Beach Blanket

This is a ridiculous perfume. Ridiculously good. It was either going to be excellent, or horrible, and it’s the former, not the latter. At first, I wasn’t into it, something hit me a little off when I first applied it. The coconut suntan lotion accord smelled basic and unpleasant, too sharp and sweet. But I moved around last night, doing whatever it was I was doing, and it bloomed and changed quite beautifully. Not at all linear, we have a beautiful top, middle, and bottom perfume pyramid here. It smells comforting as heck, and also just – GOOD. Second day, second wearing, and I didn’t get that strange, sharp/sweet smell hitting me in the noseholes this time, it was just comforting beachy goodness from the get-go. Longevity topped out at about 4 hours for me on a 100 degree F day using the Voile de Parfum, and not a ton applied. I’d like to see what happens with the longevity using the oil essence. Top notch, top marks! FBW. Made me feel sessy.

I first sampled this comforting, intoxicating, nostalgic, Beach Blanket scent about a year ago and loved it and used the whole 1ml vial immediately. I forgot to go back and buy it, but it was SO memorable that now, a year later, I immediately thought of it when I was looking for summer scents. Immediately went to the site and bought the VDP roller. It shocks me that more people don’t know about this, so I will spread the word if I can. It’s better than several summer scents I also own..better than Jo Malone Beach Blossom, better than Kilian Sunkissed Goddess, better than Vacation, better than Replica Beach Walk...the list goes on. This is blended and done so well that it really does encompass summer at the beach. Saltiness, light sweetness, sun, sea air, beach blanket/towel, and the nostalgic scent of coconut sun tan lotion/oil. Love it! I tried to think of a comparable scent but I can’t. This is a true original and beautiful scent. ❤️

This is the most realistic coconut sunscreen smell I've ever encountered (outside of actual sunscreen, obviously). But it's a really nice sunscreen, not chemical-smelling at all, and Beach Blanket isn't the smell of sunscreen right out of the bottle as you're applying--it's the lingering smell of sunscreen on your skin after you've been outside for a couple of hours. Basically this is perfect, is what I'm saying.

This is the coconut perfume ! It's better than all the other coconut perfumes I tried before... After 2min or so I can smell the sea notes. It just brings some freshness and overall it becomes slightly less sweet. On my to-buy list for this Summer. I might even buy a huge bottle. It's that good. It's tropical, summery, happy. It brings a smile to my face. I hope people around me loves coconut.

Coconut, sea-salt with lemon / neroli notes rolling in and out. It's warmer than similar fragrances, just like its namesake, a beach blanket! I like it.
