Olene Eau de Toilette

Look, if youre not a fan of jasmine, especially not in its true form, you will find this perfume simplistic and boring. Or maybe even too heavy. But as someone who has fond childhood memories of walking past jasmine on a warm summer night with my dear and wise grandfather in turkey to aşık veysel parkı in izmir, this is everything i couldve asked for. I have sampled this multiple times in store. Each time extremely attracted to the scent, yet never buying it because other perfumes caught my attention more (fleur de peau, tam dao, eau des sens, orpheon and do son). It always impressed me and i have always loved it, yet i couldnt justify buying it. I never knew why. At those times, do son and eau des sens intrigued me more because i was new to tuberose and i also made good memories next to an orange tree in blossom. As time went on, i realized do son was not the kind of tuberose i was looking for (its too fresh and airy, unlike the real flowers that smell heavy, plasticky, mentholated, green and sweet). Eau des sens was really good but i found better orange blossoms and idk, its also too fresh and clean for my liking. Unlike tuberose, orange blossom is indeed fresh and clean in its natural state but the novelty wore off quickly. I cant explain that. I loved every second of wearing it, yet i wanted something more close to ME. More close to my heart Then i went and tried more jasmine perfumes, each time perplexed as to what kind of jasmine smells like that. Many times it was either too clean, too light, too soapy or just NOT the jasmine i was familiar with. I eventually came back to olene after a whole year, and i realized this is what i have been looking for all this time. This isnt clean, this isnt fresh, this isnt sweet but its not overly fecal either. Ive noticed a lot of jasmines have an extra dose of indoles that exceed the amount that makes it smell naturalistic. This isnt anything like that. Honestly all i can say is that it smells exactly like real jasmine. Even the way it performs. When you put your nose close to a jasmine flower, you will get a different smell than when you walk past its natural sillage. Same goes for Olene, where the wafts are extremely beautiful gorgeous and attractive while smelling it up close is sharper, heavier and skankier. They both smell wonderful to me and it only adds to this naturalistic rendition Olene mentions daffodils, wisteria and honeysuckle. Two of those flowers are also what i have fond memories with (eating honeysuckle as a kid on field trips, the wisteria in my grandmothers garden). Never been a huge fan of daffodils as flowers idk why, i just dont even feel the need to grow them myself. But the scent is pleasant. Its like a sharper and more aromatic version of hyacinth. Do i pick up on these notes? Not really. If anything, they all contribute to the jasmine. The jasmine is the star of the show. Wisteria adds a fecal greenness without overwhelming, honeysuckle adds a nectary dewiness with a hint of edibility, the daffodil adds a balsamic/medicinal greenness and floralness and i guess the green notes do as well. In the end, this is JUST a jasmine perfume. But a realistic one. Ive found jasmine to smell rather apothecary like, which a lot of jasmine perfumes lack. Olene maintains all aspects of the jasmine flower and does so without ever falling flat or being redundant. Truly a slept on masterpiece, but i get that not everyone has the same love for jasmine and this perfume doesnt offer a lot for those who dont love that flower. But i do, and i find this to be perfect. A 10/10. Sorry for procrastinating purchasing you Olene I think if i mix this with Fils de joie, it would be even better. Not because olene lacks anything, but FDJ would exalt the jasmine even furrher. I find that one to be too honey focused on its own. We’ll see. Either way, if you’re looking for a realistic jasmine that doesnt compensate any of the flowers aspects, this is the one for you. Consider it ‘grandma’ or ‘heavy’ if you will, who said grandmas dont have taste??? Just a weird ageist remark that is used for any scent thats not vanillic overly sweet or overly reliant on ambroxan. Whatever i love olene and even tho its traditionally feminine i will still wear it as a guy to reminisce my times as a young boy spending time with his favorite person

