Dolce Blue Jasmine

Opens up with a sweet mango paradise with a hint of fizz that's just right! It's not in the notes, but I also don't know what exactly a fig (or a blue fig, for that matter) smells like. It's tropical with a pinch of sea salt in there... tasty. As it dries down, the jasmine becomes a bit more vibrant and the sweetness mellows into a soft, sweet cream with a hint of powder. The jasmine is never overly sharp or nauseating at any point, but just right. The ending on my skin is a sweet powder - at some point, my skin made the perfume turn a bit bitter, but it wasn't in a bad way. Interestingly, the bitterness wore off, and that's not something that happens often for me! I'm surprised the composition of this perfume is so simple, because when I smelled it in the store, I knew it was an immediate buy! (Lol, seems I'm at it again with buying yet another white floral powdery scent... I just love these smells, not sure why!) I love the bottle design too - cute and elegant. Definitely a perfume safe for a young office worker, but see if you can sniff a tester before you buy. I don't smell any dill or pickles, so it seems this suits my skin chemistry. The longevity is a bit weak on me, but that's easily solved by spraying before dressing, or spraying in hair. Fun fact: smelling this before taking a sip of your coffee makes it taste like it has more depth/is nuttier - no seriously, try it! You'll thank me later. :) --- Update: I now smell the dill and pickles. It only comes out if you spray too much and/or you spray it on clothes, so spray less and you'll be less likely to have the issue. On my skin, it's never there, but on my clothing, it shows up if I've sprayed too much.

When I first spritzed an Ulta sample of this perfume, I was transported to a sun-kissed beach. The blend of fig and jasmine creates a delicate yet intoxicating fragrance that feels like a gourmand without being overly sweet or cloying—making it an ideal scent for summer. Despite lacking any salt notes, this perfume conjures the essence of salty beach air, reminiscent of a day spent on the pier of Pismo. I can smell Ouai wave spray in my hair, mingling with the subtle, nostalgic scent of Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen. There's an almost magical quality to how it captures the carefree feeling of summer, enveloping you in a warm yet breezy embrace. I suspect this beachy feeling might be unique to me—I really couldn't tell you how I am getting all that from fig. Another reviewer compared it to Alien Goddess, and I agree! I had the same feeling with Goddess as I do with Blue Jasmine (and I believe Goddess has a note of coconut). I’ve seen some reviews mentioning a dill note, but I personally don’t detect it at all. Instead, I feel fortunate that the fig comes through so prominently on my skin. This fig note, lush and ripe, is beautifully complemented by the jasmine, adding a touch of floral elegance to the overall composition.

I was going through perfumes at Ulta and the young lady that worked there was giving me all kinds of suggestions. She realized that I was very much into perfumes and suggested this one. Fell in love right away. I have nothing that smells like it. It gives a nice fresh white floral and sweet scent, with just a hint of wood behind it. I see that everyone says it kind of has like a pickled dill smell behind it and it does not to me. I have no idea what they think they’re smelling. I do know that Jasmine has a tendency to give a little smell behind it that can be bothersome, but definitely not dill. My only complaint is that it does die down eventually to lighter scent after a couple hours and you will need to spray again if you’re out for a a while. Otherwise, a beautiful scent. A great scent for spring or summer. I was suggest it for day and night. Whether going out for brunch, a date, or to work and definitely for vacation.

A number of this D&G range arrived a few weeks back at my local Superdrug in the UK; I was intrigued to try them but there were no testers available - this is frequently the case in this store, and I was told that the goods are shipped to meet launch dates, but the testers don't always get sent at the same time, and sometimes they don't get a tester at all. Bizarre! Anyway, whilst in store today I noticed that the testers for this range had finally arrived, and decided the one I really wanted to try was Blue Jasmine - I was interested in the fig note, and I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I sprayed this, I knew it was a keeper; although jasmine is in the title, this on me, is a fig and cedarwood delight. It smells cosy, warm and creamy, and with a more autumn/winter vibe. Five hours on from application, and it is still going strong, although mostly cedarwood. Will definitely be getting a bottle in the next week or so.

this is delightful! one of the most unique scents i've ever smelled imo. took me by surprise especially for a designer scent. the opening in particular is such a deviation from anything else you'll smell on the store counter. it's more green than blue, technically? but at the same time i feel like the blue bottle perfectly encapsulates the scent’s lifting sweetness. still vaguely aquatic while managing all these other woody and fresh and sweet elements. it smells like an iridescent shimmer. a sugary flower-stems green- my favorite type of green, not screechy or harsh at all, but a deeper, crackling, sunny green. i guess that's the fig. it almost reminded me of crushed violets in its initial texture. then the jasmine comes across like a character at a masked ball, she's there but you almost don't recognize her because she's all dressed up and half-concealed and always in the background. less is also more w this one.

