Update: The beautifull florals are most noticable in the opening, where it may be a tad too feminine for me. The orange blossom dominance fades, in 15 min and becomes more balanced, with the great Angelica and juniper becoming more evident I am bumping up my rating to 9/10. Because this is so complex for a fresh Neroli fragrance. Each time I wear it now, I get some new nuance, the juniper, Angelica, sometimes more orange blosom, or the bitter orange; These ebb and flow. This is a very uplifting high quality Neroli and Orange blosom fragrance. It is mostly alcohol distilled orange blosom, more floral. Today I picked up on the bitter citrus note that here is correctly listed as bitter orange, but according to Fragrantica the extract from the bitter orange fruit is often called Neroli. Neroli is most often derived from water distilled orange blossoms however. I applied my Eau Des Sens this morning and the fresh and clean orange blosom was very uplifting. I also love earthy fragrances, so the complimentary notes of juniper berries and Angelica are right up my alley... This is a great morning fragrance to start off your day, clean and optimistic. It's great this chilly December morning, but I was thinking I will get a bottle in early Spring when this will be even more fantastic. It has a bit of orange peel, not too citrusy, but makes a nice fresh accord with the orange blossom. I think there may be some high quality Neroli here, as well as the orange blosom. I can enjoy this all year round. Now I am expecting this to be my Summertime signature fragrance. I have been looking for the ultimate fresh fragrance, and this may be it. The scent and quality are up there with TF Neroli Portafino, and MFK Petit Matin. But when you consider this has greater longevity and cost value, Eau Des Sens is the winner. I feel the same way about Creed's Royal Water, which you can find good discounts on, and is an extraordinary fresh fragrace, with a bit more going on, but is less effervescent. Many Neroli cologns are more citrusy than Eau Des Sens. This is more floral than most fine Neroli frags, but is still close to fine Nerolis like TF Neroli Portafino. It doesn't get too feminine like MFK Aqua Universalis Forte. This has great longevity, when these type of fragrances often do not. Rating: 9/10 God bless. John 3:16

wonderful gorgeous amazing stunning showstopping perfect in every aspect. did not expect a simple orange blossom fragrance to be this good. it lasts for days on clothes and it lasts on your skin for a full day as well. but its never cloying, its never too much. its perfect. the scent appears randomly throughout the day without making you feel like youre being choked. even though its 'just' an orange blossom, it excels at what it does greatly. its not bland or boring. the site says the citrus is the biggest accord but its really not. it starts off citrusy and bitter, but it luckily lasts for like 3 minutes. then it becomes floral, creamy, slightly green, powdery (signature diptyque powdery like fleur de peau, tam dao and orpheon), soapy and clean. The patchouli in this isnt present whatsoever which im glad about. i dont have a single bad thing to say about this fragrance. nothing is missing and everything works together to create the most realistic orange blossom experience. it smells like passing by an orange tree in bloom, right after walking past a bunch of jasmine. sniffing the flowers directly creates a way different experience, which eau des sens doesnt capture. it fully captures the air around the plants instead of the flowers themselves. and no it doesnt have too much jasmine, if any. it just reminds me of a jasmine filled area. i dont know how to explain it, but since its not noted i assume its just a bit of indoles from the orange flowers they used. It has creaminess too which is very surprising and somehow not common for orange blossom fragrances. Even though i like a few other perfumes more for their scents and concepts, i cant deny how perfect this is. its a 10/10 and i will be buying it once it runs out. amazing longevity (longer than all of my edps) and high quality inoffensive scent. you dont have to be the biggest fan of orange blossom to appreciate this, this is something that can be liked by everyone