First of all I have no idea why this site takes it upon itself to disregard that ALL Diptyque perfumes are marketed as being for men and women and according to its own biased opinions misrepresent them as being for only the sex they feel them most appropriate. All perfumes are works of art, why shouldn't they be bought and worn by everyone who enjoys them and wishes to wear them? I'm a male and I am definitely a lover of Olene. I first sought it out at the fragrance counter because of its narcissus note as I was working on a jonquil-narcissus soliflore of my own and gathering overall impressions of how these flowers have been used in the past both to inspire me and to keep me from reproducing yet another version of a tired overdone accord. As both a perfume lover and professional perfumer I have a deep appreciation for all the species of jasmine but just smelling the absolutes have never been inspired to seek out or create a jasmine soliflore. Immediately after spraying I was totally in awe. I was immediately swept away to my greenhouses in the winter when all the citrus trees are in full bloom and the indole laden citrus blossoms saturated the humid air. Of course, we know that in Olene it's the indole in jasmine not neroli or another citrus blossom but it was the indole that grabbed my attention. I would be bending the truth to say that I could distinctly smell wisteria or narcissus but knew that other note were present rounding off and adding warmth and depth to the jasmine. Adding a dash of natural narcissus poeticus absolute to jasmine or any white floral is a trick all of is perfumers often employ to put the magic touch on white floral accords which seems to perfectly round them off. This is done so precisely in Olene that just were the jasmine ends and the wisteria and narcissus takes over is totally obscured. It's just one big very natural smelling jasmine accord packed with indole. I happen to love the smell of indole, even in its pure powder form, but I realize that most people find the slightly fecal mothball odor unappealing so when formulating I have to be careful not to have too heavy a hand. But I see time and again that in many perfumes too little indole is used and the jasmine accords smell "euphamized" and unrealistic but Olene is perfect. Into its drydown it takes on a little more generic white floral profile with some nice, very delicate green notes to highlight it. I found the sillage to be a good arm's length and it lasts a good 6 hours if not a bit longer. Since it's an eau de toilette and a floral that is about as good as can be realistically expected. I only wish they made an eau de parfum. So, for anyone looking for a great, true to life jasmine or white floral, this is the one I would recommend most. I can't say enough good about it.

I find Olene an absolutely stunning fragrance that really does smell like a cornucopia of flowers, just like the imagery on the bottle would have you believe. It is very light and effervescent, feeling like a fine watercolor painting of flowers that have been brought to life. I get all of the notes listed in this fragrance for sure, with the full linear progression of smelling narcissus, followed by honeysuckle, jasmine and wisteria. Honeysuckle and wisteria are what I get the most of on my skin, making it very sweet and white floral in a nectarous way as is common with honeysuckle, with the sensuous wisteria giving a spicy and mysterious smelling kick that grounds things and makes everything more lively. I do get the hay-like and heady smell of narcissus, but it is just touches here and there. The same goes for the heady and indolic jasmine you get in Olene. I would consider Olene a great fragrance to wear during the day both during the spring and summer seasons due to its light and airy character, as well as a great fragrance for a sophisticated and feminine woman. It doesn't smell old to me, but I don't see florals as being old fashioned like others do. I think that this perfume wouldn't offend anyone and that you could wear it most places and at most times, except for at night or during the autumn and winter time. Sillage is moderate, but the longevity on me wasn't the best. I had reapply every 4 hours or I couldn't smell it at all. It starts to become faint at the 3 hours mark on me. It isn't the best value for money, considering how long it lasted on me. It is a good quality fragrance though and it smells beautiful, which is why I'd give it a flat 8 out of 10. It would have been a 9 if it lasted longer on me, but I guess it is an eau de toilette after all, so that is to be expected of such a fragrance.