i smelled this at ulta yesterday and went back today and bought it!! really beautiful floral creamy fig fragrance that doesn’t lean too mature or too green. i love fig but im very picky with it. i’ve seen some reviews saying they smell dill but i think that could be due to the heavy cedar base. i personally dont pick it up but i can see how some people do. the longevity and sillage are moderate and that’s how i like my fragrances. i am prone to headaches and this was a safe one for me, i love it but do not recommend blind buying! great for summer and warm weather overall 8/10 !!!

I definitely did not expect to love this fragrance as much as I do! It has an intimate composition with simple opposing notes that work shockingly well together. Sticky-sweet ripe fig is undercut by the light-tea-floral of jasmine and rounded out by the sort of sun-warmed resin feel of the cedarwood. To me, it smells like hot summer days cooling off in the evenings as we near fall.

I was so excited to try this because of the fig. It was love at first smell, then..... somebody pass the catsup, because I’ve got the dill pickles! Weird that not everyone is getting that. Must be certain body chemistry mixing with the cedar. Too bad because the opening was lovely and special.

The fragrance smells like very realistic creamy jasmine and figs, cedar is very delicate, the only disadvantage of the fragrance is the lack of top notes, freshness, in the heat it can suffocate, it sits very close to the body like an oil perfume or body lotion, but it sounds very natural.

I LOVE THIS! The way the cerdarwood is prevalent near the start but it mellows out with time, the way the fig and jasmine marry to make a sweet and slightly floral scent, amazing! It's true, it fades fast, but since it's one of my favorite perfumes and it is so intensely worth it!

Only in high heat I'm wearing this today..and this perfume smells totally better than in colder weather..it's just a sweet jasmin fig combo..and projecting over the roof...its wow! perfect for summer

First impression: Heaven. Jasmine on your childhood home's garden. Next day: dill. But dill is fresh when enjoyed with potato, so maybe it will suit my potato essence...

As an Northern American, l associate fig smells with autumn and winter, so this is just universally a great holiday perfume as it's very versatile

I'm surprised by the low ratings. I got this bottle in a sample set and just tried it today. Absolutely fresh, creamy and delicious so far.

Sweet fig, really nice Not a typical jasmine scent

This opens as a light watery fruity floral. No fig. Red cox apple and jasmine. Very pretty. Sweet yet light. The fruity floral accord continues into the heart with an added splash of light diluted blackcurrant juice and a hint of tea rose amongst the cox apple and light watery jasmine. Defo some floralozone or lotus here as the wateriness becomes more prominent as it continues into the dry down. Freshness from the wood in the base pulls through here. In the dry down the cedar is a bit more present but just enough to add a little fresh dry woodiness with a hint of balsamic that adds a slightly buttery aspect to the jasmine. The sweetness dissipates. There’s a flicker of bitey fruit in the base but it’s still not fig, definitely more cox apple. It settles as a slightly sweet dry woody aquatic floral of light watery jasmine and a hint of tea rose. A very pretty, clean, fresh sweet yet light aquatic floral. It feels familiar, a bit like an expensive facial treatment. But as I picked this sample as part of my fig exploration, and there was zero fig to be found, I’m left a little disappointed, but will happily use up the sample in warmer weather in the new year.

Did I get a whole different batch than everyone else? I definitely don't get dill pickles 🥒🤣. I also don't get any fresh fruits, especially anything juicy like mango or tropical like coconut. On my skin this is a very simple, soft and powdery scent. Honestly after the very initial opening it smells just like Downy Ultra or the Snuggle that has blue flowers and a blue lid on the bottle. It's a pretty scent that smells like high quality fabric softener. I don't want to wear this on my skin, but I would love to wriggle into clothes fresh out of dryer that had been washed in it. It's a soft, inviting, powdery-fresh scent. Very jasmine forward, I don't find anything fruity or sweet here at all. Just a powdery jasmine. Perfect fabric softener/dryer sheet scent. I might use it on clothes or duvet covers when I want them to smell soft and freshly washed.

I mean, I kinda get the dill, but somehow it's not really bothering me...? It's just in the opening, then it fades into this really creamy, fruity-flowery mix, that is perfect for the summer. To be honest, I feek like this could be an Escada fragrance. It has similar DNA as many of the summer perfumes from Escada, only less tropical than they tend to lean. But I like it, because you just want to smell lika a creamy, sensual fruit salad during the summer sometimes?! This also last for about 8 hours on my skin, and even longer on my clothes, which makes tha price point really good. However, this perfume isn't really anything THAT special. It is a sweet, creamy, fruity-floral perfume that smells just like summer, but that has been done so many times before, which is why this is a like and not a love for me.