Eau des Sens is a whole orange tree in bloom. And it's the first orange blossom I try that feels whole. Many perfumes feel very sweet, kind of synthetic, or very indolic. There's a moment for everything but I appreciate the naturalness that emanates from this wonderful Diptyque. The opening feels hot, just what the reviewer below mentioned. Spot on! Petitgrain and Angelica provide a soft focus bitter effect that provides dimension. You're in a orange grove, it's late summer but the heat hasn't subsided yet. It's midday and as the scorching sun makes your vision blurry you suddenly catch the smell of the trees in front of you. The wood, the bitter green leaves, the sticky sap on your fingers, the sweet smell of the flowers above. You close your eyes and you feel you are the tree. As the fragrance evolves, you climb higher on said tree. You reach the blossoms that are releasing their sweet nectar filling the air. You see that the sun is starting to set, and the heat starts to subside, but just enough to let the flowers bloom. You reach for them and you feel how the scent fills your nose. Sweet nectar. The base brings the whole of the tree. You reach the top and you look around you. Clear skies, the smell of various trees ahead, the soil that surrounds you. You smell everything at once, and then you keep catching glimpses of the various stages. I sprayed it on me 5 hours ago, and right now I'm getting the most glorious whiffs of orange blossom, just like traditional Lebanese orange blossom water. Glorious! Excellent sillage, and so far very good longevity. A different direction for Diptyque but a very very good one!

This is predominantly an orange blossom (not orange fruit or peel, not citrus) and patchouli scent. At first spray, I was perplexed by the opening: a brief rush of bitterness, a faint whiff of orange blossom, a real lack of any defining characteristic that left me scratching my head and thinking, that's it? This confusing phase is over within a minute, transitioning to a more noticeable orange blossom floralness and the scent of wet twigs/leaves. It's wet, dark, cool, like a garden in the evening after it rains. The dampness goes away and a subtle warmth from the patchouli comes through in the dry down. There's maybe a touch of honey sweetness (or is that still the orange blossom that I'm confusing with honey?) It's fresh, clean, soft and pretty. It definitely doesn't scream "orange" or "citrus" to me, and I am genuinely baffled at the reviews comparing it to orange cleaning solution. At first I was not impressed, thinking it was like any other white floral orange blossom scent, but it grew on me unexpectedly after 10-20 minutes. I think the slight earthiness of the patchouli and angelica ground the orange blossom and keep it from getting too floral or sweet. Damn you Diptyque, how is everything you make so good?

There are so many intoxicating and radiant neroli and orange blossom fragrances out there, but the problem is that NONE of them last (eyeing you, Mr. Ford). Olivier Pescheux, the genius behind Eau des Sens, solved this problem with a clever solution - a blend of juniper (peppery, zesty and bright), angelica (green and spicy) and patchouli (earthy and herbal) to extend and mimic the attributes of neroli that we have all become so obsessed with. This starts out strong, green and peppery - like orange leaves, crushed in your palm - but develops into a refined, fresh, calming fragrance - orange blossom perfuming the air in a summer evening - that lasts most of the day on my skin and days on clothing. Wear this if you want to be greated by sweet, tranquil wafts of orange blossom throughout the day. Even sniffing the cap of this bottle is like therapy. Eau des Sens takes me to a wonderfully calm place, which is well-appreciated in this increasingly hectic world. Also, I think out of my entire collection, this bottle is the most gorgeous. Truly a piece of art in every sense.

I absolutely love orange blossoms, when I first bought this, I wasn't so crazy about it, it just smelled like this baby cologne, it was just the perfume I put on before going to the gym or after a shower. But goddamn it grew on me, the juniper berries/Angelica dry down give it the Diptyque luxurious feel which you notice with orpheon and other Diptyque perfumes. The orange blossom seems to be high quality, I don't detect any Neroli in this, even with the green notes, it's rather green powdery with a hint of bitter. Performance is ok but I want more from it. So addictive I feel like popping the cap off and start drinking this shit. I keep editing this review, I'm obsessed with this perfume, and I'm zealous over it, dont listen to the losers saying it smells like cleaning detergents or say its screechy, give it a couple tries, I can't hold myself from smelling my arm every time I wear this perfume, I never seem to go nose blind because of it, I wish diptyque would make an eau du parfum from this

An unexpected treasure that I have recently discovered. I had a distinct feeling upon smelling this darling that I remembered it from somewhere. There is something so comforting and genuine about this fragrance. The opening is full of feathery sunlight, curling vines on walls, and unripe oranges from the wild west. I find myself sitting under an old and blooming fruit tree, the feel of dry bark beneath my fingers. Late spring air brings whiffs of sappy twigs and spicy leaves. But beneath the burst of juice lies a river of white and yellow neroli blossoms. Soft, honey sweet, and aldehydic. A touch misty but not aquatic. When the breeze picks up, the air around me is soapy, gently citrus, and aromatic. Where I walk, a trail follows a little litter of white petals. Definitely a head turner- hard to miss something so luminous and undulated. This scent reminds me of home- Orange County, California. With its big skies, furls of citrus groves, and ocean tides.

