if you are looking for a lily of the valley scent, look no more. This IS Lilly of the valley in a bottle. The most realistic I’ve ever smelt, equally to the one you find in nature. It’s incredible! Performance is excellent - very long lasting, with a great sillage and projection. 200% femininity. Must have for floral lovers!

Saw a video on yt of "What’s in my bag" by Naomi Campbell and this is her signature fragrance- so I had to try it out. I had never even heard of this one. The notes are exactly what the perfume is- a strong lily-of-the-valley and musk. A definition of springtime heaven of white florals. Super long lasting and has that vintage vibe to it. A dupe to this would be Springtime in a Park by Maison Margiela, which I adore. Just lovely!

I have the current vintage of Diorissimo. It feels pure and ethereal. I smell the notes just as listed: Lilly of the Valley, jasmine and very very gentle musk. It's fairy like. Update 1/23: Bought this 3 months ago. Today is stay at home rainy day. I thought I'd spritz some on. It was a bit too plasticy until the dry down. Not sure what that's all about. Update 3/5: Plastic is gone. Fairies and Heaven.

This reminds me of tiny little flowers that grew along the bricks of my childhood home, and I would gather them up in tiny little vases and put them in my dollhouse. It smells like a Madame Alexander doll whose painted face has been faded by sunlight, and warm floral teapots, and cold sage green. Think "Lily of the Valley Fairy" by Cicely Mary Barker. Perfect spring scent <3

Diorissimo feels like a stroll through the forest on a sunny morning. I can detect all the notes, but on my skin, it’s a beautifully pleasant jasmine burst. It’s refined and elegant, yet there’s something so delicate and ethereal about it that makes it perfectly wearable for anyone who adores florals. Remarkably long-lasting and an utterly charming scent all around.

My favorite parfum! I have the eau de toilet (EDT) and the eau de parfum (EDP), and the parfum is way worth the extra cost. This is one smooth perfume (every note is mild yet lasting). If you like florals, you will love this one. It's delicate and intoxicating. I wear it because it is a joy to my olfactory senses.

she is the moment! this is so pretty, a perfect lilly of the valley. it isnt sweet which might bother some, but i honestly love it. If you arent into florals on a daily basis, this one is such much more lovely. Not spicy, fruity or sweet. Simple yet perfection.

I do not know vintage version. Modern EDP is a masterpiece. It is must have or at least must try for any perfumista. Legend. I love it. Good staying power, do not buy a large bottle. 100% feminine. Cannot imagine it on a guy. Iconic lily of the valley.

Diorissimo by Dior is a beautiful light floral fragrance. It smells like spring - lily of the valley and hyacinth. It makes me happy whenever I wear it. The only downside is it doesn't last very long...but it is beautiful while it lasts.

Wow wow wow! Springtime in a bottle! Completely fresh, totally ageless. I am stunned that no lilac is listed because that’s what I smell, a realistic fresh lilac. One sniff will lower your blood pressure- get it for your health! 😉

An island of jasmine I like floral perfumes especially white floral one. very fantastic perfume. It alleviated my depressed mood and made me happy.

It makes you feel so refreshed to wear it in the summer time. It also give me a clean and single Jasmin notes.

Okey dokes, I tried this on my skin in a dept store, then second time in pharmacy. First time I thought too old, mature, that white floral that a lot of people do love but don’t work for me. Second time, tester card here it is: Creamy, floral, liquid freshness/coolness Fresh creamy florals I picture white or pinky flowers, not bitter or old but not youthful either and nor does it have to be. It’s not a thin type of fragrance nor fleeting I don’t think, it’s substantial and I will try it on skin to see what it does. I have the newer pink one from this line which Lis lovely but due to the fragrance type is a little more fleeting than I’d like. Oh, p.s. I have Michael Kors the one which has the taupe box with velvet and it slides out, anyway, I get that type of white floralness for the white floral section of notes, it doesn’t go bitter like michels kors glam jasmine does (on me)

Ma préférence va à l'EDP car, sur moi, l'EDT vire plutôt au désodorisant pour toilettes. Je trouve cette version plus capiteuse, plus sophistiquée également et la tenue tout comme le sillage sont bien meilleurs. Idéal pour le mois de mai, dont on célèbre l'arrivée par un brin de....muguet évidemment.