I smelled this by chance while on holiday in Sicily. I expected not to like it, but I was wrong! It opens very fresh with the Jasmine, and the drydown for me is sweet fig and a woody note. I love it on my skin. Ended up getting myself a bottle. I researched this afterwards and saw all the pickle/dill comments and I really do not get that. It is definitely jasmine, fig and woody, just as the composition is described. Will enjoy it these last few spring days and summer (maybe not on super humid days).

Doesn't impress me all that much, like most designer perfumes, but it is so nice to get a whiff of it unexpectedly throughout the day. It's basic & lovely. Sharp, slightly sweet and aquatic. A quiet river running through a bed of jasmine. The pickle phenomenon is something I'm familiar with, but I'm not getting that here. I'll bet what people are picking up on is the cedarwood turning slightly sour around the wet jasmine. I do not think anyone would smell pickles on you if you wore this.

Florals aren’t my first choice by any means, but after having this sit on my shelf for months with sparse usage I decided to give it another go and it unexpectedly grew on me heavily. Such a simple frag but it works well enough with my skin to have me reaching for it repeatedly, even in the dead of winter right now when all I usually want to wear are my gourmands. I layered it once with JHAG’s Juliette and I felt like a wild, snow-covered rose. I actually love it.

Pickles ?Seriously now ?You probably must hate this brand house ....So unfair!!! :( This perfume smells light sweet,clean and fig. It reminds ALOT of Diptyque Philosykos with the difference that Diptyque smells little more soapy and intense fig while Blue Jasmine lean more on the light sweet side. IF YOU WANT TO SAVE SOME MONEY ,BUY THIS INSTEAD OF DIPTYQUEand thank me later ^^

On the scent card, without looking at the name or notes, it did remind me of Dove Blue Fig body wash! I laughed when I saw it had fig and was called blue jasmine. It smells really nice and I look forward to testing on skin. Might be a really great warm weather option for something yummy and casual. Will update after I test

Based on the reviews, this is a “try before you buy” because it doesn’t seem to play well with everyone’s skin chemistry. I don’t get dill or herbal notes at all. In fact, for me it is a very linear sweet jasmine that mellows as it settles. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a pleasant picnic in a garden scent!

It smells just like its sister, Dolce Garden, just less gourmand, more Jasmine zest. I think I prefer this because it doesnt feel as cloying as Garden. Its giving me a little bit of generic vibes, but I'd still like to have it because its sweet and pleasant, and quite refreshing for a humid climate.

Yes, it does smell like dill and pickles but for some strange reason it works! 🤔 It also smells abit like mango which is not in the notes. I like the drydown.. woodsy and floral and I like it despite the dill note ☺️ Somehow addictive! Rating: 6/10

This is a pleasant and elegant sping and summer time fragrance. I received a sample, been using it a couple times and my mother in law likes it a lot, so I think this will be her mother's day gift. It's pretty and feminine, suits all ages imo.

Love the opening, the dry down..but the very late dry down smells, the smell on the clothes the next days is like pickle juice and dill 😵💫 Otherwise it is strong, sweet. It makes me think of a holiday on the Amalfi coast.

This fragrance is beautiful. Literally a pretty girl scent. I get the fig and jasmine and it even has a slight creaminess from the fig. Fresh, airy, slightly sweet and just an all around lovely spring and summer scent.

i’ve smelt pickles in frag before and i smell none here.. such a surprise.. simple and complex at same time.. sweet, jasmine-y, i swear i smell coconut but not listed, creamy and sweet.. just lovely!! well done!

I actually quite like it! It’s very simple but also very cheerful! Milky yet fresh fruits (I’m getting more coconut than fig tbh) and classic soft floral base with lots of musk. Nice beach type of scent!

I don't get the "smelling like dill" accusations. I tried it from 2 different stores, on my skin and on a testing strip and all I get is exactly the heavy sweetness of a fig and creamy jasmine.

Very interesting and charming mix! Slightly sweet and fruity, but fresh. Fresh, but creamy and soft and warm and cozy. Tried it, because I like fig in parfumes and it occured to be a success.