I absolutely adore this, surprised by so many negative reviews or references to dryer sheets. It's a beautiful fresh bitter citrus made with quality ingredients, not synthetic smelling like laundry products. I think I like it because it does that have that old Italian classic perfumery vibe. It makes me feel fresh and summery like I'm basking in the sunshine in Italy and the orange blossom reminds me of my time in southern Spain. This style is not for everyone I guess. I love it, but then I'm also just about to walk out the door to go to Le labo and purchase the Petit Grain 21 candle and try the Petit Grain 21 perfume on my skin, and this is intended as a literal room spray. Regardless It makes me feel calm, organised, clean and happy. I wish Diptyque did a candle like this. Eau des Sens has amazing longevity for an EDT and is my favourite Diptyque for day time/spring/summer, coming second only to Eau Capitale. Chefs kiss

Agree with some of the other posters below- this is a lovely and unique, but odd fragrance. It also has three very distinct phases; the initial spray is a heavy dose of orange (I don't smell neroli as much as bitter orange) with one of the most powerful openings of a citrus perfume; then it quietens down to a mix of juniper and orange; and ultimately ends up a very comforting musky sweet note that lasts for a very long time, especially on clothes. It's this last phase that I find most captivating. It's also great to spray on bedsheets or clothes, and comes with a body cream and soap, which though slightly varying from the fragrance, are still lovely (I have the soap in my cupboard and it just makes the whole room smell so happy). It's not a safe blind buy, does lean (slightly) feminine, and may not appeal to everyone. But for a citrus eau de toilette, it has immense lasting power and is a head turner for sure.

Woahhh ok.. so i was really on the fence about this one and almost hated it when I first smelled it on paper in store. But after spraying it on myself it totally changed my mind!! I love it!! Both on my skin and on my cloth. All the notes go so well together, it all sings a beautiful harmony to me! The sweetness and slightly bitterness of the orange paired with well balance white flowers and green notes that doesn't make me dizzy. I can see why some people get soapy smell since a lot of these scents are used a lot in kitchen cleanser and hand soap so if I sniff really hard I get that too XD. But I do think it's what the brain picks up when its trying to find familiarity and for me, this scent is more that! I sprayed some on my shoulders and every time I turn my head I get a warm lovely whiff of a lovely sweet summer breeze! I did not expect myself to love it this much :) Can't wait to try it in the summer!!

Got a 15ml sample after purchasing another bottle and I am throughly upset because I desireeeeee the full size of this. It is literally the perfect, most feminine, fresh and uplifting summer fragrance. The opening feels like the white part of an orange peel with orange blossom and it settles into a gorgeous almost slightly creamy orange blossom with patchouli. Beautiful day fragrance, it really just reminds me of my childhood. My grandma loves orange blossoms so she would always make us stop to smell them when we walked past one near our summer house. Alternatively, also beautiful choice for summer afternoons/evenings after the beach. Having salty skin with this on top while you sit with family or friends by the beach or pool side having a drink or something to eat. Truly divine, yet very intimate with decent longevity on clothes.

Full bottle purchased duty-free at London Heathrow. This is actually my second full bottle. The main attraction here is citrus in the form of neroli and orange blossom, but there is also a suggestion of culinary orange peel and zest, like the smell left on one’s hands after eating oranges or clementines. The citrus is cut with a green, woody, lightly astringent base note that dries it out and stops it from becoming too sweet or gourmand. I first encountered this as part of an amenity kit on Qatar Airways, and to my nose it’s a perfect travel scent - refreshing and uplifting without being obnoxious to those around you. I also enjoy wearing it at home. It perhaps leans a little too white-floral/feminine for me to use it in other contexts, but it’s the only scent that has got me compliments when travelling.

