Rouge Trafalgar Esprit De Parfum

I love the original Rouge Trafalgar, and Kurkdjian has fixed virtually all the problems I had with the og on my skin: •poor projection •medium longevity •and the fruity opening died down way too quickly. Overall it's quite similiar to the original, albeit (like the case with the other esprit's), it diverges a bit but doesn't turn into something completely different. It opens up very sweet Like the original, but instead of just strawberry, it's supplemented with some Peppers and a somewhat muted Cherry accord. In the mid (and greater bulk of the scent), the chery and pepperyness die down into the background, and a fresh blast of sweet fruit become the main focus, I mainly get mostly strawberry on my skin (just like the OG), but I can also smell a fair bit of rasberry and something else I can't pick out. Other than that, there is a Rose note, but it's also fairly far in the back with the openings notes, but it's presence does add a slightly jammy smoothness that make the scent slightly addicting and alluring each time I get a whiff. As I said at the start, this fragrance is a lot more potent than its predecessor, I get medium-strong projection on my skin with around 8-9 hours longevity, I think this could easily be worn all year round but it might be a little too strong and/or cloying for summer if you're not going to be in a big open area. Perfectly unisex, but some guys may be turnt away by the strawberry smell, which is fine, but as a guy, this is easily rockable in any casual outtings. Is it worth the price (like the other Esprit's?) Of $800AUD in my currency?, No, absolutely not. but is it an upgrade to scent I wished was a little better? 1000%. If you had/have some gripes with the original like I did, I assure this fixes most if not all of them! Very much worth a try imo. Say what you want about Kurkdjian's creations at Dior, but price aside, so far I think he's done an excellent job with this and Ambre Nuit (Esprit) in my opinion Final Verdict 9.3/10 (not worth it's full retail price though 🙂)

EDIT: I bouht it 6 mounths ago and let is macerate so I can tell it's worth it becouse the strong masculine feeling has gone, all I get is a beautifule grown up unisex but in the feminin side fruit perfume made in the best way. Now I love it so much and definetly will repurchase again. I got it today (I bought blindly) and immediately sprayed it to my wrist. It is a very grown up and UNISEX fragrance. The opening is sparkling pink pepper with a non sweetend cherry and a huge blast of grapefruit then it goes to the fruity light rose with cassis direction but whithout any sugar (I can pick up some "Gris dior" feeling in this perfume all lifetime in the background- after 4 days I figured out that this is the vetiver) then it arrives to the red berries. In the base there is some light patchuli, moss and lots of vetiver. As I saw the notes I thougt it would by my ultra feminin fruit-basket scent but nothing girlie and youthful here. I think it is ok for a man too and for me it is a serious perfume instead of being easy-going or light or funny. I don't find it sweet at all. It is elegant and put together scent for ages above 30 with very good quality of ingredients. I don't know the original Rouge Trafalgar so I can't compare them. The sillage is big-my Husband told.The whole perfume is somewhat very classy and elegant. I like it!

I’m into it...it’s definitely richer than the original. The original had a patchouli element on the dry down that I couldn’t get into. This is so rich that any patch, if it exists, is undetectable to me. Close up it gives me a bit of a waxy lipstick vibe...and my goodness if I could amp that up and make it the main feature of a scent—I’d be in heaven. I’m in heaven here for different reasons—it smells expensive, it’s fruity but not at all juvenile—it’s a rich and dark yet also light fruit, it has a creaminess to it and it’s smooth. It also has a gourmand quality without going full on in that territory, which would cheapen it. It also lasts...I smell on clothing the next day. On skin is a shorter life. I got at a Dior in store boutique at Bloomingdale’s when they had a beauty sale. UPDATE: This is a compliment getter.

I didn’t think rouge trafalgar could get any sexier but here we are. This doesn’t have the green/stem smell or the airy vibe of the og. This is much more dense and sweeter, but still so wearable even for every day. The only issue I had about the og was that the dry down didn’t retain that red fruit smell but this definitely fixed that for me. I need a full bottle of this immediately, I’d keep my og one as well. They are different enough and I’m equally obsessed with both. Edit: I ended up selling my original rouge trafalgar once I bought a full size of this. The dry down of this smells very close to the opening of the og, essentially this is both perfumes in one. This performs so much better. The og was gorgeous and hard to let go of, but this fixed every issue I had with the original.

Masterpiece! I got to try it in Nice and it was so good that after trying it i want it for the rest of my life. This perfume is giving a Met Gala vibes. It feels rich, classy and fresh. The cherry smell with berries is so unique somehow, there are a lot of perfumes with this kind of ingridients but its totally different from eveyone else. I’ve always had a really expensive taste in everything and this perfume is the defenision of it. Smells like you cant afford it. For the price of this it is exactly what i want. If i spend 500€ for a perfume it has to smell like the amount i spend on it. My only thing is that it doesnt last a very long time. For me it lasted around 5-6 hours. That is the only bad part about this.