nostalgic delectation, sweet and soft. wet petals mashed between pale yellow and white polka dotted paper cranes. a white opal ring embellished with citrine and honey. summer evenings in the rural south; earthy naivety. memories in the making. broochy blossoms cascade to ankles, shoulders softly pushed forward in a curtsey, not like a proper lady but instead of an affectionate granddaughter who knows her way around a teacup. petals warm and soft against tender skin glowing in the golden hour sun, pressed softly and daintily by the hands of an angel. a gentle low voice speaking softly to me, a certain someone's breath in my ear. sharp young stems tucked in by creamy corollas who rule with grace. peachy skies, warm air, honeysuckle everywhere; on the sides of the road, surrounding forests, under bridges.. star jasmine growing above tunnels; engulfing rails, and climbing up sides of bakeries. heady, nectarous secretions blessing country roads. two white flowers sharing a bed, intertwining stems. carolinian cadence.. ~ walking through the park with friends and remarking that the tunnels smelled of candy, just to learn moments later that star jasmine and honeysuckle surrounded us. childhood memories of springtime and summer, running down the hills of my elementary school to find the honeysuckle bushes, siphoning their sweet nectar.. bare feet stumbling across white clovers, making friends with bumblebees. my heart.. tears fill my eyes. a fragrance that gently brings me to the midpoint between the dream world and the heights of lived experience. photorealistic, sweet, fresh, creamy. white, yellow, green. songs for olene: down periscope by orbidöig, the fragile class by parenthetical girls.

Wow, this is STUNNING! A great fresh, sweet, green *blooming* jasmine perfume. I absolutely adore jasmine, and have zero problems when I smell a fragrance that's basically a straight-up jasmine perfume. The added wisteria here makes it more pretty and sweet, though. This is more of a day-time jasmine scent. This is sunny, gentle breeze, Sunday picnic imagery. A rich, pretty, shy woman might wear this wearing a light, cotton white dress. Romantic and coquettish. I feel this is similar to the "Jennifer Aniston" EDP which - to me - is more subtle, and more of an evening jasmine. Both I LOVE. "Olene" is simple, but perfect. Well DONE, Diptyque. Like a garden full of flowers... You know, it's not easy to review perfumes sometimes... I get lost in the description and everything, and I don't always find the right words, but this one is just such a natural, peaceful smell for me. It's like standing in a summer garden full of beautiful flowers. I can't really describe it any better than that (but of course I'll try)! Diptyque - Olène is inspired by gardens in the city of Venice, where jasmine grows along walled gardens. Personally, this strikes me more as a garden surrounded by nature, not buildings. The notes work together in such harmony that it feels like you're really there! Jasmine is the main note, but green, and supported by more "green" notes, but also some very intense florals (which I'm not good at describing), like Narcissus, Wisteria, Honeysuckle etc. But like I said, this just reminds me of sitting or standing in a garden absolutely full of all the heady, intoxicating flowers you can think of. It's very floral, but also green and sheer, and I have no problem wearing it in summer or in winter. I think if you are someone who likes very natural smelling floral notes, or enjoy the smell of being in a garden, and working with plants, then you may fall in love with this one. How they managed to put all this in one bottle I have no idea... but it smells wonderful! Really lovely.

This is a photorealistic nose in flower fragrance. But not. It’s a nose in air that’s been completely drenched by the smell of fresh flowers. It’s like walking past a jasmin bush that has been basking in the sun all afternoon, or like like sitting on a balcony covered in wisteria. Both of which for me are specific memories from home. One of my guy friends smelled this on me and he said holy crap, YOU are what I’ve been smelling! He thought there were flowers around just out of sight. Granted this guy has style and taste but I was very surprised by how attracted he was to it as a fragrance, given its one i used to only wear for myself. Not what I would have chosen to attract a partner. All that’s changed now though ;) Definitely one to wear if you’re wearing white, plaiting your hair, and listening to bossa nova music in the sunshine. Best jasmine and wisteria I’ve ever smelled in a perfume. Can’t stress enough how real it smells! Imagery: a child's small bare feet on a warm wooden balcony, glowing purple from the wisteria hanging from the carved wood railings. A steel spiral forged chair, stable but wobbly on cobbled ground, a terrace near a beach path walked by tired people in white linen and black sandals. The time of day when the sun's at its lowest and the jasmine smells the strongest.

