Light Blue Italian Zest Pour Homme

This is a galant effort, I have to give it some credit. I thought this kind of thing to be a waste of time, the original light blue was ultimately forgettable but didn’t offend me in any way. This zest version is actually okay because, although not groundbreaking in any regard, it knows what it is and doesn’t have any of that generic and despicably, mixed up cynicism of many second rate and redundant flankers. The grapefruit, lemon and mandarin in here are very pleasant in the opening and the base is a light, musky powder poof! I mean it’s no Chanel Allure homme edition Blanc but it’s very wearable and surprisingly long lasting for such a subtle scent. I think I’m going soft in my old age as historically, this scent would’ve got the usual Houdini scalding, but I’m in a good place and really digging on citrus and fresh fragrances at the moment, so this gets off easy. It’s okay by me. What I don’t like is the cheapness of the bottle. Is it me or does the font and all that writing on the bottle look a bit tacky? Not to mention the puke yellow stopper.

This cologne is very romantic and intimate. If you are in a relationship this fragrance will keep your spouse close to you at night. This fragrance reminds me of a ysl cologne that i have. I love this fragrance more than creed aventus. This fragrance smells zesty,its fresh like a tangerine when you peel it,then it has a intimate romantic feel to it. If you love fragrances like creed, Kenneth cole,ysl,or spicebomb you will love this. This fragrance should be relaunched. I have never been kissed by a bottle of cologne, tonight i was kissed by this.

I think this is the best version of Light blue at the moment. As others have written, it opens up with a blast of delicious citrus, than goes to the direction of the original. The citrus weakens but the fragrance keeps some of its zestiness throughout the dry down. The performance is average but definitely better than the original. Beautiful summer scent. 9/10

This one is nice. Got that vibe of the original. But more citrus notes.kinda gives that aquatic vibe to it as well. Very nice scent. Will be digging this on hot summer days.

I like the throwback, and that it stays true the flanker rule and evoking images of the original. It does in that it smells like the smell of a decade ago, and is mild as f(and Light Blue was no screamer). I purchased in the cool weather, so won't enjoy it much till the hot weather. But yeah, it's more or less so far a watered-down, watered down spritz. Got a 75ml for $39.99 so that's probably the catch? lol. I'm content because it allowed me to get the throwback back in my life without me going to refill the original, and is a whisper diff smelling and of course looking to make it relevant-ish again. Still, I almost felt embarrassed wearing it as new, as D & G should, for selling it now and not in 2011 maybe.

tried today at sephora. i wrote in a old topic that could be a great summer citrus scent. yes is it. but is only this. a very very strong citrus scent and nothing else.no other notes.only grapefruit,mandarin orange and bergamot.nothing else. not other from the first spray to the end. fantastic performance. but this scent goes in only one direction. only for citrus lovers. not for me. is too citrus for my taste.9/10 for who loved citrus scent.5/10 for me. after 3 wash of hand the parfum is here. incredible. real sud italian agrumes.

Ah yes, I see the troll votes are in. It's so odd to think there are people who troll on a fragrance website. I mean I sort of understand how for example some kid who has an Xbox would go to a gaming site and downvote some Playstation games... But fragrances? Really? Anyway Italian Zest is practically the original Light Blue but with an extra T H I C C citrus opening. Sillage & lasting power are moderate at best, but it's a really nice scent. Ignore the cheap looking bottle/box design and give it a try.

If you know that DG Forever is all about grapefruit, this one is typically about citrus, but not as photorealistic as the grapefruit in Forever, which may make it more wearable for some. I reach for it from time to time on days like today – a weekend Saturday – to relax. I see that several people have compared it to Lacoste – in my opinion, they are quite different, but you could say that they are similar territory or vibe.

One of those scents I’ve never really understood myself, but always gets compliments from people. Personally I think it’s boring and has far too much lemon (given the name I don’t know why I am surprised by this) but if women like it, who am I to argue. A shame then it’s now in ever-dwindling supply, with prices on eBay commanding a ‘healthy’ premium over what used to be retail.