This is one of those ones that proves to me that sometimes you can't go by ratings. This one is very pleasant. It's a soft Jasmine with a little bit of sweetness. Very pretty

Where is the fig??? I did’t got it at the opening and missed it during the whole composition. Not in the listed notes, but i do get lilac. Blue Jasmine (what a lovely name) made me think of a combination of the vintage White Linen by Estée Lauder and the bright A Drop d'Issey Fraiche EDP by Issey Miyake and than... the volume all the way down. Lasted a good 5 hours on my skin and stayed close. I did not oversprayed it. Love love love the bottle and wished I loved the scent even more. It is skillful and really well balanced, though i find it boring. Hence we must not forget the amount of new parfums is mental so to stand out is perhaps a challenge. Anyway Blue Jasmine won’t be a valuable add on to my collection. But if you need a nice delicate fresh flowery not to disturb anyone kind of fragrance and it is still missing on your parfumtray enjoy the bottle ;)

I was really hoping to enjoy this fragrance, and while I really liked it I can't say that I would purchase it. After applying a heavy amount, I could still hardly smell it on me, and had to get VERY close just to get a whiff. Then after about two hours it was almost entirely gone. The scent was a very nice fruity floral that, despite being somewhat creamy (which I tend not to like) and a bit generic, I really enjoyed. Had this been just a bit stronger I would have absolutely considered purchasing. That being said, the original Dolce isn't very strong either, so perhaps I should have expected it to be somewhat weak, at least on em.

When I smelled this one straight from the bottle, it got me excited! It was slightly sweet, very creamy, soft and fresh at the same time. Very promising. Also the bottle is really beautiful. I had high expectations. Everything changed when I sprayed it on myself. it was like a childish perfume. Like plain water infused with some fruity smell. I never smelled fig at all. Zero longevity and projection, It disappeared immediately. But Maybe it could be a good choice for hot summer days, cause its very fresh, light and insensible. Overall: Irrelevant.

Alright. Light, clean, laundry, jasmine but in a mature way. Non invasive, but too "put together and grown up" for me. I only notice the fig slightly when first sprayed but the dry down is where the rest of the smell lingers that I don't enjoy too much.

Gawd... While the rest of the world moves forward, D&G drops this. At first, I honestly thought it was a joke. The opening? Sure, the fig is cute. I love fig. But then, in a matter of minutes, it dries down into what can only be described as powdered sugar over jarred pickles. No, y’all, your noses aren’t broken. Yes, it really smells like that. And no, this isn’t some quirky designer artistry. Just D&G being lazy again. And the bottle? Fugly and full-on grandmomish. Tacky flower cap. Stupid little bow. Looks like it belongs on a cluttered vanity between a crocheted doily and expired lotion. In my book, this doesn’t even qualify as deodorant. D&G, wake up. Stop embarrassing yourselves. 1/5. Starts in Sicily, ends in your nana’s pantry. 🫠

A blind buy, pretty much a failure. I don't hate it but I definitely do not like it either, however I thought that I will adore this since I adore jasmine but the fig is way too overpowering & clogging, also a very synthetic fig, very different from Philosykos - Diptyque. Also a bit too herbal and green for me but if you like Mugler Les Exceptions Mystic Aromatic, Hermes Eau de Basilic Pourpre or Acqua di Parma Colonia Club, this is something similar but cheaper. at least the bottle is cute :)) oh and I loved the movie!

This is described as a fruity floral, but this is just floral (that is slightly aquatic). Blue Jasmine is a very accurate name for this fragrance. That said - the jasmine is just a bit too overpowering. If it were toned down, I think this would be a great summer fragrance (that isn't your typical sunscreen, citrus, or coconut scent). Beast mode fragrance in a beautiful bottle, but a bit too sharp to add to my fragrance collection.

This doesn’t smell good to me. I didn’t like it at all. Nondescript florals and cedarwood. I normally really like fig notes but it tends to bitterness here. Sniffed at ULTA and it just wasn’t for me. Cedarwood fragrances aren’t my favorite so that’s probably what ruined it for me. Oh well, everybody can’t like everything.. if you like woodsy florals, you may want to sniff. It’s a fresh type of floral scent, no sweetness.

Very boring and uninteresting. Fig stays on the skin for about 15 minutes, jasmine note is very ordinarily and not crisp, and on my skin it also stays for another 15 minutes. On the drydown it has a bit creamy note but the projecting is absolutely disappointing. Overall I would not recommend this perfume. There are tons of more interesting and longer lasting products out there.

very interesting fragrance. It is simple and smells like an Italian summer to me, but without citrus. On my skin the fig is green and milky. It also smells a bit salty. It is sensual and sexy. The creamy saltiness is a little off putting to me and makes it not my vibe.
