Passion for Men Cologne Concentree

Picked this up for more than I cared for, but it's discontinued, and i love the original Passion for men. Too bad the original is so watered down, that the performance is terrible... This is without a question much stronger than the original, and i detect perhaps a touch of oud. Definitely a complex fragrance, and leans very 80's or 90's scent. Performance is stellar with a good 2' scent bubble. Being a frag that's hard to find at this point, your only option is likely EBay, or perhaps a rural drugstore. Too bad this one was discontinued. I'll enjoy this until my bottle is gone... You have to really enjoy vintage frags to love this one, which thankfully I do.

very classical i thought it was nice . looked really nice sitting on the dresser while i had it . it reminded me of a real high quality cologne with natural ingredients. similar is Calvin Calvin Klein for men vintage

Hmm - don't know about this one. I love and wear the women's version, but this I bought solely based upon a tiny few reviews and that it was supposedly amber and vanilla. Well, no - not any amber and vanilla combo I've ever smelled and I love and own some good examples like MPG Ambre Precieux, Lutens Ambre Sultan, HdP Ambre 114, Ambre Russe, etc. This is firmly stuck in the 80's style of "everything but the kitchen sink" oriental, fougere, and chypre all squashed into one formula - there are echoes of other types, but it's firmly leaning in the fougere direction with its inclusion of lots of lavender, patchouli, tonka, oakmoss, pine but also has all the floral chypre elements of bergamot/citrus, galbanum, jasmine, neroli, geranium, amber and oakmoss. However, I'm not getting much of the oriental representation of vanilla, myrrh, benzoin, cinnamon, etc - perhaps they'll reveal themselves later. There's definitely a huge dose of leather (styrax) and musky, mossy funk in the base that will make anyone instantly sprout a pelt of chest hair - it's so unabashedly stereotypical masculine in it's style. If you lived through the 80s, you'll recognize this type of fragrance stew. You know - initially, it strongly reminded me of Salvador Dali Pour Homme - the infamous bloody lips, black cape and grave dirt plus asphalt gloom - very dense/heavy, darkly aromatic and overtly masculine in styling. Now it's moving more in the direction of the opening of the original Calvin Klein fragrance for men - Calvin, Coca by Cofinluxe and Aramis Tuscany. The lavender, nutmeg, leather, patchouli and musk being very similar/familiar amongst all of them. This would be a good alternative to the current formulation of Dali PH - it'll definitely make you think of that when first applied.

The other reviewer said that $15 for 100 ml is a good deal, but you'll be lucky to find a rare bottle of this one at any price now. You need to look for that gold shield emblem on the front of the bottle to distinguish it from the regular version, as you can see in the picture above. It seems to be more or less an EdP of the original. It's "thicker" but perhaps a touch simpler, with less of the sharpness. I think the best scent of this type is vintage Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne, which has a touch of a fresh/floral element that keeps it from feeling too heavy and plodding, so I'd say look for that one in vintage first, which I've seen sell for very good prices lately, and then if you dislike it, you might want to avoid all fragrances of this type. UPDATE: I'm enjoy this one more and Paul Sebastian less lately. This is smoother and the myrrh note is more obvious, which I prefer these days. Forget "almost niche quality," this stuff destroys niche!

It is more intense then the original,but in a good way,some people may not like this scent but for the price it is awesome and also it is EDT...Longevity 8h plus,sillage is not bad,can be noticed 1m around you and scent is ok,like real morning fragrance after morning shower... $15 for a bottle of 100ml it is good deal and not anoying fragrance,,,my advice is TRY BEFORE BUY...