This is a very mature clean scent i absolutly love it because you really feel the lily of the valley. If you are up for fresh and extremly clean this is it. Go easy on the spraying can last for hours

A lovely lily of the valley dominated scent with a sensual side thanks to the inclusion of ylang ylang. A classic fresh green floral fragrance.

It feels like a niche perfume. It's clean and really pleasant.

Opulent, waxy and heady LOTV. Not as heady as vintage versions, but too heady for me.

I got lots of recommendations for Diorissimo since I love muguet scents so I finally bought it last week. As a matter of fact, I was disappointed that it was not the one I was looking for. In my skin, I can only smell hydroxy cinnamic aldehyde, and I think there are too much citronellol in this perfume. Some of my colleagues liked it though, so I think it is just not a fit for me.

Sadly, Diorissimo Eau de Parfum was a disaster for me: I love the original Eau de Toilette, Parfum and the long discontinued Esprit de Parfum (all of which were unmistakably variations of the same fragrance; each placing a slightly different emphasis on lily of the valley, jasmine and green notes). I blind-bought the Eau de Parfum, expecting it to fill the gap left by the discontinued Esprit de Parfum, but found this to be a very different fragrance, and certainly on my skin, unrecognisable from the other versions. The lily of the valley and jasmine were there, but completely changed and tainted by modern musk. (I'd draw parallels with fragrances like No 19 Poudre, or some of the Shalimar flankers, and their respective original versions). I stuck it on my skin for a few hours, but was very glad to wash it off, which wasn't easy, as it was very clingy. I gave my bottle away that day. Sadly, this didn't work for me, but lovers of modern musky floral fragrances will enjoy this, and probably more than the original versions.

I own 3 vintage Diorissimos. A 1/2 oz. pure perfume, a 4oz. edc.and a 2oz. edt. All are 90s or before. The other day I made some perfume purchases at Dior's site. In particular, I purchased J'Adore L'or which I couldn't find anywhere but at Dior's website. While there I decided to purchase a new edp. of Diorissimo. Within a day of ordering I received my order; which made me wonder if a drone dropped it off at my house. Simply amazing free shipping. Upon opening the beautifully wrapped Chinese Boxes, I took the Diorissimo out of it's box and stared at it in disbelief. It looked like lightly colored water. I ran to my bedroom and got my bottle of edc. and did a side by side visual comparison. Yep, the vintage edc. was considerably darker. Even accounting for age, my memory was that this perfume was still darker on initial purchase years ago than the present edp. today. It was the same story for the vintage edt. too. Next, I sprayed one wrist and tapped it to my other wrist, then sprayed once on each pulse point on my neck. The initial spray opened exactly like my vintage pure perfume - unlike my vintage edt. which starts out with a citrus burst and then the LOTV. And then, I barely smelled anything, only occasionally getting a whiff of scent. This is a big disappointment. The silage is abysmal. Within 3 hours all I could smell was the musky dry down, and that was only by smelling my wrist. To say I am disappointed is an understatement as this wasn't cheap. No matter how elegantly packaged, unless there is substance to a product it's just not worth the purchase. Unless Dior does something about adjusting the performance of their product I think all future purchases of this fragrance for me will be vintage only. It also soured me on 2 other fragrances I was interested in purchasing from them in the near future. I haven't tried the J'Adore L'or yet, but I hope it is the same strength as the tester I tried, otherwise that will be joining Diorissimo back to Dior too.

Diorissimo: This, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful lily of the valley perfumes ever created. This doesn't smell clean, like the florals that are so popular today. There is that human-skin-like aspect lingering in this perfume. Unwashed human skin to be specific. And I mean that in a good way! It gives this perfume character. It makes it stand out. And that's where the magic of this perfume lies, with all it's dirtiness and skin-like qualities, it still manages to stay innocent. Ethereal. Beautiful. This is a study of contrasts. It's innocent and carnal. Dirty and clean. Angels and vixens. A multifaceted perfume indeed. Edmond Roudnitska really is the master of his craft. This is breathtakingly beautiful. Diorissimo is spring in a bottle for me. When it's still a little chilly, but the sky isn't as grey, and the air isn't as cold and melancholic. And the sun peeks through the clouds and gives you warm and lovely kisses on the cheek. I don't normally categorize my scents into seasons, but this is definitely for spring. It would just feel out of place (for me at least) in winter, summer or fall. I just feel like the beauty of the perfume will be completely lost in extreme temperatures. In the right weather/season however, she blooms and she lets out any and all sides of her. And she is beautiful. She is Diorissimo. This review is for the current EDP. How I wish to have smelled the vintage version. How beautiful it would have been. If you guys know where I can find these vintage treasures, please let me know!