We are currently experiencing a heatwave here in the uk and this is one of the only perfumes I can stand to wear without feeling nauseous by the end of the day. I was in an MRI machine yesterday and whilst there I kept thinking what is that beautiful smell that I would get waves of every so often and I realised it was me. This to my nose is fresh floral, it’s that similar white floral as Jasmine but lighter and less polarising. On clothes I get 8+ hrs and on skin about 6-7 which for an EDT is excellent, it is a very easy reach in spring/summer but really I think it’s robust enough for year round but the heat just amplifies its beauty. I can’t wait to see what it layers with. Diptyque really are experts as I’ve yet to smell one I don’t like.

Diptyque is my favourite perfume brand. Philosykos was my gateway into my perfume obsession. I believe Diptyque's is very strong in making natural smelling realistic fragrances, but many of them have poor longevity and sit closer to the skin. Eau de sens is not only one of the most beautiful citrus fragrance on the market, it is also very persistant and has a very strong projection for that scent profile. I was not surprised by it's natural smelling beauty, that to me is probably diptyque's trademark, but I was amazed about how strong and persistant it is! One caveat, if you do not enjoy soapy fragrances you may not like this one. This is neroli/oragne blossom soap on steroids. It smells really clean but in a soapy way.

This is my first impression on my skin: At very first to my nose this is exactly like orange blossom water that you put in desserts. As always the transition is fast and to me, it makes me feel like I am taking a walk in a spring field, I love how bitter this is and somehow sweet and there is this spring clearing near by with delicate green flowers for bees. I am testing this in winter, and I do think this will be a great summer scent. There is something dessert like in the background not in a very directly sweet or gourmand way at all, it is more like there is a house at the end of the clearing where someone is baking something using orange blossom water. Give it some time, takes a little getting used to.

Absolutely love. The citrus and patchouli are outside my usual taste but here it just totally works. I grew up in California where summers are very dry, so this is the scent of summer to me. Dusty, sun-baked dirt, juniper bushes, orange soda, salty coastal air, fallen pine needles and orange blossoms. It's totally unisex, natural, easy, and cheerful. It's great to spray on after a shower as it's got a clean soapiness to it. It's powerfully summery without being a tacky tropical scent. This is most definitely not tropical, it's a mediterranean/Californian summer. Very dry and the orange is more rind than juice, but it's balanced with the sweetness of the orange blossom.

This is the best perfume I've ever smelt. I have a lot of fragrances, most of them in the sweet orange/rose/patchouli/pink pepper/musk or coconut/caramel scents. This is completely different for me and yet I feel that this perfume is 100% me and I can't stop wearing it. Eau de sens makes you smell clean, expensive, mysterious and sophisticated. It's like an intoxicating luxury soap. Everywhere I go people ask me what I'm wearing. If you pair it with the body lotion you'll be feeling confident and in check all day. Can't recommend this enough and I'm buying the full size once I'm out of the 30ml limited edition.

I was looking for sunshine in a bottle, and I found it! This is stunningly gorgeous, florals done right; as with most Diptyque fragrances, this is very natural/botanical smelling. I think this is unisex, because who doesn’t want to smell like a grove of blooming orange trees? I am writing this review as I sit here literally huffing the aroma chemicals off of my skin. If this smells like cleaning products, please let me know which ones so I can start using them. It’s such a shame that the nose behind this and so many other amazing perfumes is gone. Thank you for all the beauty you left behind!

This is such a good scent for spring and summer if you're wanting something that isn't a typical flowery scent for spring or beachy/tropical for summer. It's just fresh, zesty happiness in a bottle. It reminds me of the scent of Rub Rub Rub body scrub from Lush or just like something you'd get from Lush in general but obviously more elevated. This also has amazing performance for a citrus and for an eau de toilette. Not quite sure how they did that but I'm not mad about it! I can put this on in the morning and still smell it on skin by the end of the day.