i was recommended olene at nordstrom by a fragrance expert after telling them i am a jasmine FREAK. my name is jazmine, my favorite flower is jasmine, this is ME. i've tried a number of fragrances with jasmine who try to write off being a "white floral" by masking it with some lousy excuse of citrus or pepper. but OLENE???? oh wow. olene feels almost like a lily of the valley scent, i believe because it is so white floral heavy it enhances the jasmine note rather than bury it. if you have ever been to venice, there is a soap store that sells hand soaps of jasmine and white florals. well this is EXACTLY what that store smells like. olene is very feminine, luscious, pretty, and fresh. i might add it feels fresh soapy and aquatic to me because i feel i was transported back to italy and remembering the beauty of venice. olene is a bouquet of the best white florals, and does such a good justice to jasmine. very soft, doesn't sting or feel like a grandma floral, and has been a head-turner for me even with just wearing the tester. i also wanna add, for an EDT, the projection is CRAZY. and definitely worth it for the price. 34/10. i will be purchasing the full size!!

To all of the people who described this as a lightweight floral - what the HECK? This is like getting slapped in the face with a jasmine bouquet. It smells exactly like fragrant jasmine tea, only ten times stronger! It chases me around with an aggressive scent trail, shaking me down every few minutes to remind me I've sprayed it. Luckily I adore jasmine - I wish I got more wisteria and honeysuckle, but even so it's the most photorealistic jasmine scent I've tried so far. My partner doesn't care for jasmine, so I wear this going out with the girlies when I want to feel feminine and dressed in flowing white linens. I don't really think this would be office safe as it projects QUITE far and is quite strong and jasmine can be very cloying for some people. But maybe if you're more daring than me you could pull it off. People might just think your pockets were stuffed with teabags though. I also find this a spring/warm fall fragrance... To soft of a scent profile for winter, too strong of a projection for summer. Perfect for warm breezy spring days of the last lingering warmth of the sun in fall. Once again Dyptyque knocked it out of the park!

Blind bought this fragrance looking for something truly jasmine-forward, and I'm pleased to report that it was a success. I've worn this perfume every day since it arrived and I've been searching for a way to describe it... truthfully, I did not really have a frame for what "indolic" meant prior to ordering this fragrance, but I think I understand now what that means... this fragrance, while beautiful, has a little bit of... stank, almost? Anywho, it isn't disruptive, I think it's really quite beautiful and natural smelling, but I've taken note of it relevant to other fragrances I enjoy, such as Love Tuberose by Amouage, which I don't find to have that quality. Olene is a beautiful, extremely spring-oriented fragrance... I can picture wearing this in a beautiful white dress. It feels.. innocent, ethereal...The sun rising on a crisp spring morning. Truly, angelic. Classy, timeless... elegant.. I could go on forever!! This is a beautiful, realistic jasmine with gently supporting honeysuckle. This fragrance is incredibly lush and abundant... At this point, Diptyqiue may be my favorite house.

Yesterday it was my birthday and although I knew I wanted to splurge on a fragrance I didn’t know it was Olene. I was looking for a big loud floral and was seriously looking for something with tuberose and/or lilac; after having smelled a couple of Montales, the shop assistant came up with something she described as a real floral cornucopia. I took a sniff at other high end scents but was totally into Diptyque – Olene was mesmerizing, nothing but flowers from the beginning to the end. Jasmine and honeysuckle at their finest, wisteria and daffodil as key distinctive notes. I find it both intoxicating and clean, classic but not outdated. Floral devoid of any non-floral frill. I was even more glad when I found out that the idea behind this fragrance was Venice with its calli and pergolas. As far as performance is concerned, sillage is quiet with moderate to long-lasting longevity. I recommend Olene to floral lovers who are looking for a summer fragrance with a timeless appeal. Oh, and the bottle looks just as great as the perfume.