Diorissomo by Dior is one of the most discretely but decidedly sexual of all scents. It is a great mass of aldehydic muguet, the parfumeurs’ sleight of hand for the seemingly innocent Lily of the Valley. But like the flower carried by wealthy brides on their wedding day, this scent conceals deeper and more animal pleasures beneath its surface of propriety and cleanliness. A lasting tonal green escorts the fragrance though from a brief citrus opening to a floral heart that contains the signature note supported by lilacs, jasmine and aromatic rosemary. This being no tended flower garden but a wild forest floor, there are also aromas of wood and animals in amongst the undergrowth that hint at altogether darker pastimes. This scent is a work of both art and artifice capturing the corseted sexuality of a swoon to absolute perfection, smelling salts and all. However, beware, for Diorissimo is not for the faint of hearted, more for those prepared to lose their hearts. It is the smell of lovers. ************* It must be admitted that to many the muguet is a quintessentially feminine scent and as such many men would find it hard to even consider wearing this perfume. I am not one of those men. I enjoy Lilly of the Valley scents, most of all in the morning, and would be happy to awake to find Diorissimo in my bed.

Diorissimo EDP ( reformulation ) Bright invigorating white florals with a tinge of musk. It’s a little sharp on first spray but immediately calms down to a very realistic Lily of the Valley beauty. Very green and a bit vegetal. 🌿 It gives off the vibe if you were in a field of millions of Lily of the Valley and the leaves are wet with dew and you can breath in the freshness of the leaves along with the beautiful white flowers. 💐 The creaminess from the jasmine begins to creep in during the dry down and transforms the fragrance into a softer more rounded juice. Extremely fresh and green. Very feminine. Nothing spicy or sweet. Just a white floral explosion that is completely natural smelling. Not a safe blind buy. Longevity is 4-6 hours on skin and 6-8 hours on clothing. Great work scent. Also would be great to wear in spring and summer. This would really bloom in the heat. The bottles from this line are beautifully crafted. Semi mature smelling. Love the freshness.

L'original de Diorissimo date de 1956. Je me souviens de l'avoir senti pour la première fois quand j'avais 7 ou 8 ans (j'en ai 49 oops...). Non pas que celui-ci me déplaise mais celui de 56 était beaucoup plus floral grâce au jasmin, à la fleur d'oranger, une pointe animale (la civette peut-être) et un fond de mousse de chêne (à tomber)et tout au long cette pointe fraîche de muguet sans être écoeurante ou savonneuse. Il y a d'autres notes florales mais je ne m'en souviens plus et le jus s'est "madérisé" dans le flacon que ma tante possède (flacon de Baccarat excusez du peu.... Cadeau de son amoureux ;O) La formule d'aujourd'hui a été simplifiée et largement raccourcie. La mousse de chêne n'existe plus (trop d'allergies ?), le musc et le jasmin sont toujours là mais l'orchestration est différente. C'est une note verte aldéhydée qui nous saute au nez très savonneuse. Le muguet est là (peut-être trop ?).

This scent takes me back to being 5 years old sitting like Ferdinand the bull or a litte lamb in my Great Grandmother’s yard. Lying in the grass and smelling the Lilly of the valley growing along the sidewalk up to her porch. This smells nearly identical to those pretty little fairy hat flowers. This scent is purely floral. There’s a tiny pinch of bubblegum from the jasmine but it’s mostly Lov. For me it’s delicate and realistic. It’s pure, impossibly clean, and green like the smell of real flowers. So many Lov fragrances can go that air freshener direction, but of course Dior does Lov so beautifully. It conjures up that picture of Grace Kelly in her white lace wedding dress holding a bouquet of Lilly of the valley looking impossibly timelessly beautiful like a graceful princess.

