Spice Blend

It fits its namesake perfectly in my opinion, it opens up with boozy rum and some Ginger, which then, as you'd guess, transitions into a flawlessly blended array of spices, so much so that on my skin its actually quite difficult to pick individual spices apart (aside from cinnamon mainly) past the opening, they all compliment and mesh into eachother seamlessly to be honest, it's amazing. All of this is enhanced and supplemented by an underlying woody slightly herbal base which adds an even more rounded scent profile to an already smooth scent. This is a natural to upgrade (or an alternative of higher quality) to Spicebomb in my humble opinion, for me personally spice bomb in general was a little bit too cloying and slightly pungent with its spices which put me off, whereas this is a lot more subtle on both its spicyness and its overall projection, which I prefer personally. Definitely a colder day/month leaning fragrance, I can't recommend it in hot days or summer at all, on my skin i get medium projection with about 6 hours longevity; for what scenarios you could wear this, I see being good as a dress up and down fragrance personally, it might be a tad bit too strong for a work environment, but I can definitely see it being pulled off in an office as a theoretical. Final Verdict, 8.2/10

I absolutely love this perfume! A couple of months ago (in the spring) I blind-bought a 30ml decant of it and In my collection no perfume has been used that much over such a short period of time. So off I went to Diors website and bought a 125ml bottle of it, I even spent time writing a review on their site... That's how much I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! 10/10 As I wrote on Diors site: "Dior Spice Blend is an incredible fragrance that instantly makes me feel more confident and sophisticated. The fresh and boozy opening is unlike anything I've smelled before. A unique blend of spices and rum that awakens the senses. When I wear this perfume I feel unstoppable, ready to take on anything the day or night brings. The spicy warmth develops beautifully on the skin, turning into a sensual and elegant scent that lasts around 10-12 hours on my skin. Spice Blend is a complex yet perfectly balanced fragrance, managing to be both fresh and intense, making it a true pleasure to wear. A scent that also enhances my confidence in a way few other fragrances have achieved. I can wear this day and night, summer or winter. A true masterpiece!"

I tried this expecting spice bomb and it does have a resemblance, but I feel like this is a much better take on it. Speaking of niche spice bomb, Initio Rehab is pretty much a perfect rendition of spice bomb, better than the OG, but I digress. This one opens with a brightness that neither have. And that sparkle is from the pink pepper and ginger. This smells fantastic and if you're a big fan of spice bomb, you'll like this one. It's a more elegant take. I've tried a bunch of Dior lately and this one has the worst longevity out of any of them. So if performance is important for you and you don't want to periodically refresh with this expensive juice, you might want to just get the original and call it a day. I sold Rehab, and gave away spice bomb. Not because they're bad fragrances, I just got bored with them. I'd probably get bored with this as well. A travel spray would work for me. ------------------------------------------------------ Scent 83/100 Performance 50/100 Objectively good. I don't crave the spice bomb DNA, and would probably only wear it a few times per year. Not a must have for me, but might be for you.

2024 batch - first spray, very bay leaf, slightly rum a bit of nutmeg Oxygen is in the bottle now and I'm detecting a much fuller scent profile, the bay is much less prominent, has a clean airyness that cuts through the sweetness of the rum, nutmeg is still playing a vital role here, clove is undetectable, very well blended fresh spice fragrance, black pepper and ginger are more prominent in the warmth, otherwise no jagged edges, everything blended seamlessly. Not quite like anything I've tried before, very happy about how it performs also, projection in the first 30 minutes is extreme, dries down closer to the skin, spraying on clothes gives the ideal for projection and longevity. Very versatile, cold autumn and winter days, or even a cool summers night Doesn't blow me away like la collection couturier parfumeur, but definitely sits well in the current line up for a spice clean scent

Comes off to me like a modernized early 90s men’s fragrance: a soapy/spicy/well blended thing. Almost a perfect 3-season signature scent. Spicy with the pink pepper and ginger really kicking things off. The cinnamon is there, too. You’ll think of Spice Bomb because of the pink pepper and cinnamon at first but that scent is very rough and scratchy and this is well blended and refined. During the drydown they really diverge and Spice Blend is more of a classic men’s fragrance, more appropriate post barber than Spicebomb, which is more party and youth. This grew on me and I eventually got a bottle after years of draining a decant. Longevity is okay around 5-7 hours and it’s more of a skin scent/close bubble for me. It really isn’t a screamer if that’s what you want. An 8/10. Won’t blow you away but it might be a great signature. It has slowly turned into heavy work rotation for me.

Soap + Amber + Aldehyde + lemony spicy Ginger + Spices including Cinnamon, Pepper, Cloves, Nutmeg + Boozy + Caramelized Vanilla + Powdery Lavender + dark Tonka Bean sweetness + Bay Leaf + aromatic Sage + Brown Musk + Sandalwood + Rose + smallest touch of Patchouli for earthiness + Cedar Wood oil + Orris Root/Labdanum creaminess Warm/Boozy/Spicy/Soapy frag. Heavily complexed from the late 70's & 80's when frags use to contain a ton of notes, where today it's all focusing on only adding a few key ingredients so the customer can pick out individually notes. The note of Spearmint comes in at the dry-off, and it's off-putting because eventually i get the note of toothpaste. :S The Mint note is unnecessary. That Mint note is so off-putting with the rest of the dna notes, i've confirmed to myself that this fragrance is a mess. 2.5/5 Woofs!