Olene is THE early spring fragrance in my book. The opening is hyperrealistic daffodil - which I think is the same as narcissus? - and hyacinth for me, maybe because I have strong scent memories of those flowers from childhood. The entire bouquet is there, including stems and leaves as well as blooms; which is something that Diptyque does so well (think: fruit and leaf and branches in Philosykos). Then the jasmine bloom emerges and takes center stage. And finally, it all melts into an almost abstract floral, lightly musky skin scent that lasts for about 5 hours. Clean / dewy / bright / light green plant / yellow floral -> white floral PS: I recently heard rumors that this was being discontinued, although those rumors seem to start up whenever the fragrance isn't available on Diptyque's website for a while. To check it out, I called two different Diptyque boutiques here in Los Angeles and they both said it was not on their discontinuation list, so... Hopefully we will have many more spring seasons with this joyful fragrance!

This is absolutely enchanting - spring in a bottle. As was said below, this is a very photorealistic white floral, it's a spring walk in a blooming garden. It's an intense jasmin with some green notes and sweetness from the honeysuckle, which makes it smell more like a combination of variety of white flowers, rather than 'just' jasmine. It's very sentimental. The scent itself is a linear experience, and sometimes I still smell it after several hours, sometimes it disappears a bit quicker, but it's definitely not disappearing too quickly. I've had a different linear white floral (Tuberose Gardenia from Estee Lauder), and I see some similarities here, but Olene suits me much better than Tuberose Gardenia - possibly because it's slightly less intense/animalic and has that sweet note. Oh and side note, the bottle design with the cornucopia full of flowers is absolutely beautiful, especially when viewing it from the back!

This fragrance is pink silk, lilac ribbons, and soft white chiffon. Olene EDT smells positively purple to me. It is an ethereal, vintage floral that smells very realistic. The jasmine, wisteria, and honeysuckle stand out the most to my nose, and it is strangely nostalgic. It makes me think of something a delicate female character would wear in a Jane Austen novel. I can also imagine a Bridgerton character wearing this. The silage is intense for the first thirty minutes before fading to something softer. It really does smell like freshly picked flowers, and it is ideal for spring. I would not classify this scent as super indolic, but then again, indoles are something I typically enjoy in perfumery—I am not disgusted by them like some. I feel so pretty and pastel when I wear it. I wish the longevity was better, as I do have to re-spray around the four-hour mark. I will always have this EDT in my rotation, though.

Olene smells like elements of different perfumes I already have or have tested. A little bit of Symbol, a bit of Singularity, a bit of Gucci Bloom a little bit of ET Gardenia. Very pretty honeysuckle and jasmine dominate fragrance w/ greenness and a touch of lilac type quality, probably from the wisteria. The jasmine here is a bit indolic and I do like that, it is quite heady, thick and lush. Beautifully and fully floral, no heavy woodiness or oversweet vanilla choking out the floral notes. Slightly soapy, green, fresh, heavily floral, white and purple flowers, and, slightly indolic. Just a beautiful and fully lush floral. For those of us who still appreciate floral fragrances that are all about flowers. The only downside I don't get any narcissus here. This is a green, wisteria, honeysuckle, jasmine and white flowering trees of spring perfume. Very pretty and very feminine. I would buy this.

Since I already have Alrehab Full, when I smelled Olene, I immediately noticed the familiarity. But Olene is a premium original version, much more perfect and smoother than Full. I have never stopped loving White Flowers, specifically Jasmine, and I am satisfied with the Jasmine scent in Olene. When I smelled the first notes, I immediately imagined Jasmine bushes swaying in the radiant sunlight. The sunlight here is somewhat dazzling and dreamy like the paradise gardens in Grasse or Eguisheim, France. In addition, it also has a slight green tinge, making Olene clearer and purer. I absolutely love this fragrance, a peaceful and happy Jasmine scent. If you love the dreamy, romantic and Vibes style of the movie “Marie Antoinette” (2008) or Jane Austen novels then try Olene, it's the perfect fit. Rating: 9/10, I'm just not satisfied because the price is quite expensive

Given that big white florals are my number one perfume jam, I can’t believe that I’ve only just now smelled Olene. Maybe not so surprising, because while Diptyque has been around forever, its offerings weren't around in the ubiquitous, department store perfume counter way as things like Poison, Amarige, and Ysatis were when I was growing up. Today it’s sold at Dillard’s (go figure), which to me is huge because I like the history and aesthetics of this house. And I love Olene. It’s a white floral full of all the garden’s heavy olfactory hitters, including wisteria and honeysuckle, but with Diptyque’s slightly wonky hippie aesthetic imposed on top of it, so that while it’s strong and makes a statement, it’s not strident. It may have been launched in 1988, but its DNA seems rooted in the 1970s, less Pat Benetar and the Go-Gos, more Melissa Muldaur and Carole King.

