DKNY Stories Eau de Toilette

EDP has its similarities with Womanity. Not this one. Delicious and delightfully rich. Dessert fruits and cream with comforting spices. I’m so glad I bought the EDT version. I usually prefer EDP, but didn’t get that vibe this time.. DKNY stories EDT is so smooth.

Well, after using up my small bottle of the EDP and also owning and frequently using the EDT (big bottle) I’ve decided I don’t want to live without either of these. In my opinion, Stories is the best of this genre that I’ve tried. I own Womanity. This is better. I owned Olympea. This is better. I own LVEBSC. This is better. These (both EDP and EDT) last just as long as the others but I love them far more than any of those. It’s the Ylang here, in the EDT, and the vanilla in the EDP, that really make this fragrance special for me. These elements add sweet creaminess to the scent and I love that creamy undertone. They dry down to basically the same perfume, but the EDP does last longer. The EDT, though, is also pretty long lasting. I should probably only buy the EDP since they are so very similar but I have a deep love of Ylang Ylang so I buy both and layer. Bottom line: Stories, either version, is a fantastic fragrance for summer. Solid. Very good value and quality. PS. I always get compliments on these two perfumes. EDP/edt, both. In the dry down this reminds me of a creamy, spicy, sweet, cold, horchata drink. It’s not exact, but it’s a close approximation of the way this smells.

I fell in love with the original EDP and I went on the hunt for this EDT version. I’m not disappointed but It definitely doesn’t hit the spot like the EDP. This one starts with a punchy citrusy-fruitier-peppery opening. The florals are a bit more prominent also. Rose and ylang-ylang definitely present. There’s still vanilla in there intertwined with suede. The suede is really what changes the base and vibe of the scent. The original is a sweet ripe guava, whipped cream, salted vanilla fragrance. This EDT reminds me a lot of - ‘Nomade’ by Chloe. They were both launched around the same time (pre pandemic) 2018-2019. I used to work at a Macy’s warehouse where we handled fragrance samples and those suede peppery notes was what was “in” in the fragrance industry at that time. This one has more of an elegant, formal vibe. All in all; it’s lovely, it’s discontinued and I won’t be repurchasing.

got this from my boyfriends father, i already tried it on paper earlier, i liked it but would have not bought it myself. it is lasting and strong for an edt but not offensive. its like a fresher creamier and lighter version of stories edp/olympea

Disappointed. I found it a bit odd and plasticky. Granted, this is unlike any other mass market perfume, but it's not as tropical as some reviewers suggest. It's sweet, but not at all juicy nor creamy. Avoid.