I think I am in trouble with this perfume because I like it a lot, not for me but I like it on others. The problem is that those I asked to sample it always told me the same; it smells like a funeral. That’s terribly sad because in deed lilies are used a lot for funeral flower arrangements and that’s the connotation that makes people stay away from it. But other than that Diorissimo is a perfectly suited perfume for elegant ladies and I can see it being used all year long. White flowers such as the uptight lilies with the sensual jasmine are a perfect combination. The base is beautiful too and I can feel more notes than those on Dior’s website. If we could only think about the beauty of those flowers and not the sad connotation it would be gorgeous!

I love Dior make up even some skin care, but not their fragrances. This is the first fragrance I bought from Dior, as I thought I can't go too wrong as I love lily of the valley flours a lot. Unfortunately Diorissimo while smelling of LOV, still I feel like this is just a chemical aldehydic concoction. It's not bad, but I only get this synthetic LOV smell that is quite strong and lasts around 6 h for me. I like to use it in spring. I can't say I regret buying it, still I wonder if I would have liked the old Diorissimo

I don't mean to sound like a scold or know it all, but I see this error so often in reviews that I felt a need to clarify. Lily of the Valley (muguet) is NOT the same as Lily. Different families altogether. They are both white florals and may share certain overlapping characteristics, but it's similar to the distinction between rose and peony, or perhaps an even better analogy would be rose and primrose. I hope this information is helpful to some who many avoid certain perfumes because they dislike one or the other.

Gorgeous scent. I hesitated a long time before buying the EdP and I am sooo happy I finally did. It is identical with the versions I was wearing for almost 20 years (and almost 20 years ago) and that’s what I was hoping for. I was discouraged by the current EdT which is very chemical to my nose and also by the fact that it is impossible to try the EdP as it was discontinued (a big mistake, btw, to discontinue this gem and to keep the EdT) and I hate blind buys...till today. Welcome to my collection, beautiful!

Diorissimo, hmm... The muguet scent is detectable initially, (with a very strong alcohol scent, like ethanol) then the jasmine scent blends in, and the two notes stay on your skin for few minutes before they dissappear. Honestly, I do feel like, this is a 'muguet-scented' sanitizer. It doesn't smell medicinal, but the alcohol smell is deadly strong! Diorissimo, the juice deserves the beautiful and lovely decant, only if the perfume is renamed Diorisnomore...

I like lily of the valley, but most of the lily scents have a sharpness that bothers me. This is heaven...pure class. I Picture a Society Lady wearing it. A smooth, sunny lily of the valley...Diorissimo is a silky caress to your Skin. It ́s like to lay down under the sun in a flowery garden...warm, bright, happy and cosy. Another plus is that it lasts 5 hours in my Skin..an exquisite scent! A Treasure!

This beauty has been diluted and I ask myself why . I returned it after seeing the current weakened formula that does not last long at all . It was once one of the best Dior Creations and I am sorry to see the poor formulation that is sold for a very high price. Chanel and Dior need new leadership .

Was looking to replace my almost gone Guerlain Muguet from 1999, and thanks to these reviews, decided on Diorissimo EDP. Heavenly! I am in love with this perfume sensual and discrete smell. Pretty long lasting on my skin, which doesn't hold long any perfumes. Lilly of the valley for May!

The truest creamy jasmine bathing in lily-of-the-valley and lilac water gathered after rain in a garden. Not sharp, not spicy, not too loud. Just beautifullly naturally blended! The quintessence of spring.

If blanche byredo was released in 1995 This is basically what fragrance smells more 90’s byredo blanche soapy af but good tbh not the green fresh LOTV like lucky dior more jasminy soap smooth LOTV

This perfume is timeless elegance. Personally, it isn't for me, because I do not like green scents or lily of the valley, but I can still appreciate the utter sophistication this perfume evokes.

It’s wonderful, doesn’t smell dated at all, very classic and timeless. Because of the prominent jasmine note this smells nothing like Penhaligon’s lily of the valley.