Omg I was in love at first sniff! I was surprised since I feel this scent is quite underrated compared to other Diptyque fragrances. Such a beautiful flower bouquet of smells, and a sweetness that smells like honey! This is from the honeysuckles. It’s nostalgic for me since I used to suck on honeysuckle flowers as a child. For an EDT this scent is strong but not overpowering. There is a white floral jasmine scent there but it is very much balanced out by the sweet honey smell and a freshness to it that doesn’t come off as green but just realistic. I haven’t fallen in true love with a scent in a long time but I can’t stop smelling myself. As it dries down there is a strong true jasmine flower left in this perfume that lingers on. If you love sweet honey notes and jasmine this one is for you!

To this day this is THE most realistic floral fragrance I have ever smelled. Apart from the real flower, the only place where I smelled a jasmine note this realistic was when I was fortunate enough to smell a few of the essential oils that Francois Demachy personally uses in his lab. I have an extra appreciation for the narcissus here because it reminds me of when my grandmother used to give me a bouquet of fresh narcissus from her garden whenever we visited her house. If it's floral realism you're looking for, it cannot get better than Olene. My only complaint is that the wisteria makes it a little too spicy to wear for everyday use unless you're cautious with how much you spray. But for a springtime outdoors gathering with your friends, Olene is a 10/10

Every time I stop by the store I HAVE to get a whiff of this perfume. I am coutning down the DAYS I can make this scent mine. This is the BEST high end perfume if you're looking for a classical jasmine. NOT any white floral- JASMINES in particular. Which- for me at least, is so difficult to come by because most white florals focus on tuberose. Not this guy. Such a beautiful sweet scent- almost syrupy at first (because of the honey suckle). And then once it dries you have the best jasmine bush scent. If you're looking for a sweet white floral- look no further. My only comment- I wish it would last longer 3. White florals tend to die down rather quick unfortunately. You would need to reapply for strong sillage and logenivity.

明 耀 Bright one A man of no perfume-using, I sniff it from the cloth, inside each box there is its own testing paper. The opening and what developed in the middle arn't what I really care, what fascinates me is after hours the ultimate drydown. If the longevity is also very long lasting I call it My Treasure, really. After drydown Olene is a kind of pure jasmine, Jasminum multiflorum calls to my mind, man can call it the purest jasmine, the purest to the extent of exceptional. This is the most clean jasmine in my cabinet and the longevity makes it outshine. The first Diptyque I would like to have a real bottle in my life.

maybe the most perfect white floral i've ever smelled in my Life! delicate, heady, like a draught of sweet ambrosial nectar. really perfect now that the weather is getting cool, like carrying a crystalline shard of spring in your chest. good to know that the inclusion of honeysuckle & narcissus in a perfume is a surefire arrow of love through my heart. reference images: a small pearlescent unicorn figurine, a glass stalk of lily of the valley, a soft pinkish-cream silk scarf. i wish this scent wafted off of my skin 24/7, but i suppose in the meanwhile i'll buy a new sample now that i've run out.

out of all the diptyque perfumes i've tried, olene, for some reason, is the most long lasting on my skin. now, it isn't as long-lasting compared to an average designer perfume, as diptyque seems to have problems with longevity and sillage, but it still lasts longer than most. most fade away, but this one stays jasmine throughout. this is a very-in-your-face jasmine scent, and i love it - this might be the best jasmine perfume i've smelled. this is pure jasmine, like you're smelling a concentrated version straight from the flower. you can also smell a little bit of the honeysuckle. 9/10.