Tried the original Rouge Trafalgar and liked it but it felt a bit lackluster. The worker around the desk then smiled and said i had to try this one, and wow - instant love for me. Absolutely on the feminine side but i have no problem wearing it- the red berries are sweet and beautiful and the roses are barely noticeable but might be what gives the fragrance an airy and light composition. Works year round, sweet and potent enough to make you noticed in the fall/winter but fresh and airy enough to be wearable during the warmer months and the summer. My favourite from the Espirit collection. Instant love for me and i also get compliments whenever i wear it. PS: Also love the name ;) Trafalgar

I have fallen in love with this fragrance but it was a slow burn. I tried it in the Harvey Nichols and although I liked it I thought it was straight up sweets vibe. Like the penny chews called fruit salads I ate as a kid. The nostalgia hit hard but it wasn’t what I was looking for that day - I was determined to buy a summer coconut fragrance -so I kind of wrote it off and explored. However, the scent stuck with me and I got a decant to try before committing and I’m not disappointed. It definitely reminds me of childhood sweets I haven’t changed my mind but I think that’s half the appeal for me with this fragrance, the nostalgia. It also lasts on me which is good for these notes.

If you love a gourmand bomb this is for you 🍭 🍓 The difference between Rouge Trafalgar edp and Esprit is the texture of the red fruit. In Rouge Trafalgar edp, the fruit is juicy, tangy and tart. Almost like a fruit juice or fresh fruits mixed together. Rouge Trafalgar Esprit is extremely candied with aspects of Caramel and candied fruits. In the original description, there is a note of “Toffee Apple”. It really does smell exactly like a powerful sweet toffee apple. This lasts better than the original and its very projecting. In general, be mindful with this range. They are quite powerful and a few sprays is enough.

This is way to good. Imagine a late fall night cherry picking drinking strawberry sorbet and rose sparkling soda. If anyone has ever had Vimto its a rosy sweet red fruity carbonated drink. It has to be one of my favorite drinks of all time and this is like creating it into a quality fragrance. It is so mouthwatering and delicious. It also has very slight pink pepper turning it into a more slightly masculine and darker rasberry. It alluring and delicious and delectable drooling "want more now" fragrance. On the dry down it has a velvety and musky hint. Causing it to seem like rasberry sex on velvet sheets

I see people say that this fragrance has "no longevity at all" and im just sitting here getting 8+ its insane how some skin chemistries work, to me this fragrance is a playful but sweet "pleaser" you'd have to look long and hard to find someone who straight up says "ew that's awful" It definitely leans more feminine, however i rock this fragrance whenever i feel like it, not so much at the "job" but more so on my spare time, going out, shopping etc.

This new Esprit Rouge Trafalgar is a more developed improvement on the original. Each version is completely wearable, versatile, and well-crafted perfume. HD red fruits and soft florals with an oak moss base that is there though not overwhelming the composition. Sweet, beautiful to smell, and very Northern forest berries on the natural side of decadent. Raw sex appeal because of the sweet, dewy skin roses and the moss. Long wear on my skin.

This scent is intoxicating! I was expecting to not like this version of Rouge Trafalgar since I didn’t care much for the original, but I’m loving the intensity of the fruitiness, and generally I don’t gravitate towards fruity scents. Though they don’t smell exactly alike, in a way this reminds me of BDK’s Rouge Smoking. They could easily be cousins. I find this to be unisex and love the scent on my husband as well.

I’m obsessed. Ripe red fruits in the late afternoon after being warmed all day by the sun, set on a bed of velvety florals. It somehow combines the sticky joy of eating fruit as a kid and getting it all over your face and smelling it on your hands for hours afterwards with the elegant grace of lipstick left on a champagne glass. It is the memory of a perfect moment that you wish didnt have to end.

Wow - I mean, taking away questions about whether the price can ever be justified (£380 for 80ml), this is absolutely STUNNING. The most realistic, juicy and sweet strawberries are glazed over a warm ambery base. Utter gourmand perfection, that just about manages to be perceived as grown up and expensive rather than fun and juvenille. I guess you would expect nothing less from Francis Kurkdjian.

The best ‘red’ smelling fragrance ever. If we are going by the color of the juice, Patchouli Paris is still my personal favorite red color juice but in terms of the smell this is a must have in your collection. I’d rather have this than $405 worth of fragrances put together which was what I paid for it BNIB. Easily the best of the Dior private line and not too far overpriced imo.

It instantly lifts my mood and makes everything feel a little more exciting. Sweet cherries, vibrant fruits and pure joy. To me, this is the perfect fragrance for a 25-year-old woman — confident, playful and full of life. 10/10 ✨

Photo realistic cherry. I like it but not something I would spend $470 on a 80ml. I got 20mls of this from a trade and I really enjoy it. Really feminine however, a blend of cherry, strawberries and flowers. Candy cherry and strawberries. Projects and lasts like a bomb, 8-10 hours easily with room filling projection. Great fragrance, however overpriced. 8.3/10

How Francis Kurkdjian creates simple fruity floral ingredients into this outstanding masterclass perfumery is beyond me. Rouge Trafalgar esprit de parfum is possibly not for everyone, but this unisex release is extraordinarily beautiful for the fruity floral lovers. Deliciously projects and endures, as well. I fell in love ❤️ instantly.