I really think this is a fantastic scent. The opening is super duper lemony with the light blue DNA noticeable in the background. As much as I love the opening and the presentation, to me the dry down is very similar to Light blue intense (which I own already) so I most likely will not be getting a full bottle. A super refreshing scent for the upcoming warmer months!

Perfectly pleasant summer fragrance. Fresh, clean, summery, pleasant. Good for any age. Perfect for a man (or woman) who wants to smell great in the summer but doesn't care much about fragrances and isn't looking for anything stunning. Suits its purpose. I also get good longevity on this, 8+ hours, which is nice.

It has a beautiful opening full of citruses. Grapefruit, bergamot and mandarine. With that order. There is also spicy rosemary and the original Light Blue DNA much toned down. This is why I like it. Noce and safe scent for summer daytime. Performance is moderate-average.

The musk is really sexy and strong, it blends really well with my skin. The citrus is great and lasts really long although projection is mediocre at best, it is a casual scent for the day. It suits best on summer days and really maintains through hot weather. 7/10

I have to give it a few wearings and do a complete side by side with the original. It reminds me of the original but with more of a citrus blast from first spray. You still get whiffs of it within the first hour. Definitely brings a warm spring/hot summer vibe

Projects and lasts about the same as Light Blue, with a REALLY strong lemony note. I prefer original Light Blue over this, but I'd recommend testing both of them and forming your own opinions.

There are many scents I dislike, but there are a few that I despise. Musk is one of them. Scents in the fecal-floral family are love/hate. I have always found them repulsive because while I do smell the flower, I also smell the waste. The first does nothing to attenuate the second, so I've never understood why these are popular. With Italian Zest I can however slightly, for the first time, appreciate this odor. The musk is there, it's not hiding, but it's artfully blended so as to share the stage with the citrus. To me this is very much a novelty. A scent that's balanced on a knife edge. Unlike anything else I own and I certainly wouldn't be heartbroken if I didn't, Italian Zest is albeit interesting from time to time on a very hot, humid day. ***Scents, like tastes, are subjective. Wear what you like***

I’m conflicted on this one. I like the first scent after spraying it. It is a nice citrusy smell, but after a bit it starts smelling like a cheap perfume with mandarin peels and grapefruit notes, and it’s not as pleasant. I had to remove it from my skin as it just wasn’t so nice. The sillage is moderate and my roommate, who also wore it, told me for him, the longevity was of 3 hours or so. The value is pretty ok for what you get, and it’s a more masculine scent but can be used as unisex. Overall, it’s a 6/10 from me.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Zest Pour Homme it's nothing Just Lemon flavour.

This one you must try first only because it's not safe for a blind buy. It reacts very different between on strip paper and your skin. Spray on the strip and you would get a good refreshing smells. On my skin is another story, this one is a disgusting weird powdery smell in the dry down. I couldn't bear with it even for a few minutes. Performance is moderate with moderate longevity and soft on sillage. I love D&G light blue series especially Eau Intense but this one is a waste. An insult to the Light Blue series and shouldn't be made in the first place. I'm wondering if they ever took a time to test it before release on the market. The worst blind buy of the year, 3.5/10 to me. I just gave a bottle to my younger cousins without hesitate.

As time goes by,he becomes more musky and moosy with a hint of rosewood and the citrus notes recede into the background. Italian Zest has similarities to Light Blue pour Homme. Longevity - 6/10(5-6 hours) Silage/Projection - 6/10(moderate projection for the first 1 hour,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather - best in spring and summer(Versatility-8/10) Age - 17+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 7,5/10 Main notes according to me - grapefruit,bergamot,mandarin,rosemary,rosewood,musk. The drydown is more musky and moosy and I get some - musk,moss,citruses and rosewood. Emotions - refreshing,ocean,walking on the beach,vacation,bright. Occasion - perfect for casual activities,office,scholl and college. Very safe,pleasant and non-offensive scent.Could be a nice signature scent.You'll get compliments with this one.