Chef's kiss! I will never accept any slander of this delicious fragrance. It's Diptyque doing what they do best. White jasmine, hot on a summer's evening wafting from the flowers as you walk past. Fresh, light, luxurious, yet rich, a little salty or musky note while it becomes something totally new on me as it wears down. Unlike so many other perfumes, there's absolutely nothing to dislike in this fragrance. No chemical note, no sharpness, you're just bathed in sweet fresh warm white flowers all the way down. It doesn't last all day but who cares.

Tried Olene at the airport last year and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I finally got a full bottle now. It’s the kind of scent that awakens my feminine side, it also screams “she’s that innocent main wife.” Picture this: Flower fields... spring air... your childhood home... white linen dress with a pocket full of freshly picked wildflowers... a house full of love... meeting a female figure you missed so dearly the only time you can see her is through dreams. Hauntingly beautiful. Doesn’t last very long but I enjoy every second.

Florals have been hit and miss for me because I find them too “feminine” and bougie most times. This reconciled me with the genre completely since, hello contradiction, jasmine is one of my favourite notes from long ago. This fragrance is delicate, elegant and unabashedly floral. It doesn’t sneak in spices or musk or anything to take away from its flower garden inspo. And it succeeds amazingly by going all-in. It has become one of my signature scents to my great surprise. Recommend if you love jasmine especially.

A very pure white floral scent. It's surprisingly tricky to find a white floral scent that is just straight up floral like this one. This smells... like smelling flowers. I love it. Reminds me of good memories of when I actually go outside in nature (lol)- but those make me happy to be alive. A good scent to remind yourself that you are alive. Probably also a very good layering scent, but I enjoy it on its own. Defiantly more of a spring smell, but I like it in winter too because its lovely in the cool breeze.

Around this time last year I received this as a gift. At the time I had been expanding my knowledge on fragrance notes and popular houses. Diptyque’s branding called to me since their bottles are individual works of art, I knew I wanted something from them to be the fifth addition for my collection. This is perfect if you want to smell like straight up photorealistic honeysuckle & jasmine! At first spray it can be a bit sharp but that dry down... It is genuinely gorgeous. So delicate and beautifully done.

This is a gorgeous jasmine fragrance that showcases the natural beauty of the flower without going too much indolic. Narcissus, honeysuckle and wisteria are recognizable, but they only enhance the beauty of the jasmine and add a tiny bit of sweetness. I understand the comparison to A la Nuit by Serge Lutens, but in my opinion, A la Nuit has more indolic qualities and less sweetness. Olene is softer and more palatable for those who are not used to natural smelling jasmine notes.

Shoving your face into a dew-covered jasmine bush the morning after rain, this is shockingly realistic and fresh and delicious. A perfume for a fairy drinking a tiny sip of water from a leaf cup, wearing a plush dress made of pure white flower petals. Not too innocent mind you, this is a grown up lady-fairy who has sex. Parfum d'étoiles by Ichiko Aoba. A perfect spring day. I think this would also be incredible on a slightly grungy skater type red flag dude.

A youthful jasmine perfect for spring! Does not dry down powdery or soapy, but stays florally fresh. It even seems a bit fruity for me, similar to how Osmathus reminds me of a fruity scent and its not as sharp as other jasmine scents. Smells very clean and beautiful, gives me the vibe of fairys running in a garden in long dresses :) It does stay quite linear and simple, but I like that it doesnt change into a stereotypical musk scent.

I love, love this perfume. I get a whole ton of jasmine, but nothing too overpowering that makes you feel sick. It is also somewhat sweet and a little bit like Jasmine tea! It’s such a beautiful scent that probably is my signature. My only complaint is that it doesn’t last very long and I find the need to reapply often. I just adore this! If you don’t like white florals, however, then this perfume probably isn’t for you.