It’s hard for me to find a ‘summery’ fragrance that I feel drawn to, but I quite like this. Some citrus forward fragrances I’ve tried feel too harsh and I’m wary of things getting too floral so it kinda suprised me. The earthy/green/slightly bitter aspects definitely seem to ground it. +1 for the luxury soap associations, doesn’t veer to bathroomey or cleaning producty at all to me. Nice and fresh and clean. Lasts way longer than a fresh EDT should. Arming myself with a bottle for hot days :)

It’s fresh and clean. Sophistication in a bottle. I’ve had many compliments (mostly by men) as to how incredible I smell when wearing this scent. I carry a mini bottle to top up when I’m out and about, but can usually still smell it in my hair the next day. It’s perfect for spring and summer, although I’m still wearing it into autumn, I can’t get enough of it. For reference, I’m 47 years old. I do feel it’s a more mature scent. My new favourite out of my collection.

Eau des Sens is a simple yet amazingly multifaceted scent: it starts with sharp, herbacious bitter orange which quickly transitions into a blooming bouquet of orange blossoms, before eventually settling into a long-lasting, comforting skin scent, cradling you gently like a baby. This perfume is my first love and my first lesson into the nuances of perfumery. I recommend experiencing these nuances firsthand in store, even if you don’t end up purchasing.

This scent is amazing, It lasts a very long time for and EDT. The beautiful orange blossom comes across incredibly well. It sticks and merges with your skin for a wonderful sweet but woody whole tree smell. When mixed with fresh air I have a hard time believing that I'm not standing next to an orange tree in blossom. I really love this scent, I currently have a 3ML decant. When I get the money I will be buying a very large bottle of this fragrance.

Honestly I gifted mine to my mom in law because I was not impressed. It's not a bad perfume. It's just not unique. I have been lately into way more unique creations (like Sarah Baker, House of Matriarch, Zoologist, etc) and it's hard to compare this to them. This is just very very simple non-offensive citrus perfume. It's direct, simple, slightly on a sweeter side, not overly sour. Fresh like a laundry, just like commenters said. Nothing special.

Summer is starting. An orange, unripe, grows on the tree. The opening is the whole orange. Rind, flesh, juice. Bitter and fragrant. This bitterness dissipates as the orange ripens and becomes sweet in the mid. Juicy and sugary. You notice the tree is full of blossoms, their scent mixing with the orange You pick the orange off the tree. The base is what's left. Stems and leaves, green and fresh. The tree itself. What an amazing fragrance.

My absolute favorite orange blossom/bitter orange tree fragrance. It has greater longevity and sillage than most orange blossom fragrances. This masterpiece by master perfumer Olivier Pescheux truly celebrates the Seville/bigarade orange tree resulting in a fresh, interesting, elegant, modern and relatively long lasting fragrance. So gorgeous and uplifting and is perhaps the reason I am on my 5th bottle. I simply can't live without it.

one of my favourite scents ever — definitely my signature — smells so clean and fresh. have walked into a coffee shop and been called i smell ‘delicious’ by the barista, and when downwind from a friend heard her go ‘someone here smells so good!!’ then say ‘oh it was you!’ when she hugged me. definitely more of a spring/summer scent but i use it all year round bc i think it just smells clean and soapy :)

This was a blind buy for me. Someone I admire recommended it, so I purchased a bottle online from Diptyque (you get a free mini sample to try, and returns are free if you don’t like it). Luckily I LOVE it. It’s quite bitter at first but it soon softens to a clean, fresh scent. To me it oozes luxury and decadence. Men love this fragrance on me. I had 3 compliments in the first week from men I know.

I love how this smells on me. Like a fresh notebook and graphite pencils on a crisp spring morning in an orange orchard. I love the spicy green. It smells amazing. If you're like me and ambroxan smells like chloroform projecting a 20ft radius on you while vanilla makes you smell like funky clay - this might work with your body chemistry.

it's my everyday clean (but not clean if you understand me) perfume. It suits any life situation, so i put it anytime i do not really know what i want to wear and just be myself more. try on skin -- i see a huge difference blotter VS skin in this case. Sometimes i think about this one as young and less complicate sister of Tilia by MAB.