Rouge Trafalgar Espirit - Review Fruity and Florally opening, super nice, kinda similar to Sunset Hour by Goldfield and Banks or Kirke by TT. I really love this fragrance, my ninth favourite fragrance, amazing release from Dior, the whole of the Espirits are amazing. Smell: 9.9/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Overall: 9.7/10

I absolutely love this but it’s certainly not worth the price tag unfortunately. It’s very refreshing and sweet but as others have said, whilst it smells great, there’s nothing truly special about it. I don’t think it smells cheap but it definitely comes across as a young woman’s perfume

This is a combination of the original + Burberry Her. I own the original and hardly wear it because of the longevity but I absolutely love it. I also really enjoy wearing Burberry Her & I use it as a layering fragrance. So in the meantime I’ll layer the original + her to get RT Esprit.

One of the best Colognes I have ever smelt, and one of the best ever made no doubt. Perfect for any weather, time, or occasion. Unisex. Cannot think of anyone I would change about it, even the bottle and atomizer are perfect. Would buy again, would recommend to anyone who has ears.

Strong mature berry smell, I use this on special occasions. instantly fell in love with this fragrance so I had to buy it. lasts on my skin 8-10 hours strong, on clothes it lasts until you wash it. I would recommend anybody to buy this tbh, the smell is greater than the price

This is so good. Much better than the original R.T. This one’s fruity, intense, sweet syrupy, strong. I don’t see the resemblance with Burberry Her just FYI. This was my favorite from the new range, and second favorite was Lucky.

Got my nose on this today; this is an ultra-sweet strawberry hard candy, like a less creamy version of Burberry Her. Very strong in the initial hour, but tapers off to arms' length. Can be worn all year round.

Quiet simple by design, nothing challenging or too complex. BUT.. one of the nicest smells out there. This is definetily something that's gonna make you stand out, and it works in any situation. Dumb reach!

I had a whiff of this last year in Paris. I was so disappointed by the EDP, but this makes up for it. Full and juicy, this is exactly what I would want from a berry based fragrance.

Just a beautiful fragrance, I can see myself wearing this all seasons, day and night. A beautiful juicy fruity rose smell, but the juice is not too overbearingly sweet.

My newest addition to my collection and it is absolutely delicious. The berries come through above all, a lovely smooth, not overly sweet, scent.

Smells like shampoo but still very nice.

As soon as we spray, this is more intense, more flowery, less fruity and more ladylike perfume. Evacuate the little cherry of the beginning of the original Rouge Trafalgar. Stay intense and the same all along. A little fruity note, but really minimal in it. Good staying power, moderate projection. After a while, what stays on my skin is the same nutty bases that stays after Baccarat Rouge. A ladylike perfume, a Rouge grown up loosing is funny fruity side.

I'm in the minority here but this is a sexy, spicy and smoky cherry bomb on me! Ideal for colder nights or dates. No roses, no strawberry, only sweet cherry. I like this, but I already have Black Opium Over Red for a sexy cherry fragrance, and that's more feminine and better suited for me than Rouge Trafalgar Esprit. And price is better too. Actually this is quite similar to Sirene Privee, only that this is what Sirene Privee wishes it was.

If this had vanilla, amber, and musk in the base, it would’ve taken it to another dimension!!!! It’s beautiful but it’s missing something... Still, I love it though! I’m obsessed with every perfume in the Esprit de Parfum line. This one is a 6/10, the least mind-blowing of the bunch imo!

Rouge Trafalgar Esprit De Parfum is a soft spicy cloying candied cherry and strawberry fragrance. The hint of spice is pink pepper which seems to be used in just about every spicy fragrance. The synthetic red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, red currant) obscure the rose as this scent develops on the skin. Honestly, it's headache inducing. This isn't a rose fragrance so the rose notes aren't striking at all. I wanted sweet pink roses on top to give this fragrance some maturity at its astronomical price point. The 2ml decant I purchased is enough for me. This one isn't blind buy safe unless you like the smell of strawberry scratch and sniff stickers. To add insult to injury, this fragrance has no longevity at all.

Rouge Trafalgar Esprit De Parfum Dior (Paper test) I do really enjoy the opening of Rouge Trafalgar. That's cherry syrup I like. Damn. I like it. As scent develop to later stage. It feels like I drown in Syrup that feel like Dawn dish soap. It is very tacky by the texture of the scent. Still here lies the beautiful rose Dior is known for. And I do appreciates that. The Patchouli that makes the fragrance, Fruitichouli. Now gone, heading full amber. This is another validation that slight change the whole fragrance. People who loves Rogue Trafalgar by its fruity-syrup side will enjoy this one.

The opening smells exactly like a freshly sliced, sweet, perfectly ripe strawberry. The dry down is a fruity, slightly floral, almost powdery fragrance. There's barely any rose at all. Not my cup of tea and it should've been launched as a different fragrance instead of a Rouge Trafalgar flanker.

Quite an intense sweetie, Red berry rose perfume, smelled like they’ve amped up the base a little. I found the original pretty uninspiring and sadly this esprit (although better/stands out more) is much the same. Certainly for the price I’ve no doubt you can find something better elsewhere.