This one is for the lovers of a past life. That they meet again. There is something about heavy florals, about honeysuckle and wisteria flowers that is just so irresistibly romantic and etheral. This perfume is best worn when you lay on someone's lap, your hair tickling their skin, your dress falling delicately off of your chest and you both smile; if you could stop this moment in time, you'd swear this is heaven.

Extremely beautiful and timeless jasmine fragrance. A hidden Diptyque gem to not miss out on!! Olene is perfect but simple... very photorealistic, makes me feel so pretty. Never really cared for white florals but this also makes me feel clean in a way that other perfumes I’ve tried (with a similar nature to them) don’t. Very dewy, light, and fresh. Perfect for spring and summer. I’m in love.

This is the most perfect flower perfume, which is not a pure rose. It smells clean, soft, romantic and timeless. I can not believe that this was released in the 80's. It is a very beautiful scent and yes very feminine I would say, the perfect bridal perfume. I prefer this one to Do Son because it feels more balanced and in a way more humble. If you love white flowers this is the one for you!

I had this and Do Son on my wrist on each side. This is a much lighter, fresher, prettier Jasmine that has some lighter floral notes to it. I actually dont smell too much green from it though, Just fresh florals, very pretty. Like Do Son's younger sister. They told me this wont come out in EDP because the scents are so top-note-heavy (florals) and they dont want to deepens it for EDP.

This reminds me of my childhood, taking my puppy for a walk around the neighbourhood and taking an extra big sniff when I would walk past my neighbour’s fresh jasmine bush. Now my family has moved out of my childhood home, my neighbours moved across the world and my puppy is turning 12 years old. This is nostalgic and beautiful and evokes bittersweet memories

Bright honeysuckle comes first. Jasmine at the edges, until it bustles to the forefront, taking over. Beautiful photorealistic floral. Reminds me of a juicier California Reverie. I'm sitting on my deck in springtime with yellow honeysuckle vines twirling around my table. Sunlight dappling the trees and flowers all around me. Mother nature coming for tea.

This is the 1st Diptyque fragrance that I purchased. I love it. I feel like this is unisex. I feel like this is more of a green plant fragrance than a white flower one. This works well with my body chemistry. I am a man and when people compliment me about this fragrance and ask what it is, they are suprised when I tell them it's a women's fragrance.

I am a nymph sitting in a wooded clearing, a bundle of white flowers in my arms. I adore honeysuckle and have been looking for a fragrance that captures the beauty of their scent. This does it. It's lasting power, projection, and sillage is low but the fragrance is so beautiful that it is still worthy of a full bottle purchase in my future.

This perfume to me smells like Bali; specifically, the Canang Sari daily offerings made by the Balinese Hindus. Jasmine and incense. Dries down with green notes, very pleasant. I'm an Indonesian living abroad and Olene reminds me of home. Wearing the scent on my skin invokes a sentimental feeling in me. 🥲

Soapy photorealistic honeysuckle! No warmth underneath, but more distinctive than a standard white floral cuz this is clearly honeysuckle or maybe jasmine and it feels like a soliflore. Would be excellent in the heat. It dries down very pretty and flirty; almost tropical. Not a stuffy white floral.

reminds me of my grandpa's garden where he had jasmine in bloom during the summer when we would visit. the scent is fresh, sweet & elegant, it feels refreshing to smell. for me a good fragrance brings nostalgia alongside the enjoyment of liking the perfume itself, this scent does exactly that

I just bought this and as soon as I got my nose on it, I loved it!! It reminds me of walking through a botanical garden. It starts out very green and a bit sharp, but the dry down on my skin leaves a very warm white floral. This is definitely my perfect fragrance for Spring!!

Fresh clean white floral scent with a hint of greenness without being artificial. Gives jasmine green tea vibes and for me its not too indolic and lasts a long time . Is it illegal to marry a fragrance? I think im in love 🥰 dare i say way better than do son? 🤭

Photorealistic jasmine, very natural smelling. It's like the night breeze of white flowers, it's just so perfect. I love this and Do Son to the moon and back. The longevity and sillage is my only qualm, it's not long lasting at all.