This was an immediate love. Sweet (not sugary) and dewy fresh orange blossom. I could see this reading as a nostalgic (it doesn't smell like any current brands, that I know of) laundry detergent to some, but it's not cotton-y. Clean like an expensive floral soap, with a touch of green freshness (one of my favorite kinds of scents).

My current favorite among the Diptyque collection!! Love at first sniff, it’s comforting, nostalgic, and attention-grabbing. It smells like the more luxurious version of the baby cologne Nenuko. It’s crispier, less powdery, and smoother. Very easy reach for everyday wear, I personally enjoy wearing it when running quick errands.

I firstly fell in love with the body lotion of dyptique served in Qatar Airways business class amenity kit. then once in dyptique store and while trying few fragrances, I came cross Eau des Sens which reminded me directly of that Lotion. unfortunately it is an EDT. was hoping to see a more concentrated version.

God, I love her!! At first, I was a hater. The perfume smelled kind of sharp and colognish. Yet, this sharpness goes away quickly, and the smell starts to evolve and develop. It goes from harsh and refreshing to sweet and comforting citrusy. The perfume just smells like something expensive and gentle. Big fan!

remind me very much of Fleur d'oranger from Fragonard but its stronger. I layer it with Tam Dao and I love it. Good performance for a EDT. I struggle with Tam Dao and Philosykos performance but this one is long lasting for me. I like to layer with Tam Dao and its amazing, make Tam Dao last longer.

Hot sweaty summer boy scent (think Call Me By Your Name) that manages to be fresh regardless. Perfect for August humidity. Has the typical Diptyque kind of vintage feel without leaning too dated/department store. I'm a Do Son devotee but this is a really nice adjacent option to switch it up with.

Like most Diptyque scents, this is a bit soapy leaning with a sharp opening note of orange blossom. This is a sophisticated take on the original baby perfumes that are powdery and inoffensive. Quite universal and easy to layer with other more dominant florals, especially during spring.

My favorite summer perfume. It smells different from what everyone else is wearing. To me it's bright and clean but earthy and natural, perfect for my hippie tendencies. I have never considered it a "cleaning solution" smell. The slight bitterness makes it beautiful and unusual.

Very fresh, realistic orange blossom scent accompanied with a green & crisp nuances from Angelica and Patchouli. And just like any other Diptyque EDTs, very suitable for daily scent, especially during scorching hot summer days. I need a big bottle of this beauty now

Hotel lobby vibes, almost. Fresh, green, and mature notes that open into the faintest citrus. Beautiful. Reminds me of when you roll down the window after a long drive up into the woods. The clean air feels so sharp in your nose. It's like you're being cleansed.

I love this scent because it lasts longer on me than Nenuco, which I've been using since childhood. This is my grown up version. Definitely up there in my top 3 Diptyque frags along with Fleur de Peau and L'eau Papier (Sens being my first Diptyque scent)

Very nice and comforting scent, I feel like I smelled this somewhere before, the smell is not uncommon. the "cleaning products" thing is kinda there but in a really nice way. Unfortunately I cannot justify the price for a perfume with such a simple smell

The best freshy out there. My signature for Summer. The juicy bitter orange and green juniper make a perfect accord. White flower orange blossom, not neroli, a great white floral touch. Angelica for a herbaceous green, patchouli for earthy/ woody depth.

Love it! Bitter at first, but interestingly and beautifuly bitter, then settles into this cozy, fresh musky clean scent that actually projects and lasts. Love the juniper note. White t-shirt and jeans kind of vibe, calming possible signature scent

so so fresh and clean, smells beautiful especially after a shower. slept with it overnight and could still smell it in the morning. got it as a little sample but will be buying a full bottle once summer rolls around

For me this is the same as Neroly Voyage by Floris, de difference that this one actually has decent longevity and projection. The first fragrance from Dyptique what I would wear, definitely full bottle worthy.

Lovely eau de cologne style scent. The opening is a little sharp, but once it dries down I can't stop sniffing my wrist. It smells like I've used high end soap from a fancy hotel. Delightful!