This was one of my first fragrances, my first one I can remember was la nuit de lhomme, but when I was 13 or so people told me that girls liked much more citrus fragrances on men, so I found this one in the store and bought it, i used for some time and then I realized it smelled just like a citrus bathroom cleaner and never used it ever since. Recently I found the bottle (i’m 18 now) and i came to the same conclusion, bathroom cleaner. Nothing special, below average silage and lasting power also not offensive, but if you wanna smell like my clean toilet go ahead...

A nice fresh grapefruit smell with the original light blue hiding in the base notes. Nothing special but not bad at all. Better sticking with the original light blue then layer it with a generic lemon scent because for me once the citrus blast is gone it doesn’t linger that long. The original light blue projects a lot better and last longer so I think it would be better the kind of make your own fragrance with light blue as the base.good smell but underwhelming considering how much I love light blue

This smells like a toned down, slightly cheaper smelling version of Light Blue Eau Intense. With cheaper I mean it actually smells like a standard designer, whereas imo Eau Intense has a somewhat more premium high end designer type of feel to it. Eau Intense I see more suitable for summer nights or cooler summer days, this however is excellent for extreme high temperatures. If you like the Intense and want a more subtle and versatile version of that, this one is worth the try

I tried it and bought it on the spot for my 14 year old...it is very fresh, and the base stays fresh yet a bit warmer...I feel it is very appropriate for a teenager, or any guy looking for a fresh light cologne,as it isn't heady, or overly mature...it is lighter than the light blue Intense.. and rather similar..it would be perfect on a summer vacation too..The juice really makes you think of summer, of a cool breeze..really liking it..so does my son.

This definitely looks interesting.. I have rarely seen a fragrance with a name like "Italian Zest".. I am however surprised that noone has mentioned that the note breakdown provided is pretty much the same exact note breakdown of the original Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme which leaves me wondering if this is indeed a new flanker or just the same old Light Blue juice in a limited edition bottle? I guess we will find out sooner or later..

Very nice smelling. It is close to the original just more polished and smooth. Its like you added a super fresh but smooth fresh, not that piercing zesty lemony opening to the eau extreme version. Lasts a bit more than the original, but that nice opening is gone within first half an hour. For me, a redundant release but being a summer limited one, its okay.

I have been rocking this tangy juice recently, and it's beginning to appeal to me, the subtle drydown is quite pleasing to my nose and while it's performance is not perfect, it still lingers on thru the day. A flanker that is going to be overlooked and it shouldn't the citrus addition to this fragrance make it better that the original light blue...IMO.

Its smells good. The usual Italian citric touch with the zestiest crisp/spiciest opening of this genre. It’s worth a try. Is it worth buying yeh if your a collector or just don’t a have light blue version summer scent period. Other than that light blue original is the great

Is it just me or are the notes listed here identical to the original Light Blue? Could this be what the intense version was supposed to be? More zesty, modern, but keeping that core DNA of the original. Still, to me, living Stromboli is the best Light Blue from the line.

After being let down by the sheer saltiness of Light Blue Intense, I really am looking forward to this one. Looks like some interesting notes there. I'm especially excited to see incense. Can't wait to try this!

Way toooooo much lemon. On me, a box of Lemon Heads. On coworker, straight lemon floor cleaner. No thank you D&G. Thank goodness its a limited edition. Does not deserve a forever status

The notes are definitely interesting ,on paper it sounds pretty great for a summer fragrance . Hope I can find a place to buy or someone selling :)

The font of "Italian Zest" speaks "I'm not important. I'm just one season thing". Hope the smell is actually good.

this one has a very beautiful zesty citrusy opening ... but it doesnt last long... has very weak performace.

On paper it's 50% AdG Absolu, 50% Hermes Eau de Citron Noir. Will try on skin