As a guy, I love this fragrance so much for the cooler fall-like weather. I don't like very heavy fragrances, I find them to be oppressive to wear. This one is airy and perfect and masculine with that bay leaf accord that reminds me so much of Bay Rum shaving products. It has good longevity despite the airiness too. I do find I have to spray about 25% more than I normally would with a typical "cold weather" fragrance but I don't mind it. This is real perfumery in the sense that the proportions are well thought out and executed. So many perfumes like JPG Le Male Elixir have no finesse and just beat you over the head with sweetness.

Fantastic, amazing, spectacular fragrance! The scent is so warm, spicy, decadent, intriguing and memorable! It's just like a warm, delicious but somehow pretentious hug :))) It stands out among a lot of other perfumes and it has that je ne sais quoi, but the performance is a bit disappointing. The price is quite steep and for this reason I would have expected a better projection and a more lasting scent. Would't mind to receive it as a gift :))))) but I probably won't buy it myself. Compared to other perfumes in its price range, the performance on this is a turn-off (for me). But if money was not an issue, I'd run and get it!!

I agree with @Manny44’s comment below; this is a refined, easy-wearing, spicy fragrance. I enjoy spicy fragrances but I find that a lot of perfumes in this category to be overbearing after a few hours. Spice Blend is a lighter take on the genre; it’s light enough to wear most days/occasions, but it isn’t boring. Spice Blend provides its wearer with a spicy, clean, soapy, amber scent cloud. I haven’t tried Spice Bomb in a while, but from memory it is louder and more ‘extroverted’ than Spice Blend. I like both fragrances, however I enjoy the subtlety of Spice Blend at this stage of my life. To each their own, though.

This is exactly the spicy-soapy, not too sweet scent I've been looking for for years. As weird as it sounds it evokes wet, freshly-shampooed hair in a very intimate, sensual way. I don't really get the rum in this, it leans masculine in the opening but the drydown reads powdery, clean and truly gender neutral while remaining spicy IMO. I love spraying it on after a shower and on my scarves in the winter. Friends and family have described it as "mysterious" which is exactly my vibe! Might not be for everyone, especially considering the price tag but give it a try if you're a spice lover!

This to me smells like a mix of MM Jazz Club and Spicebomb with a bit of a barbershop quality to it. Kind of the best of both worlds, with a barbershop tone, but maybe not as masculine leaning as I wanted. I do think this would be more successful with a different name and/or a stronger bay rum aspect to it (the bay rum is there but cant help but feel the cinnamon should have been toned down or even removed as sometimes you do get a "bubblegum" vibe from that note here). I would give it a try if you enjoy the above 2. The more Ive worn it, the more I like whats been done here.

Just picked up Spice Blend for my mom and I have to admit that this is one of the best iterations of spice I ever smelt. Perfect compound. Extremely bright, invigorating, inviting, mysterious, spicy, and clean. No comparison to Spice Bomb in the heart of this fragrance however for first time sniffers you will automatically compare it to Spice Bomb but as it dries down that idea completely leaves your mind and you drift into a pool of elegance. Will definitely purchase a bottle of this for myself in the coming weeks. Highly suggest 8.5/10

Vibrant, super spicy. It creates a comfortable atmosphere, the pink pepper and the note of rum and ginger are very evident. It releases all its warm sensuality in the drydown, where the bay leaf appears to leave a more tranquil and relaxing imprint. A particular perfume, to be worn perhaps with a nice heavy sweater in the freezing winter months, certainly warms the heart. Sillage : 8/10 Longevity : 9/10 Scent : 9.5/10 Overall : 9.5/10

This certainly is an interesting interpretation of the theme. However, it is apparently disappointing for many, since most people would expect something more hefty under the name Spice Blend, I guess. I happen to like it because it is not overly sweet, which is what I don’t like about Spice Bomb. But, do not expect anything groundbreaking. It’s rather quiet and it does take a long time to develop on the skin and show all its facets.

Got a decant of this and absolutely love it. I get a very soapy spicy ginger and pepper for majority of its life of my skin. Like other reviews have said longevity isn’t the best, maybe 6 hours total, skin scent after 2-3 on me. However, in those 2-3 hours it projected off me pretty nicely, an arms length maybe more. Definitely going to get the 250ml bottle and overspray.

Instantly fell in love with Spice Blend after sampling and had to hunt down a full bottle from Europe. Not sure when the US release date is but might pick up another when it does in case we get reformulated. lol What the name lacks in imagination the fragrance more than makes up for in olfactory bliss. Just smelled this today at the Dior boutique. My first impressions of this, is that the dry down smells very similar to Penhaligon’s Endymion. The kind SA gave me a miniature bottle of this with my purchase of Sakura. Will have to test this out more in the future. If it has longer lasting power and projects well enough then is will be my next on the list.

one of Francois' best creations. this is a ticking time bomb that builds up to an absolutely delicious composition. it begins with the blend of spices and a zingy, sparkling ginger, then dries down to a sweet amalgamation of cinnamon and dry cedar woods. imagine if V&R Spicebomb wore a cashmere black suit (I have no idea what this means).

Casual and formal fragrance. It has some similarities to spicebomb but this one is less sweet, more refined and luxurious. The rum with the cinnamon and pepper, makes it delicious. Love at first sniff and honestly, it is so gentle and inoffensive. Longevity sucks but I do not mind reapplying. I love the soft spicy-ness of Spice Blend. It’s not heavy nor is it headache inducing. It’s very cozy and very inviting and I had to get it right away...🖤✨✨✨
